The Taco Stand

Been a while since eating at their San Diego branch. Now in Vegas with two locations- Chinatown and Summerlin. Menu is simple- tacos, burritos, nachos, churros, and street corn. But good choices of vegetables and protein- too bad they don’t have cabeza or trepas. They have a salsa and sauce bar. The tacos are very good and tasteful. Service is quick. Definitely coming back

As a taco lover, I was very ecstatic to see this spot open up near me, since I’ve only heard wonderful reviews about this place. As soon as we opened the doors, we noticed there was a line wrapped around the restaurant with every table filled with patrons. There was a bit of a wait, but it gave me enough time to snag a table while my husband waited to order our meals. When I sat down, I noticed the table had drink holders on the side, which made things very convenient, especially when you order a ton of food. These useful contraptions held our bottled drinks in place, making sure to avoid any accidental spillage. I ordered 3 tacos (Pollo Asado, Camaron, Al Pastor) and my husband ordered 3 as well (Al Pastor x2, Baja) with a side of their Carne Asada Fries and a couple bottled drinks. Even though we waited for quite some time, the food came out freshly prepared and piping hot. All of the tacos were packed with fresh veggies, homemade salsa and perfectly seasoned meats/seafood. The freshly made tortillas were soft, pliable and very flavorful. The fries were nice and crispy, the guacamole was pretty good, but the Carne Asada was cut in big pieces and lacked a bit of flavor. Overall, the food was definitely worth the hype, so we’ll definitely be back for more tacos!

Absolutely loved this place. The Taco Stand in Summerlin is definitely one of the best spots for tacos in Las Vegas. The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Everything tastes authentic. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is great, casual, and clean. I will definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves real Mexican street-style tacos.

The Al Pastor tacos are to die for. Truly a new favorite spot for tacos. The bean and cheese burrito is a large size and has a very homemade taste that reminds me of abuela's beans. The salsa stand offers a variety of spices from basic salsa to fire sauce. I will definitely recommend this establishment and be back again and again. The Taco Stand stands on business with a excellent product at a great price.

I was pleased to find out that my favorite Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas opened a new location, so I don’t have to drive all the way to their popular old spot closer to the Strip anymore. The new location is just as good! The food is amazing, and the tacos are well thought out - I highly recommend them. They also have a self-serve counter with excellent salsas. The place was quite packed when we got there, so expect a little wait, but it’s definitely tolerable.

The food was flavored nicely and I do love that everything is made in house. Or at least that is what we are told, the chips looked like they were all pre bagged. We went in at the end of the lunch rush and ordered our food. I got a burrito and my wife got two tacos. We sat down and watched as the five people behind us ordered food Togo. All five groups of Togo orders got their food before we did. It’s pretty sad when you care more about the people leaving the restaurant than you do about the guests dining in. Our order was taking a while so I ask if I could have the chips from our order, the ones we had to pay extra for, and they told me no, it will come out with your order. So we just sat there waiting and watching all of the people who ordered after us get their food and leave. Like I said the food was decent but the service was pretty bad and $6 dollars for a 12 ounce bottle of beer is straight ROBBERY!!! We liked the habanero hot sauce but the rest were pretty bland and even their “hot” one just tasted like someone blended up a cheap can of chipotle peppers. The atmosphere was ok, the tables were not very clean and I had to clean the one we chose to sit at. I will say for the price we paid for the tacos I expected more. They were very stingy as far as the protein went and the one taco shell they used was soggy and fell apart. All in all it was ok and we might go back.

This is a newly opened restaurant that my husband and I decided to visit this month. We ordered two grilled chicken tacos and two al pastor tacos with street corn and some drinks. The food quality really impressed us. The chicken was very soft and juicy, and the al pastor tacos were also very tender and flavorful. The corn had an absolutely exquisite flavor. The food quality at this place has truly been spectacular. However, I have one suggestion for the owners, and it's the reason I'm giving the restaurant four stars. I think it would be helpful if they added English names for their dishes. I say this as a Latina whose native language is Spanish. We don't live in a Latin American country; we live in the United States. Even for me, a fluent Spanish speaker, there are some dishes I don't understand because they are specific to Mexico. Like Nopal. I have absolutely no idea what that is. I can only imagine how confusing this is for people who only speak English, like my husband. This could be a reason for customers not to come back. Being able to clearly communicate what a business sells isn't just about helping the business make more money; it's also about showing respect to your customers. Additionally, as of March 1, 2025, English is the official language of the United States, although this has always been the case in some states. Show respect for your customers, and your customers will show respect back to your business. I would also suggest that customers consider getting their food to go. The place is quite hot and cramped, so it's not the most comfortable place to sit and eat. For now, the amazing food is what makes it worth coming back. I wish the owners a lot of success with their new business.

Nice!! My wife ordered 3 tacos and I ordered a burrito. Everything was good. The tacos are huge. I liked the sauces. I’m not Mexican but in my opinion everything was tasty. The place has a really cool ambiance.
