Amazing taco place. We’ve been here about 10 times now and have never had anything less than amazing. Food made right with reasonable prices, very hard to find these days.

Me and Britteny stopped by the taco stand for the first time. It's only a half a mile from our house. The food was excellent, the service was great. We will be back.

I called in an order for 3 chicken tacos with one flour & two corn tortillas. The tortillas were perfectly flash grilled for a crispy edge but soft centers, the chicken was tender and well seasoned, and the avocado was perfectly ripe. The food was ready in minutes, checkout was super fast and courteous, we couldn’t be happier. Will tip them next time for job well done.

They’re amazing! Great flavor! Great prices! Queso is delicious! All around good quality food and service. They’re super attentive and gets your order right every time. Even ordering through DoorDash the food is always hot and fresh, delicious food.

If you want really good street tacos, I'd highly recommend this place! Good prices, quick service, and the tacos were done in less than 10 mins. Also really good fresh chaos and salsa.

The food was fantastic. No frills, just quality street tacos(amongst other options that surely are also bomb) and some very good sauces to accompany. Tried three tacos: Al Pastor, pollo, and chorizo/steak. All were fantastic and held together perfecting by the slightly toasted corn tortillas. Rice and beans were on point - two thumbs up on the rice as it was not dry nor bland like many other places. I would definitely recommend this place if in the area and in the mood for tacos.

Have been going to Taco stand since 2017 when we would go to the Allen Park location. Now we have the garden city location by our home. I got the Asada nachos, this is a size small, and I was full! The queso is great tasting. The chips were still crunchy. The beef was good. I will be going back! I also recommend the Chicken Quesadilla and any of their tacos!

a nondescript building on the side of a busy street, but the taco stand seems to be pretty popular with dine-in locals and takeout orders. there's six tables and bar stool seating inside. order at the counter and your food is brought to you. prices are very reasonable. // asada quesadilla ($3.25) // small, a little larger than a taco. flour tortilla comes with cheese, meat, and picco on the side. a bit light on the cheese but there was a good portion of meat inside which i appreciated. // california burrito ($9.50) // average sized burrito. good portion of meat. comes with fries inside, (scarce portion of) chips on the side with green sauce (preferred to the red sauce) overall, tasted good for the price. good for a quick meal if you're in the area.

Wow, sorry I waited so long to try this place. It was really good. I got 2,quesadillas with chicken and some chips and guacamole. Didn't mean to eat all the guacamole at once but it was so good! My son got carne asada fries and those were huge! No photos, we were too hungry. Give it a try, it's yummy!

Personally, this was a very average Mexican restaurant. Even down to the restaurant decor and parking lot. Parking is a little tight for 2 way traffic (trucks beware). However, it is big enough for the restaurants needs. I had stopped in for a quick lunch. The Al pastor taco stand burrito was just... Average. Meat was a little fattier than most other places. Overall burrito was a decent size. I had only half for lunch just as the more bland flavor did not make me hungry enough to eat the other half of the burrito. Overall it is okay given the cheaper price. Also, keep in mind that the restaurant does not hand out tap water. Only purchased bottled water, soda, etc.

First timer - someone wanted tacos but I didn't want "fast food"; so here I am. When I entered - The place was very clean with limited tables but of course they're still a pandemic going on so that's understandable. Placed order online and went there to pick up - when I arrived the food wasn't ready but I did that on purpose so it wouldn't be sitting. The food was okay but nothing that you would be impressed for with the price that you pay. Maybe I need to try a few more options; would I come back sure but instead of getting a whole ones we will just split something and hope for the best. Happy Eating!!!

I'm such a picky eater, and I love their food. I'll always go to the taco. Stand over any other fast food place there is.

you can't beat $2 tacos!! I ordered it to-go & my order was ready within 10 mins! The store itself is clean but doesn't seat too many people. Perfect place to grab a quick lunch!

So at first I'd give it five stars and will still give the food like 3.5-4 stars but the service has gone so down hill at this location in the passed month or so that I will no longer be returning they have hired some new order takers/ cashiers that will confirm what you'd like over the phone and still write down the wrong order and forget but it's some how my fault that they didn't get it one of the three time so said it (even though they made it seem like they understood over the phone.) they have messed my order up the last three times I've gone to this one this time not only did it get messed up I got charged more than I should've have for what I ordered as well as had to wait longer for it.....The time before that the guy up front argued with me in front of other customers and was pretty disrespectful when I didn't let him up-charge me for no reason/ something I had never been up-charged for before. Food still good enough to go to just if you're going to call in your order make them read back what' they have written down

The food is alright and the portions are good, my gripe is that they only give you 1 small container of pico and salsa. I ordered 3 quesadillas, they gave me 1 pico and some green salsa for 3 quesadillas. Idk maybe the food is better when you have enough pico and salsa.

Don't be fooled by this tiny taco shop, the flavor is out of this world! I had the chicken quesadilla, steak quesadilla, and the carne asada fries. The quesadillas here are not your typical quesadillas. The quesadillas here are smaller tortillas and the meat is not completely melted into the cheese as much because the meat is overloaded so quite a bit falls out. The cheese is gooey, melty, greasy, and everything that is good in this world. I swear the cheese just makes the quesadilla better, the next time I go back I might just get a cheese quesadilla. I usually get 2 quesadillas and I'm full! One is not nearly enough. Carne asada fries here are also amazing! I know it sounds weird to get fries at a Mexican place, yes, but I swear you need to try this. The small portion is enough, it's huge! The steak and veggies compliment each other so well and I don't even like sour cream, but the chipotle sour cream is seriously amazing. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It's the most amazing food!

The customer service here is horrible. When you alert management nothing changes. the AlLen location set the bar high but the Garden City restaurant is horrible. The staff gets smart with and the last 2 times I have had the food my order has been incorrect. The Garden City Taco stand is ruining the brand one bad order at a time. Don't waste your time or money there. The staff doesn't appreciate your service anyway!

WTF!! This is delicious!! The beans, whole and full of flavor. Rice moist and delicious. The tacos are awesome. I'm pissed I don't have enough room in my stomach to eat more. I was trying to go to the big Mexican restaurant down the street but they were too busy. Won't be long before this place is off the map too. These carne Asada fries, like for real! Over the top. My new spot. Has several options on simple menu. Again welcome to flavor town. I damn near we back there to see if somebody old great grandmother was cooking. Nice job!!

Everything I've had here has been really good! The street burritos are mine and my wife's favorite. The only complaint is the chips are unsalted and have absolutely no Flavor.

Food is good but service is awful. They need to pay attention and hand orders to customers, not set them on a shelf behind the counter and walk away.

Food is amazing. Service is fast. In and out. Not much ambiance. However it's carryout. Not really ment for dining in. Again great place. Food is always made really fast. It's a little hard to see when driving down Ford. Look for Renes flowers they share the parking lot.

Food is amazing but the attitudes of the young lady with glasses taking orders was terrible and unintentionally racist. I informed the manager but he said I wanted something for free after I already paid for my meal

It might not look like much, but this place is fabulous! The food is flavorful, generous, and downright delicious! I absolutely love the corn tacos al pastor! I tried a quesadilla today and it is quite possibly the best quesadilla I've ever had. It's very comparable to what I have when I'm in Mexico for work. The guacamole is always fresh and tasty as well.

Delicious food, reasonably priced. Can't speak to the ambiance as we always get food to-go, but it seems clean and well kept. Always friendly staff. My favorite is the Al pastor quesadilla.

Pro tip from a regular: If you call to order you can save a dollar on a taco, use the phone don't order off delivery apps(they take money from the business this way) onto review: Best tacos in the area in my opinion. The meat is never tough or old the sauces are good it's a great price, and They don't use a lot of Styrofoam. For the order in my picture below, it took ten minutes, very speedy. Around 1pm on a Saturday. Their burritos are really good too. It's a wonderfully unpretentious, garden city staple.

Please go here it's fantastic, great tacos and burritos A+. However don't leave tips on credit cards, don't even leave a tip if you don't have cash. I have zero tolerance for restaurant owners who don't give or even split tips with the staff. No excuse for that it's 2023 and as a business owner myself this is preposterous behavior bordering on criminal enterprise. 3 stars because the ownership is so shady with their merchant processing..

They are a great concept but someone who isn't very smart made the decision to ration salsa as if it's gold lol. Too strict! Not gonna return as often as a result.

Eye have had MANY Street TACOS from Street Carts to Food spots! 'Esta` Machin!' IF you haven't had'em. Try'em! Its an Intimate bite between your fingers and taste buds! "Food Revolution with Flavour Bombs!" With eh zipp of gotcha; salsa and brazing with fresh lime!! Don't want to give all dah 'bragging rights' to my new find here. Also, ordered their Cali'Fornia Bur'Rito. Stuffed with ground chick! Cilantro, Matos and Fries. Came with Chips too! Woah! Lotta Food...Perfectly Seasoned and Wrapped in this Tortilla. For eh One~Hand wonder. But I enjoyed mines with a fork! Hey, it was just as Gud! Thanks to the dasher and the Stand will order again. Want to check for the veg'taco "called" Poblano Chiles or close to it. That comes drenched in Chez....maybe, just maybe.

There aren't many places to grab a good street taco without going all the way downtown southwest so I was supper excited for this little spot to open up. They have great food for reasonable prices and also have quick service! I would almost consider it fast food if the food wasn't so good! Way better quality food and faster service than you would get at a Taco Bell! Definitely worth stopping in to grab a quick bite!

After hearing all of the hype about this place, we knew we had to stop in. I ordered three corn tortilla tacos and chose the steak, pork & then a chicken for variety. And of course I added cheese because when is cheese ever a bad idea? The steak & chicken tacos were both pretty solid, but the pork was lacking in flavor. It was a bit bland, but nothing a little salsa and lime couldn't fix. My husband and I got the carne asada fries to share and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about them other than the fries themselves. The steak, the cheese, the pica de Gallo.. all had amazing flavor but the fries themselves just tasted like a potato - needed salt & they were a bit cold in the middle.

Well, we wanted to try something new & this was our decision. The food was just ok although the portions were huge! If you're hungry & you like mediocre, this is the spot. It was fresh, just not overly flavorful and our order was partially incorrect. We ordered two small carne asada fries (HUGE!! ONE would have been sufficient), 3 flour tacos (one chicken, two pork) but we got corn, the pork was the best tasting thing we had IMO. Also ordered 2 quesadilla, one steak, one chorizo. Unimpressed with it overall, but it wasn't BAD- just not GREAT. Also had chips with salsa, chips were ok. Curiosity quenched, won't be rushing back.

Very good tacos and authentic Mexican food. Fries with carne asada was very tasty. The restaurant could use some better housekeeping. Overall, this place rocks with a carry out that is non-ending. Definitely-go there! The only blemish is that the place could use nicer floors and clean windows. Food is five star.

I am originally from Los Angeles, CA and have been looking high and low for a good authentic "street taco" place in Michigan for about 4 years. Then came across The Taco Stand from a strong recommendation. I must say that the recommendation was solid! This place is a A+ in my books and is equal to some street taco joints all over California and maybe even better than some. The carne asada tacos were on point keeping it simple with cilantro, onions, and lime, green or red salsa to add if you wish on the side. Honestly, how it should be I think too many places in Michigan that I visited go over the top with their vision of what a "street taco" should be which is fine, but sometimes it's best to use the the acronym KISS and keep it simple stupid. If you haven't tried The Taco Stand just give it a try and I don't think you would be disappointed.

Ordered through DoorDash late evening. Food was ready in 10 minutes. The Pollo asada fries are filling and delicious. Will order again.

Their tacos are so authentic and delicious! The steak and carnitas are my fav with the traditional chopped pineapple, yum! They have these loaded fries that are huge! All the toppings you could want. My only complaint is the hard tendons within the meat that I get in the loaded bowls including the taco bowl and the loaded fries, very big turn off having to spit that out during my meal. They make a delicious red and green salsa to top everything off with, def wanna have some again soon!!

I love their carne asada fries... only negative I have about them is sometimes the fries have a lot of black parts to them () I usually cut those parts of potatoes. But other than that I have nothing negative to say! They are delicious and a good portion for you money! I also love their tacos and rice!

Love this place. The carne asada fries are OFF THE CHAIN. $6 for a small and it's almost more than I can finish in one sitting. This place is great. Perfect lunch spot for carry out.

The closest to authentic Mexican I have been able to find outside of Mexican Town. I grew up in California and the Mexican food there is next best to actually being in Mexico. The beans are not what you think, they are just soupy whole pinto beans. Not refried. But my husband and I both got the Taco Stand burrito and it did not disappoint!!! The carne asada fries were amazing and the chip and salsa did not disappoint. The rice was soooo close, until I found the corn and peas and carrots in it, lol!! The flavor was great, good consistency- but if you know authentic Mexican food- you know the rice shouldn't include any of that, haha! They did have Jaritos and bottle coke so that was a nice touch. I also wish they had given The choice to have chipotle sour cream or regular. Overall a good eat, and we will definitely be back.

We do both carry out and DoorDash from here on the regular and it's always delicious. The only California Burrito in Michigan I would let a Californian eat.

Finally tried this place out for the first time. The carne asada fries were delicious! I also got the chicken taco bowl which was also really good. I will definitely be back!

Pretty good tacos..im pretty greedy so I ordered one of each taco with asada fries, chips, salsa and guacamole.... all the tacos were good very nice flavors, fries were also good but i only got to nibble since I ate 5 tacos... chips, salsa and guac was also good. Staff was very friendly and it was my first time here. My only compliant is they didn't have jalapeno at the time of my order... other than that.. every thing was great

The food is authentic Mexican and it's fresh. It tastes amazing! If are tried of Taco Bell then try this new spot you will not be disappointed. One last thing every thing is seasoned very well.

First time eating here and I will definitely be eating here again. The burritos are perfect size. The only downside was I would of liked more chips. So definitely try this place.

I love this place! They are legit street tacos, don't expect the full Mexican restaurant experience. The food here is comparable to the best Mexican street food I've had in LA & Chicago. Sure the chickens a little dry but thats all taken care of with the delicious green guac salsa(ask for an extra). You can't go wrong, for lunch or dinner this place rocks!

My long search for excellent authentic cheap Mexican food locally is over. I ordered the tacos and some asada fries and they were both fantastic. The small fries were huge abs meal in itself. There was more steak than fries which was a pleasant surprise. This restaurant has a great business model with great food for a good price. The other reviews sum up the quality and details of the food and I concur with their reviews!

My dad has ordered from here on more than one occasion and I figured I needed to see what all the hype was about--Holy s**t. This has got to be some of the best mexican food I've ever had. I whole-heartedly recommend the carne asada fries. My boyfriend had the taco stand burrito with chicken and he's hooked. We've decided to make this place a 'regular'. Service is also top-notch. Very pleased overall.

Food is well-prepared, flavorful and quick. Limited choices is a good thing in this case. All major credit cards accepted. Definitely a return customer.
