The Tanjore Tiffin Room, Goa

We had such a wonderful experience dining at The Tanjore Tiffin Room in Goa! The ambience is elegant yet cozy, with beautiful South Indian-inspired décor and a warm vibe. The food was exceptional — authentic flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and every dish was fresh and delicious. We tried the dosas, curries, and their signature cocktails — all were amazing! What really stood out was their thoughtful service — they even offered tastings of the curries, rice, and payasam before we ordered, which was such a lovely touch. The payasam was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. A must-visit in Goa if you’re craving authentic South Indian flavors paired with great cocktails in a classy, relaxed setting.

Hands down, the food here is amazing! The menu's got tons of options, and the flavors are on point. I loved that they let us taste their curries before ordering - super helpful in deciding what to go for! Overall, great experience, but the construction going on at the site was a bit of a bummer. Dust and noise while trying to enjoy your meal isn't ideal. Still, the food's worth it!

Tanjore Tiffin rooms is an experience in itself. Being south indian, we were a Lil skeptical to try tamil cuisine from Goa but boy was this a surprise. From the beautiful rooms to the service and the food - everything was special. The curry sampler turned out great, so were the appams and the prawn starters. Difficult to choose a favourite here but highly recommend The Tanjore Tiffin rooms for the experience. Drinks from the starter rasam to the gin cocktails turned out fab too.

We had a wonderful experience at Tanjore Restaurant. 1. Atmosphere was serene 2. Food was hygienic & delicious 3. Staff were extremely helpful 4. Complimentary Rasam & Papad & sampler at the beginning is a unique & thoughtful touch. 5. Valet parking is also available, which adds to the overall convenience. A special mention to Devika, who was exceptionally kind & attentive throughout our order. Highly recommended!

One of my favourite places in Goa. Impeccable food, really doesn't get better. Brilliant drinks. Passionate staff. An ambience where you can spend hours. Highly highly recommend on every trip to Goa. Everything from the malabar parotta to appams to paniyaram to the tasters they give you in the beginning, is phenomenal.

This Tamilian place is just perfect for anyone who Loves this cuisine. Everything we ordered was excellent. Staff is around you all the time To help with the orders Highly recommended !! From the moment we stepped into The Tanjore Tiffin Room, the ambience left us absolutely spellbound. With its beautifully curated interiors and warm lighting, the space strikes a perfect balance between traditional charm and modern elegance — truly mind-blowing. What elevated our dining experience even further was the service. Our server was not only polite but extremely knowledgeable. He presented us with a unique tasting thali featuring a variety of gravies, explaining each one in detail. This thoughtful concept — allowing guests to sample the gravies before placing their main course order — added a personalized and interactive touch that set the tone for the rest of the evening. We began with the Madurai-style roasted chicken wings, which were packed with bold, rustic flavours. The jackfruit ghee roast taco was a standout — inventive, hearty, and deliciously spiced. The vada curry with lemon rice was comforting and flavorful, showcasing the depth of South Indian home-style cooking. To end the meal, we ordered the coconut jaggery paniyaram for dessert. It was the perfect conclusion — delicately sweet, warm, and soulful, without being overwhelming. Overall, The Tanjore Tiffin Room delivered a refreshing and memorable dining experience. With a blend of outstanding food, a knowledgeable team, and a thoughtfully designed ambience, it's a place we'd gladly return to. Highly recommended!

Tanjore Tiffin Room is an elevated, fine dining experience of South Indian cuisine. Checks all the boxes- great food, great cocktails, great ambience. It is one of our favourite places that we first visited in Mumbai and absolutely could not resist visiting again on our holiday in Goa. The curry sampler always leaves us spoilt for choice in deciding the mains. The curry meats are cooked to perfection and pair extremely well with warm appam. Tanjore has a gorgeous outdoor seating space but it can be pretty hot in the day time. Prior reservation is recommended.
