The Sweet Spot brings favorites from Asia, Europe, and Latin America | Eater Vegas

"An upgraded take on the familiar boba-dessert-shop formula on Spring Mountain Road, this Chinatown Plaza ground-floor outlet offers globally inspired, highly customizable sweet and savory items for dine-in or to-go. Crepes and Belgian and Hong Kong waffles are listed at $5.98 each (fillings like orange marmalade, gelato, kiwi, banana peppers, ham, turkey, chicken, or sausage cost extra), and gelato features unusual flavors such as black sesame, avocado, taro, and pandan leaf with young coconut. The menu also includes Vietnamese and traditional-style sandwiches alongside larger dessert creations like S’mores, dulce de leche, and the $7.98 “La Classique” prepared with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas. A variety of snacky sides—cheese curds, jalapeño poppers, deep-fried tofu, popcorn chicken—and a $5.95 “elotes en vaso” round out the offerings. Hours are early mornings through late nights on weekdays (opens 5:00 a.m., closes 10:30 p.m.; 12:30 a.m. closing on Friday) and later weekend starts (opens 7:00 a.m., closes 12:30 a.m. Saturday and 10:30 p.m. Sunday)." - Bradley Martin

The Sweet Spot is a dessert shop in Chinatown Plaza on Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas. It opened in 2019 and is owned by Tiffany T., who combined her love of sweets and handmade accessories to create a space that’s part café, part boutique.

There were no gelato flavors, and the ice cream I ordered tasted weird and grainy. I threw away most of it as it was gross. The spoon was a sample spoon, tiny. The shop is cluttered with stuff to buy like knock off name-brand jewelry and keychains. I don’t understand the high reviews. Maybe the have more selections if it was a weekend? Won’t be coming back.

Google
Went for a Gelato.... They had, none! Zero flavors.... They might want to make that change to their website or Google listing. Hard pass if that is what you are Ordered a mint chip milkshake.... They made it a frappe with ice. Definitely not what I was expecting. The ordering system was down. So less than favorable experience.

Wow. Ok guys. Here is the real review. All the reviews and pics looked awesome, came in and there was 4 flavors of gelato almost all empty, so went for the crepes. They were just bland and ok, got a side of icecream wasn’t anymore then 2 spoon fulls and the water cup was a gulp. There is seatings for 3, and lots of jewelry for sale… after a $20 taxi ride here and $30 for 2 crepes ….. you do the math

We stopped into The Sweet Spot for some desserts and wow were our expectations exceeded. The restaurant is very small with only 4 seats for customers, 3 of which were taken when our party of 5 arrived. The wait was worth it, our crepes were beautiful and delicious. I got the strawberry banana Nutella crepe and it was delightful. The two who got the lemon crepes raved about it as well. They were all made fresh, so it took a bit to get our orders with the drinks for our party and two other parties behind us coming out long before our crepes, but the wait wasn't overwhelming. Definitely recommend the crepes. The ice cream that came with the crepes was okay but not the star of the show by far.

Visiting Vegas & this place was on my to go list for some dessert. The restaurant is very small with only 4 seats for customers but the interior design was absolutely beautiful. The lady that took my order was very sweet. My crepes were beautiful and delicious. I got the strawberry banana chocolate crepe and it was amazing. They were made fresh, the wait wasn't long. Definitely recommend the crepes. The ice cream that came with the crepes was good, I just wish I chose the vanilla one instead.

Small desserts shop next to 99 ranch… good Boba tea options, and they even serve crêpes…

Google
I went with my mom with the thought the look of the place is like the pictures. You step into a glass case right in front on the counter when you step in. All ice cream containers are empty like there was no supply stock. We were advised to just order from the wall menu. I still tried it out. We got the Rose milk tea and Lavender milk tea with almond milk. Mine with boba. I am a boba enthusiast. Sorry, but I did not like my drink taste and drinks are in a standard plain clear plastic to-go cup with lid and straw. No logo, nothing special at all. We were very unimpressed and disappointed. Both regular sized drinks total $14.95. We will not be coming back here.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere, great coffee and Thai tea. Love the music ambience, friendly staff, loved talking with them && their labubu collection.

Yelp
Came here for gelato after seeing the great reviews but was super disappointed. The pistachio and black sesame gelato tasted rancid. The coffee and tiramisu gelatos were not good either. Maybe the gelato sat around too long. I ended up getting their commercial mint chocolate chip. My friend had the pina colada smoothie with boba and said the coconut cream is not fresh. The service was good though. I will not come back.

Yelp
Omg this place is AMAZING!!! We got the peach milk tea and Nutella frap. The milk tea is the best I've tried in Vegas so far. Cute shop and nice service. They really take their time making their drinks and don't rush. I highly recommend trying this place over the typical chain milk tea places. They have a lot of different flavors of milk tea which I really like. Will be coming here again when I return to Vegas.

Yelp
We were looking for a good boba spot and stumbled upon this great place! The inside is super cute, light, and airy. The sweet lady who helped us was very kind and gave us suggestions on what drinks to get. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and we also got the taro boba and jasmine boba. She made each drink with love and care. We all told her how much we enjoyed our drinks and told her whenever we are here we will make sure to stop by. Thank you for the lovely drinks!! :)

Yelp
If you're a bubble tea fan or just someone with a sweet tooth, The Sweet Spot might become your new favorite hangout. It's kinda of tucked away in a cozy corner of the china town, this boba shop blends creativity, quality, and atmosphere into one great experience.

Yelp
Unfortunately, they did not hit the spot. The Sweet Spot is a dessert shop in the busy Chinatown Plaza. I'd heard through the grapevine that they actually offer gelato made in-house, and I was shocked that such a concept had escaped my radar for so long. Those who were with me in the heyday of Vegas gelato know how much I miss having those types of establishments available. After having lunch nearby on Spring Mountain, I finally had the opportunity to swing by for dessert. Considering that it was a weekday holiday and the parking lot appeared very crowded, I felt very fortunate to find a lone parking space available nearby. That's where the fortune ended though. They only had four gelato flavors written on the menu and the employee (or proprietor?) stated that only three were available. Even a gelateria in SoCal last year on the brink of closure (as I found out afterward) had considerably more options than this. I saw a wider variety in some older photos from this business, so that first impression was quite disappointing. I only wanted two of the flavors, namely the durian gelato and the mango sorbet, so I ordered the minimum size and wound up with a medium cup for $7.18. But it really felt like a small cup in portion, and that's not even the worst part. The mango sorbet was icy in every little bite which I excavated with my gelato spoon, with some crystals in plain sight. The flavor was fairly light and not all that sweet, certainly not as rich as some of the past mango sorbetti which we've had in Vegas. The durian was creamy and did not suffer from ice crystals, but it had no aroma and barely any of the requisite flavor. I'll consider trying The Sweet Spot again if I'm in the area and want gelato, but they were a letdown today. If they can upgrade their refrigeration and pack more flavor into their offerings, they might succeed at the gelato thing. Or maybe I should have tried a crepe or milk tea instead.

Yelp
A nice little cafe with a French/Parisian theme. Crepes were delicious. Prices were about fair compared to other crepes places. Service was par. Not much seating.

Yelp
I was at Chinatown plaza looking for boba and walked by this place. They were closed for the day, but an employee motioned for us to enter and opened the door. They opened their doors just for us and turned on their TV screens so we could see the menu. Got a matcha milk tea with boba and also got to sample some ube gelato that they had just finished making. My mom really enjoyed her matcha milk tea. The ube gelato was super delicious and rich. The staff were very hospitable and made us feel so welcome. They even gave us a taste of the matcha milk tea before serving it up to make sure it was the right amount of sweetness and asked if we needed it to be sweeter. Very cute interior, love the colors and decor, looks very clean.

Yelp
I usually don't leave bad reviews but i was so sad from me and my partners drinks, they got a strawberry milk tea with boba, theirs had mini boba and regular boba and the tapiocas were hard , and I got a cappuccino, and i ended up getting a flat white, there was actually no foam which is the whole point of a cappuccino, and i got it with vanilla and i taste no vanilla .

Randy W.

Yelp
Cute place but disappointed with no gelato despite searching specifically for gelato and this place pops up. The staff seem to be nice but unfortunately not able to enjoy anything as I was not in the mood for crepes. All the best to this Sweet Spot

Yelp
Tried the Classic Crepe one evening as a take out. It was deliciously filled with strawberries, bananas and Nutella, and topped with whipped cream. Friendly fast service.
google avatar

E.K. H.

Yelp
I ordered an Americano and a Vietnamese coffee with coconut smoothie. Maybe the server didn't know how to make the smoothie properly but it was totally tasteless, more like slushy ice with some whipped coconut cream. Totally n worth the price.

Yelp
I had never had a crepe before so I just wanted a plain crepe with nothing on it. I was surprised that I really liked it. When I order it again I would only put a light dusting of powder sugar. Btw, a nice cafe with polite staff. Check them out if you're in the area.

Yelp
Small shop in China town. Stopped by Diamond Bakery and figured we give this spot a try for coffee. We spent $20 for 2 large coffees which is pretty pricey in my opinion. One was an Iced Nutella Latte and the other was a blended coconut Vietnamese coffee. Both were ok, not too sweet. The person who took our order was nice and informative but overall, probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
The Sweet Spot is a dessert gelato, ice cream, Boba, and milk tea specialty place. It's located in Spring Mountain Plaza next to the Diamond Bakery and the Noodle Pot. There is spacious amount of parking available. After eating at MIAN, my partner and I decided to stop by The Sweet Spot for a dessert. The restaurant's décor is beautiful and unique! The Menu has a wide variety of flavors for Boba, Milk Tea and much more! It was quite overwhelming with all of the different selections. There was just so many flavors that I wanted to try out! We waited about 10 minutes to place our order as there were several parties ahead of us. Once we got to the register, we had placed our order. 1) Waffle Cone with Red Velvet Gelato 2) Chocolate Milkshake (Regular size) with the Sea Salt Mousse 3) Taro Smoothie with Regular Boba. The Sweet Spot uses real Taro. The Taro Smoothie was so refreshing. It was quite delicious and flavorful. My partner hadn't had a Taro Smoothie like it before. The Chocolate Milkshake was okay. The consistency was thin, not like a thick milkshake. The Sea Salt Mousse was yummy. I wouldn't order a Milkshake again, but the Waffle Cone with the Red Velvet Gelato was scrumptious! Next time, I'd like to try one of their crepes.

Yelp
Small, unassuming place right next to the main shopping plaza entrance. This review is only for their hot drinks which were really good. I was surprised at the quality and taste of their coffee. I don't know why I wasn't expecting much, but I definitely enjoyed this miles beyond Starbucks swill. Looks like it was run by a mother-daughter/family team when I was there. Service was good. Would return.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Very friendly and a nice spot for something sweet. The boba is good, but a little too sweet for my taste. The staff are really friendly and the decor are cute :)
google avatar

Y'von S.

Yelp
I've been to the sweet spot several times now and it has become my go to spot for Boba and slushy drinks in Chinatown. I order a Lychee peach slush with lychee jelly. Let me tell you...the drinks are so good! They use natural cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup and real ingredients. It's a cute little shop with Asian and French themed decor. The staff and owner are so kind when I come in. I would give this place a try the next time you're in the Chinatown Plaza.
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
The employees were sweet, unfortunately there is way too many dessert spots in Vegas to be this under performing. I wish I had taken a photo of my crepe. Beyond soggy, small, just bland and once again so soggy. I also had taro milk tea with boba, which was beyond flavorless. Once again there are so many boba and crepe shops in Vegas, that it is beyond me that you can underperform this bad. I felt as though I wasted my money.

Alexandra E.

Yelp
Walked in here on a whim after we had some dumplings in the same plaza and let me just say... I had the BEST crepe I've ever had in Vegas. They also offer tiger milk tea boba with extra flavors I've never seen combined. Get the crepes and get the tiger milk crème brûlée boba

Yelp
I've been to various boba spots within Las Vegas and throughout southern and northern California, however I have to say this is my absolute favorite spot I've been to in my entire life. My reasonings for this is because as a customer I can tell that the owners put a lot of time, effort, and money into this small shop. The way I can tell is the interior is well decorated, they have a consistent design theme throughout the entire place. They have sparkly chandelier, cute wallpaper, well designed menu, and my absolute favorite part of their design is their tea bar for the barista is extremely organized with endless amounts of flavor and lots of space for the barista to work with. On top of that, everything is sparkly clean. My second reasoning is the milk tea is delicious, they have a lot of flavors but not too many, as their menu isn't overwhelming. Their tiger teas are rich with brown sugar, that mixed well with whatever tea it's paired with. They have mini boba and regular boba! The boba they serve here is always soft and sweet, unlike some places who don't thoroughly cook their boba. My last reasoning is that the staff is so kind and friendly, they always are smiling and happy to assist. They even make sure you like how your drink tastes before they serve you by making you a small sample . Which is perfect for anyone who is afraid to try new flavors. I wish nothing but success and tons of customers for this business, and I will do my best to be a regular along with bringing any friends or family I have.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service! They forgot the boba but that's an easy fix. There was no wait but people come in waves. It got crowded but not for long.
google avatar

Crystal L.

Yelp
Finally tried this little place in chinatown and noticed they had a durian smoothie so I had to get it! They also offer milk alternatives for those who are lactose intolerant. The staff were nice and provided a sample of the sweetness to confirm the level of adjustment. The smoothie had a bit more ice than I am used to but the flavor was definitely there! Will definitely need to try their crepes and other desserts they have to offer.
google avatar

Jet C.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients for refreshing drinks! Such a gem in the Chinatown plaza with plenty of menu options for any drink cravings you may. The drinks taste fresh and they also let you try the drinks as they make if any adjustments like sweetness levels are necessary. Highly recommend the mango slush as it has real and fresh mangos blended in thatgives it that extra boost in flavor.

Yelp
This is a new crepe spot located across the way from 99 ranch Market. It is very small inside with 2 tables available crammed to the side and having to sit uncomfortably while other customers are waiting to order. Service was a bit slow because there is 1 person doing everything. The ordering was a bit confusing because the worker didn't really understand me. I ordered the classic crepe which consists of the usual bananas, strawberries, and Nutella ($15) with ice cream (+$1). I did enjoy getting to watch how it's made! The worker made 3 crepes 1 of which was an oreo crepe I'm guessing? And the other 2 the classic crepes. There were other customers before me and I don't know how long they were waiting. I did notice that my crepe was made differently only because I asked for condensed milk to be added i guess! The other classic crepe got Nutella inside the crepe and strawberries on top of the whipped cream, but mine didn't. Hopefully they can work on being consistent with their items they sell. Definitely would not go back, but, hey go try it for yourself! Happy eating :)

Yelp
The best costumer service I've received in a long time. The two ladies working were the sweetest and the brown sugar creme brûlée drink was absolutely amazing!!

Yelp
The Sweet Spot is a gem! We were visiting from San Diego and had a craving for boba. My girlfriend loved the Hokkaido! The honeydew slushy on such a hot day was amazing; our drinks were delicious. We definitely plan to come back when we visit here in Las Vegas. BTW, the mother and daughter were awesome with their service and attention to the level of sweetness in our drinks. Perfectly made!
google avatar

Thomas Q.

Yelp
We wanted a crepe and ice cream place but decided to just choose one near us, much to our surprise they had it all! Ice cream and boba. My daughter ordered the passionfruit (fruit tea) and said this was the best she's ever had, service was good and the place is very neat as well, will come back.
google avatar

Iemaima T.

Yelp
There were a group of 6 of us for reference on how fast the service was! We walked in and out in all but 20 minutes. The lady who serviced us was phenomenal, patient & fast. The drinks were DELICIOUS and so refreshing especially here in the heat. The establishment was clean, had no odor, well lit and had beautiful decor. The photos provided were taken in a hurry due to excitement in wanting to try the yummy drink(s) so it definitely does not give the products justice. We will most definitely be back.

Lawrence D.

Yelp
The worst crepe I ever had. Served in a styrofoam togo box and the cheapest utensil. Covered in with a huge amount of whipped cream to cover what they call crepe? I pushed the whipped topping off to the side and cut into the crepe and it was just horrible. I took one bite and threw it away. There gelato/ice cream display case is empty? I should have left when I saw that.

Amy E.

Yelp
My friend introduced me to this hidden gem, and was amazing! Service was great along with my Funky Monkey Frappe. If you are in town or near it's definitely a must spot to try! Plus the owner is the sweetest lady and most soft spoken person I've meet. Go support locally owned business!
google avatar

TJ L.

Yelp
I enjoy the drinks. This cafe has a lot of great flavors and can customize the beverage to taste. The staff are as sweet as their products. The cafe is really cute inside.
google avatar

Mik L.

Yelp
Have been for the boba drinks. Vietnamese coffee with regular and mini boba - excellent. Not too sweet, I think its perfect the way they make it, but you do have the option of choosing the sweetness level. Taro smoothie with boba - she makes the taro fresh. This is not your cheapy, powdered, bright purple taro smoothie. I always try to stop in when I'm in the area, but they open at 12p. She also makes ice cream from scratch, but I haven't had the opportunity to try that yet.
google avatar

Sydney M.

Yelp
Amazing service, great drinks and crepes! the two ladies working there took great care of us for a first time visit!
google avatar

Yelp
The Sweet Spot lives up to its name! They will definitely satisfy your cravings and hit hit that spot :) I've been to so many cafés/dessert shoppes in Vegas and this one is now one of my faves! From the coffee, to the crêpes, to the gelato...you can tell that it's of high quality and took some expert preparation! Their gelatos are all made in the cafe; I think I tried most of the flavors lol they're all so amazing but I just absolutely loved the taro and pistachio! So Goood!! I've always thought that those two are the hardest flavors to get exactly right, either it's too sweet or not rich enough or have this artificial sugary taste to it, but they did it perfectly here! Also everyone here are so friendly and helpful! Thanks to Yassin and Tiffany for answering all my dessert related questions haha I'm serious about my treats. Oh and it's super cute and chic inside! XX
google avatar

Isabel P.

Yelp
The staff is amazingly sweet and nice but the drinks needs a whole lot of improvement. They were too nice that I couldn't dare go back and ask to be refunded for my wasted drink. The drink was bland and watery and the cheese mousse lacked the savory flavor. It was pricey which made this experience sadder. We went to Sweet Talk so I can order the same drink and not be disappointed. It's cheaper than this place too.

Alex J.

Yelp
Amazing. Boba tea and smoothies were delicious. I got Jasmine tea with almond milk and boba and my spouse got a pineapple coconut boba smoothie and they were both perfect. Adorable and clean, French themed cafe that seems out of place in Chinatown but it's the perfect place for a quick sweet drink or dessert after a lunch or dinner. Well done.
google avatar

Liv B.

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese iced coffee and also the one with the coconut smoothie added to it
google avatar

Yelp
After a nice lunch we decided we needed more sweetness and a little pick me up so decided to try " The Sweet Spot " (China town ) i had the Oolong tea 50% sweetened and tried some mango gelato . The service was welcoming and inviting , while I waited for my iced tea I was able to snap these pictures of the cute spot . It's very relaxing in there and a bit quite but its cool vibes . I will definitely be bringing my girl friends for my next visit Im sure they will enjoy it here . Looking forward to trying the Matcha next time. and the tasty crepes . I was also looking at the Horchata Gelato . Yummm

Yelp
My friends and I popped in after seeing the cute song name and the inside of the shop was just as cute, they have teas, milk teas, old or hot and even crepes and gelato! The owner was so sweet and even had us try some flavors of gelato because we were too full from dinner to order some! The teas were delicious and my friends bubble drink was amazing! It had baby boba! Omg so cute and delicious!!! They make everything fresh and in house, the gelato too!!! the sugar isn't artificial, so it's not overpowering! I can't wait to go back to try the crepes ! And the gelato will be my go to jam for summer!! This place is so cute and delicious and worth a visit or five!!
google avatar

Sina A.

Yelp
This is must stop in Chinatown mall! Clean, inviting and so friendly! The boba is so so yummy, so many flavors! But the best part are the people who work there, customer service was unmatched! They check in with you to make sure you are satisfied with their drink! Coming back for crepes! My new happy place :)

Yelp
Very welcoming people! Drinks and gelato were good and it's a good place to chill and talk. Would definitely come again!

Yelp
Great lil location. I found my new addiction. Wonderful customer service every time I stop by. Most definitely my new favorite spot.

Yelp
Stumbled across this lil spot while searching for ice cream. Took a look on Yelp, and decided to roll through - and man, we were not dissapointed! From the time we walked in, this place stood out and holds it's own with its cure and elegant decor, and friendly, smiling employees. On to the goods: We sampled a few before.deciding what kind of gelato to get, and ended up with fruit pebble, blood orange, butter pecan, and tres leeches They all were Sooooooo good!!! I even ordered an iced black tea with pineapple and watermelon, and it was awesomely refreshing. This spot is definitely our new go-to gelato spot whenever in Las Vegas! Come by and see and taste the goodness for yourself.

Yelp
Today my sister and I decided to try a new crepe place and The Sweet Spot was the closest to us in the Chinatown area. I was skeptical at first and was in the very right to be. First, the location of the shop is slightly hidden, making accessibility slightly difficult to find in the plaza. Second, walking into the shop made me feel cluttered and claustrophobic; it was rather a small shop. Third, there's a lot of things in the menu. And by a lot, I mean there's way too many items. They have a range from gelatos to elotes and crepes to chamango. We decided to create our own crepe. We stuck with a classic: strawberry and banana with Nutella. The wait was normal, but what wasn't normal was that our crepe was given to us with two pair of dirty utensils! Not just one, but two! It's just crazy to me that the employee, let alone someone who I presume to be the owner, does not check at the utensils before handing them to customers. They immediately handed us new utensils sets that were spotless. First impression of the crepe: it looks pleasing. Overall impression: crepe had a distinct taste within the batter that was different. It wasn't a bad different, but it made it stuck out a bit different than other crepes I've had. The crepe was either not cooked properly or the batter was not made properly. The crepe itself was soft and spongy, not dense and slightly golden brown. The service was exceptional though. I believed the female owner was genuinely trying to make sure we were happy with our crepe. Ultimately, this store was just convenient if you're in the area. It's not something that I would go out of my way to get to. I'd recommend it though if you're in the area and are looking for something sweet and dare I say mediocre. The pricing is slightly above average, but the food was barely average. Food: 6.5/10 Service: 8.5/10 Store: 5/10

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in the mood for Crepes and found this gem on Yelp. We drove from Henderson to come here and it was completely worth it! The staff was unbelievably friendly and knowledgeable about the products. All of the gelato is made in house and it taste amazing! I highly recommend the jasmine tea flavor, it was unique and delicious. The atmosphere is chill and hip. It was pleasant to eat inside. The only thing that would make it better is some cool music. Everything about this place is amazing and unique. We will be returning soon!

Yelp
Our regular spot is Kung Fu tea, but they always run out of taro flavor (2 nights in a row!) and that's our son's favorite, so we ventured out to the sweet spot and they didn't disappoint! They use fresh taro root which is absolutely delicious ordered 75% sweet for our son and he loved it. I ordered traditional milk tea with 75% sweetness and regular sized boba and loved it, bf and his friend both got Thai tea with regular boba, % sweetness and loved theirs too. Customer service was also top notch

Yelp
Searching for something sweet nearby, we were pleasantly surprised when we came across "the sweet spot" All gelato is homemade, and the crepe was delicious! Just a quick 5-10 min drive from the strip The owners are so sweet!! They even went out of their way to get us playing cards from next door
