The Taco Stand

Edit: So much better this time!! Got 2 bowls with carne asada and both had guac how they’re supposed to, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. Also got the monthly special, the pink taco, phenomenal taco. Probably in my top 3 favorites of the specials they have had. (The machete and the nachos need being #1 and #2-bring them back!!) 😋 Food taste great as always, just a little disappointed that the “guacamole” in my bowl was a chunk of avocado and not guacamole at all..

We’ve been here a couple of times before and we’ve been happy with the food. The variety is great and everything has been served fresh and has been really good. Tonight though we were disappointed with our order. We ordered online and brought it home. My husband ordered a regular burrito without onions and it was full of onions mixed in with his food. I ordered the supreme burrito and it was so greasy it ended up falling apart. I tried to take off as much of the grease as possible with napkins but it kept coming out of the bottom. We didn’t finish them and we were disappointed. The bowls we ordered were enjoyed by other family members so it was a hit or miss for us tonight.

Food was just not good enough for me. It was ok but not good enough. Also I asked if the aguas frescas were natural they said yes and they sure didn't taste like it they tasted like powder mix super sweet. Salsas are really good. And the worst is the price $42 dollars for two people for a burrito and 4 tacos and two fake agua frescas is insane and you dont even get served. And forgot to mention chips and cheese was an extra 6 bucks so total almost 50 dollars for 2 nope never coming back.

The food was tasty and the service was generally good, but they got two elements of my order wrong after specifically discussing them. I ordered grilled fish tacos with no pico and no cilantro. She asked if cabbage was okay and I said yes. I got fried fish with cilantro in the cabbage. The quesadillas my wife and daughter had were great. The arbor salsa was spicy and tasty. The horchata was really good. It was a little pricey, though.

We had the burrito 🌯 with beef and added cheese. Also had to draft beers. The burrito taste great and they have many flavors of salsa. All of the salsa's were very good. Hard to pick just one. The prices of the burrito wasn't bad at all. The dtaft beer on the other hand is pricey. Small glass for $6.99. Besides that it is a good place to eat. Weird kinda way you order outside like a taco truck. The place isn't anything fancy but it's clean. Ill be back for sure.

We went through the drive-thru yesterday and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. We waited in line for 20 minutes, only to receive a completely wrong order. It honestly felt like they just threw random food into bags without paying attention to what I had placed. What makes this worse is that this isn’t the first time—it constantly happens to us, and we’ve never complained until now. When we called to let them know, it felt like there was no real effort to improve. I highly recommend checking your food before driving off, because chances are it won’t be right. The lack of care and attention to detail is really frustrating. I will attach a picture of my order, I received the chips and queso but everything else was completely wrong.

I have noticed a great decrease in customer service and engagement at many of the restaurants that I visit. However, this location has remained consistent in valuing their customers and making it a goal to keep customers returning by going out of their way to enhance every customer’s experience! “IVAN” this location’s manager exemplifies every description of being a great leader and customer service agent! I had a problem with my order that created a disconnect between the drive - through cashier and I. IVAN observed the situation, and IMMEDIATELY intervened and resolved the issue with a smile, great skill, and with effective communication in a timely manner to prevent other customers from waiting. Ivan’s communication, attitude, and assistance was very impressive and should.be observed by other managers and service workers. The great food and his hospitality is part of the reason that my family and I will continue to support the “Taco Stand.”

Food was fresh and served with a smile. Lots of choices. The general manager Juan came over and asked how was the experience. He was very professional and welcoming.

Breakfast tacos are amazing Corn tortillas take forever They have messed up ALOT on my tortillas and it takes 10-15 min to make and then 10-15 to fix but they are really nice and It's soooo good Not a fan of the lunch menu but breakfast is top tier !!!

Never coming back here. The staff doesn't know the menu, and the meats are all incredibly dry. Overpriced. Awful. The people taking orders don't know how the meats are cooked. I haven't had that dry of meat at the 7/11 Laredo tacos. I ordered two tacos and it was $14. While the avocado and cheese added were good, the sour cream was nonexistent. I don't even know if I got added sour cream. Honestly, the avocado saved the taco, bc the meats were so dry. (Both the pollo and the pastor). Not worth my money or time.

Came here on a whim and I don't regret it. The service here was quicker than any fast food place. I came here on memorial weekend so that says the service alone was speedy and clean! The food was delicious, the meat was made correctly and well seasoned. The jalapeño poppers were large and in charge! I also got a side of pork skins which are a lot lighter than I ever tried; but don't let that fool ya'! They are delicious and flavored to perfection. The Ambiance of this place is amazing, I could hear my partner across from me, and was still able to enjoy the Latin music playing. Everyone here seemed to be enjoying their meal and service. Would recommend and come again!

Busy Friday Night!! This place was packed. Still fast friendly service and as always Rey clean and well maintained. I tried the Special. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Shrimp!! Delicious! Shrimp Burrito was Huge!! Also very delicious! Seriously if you want the closest thing to Southern California Mexican food in the Houston area you have to come here. They're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I've tried this place multiple times trying to give them a chance, the first time they labeled my burritos wrong, not that serious luckily no one had allergies and the mix up was more annoying than terrible. Second visit after many months, I get the chicken meat bowl, I got a teaspoon amount of rice, my food was entirely cold, and the chicken was all completely burnt to a crisp.. literally. It was all charred piece of chicken. I really wanted to like this place as I've heard good things but unfortunately these have been my experiences.

We live further south on the Gulf Freeway and watched this entire huge HEB business complex being built. We actually had some errands to run that were close by so today was the day we decided to stop into this giant complex for lunch. We chose The Taco Stand. The Taco Stand has indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the outside window and find an open table. Today was one of those rare, beautiful, must-eat-outside days in Houston so we took full advantage of it and grabbed an outdoor table. I can imagine the indoor seating would get quite crowded during the hotter months. We both ordered the exact same thing: one shrimp taco on a corn tortilla and one beef taco on a flour tortilla. We ordered them as they come with no modifications. We also ordered chips/queso. Both tacos were good but we both liked the shrimp taco better than the beef. The queso/chips were average at best and I'm not sure we'd order again. The price point is good. Four tacos and queso (with water cups) was $22. There was a definite breakdown in communication when trying to order. We both wanted one beef and one shrimp taco. She originally entered one of each for a total of two. I then explained that we both wanted one of each so it was two orders. She quickly changed it to two beef and two shrimp but when we received the order, the two shrimp were together in the same basket and the two beef were together. Obviously, we could quickly trade tacos in our basket but that shouldn't happen. The Taco Stand had a steady line of customers during the peak lunch rush. They also have a drive-thru if you are so inclined. Bottom line - Decent tacos and below average queso. Indoor and outdoor seating and a drive-thru. Would I eat here again? Yes. However, it is a little out of my way and I can't say it's worth me rushing back to try again. Bon appétit, y'all.

My husband and I just had dinner at The Taco Stand, the place has a nice terrace area, and indoor seating, you order and pay at the register, you have a lot of options of tacos to choose from, and also drinks. Staff is very friendly, and service is quick! We started with a queso and chips, the queso you can tell is homemade, also the chips, we liked it a lot! Also we had the quesabirrias the show stopper! The tortilla was crispy, the meat tender and super flavorful, and the broth wow to die for! So rich, intense, meaty and hearty I couldn't stop eating it! We also tried 4 different types of meat. First we tried the suadero it was good, but in my opinion it lacked a little salt, it would've been bomb! Also tried the barbacoa, this taco melts in your mouth, perfect texture, the only thing is that salt was missing also. Then we had the chicharron, the flavor was so good a little spicy acidic and meaty! Great taco! Then we had the carnitas taco, so flavorful, tender, definitely my favorite meat of all 4! We had all the tacos on corn tortillas, both corn and flour are homemade, really good! Everything is made from scratch including the sauces and pickled veggies, which are amazing! I loved the cucumber slices and the salsa de árbol omg so addictive!! Also the habanero one I loved it! As I am describing them, my mouth is watering all over again, we will definitely be back soon!

Our second time here and it hasn't disappointed us yet. The service is always great. Food is so delicious and fresh. My husband loves the queso and chips. It's a must with every meal. Also the limonada aqua fresca is always a hit with us. We love this place and it definitely gives you a more updated feel to a taco stand.

Customer service and ambience is great the vibe is pretty awesome,but unfortunately the food is decent. Let's start of with the texture of the tortilla. It's a little thicker than your standard tortilla from the bag but they also don't feel homemade. Wasn't a fan. I do appreciate the amount a meat they put in their tacos though. The suadero dry. Carne asada not much flavor to it and it was dry. Pastor once again not much flavor but I will say it was tender and soft. Agua horchata was very watered down and flavorless. The selection of salsas and condiments was nice. I guess I had high hopes but I rather go to a carnicería, taco truck, or Mexican restaurant to get my tacos. At least I will know that the flavor profile will be there and it will be more affordable too.

There is a big spacious patio where you also go to place your order. The line was a little bit long but after we ordered, the food came out super quick! Everything was delicious - especially the chips and queso.

Ok, I keep hearing about the place and I finally checked it out. Ambience neat. We ate outside and enjoyed the breeze and in about 3 minutes we thoroughly enjoyed our food. You get a buzzer that vibrates like a BOB and you pick it up at the window. Busser was quick to pick up our empties. Clean, fast, simple. My only issue...the music was so loud. But, everyday is a Fiesta! Go, eat and enjoy and tell them Billy Bob sent you. Until next time. Thanks for reading my stuff.

Bad Beryl Gyal This was my first meal when things started opening back up post Beryl. I was ravenous. I love the indoor/outdoor vibe and the non-stop Selena music with a few other tejano artists thrown in that they played. They had the UEFA Euro cup match on which was nice to watch, not having any power of my own at home and it was all perfect on a bright sunny day. There was one couple ahead of me. Not busy at all at 3/4 pm on the Wednesday afternoon post-Beryl. I ordered the supreme burrito w/ carne asada, added cheese and guacamole AND a side of chips and queso, along with a horchata to wash it all down. Like I said, Bad, Beryl Gyal. Ravenous Gyal and I did not care. I was trying to eat everything on their menu after subsisting off non perishable canned fish and nuts for the last couple days. The burrito was ok. There were a few bits of rice that weren't thoroughly cooked and the burrito tasted ok but didn't knock off my medias. The queso, oddly a little spicy, thickened up kinda quickly. The chips got stale towards the bottom of the basket. They had a fairly extensive salsa bar with various salsas, onion, cilantro, lemons, pickled pepper options, etc. I tried the roja, tomatillo and jalapeño salsas. ROJA tasted like watery tomato juice, TOMATILLO was very sour, kinda pickley. I would not eat either of the 2 again. The jalapeno salsa was just right. Not sure if it was bc the other 2 tasted so bad but it complemented my burrito well and was my favorite of the 3. I would eat it again. The horchata was wonderful and it was icy cold. Perfect for a hot day without power. Oh and I had eaten "inside". The whole restaurant feels like it's basically outside. Fresh and airy. But the outdoor patio felt comfy and the inside, where I sat, was fairly cool while still feeling like I was outside. It was nice. The Taco Stand seems like it might be well-behaved dog friendly. I didn't ask but regretted not taking my dog along with me. This was decent, maybe a slight pinch above taco cabana but with an excellent patio and vibe. I wouldn't run back but I'd return. Especially just for the atmosphere. Solo, with the dog or with friends or family. The staff were excellent. They were very hospitable and kept the place super tidy.

First time trying out this place. Orders chips & queso; 10/10. Corn taco of carne asada 0/10 very salty. Corn taco chicharon 7/10 not the best. Corn tongue 9/10 very good. My daughter order 3 flour tongue and loved them, couldnt even finish them BC they were pretty good portioned. Overall their meat was super salty for the exception of the tongue taco.

Omg this place was amazing and I've been craving their quesabirra tacos everyday since I've had them! Let me start off by saying I've never had those tacos so I don't have anything to compare them to but these were so delicious and the consume they serve with it is so full of flavor. I loved them. The queso was really good as well. The place is super cute, they have a big patio with lots of seating and seating indoors. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer so you know when your food is ready. They had heaters outside. Service was quick and friendly and everything came out fresh and hot. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

I'm glad my Brother in law took me and my son here. Service: Line was a bit long probably 6-7 people so a worker came and took orders on a device which was helpful for the person behind the window. In this process he helped with suggestions and recommendations also. I forgot my buzzer and he came to give it to me. They kept the "condiment" station refilled consistently. Food: I got a carne asada and pollo taco on corn and my son got a cheese quesadilla. The worker was good in asking if I wanted the kids one but I opt out since regular cheese quesadilla was cheaper and my son wouldn't eat all his sides. It was good for the both of us. The amount of cheese in the quesadilla was a good amount providing a crispy crust on some parts. Tacos tasted like street tacos. It was good stuff I do like how they have a bunch of sauces to choose from without having to go bother a worker for it and it's all Individual packed. Only thing that may be bothersome for people is its open layout. They have fans running but if it's a hot day you will feel some of that heat.

Been here a couple of times and both times were decent. Customer service was 10/10. Everyone looked like they were working hard. The food was an overall 7/10. The meat that they put in the tacos burritos, ect was decent, and flavorful. The tortillas was OK at best. My favorite thing on the menu is the Horchata/ Horchata Iced Coffee. The ambiance is a vibe especially at night when it's busy, sometimes too busy. A beautiful packed modern but yet old school taco stand if it makes sense. All in all, I'll be back.

The taco stand is a fantastic spot for enjoying affordable tacos that won't break the bank. We've tried both the al pastor and shrimp tacos, and both are excellent. The service is consistently great, and the place is always very clean, both inside and out.

The ambiance and service were great, quick and the music was wonderful. We've been before for breakfast which was bad, but we figured maybe they deserve another shot? I got a carnitas and carne asada taco, my husband got the same thing. They were horrible. Flavor was bad and meat was tough. I definitely won't ever be back, which is a shame because the burger joint by the same people were pretty good.

Good-food & ambience BAD- please stop add $1 more tacos & $2 more burritos for breakfast..... egg prices are back to normal.

Ordered a few breakfast tacos they were delicious and horchata was really good as well not too sweet just the right combination.

Gave them a second chance this time the experience was a lot better. We sat outside and watched the Astros win the game. It was on Sunday and a great breeze was coming through the fans so it felt good outside. This is a very nice place to visit

Went for the first time and it was delicious. You order at the window and they have outside and indoor seating. The shrimp and picadillo taco were so good. The torills are amazing. Husband got the bowl and the machete and it was huge! Service was quick and the restaurant was very clean.

The Taco Stand is a chill, family friendly place to enjoy tacos, frozen Margaritas, watch a game and listen to music. I love that the music is also at a decent level where you can still have a conversation without yelling. There may be a long line to order, but with the great customer service, the line goes by fast. Once you order your food, you are given a buzzer that alarms you when your food is ready. The quality of meat and portions is good as well. Be careful of how much salsa you use, because it does have a spicy kick to it.

Juan the general manager needs a shout out! I made a mistake, ordering my tacos. He came to my table, took care of it. No questions asked.Best customer service. The best quesabirra tacos around! Please go have a great experience there!

Cool new taco shop in the Webster area. A good variety of items on the menu and a very attentive staff. The food was delicious. We had the burrito which was big enough to satisfy anyone's appetite. They have a condiment area with different types of salsa, cilantro, pickled onions and more. The restaurant is nice and clean and provides an indoor and outdoor space. You order from the outdoor window and pick up your food from the same area when it's ready. Can't wait to come back and try the other food on the menu.

Welp I was going to say this place was a great stop but after fully finishing my burrito I'm not coming back. Customer service 10/10 fannntastic! Food for taste + quality is pretty good. Kids meals are small but none of that is why I'm not coming back. My husband + I got a gringo burrito. After my FIRST bite I found tiny, I mean suuuper tiny piece of tin foil or something like it that was skinning right at me. Since my food came in tin foil I thought I did it somehow + got it inside my burrito. I know I know; but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I kept eating Oh I will add the salad is blended + not so good. But at the end of my burrito I found yet again MORE silver pieces IN my food. Now that I can't ignore. After wanting to go out for a nice treat + spending a pretty penny we will be going to in in out next door. Excuse me while I feel like I have to go do a metal detox now!

I love the environment. Great vibes and music always hits spot on. The food is good. I always get the tacos of fajitas. Which they can be a hit or miss with flavor. I think one time I got some tacos that were super salty. But the other times they been so good. The service is good can't complain about it. I always find this place clean enough to keep going back.

Being that the restaurant just opened a few weeks ago, it was too packed to go inside. Although the drive-through was a bit of a wait, it was well worth it. I got myself a fish, taco, shrimp, taco, and my husband got 2 tacos than I cannot remember the kind, sorrry! The quest and chips were delicious as well!

The place was super busy at 11:00 but we jumped in line, it moved fast. A guy at the menu helped us order tacos, queso, and horchata to go! The place looks cute but we took it home.

I went here for lunch and order 3 tacos. Carnitas, corn, cilantro and onions I got a pepper infused chicken. Bean & cheese EXCELLENT but hey can you go wrong? And Barbacoa lol hopefully spell it correctly with cilantro and onions. I received a blob of dried up beef with cheese thats it. Remind you waited for 15 minutes. The taco waste grease all over my 2025 Toyota Sorento all leather seats. $50 bucks to clean. $25 for my pants. Pork smell was killing my car and seats besides the "extra" shine. The corn tortillas was extra thick dry and barely could eat smh. I emailed Juan after speaking with him. Went back and forth about 10 emails NEVER received my gift card through email or text however I got every one of his emails prior during our conversation. So I had to write these reviews sad place DO NOT GO TO WEBSTER LOCATION. He said he just took over about the 3-5 months ago cleaning it up but I can see where the problem lies.

Great friends and family opening. Tacos were on point. Great value. Simple authentic tacos at a great price. El pastor was my favorite. My wife loved her grilled shrimp the best. Queso was good, salsa was little on the spicy side which we like. Margaritas with Tahin was nice and limey not too sweet. It is walk up and order at the window. Staff was fast efficient and very nice. For the soft opening they had the food out quick. It was a very good experience all around. This place is different then some of the other near by Taco places because it is more authentic and just basic tacos with options like cactus and Tongue. They come in either corn or flour. Will be back for sure.

I got the brisket and egg tacos in the drive-through which BTW the POS terminal does ask for $tips. I gave 15% for To ensure Prompt Service, and they lost my order..

Warning: They offer a "vegetarian" burrito. I found out this includes rice that is made with chicken broth. Be sure you ask as obviously it isn't vegetarian. The vegan picadillo was pretty good, over all the food was okay. I would likely go agai8n just for something different but definitely not a first choice given limited options.

My wife and I ordered the gringo burrito (has beans rice and fries in it) since we went to school in San Diego and can't resist fries in our burritos. We got lengua and chicken. The fries weren't crisp, but the burrito were very good and a decent size. I'd give a 5 for the burritos. I also ordered a grilled fish taco, and it was as terrible as the burrito was good. Expensive, small, overcooked and rubbery and mo flavor. It gets a 1. We also ordered the chocolate flan and it wasn't good either. Dry and not very flavorful. I'd give it a 2. Based on price point, if you know what meat you like I would skip the tacos and go with the burrito. All of the hot sauces were good too, so thats a big p Overall a 4 based on what we ate above.

DRY! Meat and tortillas are dry. Even with sauces. Only good thing was the elote bowl. Burritos and tacos were not it.

Never going back again. The staff was nice enough at first. It seemed like they knew what I wanted when I explained. Well I received a surprise when I got home. Wrong order and missing items. When I called to tell them about the mistake they got defensive and argumentative. If you go be clear with your order and don't try to order anything modified. Also double check your stuff before you leave.

Good food. Reliably fast service and decent prices. Very reasonably priced. Love the music as well.

Great management, good food *I'm a fan of the Barbacoa!!! Delicious. The uniqueness of this concept stands on its own. I will be back to try more menu items. Loved the outdoor seating.

I wanted to try something new ... this place is right around the corner from my house. They do allow animals on the patio .. coming back ... and the tortillas are stellar !!

Yall should be ashamed having my wife wait 45 minutes for 2 burritos she paid for has her receipt then you proceed to tell her you can't find her order in the system that you can't make it. This is terrible behavior by your employees and establishment. I want a refund for my food because I'm sure you wouldn't like your money being stolen either. The manager Blanca Vasquez made things right so I changed the stars for you and I just want to say thank you for doing the right thing

This place was delicious! We loved the breakfast tacos and Mexican coffee. The staff was helpful and friendly. They have high chairs and changing tables which you don't find everywhere- so we appreciated it! I absolutely want to go back and eat here everyday! Soooooo good.

The guac was pretty good quesadillas pretty decent size. Shrimp taco needed a sauce. Overall I enjoyed the food it was considerably better than velvet taco but not as good as torchys. Refreshments they have a great selection. Restaurant was clean and staff was cleaning the entire time. It was pretty busy when I went so it's a little bustling and tables are close together. I'll definitely be back to try other things.

Actually surprised! Pretty good! I ordered a taco de asada. My husband had a burrito supreme de barbacoa and my daughter the quesadillas! Lemonade was pretty good too! We will definitely come back!

The Food was so filling, fresh, scrumptious!! We go often and it never disappoints. Everyone who works there always has a smile on their face and is working their hardest at all times. They have lots of tv's with sports, great latino music, and a big shaded outdoor section; a/c inside section and a drive through. 10/10 Must try again!

Tasty, friendly, very busy! Today was my first visit and since they just recently opened it was extremely busy. Ordered the kids quesadillas with beef and cheese, very tasty. Fountain drink, good and cold without too much ice. Couldn't say much about ambience because the drive thru is what it is. Nice employees taking order and working drive thru window.

Amazing food and easy going atmosphere. You just order at a window and pick up food when buzzer goes off. They have both outdoor and indoor seating options. Lots of Tv's to watch sports !! If you're craving authentic tacos this is the place to go !!
