The Tailgater Tavern

Went there on 11/14 around 9:26 pm. The lady there was extremely off putting. They didn’t have the ingredients for the shot I wanted, which is understandable. I was asking if it could be supplemented with something similar. She seemed inconvenienced that I wasn’t ordering something basic like just a beer. I understand to make it quick and simple if the bar is busy but that is rarely ever the case at this bar. Just very dismissive and cold attitude. I wouldn’t say to not go here but perhaps not when she is working if you want good service.

Visited this bar multiple times as it is a local business . The brunette with the wavy hair is 50/50. If you put $100 in a machine she is cool…. If you ask any questions god forbid. then you get a short pour on a draft beer and an attitude... 🤣🤣🤘

This place is a true gem. We got tired of paying $15 a beer at Allegiant Stadium and decided to find a bar. Saw this place on Google Maps and headed over. What a great find! A blend of dive bar with lots of TV's for sports. Happened to come during their daily Happy Hour, so food and drinks were an amazing value. Very happy to have found this spot, will definitely return. Well worth checking out for a few drinks at any hour.

When I arrived, I asked for 2 happy hour margaritas, more on this later. Our table also ordered a cheesesteak and hotdog meal. It took about 45 minutes to get our food and there were only about 20 people in the bar. More than half were only drinking at the bar counter. There is no reason our food should have taken this long. When our food finally arrived, the hotdog arrived crispy, aka burnt, as shown in the attached photo....makes sense why the food took so long, the cook may know how to "throw down" on the grill but doesn’t seem to know how it pick it up off the grill when ready. The cheesesteak was mediocre and didn't have much flavor. It was also pretty dry/overcooked. Additionally, our waitress wasn't too friendly and seemed to avoid eye contact for some reason. When I received the bill, I asked why the 2 well margaritas were full price and not happy hour discounted and she stated they do not honor happy hour during events, normally I wouldnt make a fuss but this is something important to tell a first time guest when/before they order it...especially when they specifically ask for the happy hour drinks. Sugar on top, the event in reference was rescheduled 2 hours before my bill arrived. Not at all pleased with my visit and can't see myself returning.

Bartender rude!!!! Multiple people , including myself , says hi to her on the way in. She doesn't say hi back. Just says what can I get you!

Great food friendly staff! A perfect place for pregaming, the owner was super nice and accommodating. The tavern is our starting and ending spot for stadium events.

Heard this was a Raiders bar; walked in every game but the Raiders was on. Had to keep asking the bartender to put it on then again to get some volume. The tightest machines too. If you came here in the hopes of possibly winning anything forget it. Here’s the best; ordered a chorizo burrito - no chorizo. Then when I get the burrito it’s appetizer size. This place is a perfect candidate for Bar Rescue. Honestly, the good reviews must have been from the owners friends. Don’t go here; there a million other options in this city.

Had a fantastic night at The Tailgater Tavern. Jake was super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He also kept the drinks flowing throughout the night. As first time visitors in Vegas, he made us feel extremely welcome. We searched for a 24 hour bar to watch a Scottish football game and we weren't disappointed. The food was lovely too. Thank you! 🥳🥳

Great place before the UNLV football games! Great fun packed atmosphere! Lots of TVs and the food is really good! They were very accommodating to my burger with no bun, even cooked my burger in a pan to keep it safe Gluten free. Even so busy the service was great, owners were delivering food! Kudos for all hands on deck! We had a great time!

Cheap drinks, cold ac and even colder beer. Had a burger and fries from here and it was extremely good. It actually shocked me how good it was coming from a dive bar like this. Cool bar I will be back for sure.

Well, folks, picture this: Yours truly decided to grace The Tailgater with their presence one fine Saturday afternoon. And what a revelation it was! This place was hopping, thanks to a UNLV football game and a whole bunch of alumni congregating for some pre-game shenanigans. Situated a mere stone's throw away from Allegiant Stadium, The Tailgater practically screams "Raider Nation." If you're headed to an event at the stadium and you're not tailgating in the parking lot, this joint is closer to the action than your car. Yeah, I said it! When it comes to liquid courage, The Tailgater doesn't mess around. They've got a lineup of beers that'll make your head spin, and rumor has it they like to switch things up on tap. And if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, they've got the full Monty when it comes to liquor and a kitchen that knows what's up (when items are in stock, more on that in a sec). Our bartender extraordinaire was none other than Megan, and let me tell you, she was like a hospitality wizard. She went out of her way to make sure our every whim was catered to. On game days, they streamline the menu a bit, but don't fret, the bar-style grub is the real McCoy. We went all-in on the wings, and they were seasoned to perfection. The only tiny hiccup? Well, the wings were tiny too, maybe the tiniest wings I've ever laid eyes on. Here's a hack: Consult Megan about the wing situation before you commit. But hold onto your drinks, there's more to this story! Despite the hustle and bustle and the slightly slimmed-down menu, some items were playing hard to get, like their tots and onion rings--listed on the menu but about as available as a unicorn at a petting zoo. Instead, they served up the smallest stick fries this side of a frozen fry bag's reject pile. You know, the sad bits and pieces that you find at the bottom of the bag? Yeah, those. Now, I can't forget to mention the dive bar charm. The Tailgater has that glorious, unpretentious ambiance that's a hallmark of the finest dive bars. It's the kind of place where you can kick back, enjoy a cold one, and soak in the game day glory. Oh, and let's not forget about the breakfast plates and pizzas - they looked fantastic too. And here's a little secret: since the Crazy Horse is just up the street, if you time it right in the morning hours, you might catch a glimpse of the strippers and their security crew stopping by The Tailgater for breakfast and drinks. Now, that's a show you won't want to miss! So, whether you're a sports fanatic, or just looking for a laid-back spot to soak in the game day vibes, The Tailgater has you covered. We will be back... Been here a few times when I couldn't find a better option...Being a dive bar the l prices are good, but they are always out of items on the menu which is annoying. I never heard of a dive bar being out of Mozzarella Sticks, French Fries and Potato Salad! And guess what, the Service sucks what a shocker!

Beth is awesome. Stays attentive and is ready for any refill. Compliments the bar & takes care of everybody. 10/10 thank you for your service.

In it's inconspicuous location and camouflaged front entrance you may find yourself driving right past if you don't know it's there. I knew this building existed and I went there deliberately because it had been years since I'd been there when it was another bar completely called Hammer and Ales. I knew another bar took it's place and wanted to try Tailgater Tavern. Since you have to know this place is here, it's a total locals place (Great! I'm a local). There were only a handful of patrons in there and they seemed to be the type that come there after work every single night just to drink their lives away and stumble home. I have to tell you the bartender was flat-out unaccommodating. She barely took our first drink order. No smile, no "how are ya?", Not even offering us a menu.... she just wanted to return to talking to the small group of daily drunk degenerates in there. Didn't even check on us until I had already decided I was leaving after one drink. So I'd think a place like this that would depend 100% on local business would want to make a regular out of somebody new. Ya know...drives sales... offer them a menu, be friendly, check on them. Nope, not here. She couldn't give any less of a hoot. This place is a joke, I went somewhere else and had a great time. If you happen to see this place, just keep passing it like everybody else does less the handful of degenerates in there. *** the funny part is another yelper posted a picture and review about the same unfriendly, ameteur, miserable bartender. I don't know who she is but the receipt that was handed to me said "DavidsonA" .... anybody that goes there might want to avoid her shift. After some investigation it sounds like she works Tuesday through Thursday Swing Shift 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Well....I won't be going back at all as I have a laundry list of better places to go!

Came here to meet up with friends who were visiting from Florida. The drinks were a good price and the bartender poured with a heavy hand! Me and my husband shared some fries while we drank! The service, food and drinks were great! Definitely a place to come back to when there is a event near the stadium!

Sunday night quite, stop in. Order wings and mixed drink. Bartender complained about making it, wings were cold. Bartender was more interested in chatting on phone the taking care of us. Lame and rude. She refused to put joke box on. Only sports talk tv. Don't recommend at all.

The Tailgater Tavern is like a bar from the movies. It's not the fanciest bar but it feels like everyone who goes there are regulars. It's also not crazy crowded so I can actually sit at the bar and have a drink and not have to fight for it. They have TV's for the games and game days specials. We are a town with almost as many bars as we do McDonalds. I like the bar because the food is good. They have my favorite wings and fries in town. I honestly don't know what else to say but I actually go here and I enjoy it.

Service sucks, one person came by once and got our drinks never came back !!!tip her good didn't care just left us there, then this guy comes to charge us again , I advised we already paid Bethany and will said we had to pay again, was so rude!!! Don't recommend this place this is the second time we come and all employees are just so rude. I called I forgot my purse I was only 2 mins away, they tried to run my card, I'm filing a police report . As soon as I noticed I blocked my cards, they went through my purse took all my cards out!!! I took a picture of the guy he took off as soon as I got back to the location.

It's exactly what you'd expect it to be. Which is what makes it so perfect. I remember this place when it was a construction bar before the Raiders ever thought of coming to Las Vegas. They were brilliant in their foresight to change their name and game plan. I was there Friday night for the UNLV football game and Sunday for the Raiders' game. I would have been better off to stay at the bar!!! Just a nice bar with plenty of room, good bartenders and plenty of TVs. Good selection of beer, typical bar food but with an exceptionally tasty cheeseburger.

I come here sometimes before, but usually after work to have a drink and hang out with my friends. I love the local vibe and how I always run into someone I know from the industry. Wings and fries are good (always a plus!) and people are great here. So glad this place opened up and so close to my work. I should try and come here for lunch on day. lol

Great food at a great price. Bacon Blue burger was excellent, side salad surprisingly good for a bar atmosphere.

Karlie Jessica and Katie are some of the best bartenders in Vegas, this is a great local place, I would highly recommend.

I stopped by today the bartender was so rude. She made it a point to let my friend and I know that we inconvenienced her by sitting at a table. She was condescending and lacked an ability to provide any sort of customer service. It's unfortunate because it was my first time here. I was looking at the reviews and to my amazement (not really) all the bad reviews are about the same bartender. My last straw was when the bar got empty and my friend attempted to get her attention and she deliberately ignored her while she was smoking. Cherry on top, she didn't even wash her hands after smoking. It's disgusting.

This is a very unique bar in Vegas. Located in a business district but very accessible and ample parking. We came here to do our fantasy MLB draft and we were very happy with what they have to offer. Big bar with plenty of food and beer options, good prices and great service. They also have the main bar, then a private room and run another ultra private room upstairs. Very cool. I enjoyed the wings, fries and a great Philly sandwich.

My friends and I were looking for a place to grab a drink after the game and decided to give this place a try. Service here is terrible. Don't waste your time

I love slow/chill places. This is it for Vegas Best bloody Mary/other drinks in Vegas ive had yet Pretzel bites are NOT very good (watery cheese dip) Fried mushrooms are awesome (their ranch is good) Pizza is awesome

My first time in here and the bartender walk me and went toward the restroom and I waited for 5 minutes. Then came out of the kitchen and look shock when she saw me standing there still. She ask me how can I help with an attitude. I answered her I would to place an order then I told her forget it. I don't want to place an oder but thanks. She started to laugh and said thanks see you later. I guess if that's not your business and don't care if the place makes money. As a business owner you don't want any money to walk away. But some people don't care. Thank you , but I hope that you get better employees and do not go out of business.

I love this bar, the bartender Sarah is so nice! My boyfriend and I came here for the the first time, and I love it!!! Being born and raised in Las Vegas, I always wanted a good dive/ sports bar to go to. This is definitely the place! The owners are awesome, and I'm glad I got to experience this bar. Great draft beers and great service. :) the food menu is also amazing !

By far the best bar before a game or an event at the stadium! Food and drink prices are reasonable, bartenders and wait staff are super attentive, it's my go to spot!

I love this place. Great happy hour and probably the best $5.00 chease pizza you can find (happy hour). The bar tenders are great Carla and Carrie are on point.

A totally unassuming bar that is one of the most welcoming places in Vegas. A beer selection that beer snobs will be happy and one of the best pizzas anywhere. Lots of specials to keep you coming back. My personal favorite is a PB&J.

Favorite place to grab a drink, great seating area and food. could use a dart board or some kind of game for a more tailgater feeling though. Do not put your drinks on brand new pool table I will personally hunt you down.

Ok sports bar with a friendly staff. You can easily miss it from the street as it's kinda hidden in a business park. Plenty of TVs and a few games to play. The food looked good and the cook offered every in there a lil appetizer for free. Would go back just to hang out.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem about a month ago. This place is chill, relaxing, and a great place to meet up after work! The graveyard bartender, John, was super friendly and entertaining. Boy can he move when it is a busy night. Very quick and efficient. The food is great, especially the fish tacos! The vibe is very chill, warm, and inviting. They also have a killer jukebox! The drinks are amazing and you have to try John's michelada! Sooooo good! He is by far our favorite bartender! Have been coming here with my coworkers from McCarran Airport and each time we come here, I feel like we keep bringing more people! It's our new favorite watering hole after work. The area is industrial but the parking lot is so safe that my coworkers and I have Uber-ed home a couple times and left our cars. Came back to pick them up, and they are still there...in one piece. I wish I knew about this bar when I first moved here because it's by far my new, number one, spot to frequent and hang out after work with friends or coworkers!

I've been here twice now. The people are super friendly and Autumn (bartender) is awesome. Chill place, definitely recommend.

Visiting checking out the Death Star, ran across this place. Good vibes, great black and bleu burger, cold beer and excellent service. Two thumbs up.

This is the place to be and be seen! Been coming here for 8 years now and it is sooooo much better with the new owners! Food is delicious and the bar is clean and comfortable. Its got that ol' school feeling of vegas!

After frequenting driving by this place i decided to check it out with a friend. I ordered a 805 draft beer since its my favorite beer, have it in my fridge at home and it's my normal beer of choice when I see it on any menu. After the bartender gave it to me my friend as well as myself immediately just by looking at it said this isn't 805 beer it was way too light in color. I took a sip and it tasted like a normal domestic like a Miller or Coors. I said to the bartender this isn't a 805. Rather than seeing if the keg was hooked up to the wrong tap she said yes it is, I said no way is this a 805 beer. Never have I had this happen to me. I miss the last place that used to be there called Owl. Nothing special about this place, not going there again especially after this experience. Be careful what you order it could be a different type of beer than what you requested.

The menus aren't up to date!! Me and my wife went. The waitress was super nice, but she was by herself!! No manager, no extra help on the floor, and not enough cooks, (from how she made it seem like). What kind of business runs with no help on the floor and not enough cooks to actually have the food come out faster!!

Good quite place to hang out to watch sporting events and gamble. Bartender is social and knowledgeable. But I think he would need more help when the establishment gets crowded a women bartender would be a nice addition
