A landmark on old Route 66 since the early 1900s, Sycamore Inn remains the Inland Empire’s special-occasion steakhouse—martinis, prime rib, Tiffany lamps, and all. Consistently busy and actively taking reservations, per OpenTable and recent diners.

I got married on my late brother’s first birthday in heaven… and this place was just really amazing and kind! We had dinner here with a party of 10 (including 2 little boys, 3 and 1 years old) after the wedding. The staff were considerate and the food was phenomenal, especially the steak, the jdori chicken, and the Brussels sprouts! They were so good with my kids! They even wished my brother happy birthday 🥹 gosh that was meaningful. Thank you for an amazing dinner to celebrate and mourn with my family in a beautiful and supportive setting.

First time visitors with friends. Nice place that's been around a long time and has an interesting history. Service great by our waiter John. Steak, Shrimp, Salmon orders were delicious and prepared to our liking.

First time here to celebrate several special occasions. Came in on a Saturday night at 5pm with a reservation and had no wait at all. Vanessa M was our server. I would be lying if I said that she was good, because honestly, she was the best. Every staff member we had the pleasure of being assisted by were all beyond helpful and kind. Even when my medium-MW done NY Strip came out well well done, they remade it to perfection, the manager came over to talk to us, offered 2 desserts, asked if he could get us anything else (we declined because we didn’t need anything else), and even when we thought that was beyond generous, they took off $30 off the steak. So when I saw exceptional service, I absolutely mean it. I tried to eat the well done steak with lemons and A1- which I normally eat steak alone because it should be flavorful with it’s own juices, since this was overcooked it needed backup 😆 but thankful they remade it for me! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and delicious. The bread and sundried tomato butter were so good!! The Caesar salad was probably one of the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot 😂😂 my husband loved the oysters and the sauces it came with. His blue cheese crusted NY Strip was cooked to perfect and enough for 2 servings. So flavorful!! The building itself is older, inside and out, but is nice. Just be sure to ask for a table not right outside the bathroom doors 😅 This was our first time but we will definitely be back!

Sycamore Inn – A Vintage Vibe with Delicious Bites Step into Sycamore Inn, and you’re instantly transported to a cozy, vintage hideaway. The mood here is set by the dim lighting and elegant Tiffany lamps, giving the space a nostalgic yet sophisticated charm that’s perfect for winding down after a long day. I came in for happy hour, and I’ve got to say, the steak salad was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and topped with just the right mix of fresh ingredients. But what truly stole the show were the oysters. They were buttery, delicate, and packed with freshness, making them an absolute must-try. The service here is also top-notch—attentive without being overbearing, which always makes for a more relaxing experience. If you're in the mood for great food, drinks, and a place with a laid-back yet moody atmosphere, Sycamore Inn is definitely worth a visit. Whether you’re here for happy hour or a casual evening out, it’s a spot that never disappoints.

This place is great. Not your typical steakhouse chain. The ambience and style is reflective of its history. The prime rib is delicious. I ordered it medium rare plus and it came out perfect. Not many places can do a good prime rib. The sides were yummy and didn't make it around the table a second time. Come here for a classic steakhouse vibe.

I had one of the most memorable (in the good way) experiences at this restaurant, and I have to say the majority of that was just the staff. I placed a reservation for our anniversary through opentable at the last minute after our plans had fallen through. We got lucky in that they were just opening and it was not a super busy time so we secured an immediate reservation. We both (the wife and myself) have always wanted to try this place. We would both see it as we grew up in the area, but never got a chance to go. I had done some amateur research into the Pomona valley history a decade or so back...including Billy rubottom and this very restaurant, so I was pretty excited on multiple levels. Steak plus nerdy historical facts? Yes please! We were seated at an intimate table and our server was just outstanding. I reached out to management to try and get their name and if so I will update it to give them their kudos. I feel I failed them by not remembering their names. Our server and wait staff kept our drinks full and our table kept from the moment we sat down. I relied on our server as a sommelier and cocktail guru, a beef sherpa, and as a welcome third member to our special evening. When my wife had asked for the seasonal cocktail offerings, he surprised her with a special drink that she loved. When we placed orders for our meals (my wife enjoyed the filet mignon while I hammered down on some tasty new york strip) he made recommendations for a pepper sauce for her and bleu cheese for mine...as if he knew our tastes. I even relied on him for the wine I would pair (my meal went excellent with their zinfandel). He did an excellent job at gauging our comfort level and style of conversation and matched seamlessly with our sensibilities. At the end of the meal, the staff surprised us with a slice of cheesecake and a candle...a beautiful and unexpected touch to the end of a wonderful meal and experience. It was something that touched me deeply and if I weren't so damned awkward I would have done something to let them know when I was there. Well...reviews are the next best thing I guess. I would highly recommend this place. We both plan on returning here (once my wallet recovers). I cannot thank the staff enough. While I recognize we got lucky with the timing and reservation, the evening had all of the ingredients to go off the rails and Sycamore Inn was there to guide things back not only onto the track, but it is now one of our best nights out.

I made a reservation for my husband’s 50th birthday. We checked in and had to wait a bit, there were groups that checked in after us and were seated.someone checked in and asked if we had been helped to which I said yes. As we waited in front of the check in Daniel, Fatima and another young lady were speaking about us. There were 2 empty tables that we could see so I asked if we could just sit and wait. They let me know that the section had just been sat with 2 large parties and they did not want to stress out the server. Mind you it’s holiday so it was busy.. They said I can find a space outside to wait, that is where I felt the level of service drop. I asked why we couldn’t just sit and wait versus stand and block the way. I decided to wait at the bar with my husband and daughter 2 feet away Daniel immediately said she can’t sit there she’s not 21 and in a condescending tone said we will seat you at the table. I said I understand there will be a wait and this was not the best start to my husband’s celebration, I asked his name he did not apologize nor acknowledge that we had been waiting. Fatima walked us to our table and I had to ask again why there was such an Issue if we were willing to wait. John saved the day as far as our server goes and honestly I felt like I had to explain to every server that we knew we had to wait and it’s ok if we are ignored while they prioritize the big parties around us. Overall just not the level of service I would expect here from the front of house.

Yelp
First time back here since I was a child. Beautifully decorated for the holidays and our server Alexie ( I believe that was her name) was so patient with our group and attentive to our needs. The food was spectacular. We shared the crab cakes and Oysters Rockefeller. I had the short rib that was served over mashed potatoes. So delicious! The rest of the group had steak, prime rib and lamb chops. We shared the signature dessert and we all left with happy bellies and wonderful memories. I highly recommend this place. Cozy atmosphere sitting in the lounge with a lovely fire in the fireplace.

Yelp
Several of us ate here on Thanksgiving Day 2025. They had a specific menu to choose from and it was great. Everything was fantastic. The food, the service. everything. My wife and I would come here more often but they open to late for us. We don't eat past 5 PM and anything after that is too late for us. Anyway, I recommend the sycamore Inn if you are the type of person that likes to eat late. I know they are under the same ownership as the Cask & Cleaver (also in Rancho Cucamonga) and we go there a lot because they are open for lunch during the week.

Yelp

Yelp
After being turned away from the Magic Lamp for not dressing up for Prom, my group of 5 hard-working, hungry adults and our 3 babies quickly pivoted across the street to the historic Sycamore Inn. It was an ideallyic summer evening... We were seated on the wide, welcoming patio and promptly handed our menus. The sun setting beautifully behind us with a cool breeze blowing in from the west. Unfortunately, shortly after the promptness disappeared and we experienced wide fluctuations in attention and timeliness. It was several moments before our drink and appetizer order was taken. Then, several more before our appetizers arrived and several more before our drinks arrived. And no bread was offered during any of this. I hate sounding like a whining, petulant child, but let me remind you this restaurant advertises itself as a Prime Steakhouse. You know, the way Fleming's, Ruth's Chris and Mastro's do. Unfortunately, tonight it felt more like Norm's. Too bad my wallet wasn't treated that way, somehow I was still billed at Prime Steakhouse prices. Go figure.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for one of our last date nights before our baby comes. We've been wanting to try this place because of the history and we love a steakhouse! For appetizers we did the jumbo artichoke and stuffed mushrooms, it was very filling. They also give you bread as you wish, also yummy! We both really really liked our cut of steak. They're seasoned and cooked very well. The quantity of asparagus was very generous. The Mac and cheese had a really delicious taste as well. My husband had an old fashioned and a glass of wine. He said they were both good! The service-- I was really impressed honestly. Our waters were always full, we were constantly checked on. There wasn't any rush, it was just right. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Service was awful! I am so disappointed after going to this place two weeks ago when I celebrated my birthday and spent over $1000 for $8 people. We had enjoyed it so much that I decided to go with my husband again for their happy hour. We were literally the first ones at the door and sat at the bar. Our intent was to enjoy happy hour for drinks and appetizers since we both came from work. Maybe we weren't dressed too formally? Maybe we looked like we didn't have money? Maybe it's the color of our skin? Nevertheless, it was definitely a place we would never go back to. The treatment was next to prejudice and sad to say, we could've spent another $1000 this time around had we been treated with respect and attention. Just to be clear; we were decently dressed, definitely can afford to eat at this place and highly educated. I understand that this place has been around for a very long time! Perhaps it's time to educate the staff to not judge a book by its cover!!!

Yelp
We came here last year for my daughter's birthday and she enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, so we came back again this year. ...last year, I felt like it was really crowded and we came on a Saturday evening around 6pm and we sat outside and our table was slanted. And It was so rushed and not relaxing at all. We got a charcuterie board that wasn't very good. The soup wasn't very good. The pasta wasn't very good. There was no parking. It was very hectic and overall the experience was not very good, but my daughter said the Chilean Sea Bass knocked her socks off so we came back again this year. Okay so this year 2025 June 8 on a Sunday at 7pm. wayyyyy better experience- we sat inside we had these big fluffy cushy chairs that made me feel important. The linens on the tables, every staff member we dealt with was superb. My daughter's petite filet mignon was delicious. My chicken was delicious. My husband's prime rib was delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy. (We didn't even get bread last time). I don't think we had so much attention. There was lots of parking. We did come at 7 PM so I don't know if that also played a part. We also ordered as an appetizer, the calamari. Everything was delicious. Five stars all the way, we will definitely come back !!! The birthday girl had the Seabass and she was once again pleased. Highly recommend this place and Thankyou Sycamore Inn for giving my family a nice dinner to remember!

Yelp
The booking manager was very polite, but the staff inside was not very organized. They kept telling us our table wasn't ready when part of our group was already seated for 15 minutes. When we asked for coffee, they didn't want to make anything other than regular/decaf sounds like out of laziness. Some waiters were nicer than others for sure. Additionally for being a steakhouse, it was odd they did not ask how we wanted our steak cooked. Great name given the trees outside and old classic style feel. Inside is dim light and was busy making it seem like a great venue. They have private rooms as well. It has a nice homey feel to it. Bread: came out very hot and was very impressive Salad: standard, enjoyable, nothing crazy Prime rib: enjoyable, supposedly their specialty, felt much better than filet mignon Filet mignon: felt slightly overcooked and the sauce wasn't my favorite Death by chocolate: flourless cake that was very dense and tasty Almond cake: overly sweet and taken out of the freezer where there were still icicles, not the best In terms of a steakhouse from the miscommunications thought service could be better. Overall would recommend coming for the prime rib and specifying how you'd want things cooked. Some food items are good some are only okay. It's decent but wouldn't be my first go to steakhouse. Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Yelp
What a great place to go for a happy hour. They do happy hour daily from 4:30 to 8 PM. They have an outside dining area or inside dining area and also downstairs area. The menu is packed with a huge selection from seafood to steaks to pastas drinks, appetizers, desserts They've got a little bit of everything this place looks like it's been here for a really long time Old vintage feel and look upscale on the inside. The bartenders are very good at what they do making special unique drinks. The servers are very fast, courteous and helpful all around. It's a fun eating experience great place to go with a larger group as well. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I was greeted and sat immediately. I loved the old world steakhouse ambience. My server was a bit different, very hyper and spent a lot of time on one table, in fact he had a glass of wine with them. I found it a bit unusual for an establishment of this caliber. I had the short ribs served mashed potatoes and vegetables. This dish was excellent. I found out later it was some of my friend's favorite dish there. I highly suggest it.

Yelp
It's been a while and for the longest time, Sycamore Inn was a destination eatery. Any special occasion warranted a visit. I loved the Prime Rib and the wife loved the Ribeye. My son enjoyed the calamari and the Filet Mignon. We all loved the Soufflé, both the chocolate and the grand marnier one. Absolutely loved this place. The last few visits have been beyond disappointing. Given overcooked prime rib. Burnt soufflé. Sad service. Specifically on my birthday, when we pointed out how badly the soufflé's were burnt, the serving staff pointed to the areas that weren't and we could eat around the bad parts. Seriously? I kept coming back multiple times to give them another chance, but it's just not the same. I really hope they turn it around, but the quality is just not there anymore.

Yelp
Parking: Plenty available Ambience: Lovely, old-fashioned and cozy vibes that remind you of a secluded but fancy cabin. Dim lighting coupled with dark maroon leather couches, warm tones, and a central fireplace. Great place for date night or even for business meetings as they have private rooms available. Service: Friendly, no complaints! Taste: The jumbo artichoke and mac & cheese were nice. I forgot if we ordered the ribeye or the NY strip, but I've been here another time to try the filet mignon, and I unfortunately can't say I enjoyed any of the steaks. They were all on the drier side, either didn't have much flavor or flavor was kind of meh, and the paired sauce wasn't very appetizing. Given the prices of everything, I wouldn't necessarily come back for the appetizers / entrees. Its redeeming dish is its desserts--the chocolate souffle and toasted almond cake are absolutely heavenly and worth every penny!

Yelp
So disappointed in Sycamore Inn. They haven't been answering their phones. It's become very difficult to make a reservation, which they request. (It used to be "first come, first served" in the bar area, but since the pandemic they have made you have reservations in the bar area, which is the only area of the restaurant that we like.) I made a reservation through OpenTable on their website 5 days ago requesting a booth in bar area. They had confirmed my reservation by text and email. Then they call me an hour and 15 minutes before the reservation (when I'm already on my way to pick up my parents to take them to the restaurant) saying they can't seat us anywhere in the bar area. They confirm twice, then can't honor it an hour before dinner?! Are they trying to force people into the rooms they want? Are they just poorly managed that they don't check their reservation confirmations until the day of, when they were made 5 days ago and autoconfimed? Are they so busy that they don't care about how they treat customers? I don't know what you have to do to get a seat in the bar area. Despite their servers always being fantastic, their management and hosts have been subpar. This is around the 4th time we've had issues with the hosts, reservations, and seating. It's feeling self-abusive to try to go there anymore, despite how much I have loved this kitschy classic joint over the many years. I feel like I'm losing a long-time friend. It's so sad.

Yelp
12/12/25 Over priced & under staffed! When paying these prices, I expect the service to reflect that! This was a Birthday Dinner gone bad! We have been to this restaurant during same time last year, as well as New year's Eve & truly enjoyed the experience. But, we will NOT be back! When the Mgr. (David) inquired about our experience, he apologized & suggested they might offer to comp us a drink or dessert our next visit. Really? There won't be a next visit! What a disappointment! Perhaps you should cater only to large parties this time of year, who are drinking and having fun, rather than booking couples & very small groups. Our reservation was 6:45 pm & we waited a few minutes (maybe 15 at the most) before seating. We were offered a cocktail some minutes after being seated, but were not even asked if we would like a "starter/appetizer," before ordering dinner. We finally were served dinner at 8:15 pm & side dish plates were so hot, we could not pass them!

Yelp
Every so often, my friends and I get that red booth itch and have to make our way to Sycamore Inn. For this occasion, we came to celebrate a friend's birthday. We know it will always be relaxing, we'll enjoy great service, and the food will be delicious. A rich and delicious celebratory cheesecake was brought to the table and good natured guests sang happy birthday. What a wonderful place to celebrate!

Yelp
This was the first time going to Sycamore Inn with my husband and his first time ever. We came in for Happy Hour and just wanted some appetizers and drinks. The restaurant is super cute but we chose to sit on the patio where the heaters were on and we could have a nice conversation since the bar was packed. I am usually freezing and Garett was nice enough to turn the heater up to make sure we were comfortable without us even asking! Let's talk food which is why you're here. Like Blue Cheese?! Get the mushrooms! My GOODNESS! They were so good and so stuffed! The crab cakes were also ultra delicious and the hubby said they were the best he's ever had. The cheese plate was just okay. I thought they could incorporate more unique cheeses. I can say that the Espresso Martini was the best I've ever had and the Chai White Russian was such an amazing combination! Service was good! Garret who I'm not sure was our server was super attentive. The hubby wants to go for the full dinner experience next time.

Yelp
What a good steakhouse. My prime rib was perfectly medium rare and a huge portion. One of the things I love about a good prime rib is that each bite just melts like whip cream in your mouth. The potatoes au gratin was a delight too. I mean--for me that's the standard side with any huge beef meal. I just find it pairs perfectly. I also had a bite or three of the lobster tail on offer and that will definitely by an option for the next visit. I love the service. Raul our service pretty much kicked ass on every request, anticipating every question and concern. He even had time to tell stories and share pictures like a long-lost uncle. The night ended great, the food was great, and I now have a great opinion of this place.

Yelp
Wife's favorite place to go for prime rib steak, we made it a once a year tradition now for the last 5+ years. Rockefeller Oysters are good, drinks are strong! We always come out of there with a belly ache and a doggy bag.

Yelp
What I had: - Braised boneless short rib ($46) - Blueberry safe old-fashioned (forgot the price) - Smore' old-fashioned (forgot price) How it tasted: - Wonderful dish with a delicious paired drink. Why did I give it a four? - The server who assisted us was splendid and promptly delivered everything within a timely manner. Overall a great experience despite reviews saying otherwise. Cool location that may need a revamp, but the old-school vibe is enjoyable. Verdict? - Unique place that I'd recommend trying at least once.

Yelp
First time at the Sycamore Inn!! Lived in RC for 10 years and have always wanted to come here. Atmosphere was great. Service was fantastic (thank you Ryan) and the food was exquisite. David took the time out to tell us about the history of this fine establishment. The busboy was handsome and didn't mind us older woman flirting with him after a few drinks. It is a little pricey but honestly was worth it and hope to come back soon. Son and I shared a ribeye with the mac & cheese and asparagus and we still had left overs to take home. Even the complimentary bread & butter was out of this world! Absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you!!

Yelp
Ambiance was great. Food was average to below average, dirty dishes, service completely unacceptable. Has been a long steady decline the last 10 years or so.

Yelp
The food is outstanding here. Beautifully decorated with a mid-20th Century motif. The service was incredible. The staff are clearly will trained and take pride in what they do.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and incredibly disappointed to learn today they devalued their Prime Time Happy Hour. Appetizers are no longer part of it, and I will be coming a lot less now. I used to love to get an appetizer or two and a drink. No more. Greed wins again.

Yelp
The food was... Between OK and good. The prime rib and fillet were cooked as ordered. The au gratin potatoes did not taste cheesy but they were creamy. The asparagus, kind of bland. The service, OK... Can't really say excellent. Ambience was nice, a little dark, but I guess that would be romantic. Overall, probably not gonna go back way too expensive.

Yelp
Love coming here Their happy hour , omg perfect ... Drinks are always on point and can't complain about how yummy they are ... The bread is always made hot The blue cheese mushrooms to die for .. I love the roasted garlic , definitely a must get The waitresses and waiters are some of the best ever ... super great service and just always attentive ... The restaurant feels like I have walked in to the past in which I just love ... such a old feel but very regal

Yelp
We came down with a bad case of food poisoning and we are certain it was the Cajun shrimp from here.

Yelp
Very nice time here for a company Christmas party. We were only upstairs in one of the banquet rooms. Food was fine and the decor appropriate for Christmas. Hope to try the downstairs restaurant in the future

Yelp
Started the night off with a cocktail from the bar. They make a proper dirty martini and a respectable happy hour price, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the peppercorn New York steak and my wife had the sea bass. My steak was over cooked, ordered medium rare, definitely on the medium side. Thought about sending back but I just ate it. The peppercorn was a little bit too heavy for me, but the sauce was really nice. You can order the sauce without the pepper crust which is what I would recommend and would do if I went back. Although my steak was over cooked, it was a nice piece of meat and I should have sent it back and cooked as ordered. My wife had the sea bass. Was a nice piece of fish with a delicious light cream sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked but was Luke warm at best. My wife debated sending it back due to the temperature but she did not. Also had a salad and baked potato. The salad was good a little in the small side and the baked potato was good. They give you some kinda cheese butter with the bread and that was so good they could sell as an appetizer. Overall was still a good dinner. The service was very good from the bar to our waiter. I am sure they would have fixed our main dishes if we had asked but the service was so good I gave it 4 stars. I like the bar area, and patio's ambiance more than the main dining room but it does have a cool old time feel. I would say the fact that the main dishes had issues I am not sure if I would go back again and opt for a different steak house.

Yelp
First, I wanted to say the service we got from Vanessa was pretty great. She was really sweet and attentive. The reason why I'm giving this place two stars is because of the food and the Manager Dave. We ordered some calamari and the artichoke. The artichoke was old and tough. Now granted I get they're not in season, but they were really plain and just didn't have flavor. The calamari was OK, but it was weird that they didn't pay more attention to the presentation and had served it with the old french fries that were in the fryer basket apparently. Now here's where the problem came, my partner ordered the mahi-mahi and he said it tasted like it was frozen. I took a bite, and the texture was awful. The mashed potatoes had absolutely no seasoning, it was like they were cooked without any salt. And the same with the au gratin potatoes. All you could taste was butter and cream, but it doesn't help if there's no salt. You have to have salt for flavor. I very kindly asked if I could speak to the manager because I was disappointed with the food. Now Dave came over to our table and instead of apologizing and being kind about the situation, he was rude and talked to me like he was trying to make me feel stupid. He kept asking if our server had checked on us and I said yes, I wanted him to know it wasn't her fault but just the taste and flavor of the food. I just mentioned I wanted him to know so he could let the Chef know and instead of kindly accepting the criticism of the food, he made a point to let me know "well, the chef isn't here". Dave's demeanor, and the way he speaks to people was really upsetting and he ruined the rest of our night, especially since I was celebrating a huge accomplishment in my professional life yesterday. Now I'm thankful he took $20 off the bill, but that wasn't the point, we just wanted him to know that the food was not up to par. I'm highly disappointed with what happened and we will not be coming back. Someone needs to talk to the chef about salt and flavoring and Dave really needs a lesson in how to treat people.

Yelp
We finally made it to the Sycamore Inn. We went in for the happy hour specials. Got a martini and an old-fashioned. Then we browse the menu and found a few good things. We tried the salmon and the fillet. We split a Caesar salad that was decent. The salmon was excellent. The fillet was excellent. Properly cooked. The service was just OK and could've been better. Our server was really busy. It seemed like they were short staffed. The inside was really neat with all the old pictures of celebrities who had visited this restaurant over the years. The bar was right out of the past and I would enjoy having a drink there anytime All in all if you're looking for a really interesting place with great food, you have to try this place The Sycamore Inn is OK

Yelp
High-quality vintage style. Outstanding food. i've always loved coming to this place because of the history of the restaurant, the food and the quality service.

Yelp
Arrived at our appointment time. Was seated right away and was introduced to our waiter and her helper. Ordered some wine and decided on our dinner choices. We ordered the short rib dinner (absolutely delicious) and the steak Diane (very good). Also order a side of mashed potatoes. That it was just for me, but it was a big plate full. All the food was very plentiful. Even though the dinning area was very full, the noise level did nit seem to be very loud. The service was on point and fantastic. The only issue we had was that the water seemed to taste a little cloranated.

Yelp
Sycamore Inn has a rich history dating back to the 1800s. Marilyn Monroe is said to have dined there weeks before she died. While I didn't dine at the restaurant this time, the bar area seemed like a great place to hang out with the local regulars and friendly bartenders. They have a daily happy hour starting at 4:30 pm. Expect to pay $10 or so for a cocktail for the "prime time deal." They have some discounted items on food, but it seems the pro-move would be going with a steak or prime rib considering it is a steakhouse. I ordered the prime rib sandwich au jus. I am a fan of French dip sandwich and if you are too, order this sandwich. At $20, it's not a cheap sandwich, but the higher quality was evident compared to Phillipe's in Downtown LA. The minestrone soup has been on the menu for decades with the recipe from one of the original chefs, so that might be another option on the menu for something lighter. They also have a French onion soup, if that is more your thing. The Sycamore Inn is an awesome place to stop by if passing Rancho Cucamonga for cocktails and bite at one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles County. It's also an opportunity to chat with friendly locals. The service from the team was warm, attentive, and friendly. Not at all stuffy or pretentious. Come as you are.

Yelp
Stopped in for a lite dinner, ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, it was delicious and then a bowl of French onion soup for my daughter and a bowl of minestrone soup for myself ... it was not the delicious soup I remember it appears they have changed the recipe, but it was not to my liking ... the sourdough rolls were delicious served warm, and the cocktails were very well prepared and served.

Yelp
The world famous Sycamore Inn Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga California is terrific and still serving freshly made to order lunch and dinner-since 1896! We came by for lunch and got an extra bonus-The Route 66 Custom Car Show! The service was great, our herb roasted chicken and Sycamore salad-perfect! We had a great experience at The Sycamore Inn Restaurant! . . . . #sycamoreinn #route66 #carshows #herbroastedchicken ##ranchocucamonga #seetheusa #greatfood

Yelp
Went with my husband for our 41st anniversary for dinner. This was our first visit and thought it would be special. The food was ok and the service was horrible. The waiter Ed never came back to see if we needed anything after he brought our food out. He ignored us the whole time we were there. He spoke to everyone else around us and simply ignored us. My prime rib was over cooked. It was very dark in the dining room and looked dirty. I do no recommend this place. It is also expensive and I expected better service and quality food for the price on our special day. I asked the waiter to take a picture of us at our table and he "pretended" to take a picture but did not. He left right away and did not come back. I called the manager to voice my concerns and he did not care either. Horrible place! Will never visit again.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at Sycamore Inn, our server and his partner were both very nice and attentive, the food was hit and miss. The food was served extremely slow, but it was to be exacted during the holiday season. My major disappointment was that they did not make the soufflé during the month of December because they are too busy in the kitchen and the soufflé takes forever to bake. We ordered the French Onion soup, its one of my favorites and it was delicious. The filet mignon was a little dry but the prime rib was just right! The meat was tender and tasted amazing. The mashed potatoes were good and the creamed corn was really good. We ended the night with the Sycamore Special to share, and you can never go wrong with ice cream. Over all a great dinner and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was prompt for a busy weekend evening. The bar menu had a good selection of items and the drinks we ordered were great. The formal dining room was well set for the atmosphere, and the menu offerings had a good variety. The formal dinner service was friendly, prompt, and the meal they brought us was warm, delicious, and was served in generous portions. We will be back when time and our finances permit!

Yelp
After questionable customer service on previous visits, I decided to give Sycamore Inn another try ...because they are one of the only local restaurants to serve Oysters Rockefeller. Poor decision. Nonexistent customer service at the bar. Now, mind you, this was not my first visit, nor my first poor experience. I have dined in the restaurant and the service is exemplary, but that does not feed over to the lounge. I wish I could say this was a one off, but sadly, it has happened multiple times.

Yelp
I have multiple quibbles with my experience at the Sycamore Inn. For starters, getting service after the food is served for refills is neigh impossible; we waited ~20 minutes to get refills on our drinks. Second, the steaks were disappointing, particularly the ribeye. We had ordered a pair of these steaks, but one of the steaks consisted more of fat than actual meat. For a place charging over $60 per steak, this seems insane. When we asked for refills, the waiter tried to hustle us (despite being halfway through the meal) by asking us if we'd like to package up our dinners. I'm actually writing this review as I sit in the restaurant now, and we are still awaiting the delivery of our refills. Will they arrive? Probably not. Once we get the check (and who knows how long that'll be), we will be leaving with no intention of returning. Update: They finally brought refills... with the wrong drinks. Food was ice cold by then. Awaiting the check, but that hasn't arrived, either.

Yelp
Best food I have ever had in the Inland Empire! The Prime Rib makes me want to smack my momma...sorry mom!?!? The service staff and environment is also excellent. I love the history and reminds us Californians how we should cherish things that are older than 50 years ago and know that there is still a rich history to our little area here in the I.E.! I can't wait to go back and have another meal!
