Small charming spot that serves exceptional food ranging from Greek dishes, sandwiches and wraps, Salmon as well as homemade burgers and fresh cut fries. There are items on the menu to please everyone. Not too many tables inside but lots of seating space outside on the patio which is decorated nicely, and offers live music.

First time trying this place for my birthday lunch. I wanted to check it out because I’ve heard they have great Greek food. The Greek food didn’t disappoint and the spinach & artichoke dip was amazing! I would definitely check this place out again and have heard they have amazing Caesars! Cheers!

Google
Great service, delicious food and excellent prices. The French onion soup was delicious, loved the type of bread croutons they used within the soup. My daughter loved the salmon and asked for it without the sauce and the beet salad was so fresh and well prepared. I got the short rib meal for my partner afterwards to go and it was so tender and a great portion. Will absolutely be back, this is a hidden gem!

The Sweet Onion Bistro is a wonderful spot in Wortley. The interior is quaint and cozy, and the patio is beautiful. The service is excellent, fast, and attentive. Though the main reason for the five stars is the food. We’ve tried the French onion soup, bruschetta, arancini balls, salmon and short ribs. They were all incredible. Full of flavour, cooked perfectly, and very reasonably priced for the quality. I would definitely recommend coming here for a nice dinner.

A lovely spot in Wortley Village. Their steps were not shovelled or salted so I had some trouble with crutches in the snow, slush and ice, but inside was lovely and the server was very friendly and answered all our questions with no problems. A little surprised at the smaller portions but it turned out to be just enough food for me to clean my plate. We had the white wine sangria with lots of fruit we all enjoyed sharing. And the warm Sticky Toffee Pudding to end the night was delicious. Overall, a nice slightly-upscale spot for a future date night or girls night out, hoping to come back in the summer when the weather is better.

Wonderful Bistro in Wortley Village....great atmosphere, delicious food, beautiful patio with live entertainment, and reasonable prices too! Perfect for date night, girls night out, anything really! Owner Cleopatra makes you feel so welcome. Have a birthday, smash a plate - Greek tradition. Can't go wrong!!!

Google
Grabbed a chicken souvlaki platter for pickup! It was ready in 20 mins and was seasoned to perfection 👍 Greek potatoes are so lemon-y and delicious! Kindest service from the lovely lady working and cozy European bistro vibes indoors. I am definitely inviting my friends to dine-in next time!

Saturday evening, on the last cold day of May, Cleopatra owner of the Sweet Onion re-worked the dining room to accommodate our group of 14. Our efficient, knowledgeable and charming waiter, Isaac. continued the magic and kept us happy and smiling. We all seemed to have ordered exactly what we wanted, from chicken souvlaki to bowls to eggplant parmigiana. The atmosphere was excellent, more Canadian than Greek until the several people celebrating birthdays were given empty plates to smash safely on the foyer floor. Nearly 3 hours of great food and drinks, reasonably priced in an unpretentious room on Wortley Road. I'm sure the patio will be enjoyed this summer. Cleopatra made a point of visiting our long central table throughout the evening.

Yelp
Excellent place to spend a Sunday evening. Life music, excellent Greek Food. Very friendly waitress. A jewel in Worley Village hidden away in the middle of London. Will add this place to our come back list.

Kelvin L.

Yelp
Sweet Onion Bistro is a Greek restaurant with other classic American and European fare. They have indoor and outdoor seating and lots of tables available. We missed the live music, but they do have a line-up of musicians on their website as well as a changing seasonal menu to look through. Service was quick around 20 min from order to food on the table. The selection of proteins and flavors satisfied everyone at the table. We ordered the Arancini, calamari, chicken souvlaki dinner (with an extra skewer), and a braised short rib (which was massive). The Arancini was great and the braised short rib was very flavorful. You can't miss with the classic chicken souvlaki. I would be back to try the bar inspired food next time, like the Saganaki Gyro Pita or Crispy Chicken Thai Wrap along with a Greek Poutine. Maybe we could catch some live music next time.

Yelp
WOW, great food. Tons of selections. Lots of food for dietary restrictions. Or just ask and they will try to accommodate. Lovely place in a village setting. Amazing service and wait staff!!!!

Stella K.

Yelp
I did not eat, the food looked great with the group of people that i was with, I did ask for something I wanted 3 times before it was brought to me, unfortunately, one of the persons I was sitting with went in and got what I wanted. I was quite disappointed that there was no way a handicapped person could get inside when it started raining. He was put in a corner where there was an awning but the poor guy was drenched. I really think the handicapped need to be serviced the same way as the others in the restaurant.

Grace T.

Yelp
We waited a long time for just average food. The breaking of a plate was fun, but eating out should be better than eating at home. This just wasn't.

Chris G.

Yelp
It was ok. Wouldn't think of going again. If you want home style it may appeal to you.

Mike R.

Yelp
Great food. Awesome host. Everybody enjoyed their meal and service. I will return again

Darren L.

Yelp
Very nice place with very friendly staff. Food is pretty good too. Nice options to choose from, leaning towards a Greek pallet. The chicken was a little lacking in flavour and they charge extra for more sauce which is the only reason why it did not get 5 stars.

Kellie H.

Yelp
I didn't even want to give this 1 star but we had to in order to make this review! We had a very disappointing experience here! We had reservations & were stuck at 2 wobbly tables shoved together that could barely fit us. We waited over an hour for our meals & never got a water refill or an update on our long wait. When our food finally came, we had no utensils. The steak was wrapped in soggy bacon and over cooked to the point that it wasn't edible. My child wasn't even offered the dessert that was INCLUDED with his meal. Our chicken souvlaki Was served with 3 potatoes & cold rice. I could go on and on but the bottom line is, don't waste your money! We could have had better service & food at the Mall food court!

Marianne P.

Yelp
We found this restaurant through Yelp and stopped in as the first dinner guests of the night. The atmosphere is comfortable like someone's home snd our waiter was really attentive. I had an excellent sandwich and good beer.

Austyn C.

Yelp
The best food! Not pricey at all, and great service! Definitely try the fajita and cheese appetizer and pickle fries! To die for man!

Syeph S.

Yelp
Not much to say. It's not outstanding. It's overpriced. Wish something new would replace this restaurant because it's a great location

Katherine S.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for lunch. The waitress was very friendly. I got the beet & cheese salad which was very good. The beets were pretty bland but I did enjoy the salad overall. My friend got the Caesar salad. The house-made dressing wasn't very garlicky. It had a strong mayo base that my friend wasn't a fan of.

Yelp
Last night we celebrated the end of the year with our Yelp International Supper Club by celebrating American Cuisine with Greek night at the Sweet Onion Bistro in the heart of Wortley Village. Reservations were made prior to coming, which is a good thing that we did because Greek night was busy. The restaurant itself was small, and tables were fairly close together, and we were seated at our reserved table right away. There we're five of us and our drink orders and our menus were handed to us and took a few moments to look. I had looked at the menu online prior to coming, so I had an idea of what I wanted. Our waitress, who was wonderful, came back with our drinks and took our orders. I had ordered the trio dip for an appetizer which came with tirokefteri, taramasalata and tzatziki sauces with warm pita bread and for my actual entree I got the Chicken Pita, which came with fries stuffed in it, but they omitted that for me. The appetizers and meals came out in good time, the dips were delicious and full of flavour, and the chicken pita came with fries, which I don't personally like fries, so I shared them with everyone, and the most delicious Greek salad ever; it came with green peppers, sliced tomatoes, red onion, and a wedge of feta cheese, which I loved! The ambiance was loud, and I felt like I had to raise my voice louder, almost yelling to talk to my friend right next to me. The tables were very close together, but the whole entire place was pretty small itself on the inside. Everything else was wonderful, the food, the company, our waitress was wonderful, giving us great suggestions and recommending menu items. I will go back again on another night to try their regular menu. My suggestion is, from going last night, to make a reservation so you're seated right away.

Rhoda G.

Yelp
I'm in the neighborhood quite often and this place is usually quite busy out on the patio. My first time there today and it was very disappointing. We ordered the dip appetizer that comes with pita wedges and nachos. Very few nachos but couldn't eat them anyway. They were very soggy. Like a liquid fell on them. Didn't even break when you bit into them. The dip portions were small and not much taste. My friend said he would be embarrassed if I complained so I didn't. A customer pays good money for good food - not god knows where that came from food - so I complain. Won't be going there again.

Yelp
August 9 sunny lunch visit today . The patio was busy but we grabbed a table after a couple finally left having gabbed over drinks far too long l The campers left and I ordered a good beer and the lamb burger with great Yes great fries , My friend had the Ruben sandwich Staff were attractive and efficient and seasoned in the smooth operation of the patio Washrooms are inside the dining room area Formerly Relish , now and improved as a sweet onion bee Back soon

Yelp
Showed up on a Thursday night. All the outside tables were booked because a muscian was coming. So settled down inside. Ordered the Fish and Chips (Sorry Sweet Onion, there was no way I could remember the complete name). Fish was amazing...it was huge! Not oily. Batter was light and crispy. Chips were storemade and good also. Only downside was my fly visitor and no real ciders. Was also wishing they did not use a radio station as music. Otherwise, great experience. Service was excellent!

Megan V.

Yelp
I called up Sweet Onion Grill to see if there was a wait and they were able to secure one last table for my family on a Sunday night. This was a big score for us since the chain restaurant we were at had an hour-long wait and that just wasn't going to do. Plus I'd much rather support a local business than a chain! When we arrived we were quickly recognized and seated at a table. The waiter we had was top notch. Probably one of the best experiences I've had in a LONG time. He was personable and funny without being cheesy, cliche, or rude. I'm not sure what stood out more, the service or the food. I had the pear, vanilla and bacon salad and it was delightful. It was very fresh and had the perfect amount of sweet vs salty. I got the chicken supreme which was cooked perfectly. I loved the corn and the potatoes that it came with. We didn't want the meal to end so we got dessert. The peanut butter cheesecake was superb. Definitely not too sweet, it was perfect to share. My dad loved his sweet onion soup and his steak was cooked perfectly. He was gushing about it on the walk back to the car. My mom liked her chicken pita very much. My boyfriend got the salmon and risotto and he also very much enjoyed it. Thank you Chain-Restaurant-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named and your hour-long line up. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have come to Sweet Onion Grill. We will definitely be back and my parents have a new appreciation for great local business!

Yelp
First time here and we stumbled upon their Greek night. Live Greek music, extra Greek dishes (they have plenty on their regular menu) and an awesome atmosphere. They've got great seating both inside and on the patio and are a great piece of the puzzle that make Wortley Village an attractive food destination. I had Roasted Goat, which was phenomenal. Also had the calamari and the appetizer dish of cheese they douse with ouzo and light on fire. Opa! My wife had the Souvlaki plate, which was great. The food was homemade and delicious. They also have Krobenburg Blanc on tap, which makes my wife very happy!

Iman M.

Yelp
Even better than I hoped! We made reservations for a Saturday dinner and when we arrived, we were seated right away. The service continued to be fast and friendly throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really warm and would be nice for a group gathering or for something more intimate. I ordered the gyro (which comes with fries and a greek salad) and my friend got the fish and chips. Both were very reasonably priced and tasted great! Bonus: if it's your birthday, they give you a free shot and a plate to smash. So fun!

Yelp
I've lived in Wortley for years, but I've never thought to try this gem. I moved to a new apartment, and I'm really glad we were so tired that sweet onion bistro was calling our names. The service was impeccable, the food delicious, and the ambiance surreal. We got the crostini with garlic and Brie to start. An excellent choice. The lamb loaf was moist, full of flavour. There was a mix up in the kitchen and our entrees took a lot of time to arrive. As an apology, the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake was divine. Loved coming here. Will be back.

Rick E.

Yelp
A quaint little Bistro on Wortley was a nice surprise. The outdoor patio was lovely. The food was fresh, home made and very delicious. The owner was also our waitress. Highly recommend a visit for a relaxed lunch.

Lawrence Z.

Yelp
Enjoying Canada Say with the family, we decided to try this place for lunch. We felt welcoming right from the beginning. With such a beautiful day, we decided to sit on the patio. Had the Canada Day special (beer and a Niger) for under 10 bucks, and my son had the grilled cheese sandwich. My wife had the salad with a side of calamari. Good service along with tasty food makes this a place to check out. Would come back to check out other items the menu has to offer.

Yelp
What a gem! French onion soup: 8/10 - nicely seasoned, lots of delicious onions, a little more cheese would be nice Sirloin steak: 9/10 - killer! Comes with a delicious creamy sauce that is called "blue cheese" but tastes more like a pepper gravy. Whatever it is, it's fantastic. The buttered asparagus is tasty, and the fondant potatoes are the BEST. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. It's not a heap full of food, but a moderate portion that leaves you feeling satisfied. Buffalo burger: 10/10 - excellent burger - all aspects of it were fantastic. Had it with a Caesar salad which was refreshing and crisp. Nice wine selection, we enjoyed the Bachellery Pinot Noir. Enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake! Location: quaint/cute little place that gives you a very cozy, comforting and European feel Service: wonderful! Friendly and engaging staff that is respectful, entertaining and honest. Our server even surprised us by giving the dessert at no charge :)

Abigael P.

Yelp
My friend and I came in on a Wednesday night for dinner. The first thing we noticed was the ambience - warm, cozy, and dim lighting with candles. We sat down next to the windows and across from the bar for more lighting. Service was great and super friendly. We even got to talk to the owner of the restaurant who told us a bit of the history behind the place (it was a restaurant that had been handled and turned into a bunch of different things - pub, asian cuisine, etc.) and what they plan to do with it - they want to make it a bistro, a welcoming place for everyone and anyone to come in at any time to have a casual drink, a snack, a place to study, etc. We ordered two entrees: pan roasted chicken served on potato gnocchi and a basil and tomato sauce and parmesan crusted salmon served on a nicoise salad (potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, a soft boiled egg all topped with a sweet mustard vinaigrette). The chicken was cooked perfectly - not dry - juicy and bursting with flavour. While I was expecting more of a bold gnocchi flavour, paired with the chicken and sauce, the dish was good. The salmon was delicious - the salad and egg make this a well-rounded healthy dish. Doesn't leave you feeling greasy - leaves you feeling satisfied! For dessert, we ordered a salted caramel chocolate cake. It was decadent and sweet and served with a chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. It had a thick chocolate base and was pretty yummy though I would have liked for there to be more of a salty taste to it to balance the sweetness of the dish. Overall, Sweet Onion is a great venue and it's located in one of London's charming streets. Great for conversation and filled with warmth, Sweet Onion is here to stay.

Yelp
You should be very concerned about this place. They received a yellow warning from the London Health Unit recently and this restaurant continues to have significant health inspection issues year after year. Clearly management is not getting the message and they are putting the health of their guests at risk. Send a message, tell the owner to fix the darn issues, or sell the business to someone who cares ! https://inspections.healthunit.com/Portal/Inspection/Details/03e7e513-4f36-48a7-8a36-e1e9ddb97b36

Yelp
Really tasty food! Service was attentive and very friendly. Ambiance was a bit lacking though--the room was dimmed for effect but it honestly just felt like a few light bulbs went out. The arrangement of tables looked a bit messy. The food was great though, well priced and tasty.

Dan Joanna D.

Yelp
Absolutely loved stumbling upon this great little spot in Wortley. Great selection of cocktails and beers on tap, excellent menu and the service was over the top good. We will be back and we will recommend. The owner walked us to our vehicle with a patio umbrella because it was raining.

Beth T.

Yelp
Very cozy place in a picturesque neighbourhood. We come every week while we wait for our grandkids to finish choir. Tyler always has our drinks ready for us with a smile. The food service and waitstaff is great. Menu is small but tasty. Never had a complaint in the three years we have been coming.

Victor L.

Yelp
A gem of a restaurant! The food was very delicious, and the service was great. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the summer weather. Excellent place for a group of friends, date or work function I'd say. There is ample street parking. They also run an ice cream parlour just around the side too for a sweet finish to a delicious meal.

Aaron K.

Yelp
First time here. Nice atmosphere, cozy, intimate. Reasonably priced, staff were attentive and friendly. Nice Greek tradition of breaking a plate for your birthday. Fun Will be back for sure

Tina L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Thursday night with a friend. Made a reservation for 5:15pm but arrived at 5pm and they already had our table ready for us! I ordered the lamb burger and my friend had the gyro. Both were DELICIOUS. I asked for my lamb burger to be well done but not dry. It was cooked perfectly. I would recommend asking for a little bit of tzatziki on the side to spread on the burger. It doesn't come with any mayo or sauces and I don't typically like ketchup or mustard on my lamb burgers. The tzatziki was PERFECT on it. The fries were crispy and fresh. Our waitress was excellent. Very attentive and brought me some tzatziki right away when I asked. All-in-all, we loved our meal and will definitely be coming back here for another meal!

Aimee G.

Yelp
Wow! All the great reviews are right! The food and service are outstanding! Don't miss the chef's special salmon preparation or the eggplant parm (not the saucy kind but something magical!). We are definitely going to come back. It was a random chance to stop on route back home to Buffalo from Michigan. Totally worth stop!

Jack W.

Yelp
We were tasked to find a new restaurant when my brother was in town last Sunday and decided on the Sweet Onion as we heard good things. Unfortunately OVER an hour wait after we ordered with kids for mediocre food. Our server did all she could but it was obvious they were floundering, lots of excuses, promises it'll be out soon at 35, 45, 55 minutes. It would have been nice to hear from a manager but nothing, maybe through here. When the food did come nothing above and beyond to make it right, no manager or coupon to bring us back for another chance, just seemed like management didn't care. Our server did reduce the bill and offered free dessert (we made sure it didn't affect her before accepting) but that's the minimum they should do after a bad experience.

Grace T.

Yelp
I love the staff and the patio set up, especially during COVID times. I get the chicken pita every time I come and have sadly noticed the quality going down over the past few years. The chicken in the pita is worse quality and the pita is now deep fried for some reason. The salad is no longer an authentic Greek salad and is much smaller and the fries aren't as good. Also no fries in the pita anymore! Please return to the original pita meal --it was amazing! Still a good meal, but not the best anymore. I will keep coming for the atmosphere, but may have to try a new order !

Barry S.

Yelp
Looking for a casual meal we found ourselves at the Sweet Onion. Unfortunately the entrees ordered did not come close to being even satisfactory. The Canadian Pizza was basically a supermarket frozen variety and over cooked as well. It was sent back The Angus burger should have been sent back (also overcooked) but was not. We cut our losses, paid our bill and left. Not the dining experience you look for on an evening out.

Steve T.

Yelp
Best Food- Great Atmosphere-Fantastic Staff-Super Patio. You have to try the White Summer drink. Perfect for get togethers. And the view from the window booths and the patio is superb. You will love this place.

Andrew S.

Yelp
What a great place for lunch. Everything was clean and the service was great. Being from the states they get high marks as they serve 5-Alive which we have been without for over 20 years. The Montreal Beef sandwiches (corn beef seasoned pastrami) were great long with the poutine, calamari, French onion soup and everything else we tried.

Sam A.

Yelp
What can I say? I think it's one of the only real, family owned, nice, romantic food establishments in London. First of, the food is great and high quality. Second, the prices are very reasonable. Thirdly, the place looks great and they treat everyone very well. They have a good reputation in London and I understand why! Would go every week to try a new dish if I could

Aaron D.

Yelp
Great food and even better staff. They make you feel like one of the family. Highly recommended. In the summer, the patio is second to none and a must hit.

Etienne L.

Yelp
I had a buffalo burger from the Sweet Onion Bistro that was memorably juicy and delicious. I'll come back again, just for another burger.

Dennis P.

Yelp
Had a wonderful evening at the Sweet Onion Bistro. Their patio is lovely in the heart of Wortley Village. Food was great, wonderful menu variety and very reasonable pricing. We spoke with the owner and she was wonderful. Very eager to make each and every diner feel like they are the most important patrons in her establishment. Will definitely go back as there are many more items on her new menu that we are looking forward to trying! Thanks for a great evening and we will be back soon.

Paul D.

Yelp
A very cute restaurant with a nice aesthetic but a disappointingly small menu. The service we had was great and the interior is cute but it feels crowded, loud and unimpressive food. The food was overpriced as was the wine and cocktails but at least the draft beers are well priced ($6.85). Unfortunately the menu just didn't impress with nothing really unique or noteworthy.

Ruth Anne G.

Yelp
Very busy place for a Tuesday. Quite the lineup for the outdoor patio, and the staff moving as fast & pleasantly as they can to accommodate the patrons. The waterbuffalo, haddock & eggplant parmesan was nicely plated, and tasted amazing! I would highly recommend this establishment with it's comfortable atmosphere and very pleasant staff.

Kathleen S.

Yelp
Great little restaurant. Call ahead and make a reservation. The lunch and dinner menus are both excellent. I love the saganaki.

Mark C.

Yelp
The food was good and greek inspired for the most part. I had the salmon with risotto while it was light i would say it lacked a little bit of salt which can always be added which wasn't a problem once added the food tasted delicious. The staff was friendly as well.

Anne R.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I read all of the great reviews on yelp. Today is Canada's "Taste for Life" dine out for HIV fundraiser. There were several participating restaurants listed on TFL's website. After reading Yelp reviews of several of them, I selected Sweet Onion Bistro because it had great reviews and is located in a neighborhood that has better parking than downtown. I haven't dined out in weeks because I'm on tight budget, so I was really looking forward to this tonight. TFL's website had "Reservation" buttons under each restaurant option, but had an error message when I clicked on it. So I went to the trouble to CALL Sweet Onion Bistro before I left my house 3 hours earlier, to make a reservation. The man who answered didn't seem to think one was necessary. I said it was just me, and that I'd be there around 4pm. He said I would be seated with no problem. I arrived around 20 minutes before 4pm and was told by hostess and waitstaff that they were "100% full" on reservations. I pointed out that I had called earlier and spoke to someone who essentially guaranteed me a table. They offered to seat me next to the bar, which is right next to the noisy kitchen. This part of the restaurant is decidedly NOT very decorative or pleasant to sit in. (They did offer a table on the patio for "one hour" but I told them I didn't want a time limit after which I'd be given the bum's rush.) I've been here less than 5 minutes, and I've already heard 2-3 arguments between staff. Not to mention, the man behind the bar (who sounds suspiciously like the man I talked to earlier on the phone) is loud and brusque with his waitstaff. And I get to hear ALL of it. Awesome! Later that same day... When I first arrived, I asked if the AIDS organization volunteers would be in the restaurant to collect separate donations like they do in Seattle and was given an unequivocal "No." Well, the local volunteers just arrived and when I pointed this out, restaurant staff insisted they'd never heard anything about it when I first got here. That's it. This place sucks balls. Two stars: - 1st star because they have free wifi and because I had the foresight to bring my laptop and earbuds, I was able to drown out *most of* the staff conversation (maybe I should give that star to me). Unfortunately, I would need to be blindfolded to avoid seeing the staff hanging out right in front of me. - 2nd star because the food was rather tasty: French onion soup and pasta e olio. Unfortunately it can't make up for the overall shitty experience and treatment I received at SOB. Hah. Sob. I'm not crying. I just won't come back. And I don't recommend you come here either.

L F.

Yelp
Really great customer service and atmosphere if you sitting outside on the patio. Great apps, and the saganaki is a crowd pleasure but some of the entrees could definitely use some revamping. The eggplant parm was served with zoodles that were a little on the watery side, I think serving them with actual noodles would have worked better. The seafood linguine was good as was the souvlaki wrap. The chicken tandoori was a bit too deconstructed. But ya overall a good experience.

Laura H.

Yelp
First visit to this restaurant since it changed ownership/name from Relish. I went for dinner on a Sunday summer evening around 7pm -- the patio was packed. Luckily I was looking for some A/C since mine was on the fritz and asked for a table inside. Perhaps this was my mistake. They may have received more stars had I not gone inside... The inside leaves a lot to be desired decor-wise. It feels like the modern chairs were inherited and are decent, but the tables/banquets feel homemade. The walls are "decorated" with generic prints of Paris, what appear to be family photos and light up christmas wreaths. The tables are covered with un-ironed black linens. The door to the kitchen and front entrance have 80s floral brocade curtains hung. The security cameras are placed obviously and the blue ethernet cable runs from the ceiling over to the bar area. There are two booths in front of the bar that feature a view of Wortley. Unfortunately, despite being one of only 2 tables seated inside, we couldn't sit there as they were both being used by staff to roll cutlery?? Speaking of the curtain dividers, the kitchen staff would be well advised to keep in mind the lack of sound barrier. I heard about their weekend plans, opinions re:menu items, not to mention when all the meals were "up". Given the above I did not have high hopes for the food. But at least there they surpassed my expectations. I had the Londonlicious menu featuring Panko Brie, Tandoori supreme of chicken with cucumber raita and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. I was pleasantly surprised at all. Brie was gooey and came with crispy proscuitto. The chicken was moist and nicely spiced. The chickpea/blackbean/tomato ragout accompaniment was tasty and the raita added that cooling element. Certainly not what you would get at an Indian resto, but a nice homage. The LL price was $30. All of the items are part of their regular menu and is regularly $27 for the same app and entree. I don't think it was much of a deal. None of their LL offerings were special additions for the event as far as I could tell. My dad loved the Angus burger and thought it was moist. He declared his accompanying caesar salad one of the best he had ever had --he especially liked the addition of caramelized onions. I think the food is worth the price, but if you're going for year round clientele, the Sweet Onion needs to step up its' atmosphere.
