The 14 Best Hotel Bars In LA

"The Langham is an absurdly luxurious, 110-year-old hotel that sits amongst the manicured lawns and stately mansions of Pasadena. We’d pay the $10 valet fee to simply roam around the estate, but stopping for a drink at The Tap Room is a good idea, too. The historic bar has a huge chandelier-adorned interior that looks like a suite on the Titanic, plus an outdoor patio overlooking the grounds. If it’s gloomy out though, you'll find us inside by the fireplace sipping scotch.  " - brant cox

The Tap Room At The Langham - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Sitting amongst the manicured lawns and stately mansions of Pasadena, The Langham is an ridiculously luxurious hotel that’s been around for over a century. We’d pay the $10 valet fee simply to roam around the 23-acre estate, but stopping for a drink at The Tap Room is a good idea, too. The historic bar has a huge chandelier-adorned interior that looks like a suite on the Titanic, plus a wrap-around outdoor patio overlooking the grounds. If it’s gloomy out though, we’re inside by the fireplace sipping Scotch." - Brant Cox

I was introduced to The Tap Room years ago, and it’s been my go-to date night spot ever since, both pre- and post-marriage (some things are worth holding onto). The entire Langham Hotel is absolutely stunning, but there’s something about The Tap Room that just hits differently. Maybe it’s the vibe. It’s equal parts classy and cozy, with a splash of Hollywood cool (fun fact: Westworld filmed scenes at the bar inside). Inside, it’s dark and moody in the best way. Outside, it’s serene with a front-row seat to nature’s greatest hits. On my most recent visit, we opted for the patio despite it being a rainy and cold day. There was a cool breeze, quiet ambiance, and that perfect post-dinner glow (and a heater if you really need it). I ordered the Underground Tunnel (Michter’s Bourbon, lemon, pear, and caramel), and wow. It’s smooth, balanced, and dangerously refreshing. Not too strong, not too sweet. My wife went with a classic mojito because let’s be honest: some things are classics for a reason. With drinks in hand, we took a stroll around the property. Highly recommended. It’s peaceful, romantic, and gives you a whole new angle on the Langham’s beauty. The Tap Room keeps delivering, every single time. Whether you’re sipping something special or just soaking in the vibes, it’s a place that makes any evening feel elevated. Already counting down the days till our next visit.

Th Tap Room is a beautifully appointed, atmosphere rich, swanky bar with a sweeping view of The Langham Hotels impeccable grounds. The drinks were perfection. The cocktail list was ecclectic, and delightfully creative concoctions for everyone in our group- sweet, spicy, or smoky. The light menu was exactly what we wanted- nibbles with drinks, then desserts. The jazz singer and live piano were a hard to find touch that really made the experience one of a kind.

We stayed at the hotel for a week. Passing by the Tap room everyday, we finally got a chance to pay a visit one Friday night. Without a doubt, it is a beautiful place. Unfortunately, that is the only thing we were happy about. 1. The service was abysmal. We asked for a table and were told it was open seating and someone would come to us. There were only several uncleaned tables so we took one. But for half an hour, no one came. We cleaned it ourselves thinking the waiters must be too busy. But then found they were all chatting and laughing in the kitchen(?) when I went to the bar to order drinks. 2. Their overpriced cocktails ($20+) were made from mixers. So of course they tasted terrible. 3. What's worse is that they double charged me for the drinks, when I opened the tab they charged me for the first round and when I closed the tab they charged me again for all rounds. For all the years I've had my credit card, this is the first time I'm disputing a charge. So, thank you for the experience! So, my final suggestion is, come here for the beautiful view but avoid the Tap room at all costs.

I have never been to Latham Hotel before. My friends took us to the Pasadena Showcase House which was down the street, this year. A very fun exploration of design and a wonderful home. A great walk from the Latham, and back, with more beautiful houses. (Parking tip for the Showcase House park at the Latham and walk, instead of taking the bus from Santa Anita) Then plan for drinks and snacks at the Tap Room in the Latham! The drinks were wonderful (but a large Beautiful ice cube can cut down the size of the drink.) The guacamole, olives, and popcorn chicken were better than I expected. Prices are not inexpensive but worth the ambiance and quality of everything we had. Next time we will be out on the patio.

Thank you to Danni our server, she was so great. The drinks were fantastic with a great selection of cocktails and mocktail . Atmosphere was great; Adults only feel, and upscale.

Google
Beautiful, Elegant, Timeless, ambiance, where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine or a cocktail and a few nibbles. The shishito peppers among other items on the menu are delicious. It can get busy, so food items ordered take some time, but I think it's to be expected. Nice and relaxing. Thank you!

Google
Tap Room was very classy, beautiful scenery. It is pricey not cheap at all. On Thursdays they have live Jazz band. The views are impressive as well. You have to valet so bring cash for that. The valet isn't bad only 6 bucks. If you want to splurge a little and enjoy a very refined ambiance then this is the place to! They do have happy hour as well so try to make to happy hour so this way it won't hurt your wallet

Google
This is a bit of heaven, literally un pedacito de cielo. The food was good, not overpriced, drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was fabulous, even the restrooms are luxurious. The parking was $8 plus tip but so worth it! The outside patio has heated couches and heaters in the ceiling. It is great for any age!

Yelp
We came in for some drinks and quick bites before our Halloween event at the Huntington garden. This lounge is spacious with a very beautiful patio area. A lot of comfy couches all over the place. We chose a cozy couch by the window which was very relaxing. We had vesper martini, sparkling rose, grilled octopus (gf), spicy tuna tartare and smash burger. Everything was very tasty and the portions were perfect for bar fares. They have limited gluten free items on the menu. The service was top notch which lives up to 5 star hotel standards. They were playing Dodgers world series on tv but we couldn't stay and watch. So this is a good place to watch sports too. I really liked our lounge experience, will definitely come back from time to time! Ps. Valet was $15 with validation

Yelp
I unfortunately no longer live in the area. However, I found this an excellent place to visit, with a great atmosphere and a variety of solid food with quality drinks!

Yelp
ORIGIN: The Tap Room opened in 2010 as part of an initiative to revamp food and beverage destinations that are available within the hotel. It is named after the hotel's first bar that had opened in the 1930s. LOCATION: The Tap Room is located in the hotel currently known as the Langham Pasadena. ATMOSPHERE: The interior is dark and moody, with leather upholstered seats, cases of books, table lights, and a fireplace. A covered terrace with plush patio furniture offers an alternative environment to enjoy a cocktail, small dishes, or dessert while overlooking the quintessentially Southern California landscape. SERVICE: Service is attentive. On my most recent visit I was introduced to the manager, Stephanie, who was especially welcoming after my delayed arrival from NYC. EXPERIENCE: It is good to see the Tap Room is so popular, including customers who are local residents. During Thursday-Saturday evenings live music can complement the experience. The kitchen is shared with another restaurant in the hotel. Dishes are uneven in execution, but I have identified a high level and reliable combination that is both well presented and prepared: the former Jalapeño Crush, now called Tropical Lightning after roses of the same name in the community's garden ($23), and Spicy Tuna Tartare ($18). The cocktail is composed jalapeño-infused tequila with a refreshing mix of pineapple, cucumber, and lime juice. TIP: The kitchen closes at 10 PM, but nuts are freely available. Discounted parking fee for Tap Room customers.

Yelp
Love this place for drinks. It's in the Langham so you know it's not going to be cheap but the ambiance is great if you want a mellow place where you can actually talk and unwind. You're pretty much forced to valet as they removed a lot of the street parking but the bar does validate so in the end it's $15.

Yelp
This hidden gem of history is located in the most beautiful residential area of Pasadena. My first time here...How did that happen? Never again. This girl will definitely be back. Excellent service from the minute we arrived. *Valet only my friends - $25 or $15 with validation inside The Tap Room. We walked through the gorgeous lobby making our way to the left corridor to the back of the hotel. Once we entered, David greeted us and told us to sit where ever we liked. We had a "Goldilocks" moment...what can I say...we moved 2 x's until we grabbed the sofa by the fireplace which became available! Woo hoo! Our server was the amazing Jorge. We LOVED HIM!!!! Very attentive, friendly & quite frankly sweeter than sweet! Diego also came around to help. He was fabulous too! They brought us water and some yummy snacks. I ordered the "Twilight Zone," prickly pear, lime, tequila and agave. Yum! ($21) My yelp friend ordered "Tropical Lightening," cucumber, lime, jalapeño, pineapple, cilantro, tajin rim ($23). We shared the Truffle Fries ($12) huge serving! And the charcuterie & cheese board ($28). Beautiful presentation! We didn't finish either. Lol. 8:00pm the entertainment started with a very talented pianist. So, the evening was a hit! *Check the website for the "Live Music" schedule. Usually Thursday - Sunday at the Tap Room. *Dress is casual- but that word is not in this fashionista's vocabulary... A little pricey but sometimes the experience is worth the $$$.

Yelp
Friday Night at the Langham Hotel The Tap Room. Ordered a Burger it came with chips. I liked it. Ordered a cold glass of beer. Enjoyed the live music (singer and pianist). Burger was great!!! We sent the truffle fries back. Bonus + really enjoyed the free bar appetizers YUM

Yelp
Whether you're here to stay at the hotel, celebrate an event, or study, the tap room is such a nice place to visit and relax at. I did not have the pleasure of trying their food, but the service was great when I needed to get rosé for my table. The inside seating is amazing and is nothing short of classy. The dress code is relatively casual, but there will be a lot of people that are wearing suits and dresses and just looking really good. You will not feel out of place regardless.

Yelp
Came here for an after dinner cocktail. The drinks were great and loved the atmosphere of the outdoor patio. Will definitely return for their live music next time!

Yelp
Had a staycation at the Langham Hotel so swung by the Tap Room for some drinks. Although they no longer have the happy hour which made the drink prices more reasonable, the quality of service and drinks are still really good. Pearadise | $21 : (Hand-harvested Blue Agave Tequila, Prickly Pear, Lime, Black Lava Salt) - I've ordered this before, and is really my go-to. The bartender made it super balanced and refreshing. It's not too sweet and not too tart either. Jalapeño Crush | $23 : (Hand-harvested Blue Agave Tequila, Cucumber, Jalapeño, Pineapple, Cilantro, Lime) - This was very refreshing. The cilantro and cucumber were used perfectly and the jalapeño gives it a kick, but not too spicy. Spanish Style Potato Croquettes | $18 : (20-month Cured Jamon Serrano, Idiazabal Mozzarella, Brava Sauce) - At first glance, these look like mozzarella sticks but they're actually ham and cheese croquettes. Very tasty, especially with the sauce, and actually quite filling. The atmosphere is really nice with many seating areas. There are bar seats, sofas by a fireplace, chairs, and outdoor seating on the patio. The interior is dark and moody with the dark wooden columns, which takes you back in time a bit. They also have jazz nights on specific days of the week so I would check out their website for the schedule if you're interested.

Yelp
Went here after brunch and tea. They open at 2pm on weekend and it's not busy. We ordered drinks and snacks. I love love love the truffles fries and their dessert. Crème brûlée is different because it's not flan they use it's more like Chocolate and it's not that really sweet. Truffle fries you can taste the truffle and aioli oil. The aioli sauce is really good. Very addicting. Alcohol is actually good very worth it. Ambiance is really nice. Inside very intimate and outside refreshing and view is nice. Costumer service is great. Even though it got busy later on the manager, Marion, check on us making sure everything good. I love places who have great costumer service, it feels like they care for you and what you pay is worth it. Can't wait to go back in here!!

Yelp
Fancy, without being gaudy. Great cocktails, excellent service, and cozy. Parking is $25, but if you go to the bar they will validate you down to $15. Not cheap overall, but a great place for a special feeling quiet drink after dinner with my wife.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time with friends here tonight. Loved the ambiance and the drinks. Super friendly staff. Both the interiors and the outdoor areas are gorgeous. The fireplace in the room adds a lot of character and the two sofas in front of the fireplace are the best spots to sit and enjoy your drinks and finger foods. The outdoor area is perfect for warm summer night and it has great views to enjoy. Both areas are first come first serve, on weekends it's hard to find a spot to sit. Overall great location, great service and great cocktails. We will be back again.

Yelp
I've heard of the Langham many times, and for years, I have been trying to muster up the courage to head there. See, I understand that the Tap Room at the Langham is on the fancy side and I was a bit nervous about fitting in. But, I got a new dress (black velvet - Aooogah!) and wanted to dress up a little, so I swallowed my fears and headed there. Arrived on Friday at around 8:15pm and all available seats were taken - bummer. I would have loved to sit at one of the seats at the bar, but pro tip for next time - get there early - before the music starts! I stood at the bar for a bit, while I listened to the lovely Piano music, but in all honesty, it wasn't what I was expecting. NOT BAD! But, I like a little twang to my jazz. I love a piano moment, but it was Friday night and I wanted something a bit livelier. Next time I visit, I'll keep this in mind. The bartenders were very attentive and all were super nice, this helped calm my fears a bit, and made great drinks. I had an old fashioned + The "Henry Meets Hemingway". Both were great and ran me about ~$55 bucks with Tip. I will definitely be back to the Langham. It was such a beautiful and swanky place.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
It's a nice place to grab a drink and chat with friends. It's more for just relaxing, not really for dancing or meeting new people. That said, the server was super attentive and gave us the best service.

Yelp
The Tap Room is a great bar inside the Langham Hotel. My favorite feature was the outdoor seating with excellent heat lamps - we were able to enjoy an amazing evening comfortably even when the temps where in the 50s. The views were great. Drinks came out strong as well so keep that in mind! Whether staying at the hotel or in the area, I recommend.

Yelp
My favorite drink spot in all of pasadena.historic landmark. Westworld on hbo was taped inside the tap room. Gorgeous chandeliers everywhere. Made me want to sing Sia's Chandelier. They now have little gummy bears on stick for your garnish . Best place in all of Pasadena .

Yelp
Ambience is great. It is located inside the Langham Hotel in Pasadena. They have a live Jazz piano & bass every Friday & Saturday night until 11pm. It open till 1am. It is open seating. Nice dark comfy seating. Some at high tables & chairs at the bar area. They do have an outdoor space as well. Service wise - they were friendly and nice. Valet is $10 after validation at the Tap room. Food & Drinks - I've included the menu for small bites and their drinks. we ordered a cheese app & a tuna tartare- both great. We got 2 glasses of red wine and 2 Don Julio Anejo shots. The bill came out to over $200 with tip. It is a very classy nice place. It is a date spot. I definitely recommend it.

Yelp
Great nightcap option at the Langham! We were staying at the Langham for a celebration. The Royce was not open so we went elsewhere for dinner but wanted to spend a little money at the hotel. They have a nice selection of cocktails specials or whatever you want at the bar. It is a nice hotel so the prices are commensurate with that. We sat outside, self seating. The seats were plus and gave a nice view of the horseshoe lawn and the LA skyline. Even on a Monday the were parties of people at the other sections of the outside bar dining area. We also shared a cheese plate. It had some cheeses, fresh and dried fruits. We also got some "free" bar nuts as well. Be aware for dining you can get discounted valet parking. The hotel is valet only so instead of $20 it's only $8.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great place to grab a drink and unwind, look no further than the tap room! This place is an absolute gem, with an incredible selection of drinks and a fantastic ambiance that's sure to put you at ease. The drinks themselves are truly something special. Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or something a little more offbeat, you're sure to find something here that will satisfy your taste buds. The bartenders really know their stuff, and they're always happy to help you find something that suits your preferences. But what really sets the tap room apart is the atmosphere. The decor is warm and inviting, with cozy seating areas that are perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after a long day. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to read a book or a lively space to chat and mingle, you'll find it here. Overall, I can't recommend the tap room highly enough. It's the perfect spot to grab a drink, relax, and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. If you're looking for a top-notch drinking experience, this is definitely the place to be!

Yelp
This is a cute bar with a chill ambiance inside the Langham hotel. I enjoyed my time here talking to my friends, but the drinks were just okay. I tried the yuzu spritz which lacked the unique yuzu taste. I wish it had more of the citrusy tartness. It was also just quite expensive ($21) for what it was.
google avatar

Yelp
My recent visit to the Tap Room was disappointing due to a negative encounter with a bartender. Their insistence on seeing my form of payment before attending to me and my friend left a sour taste in my mouth. The lack of customer service overshadowed the promising atmosphere and craft beer selection. I would recommend considering alternative options for a more enjoyable experience. They treated there caucasian patrons with respect and favor. Never asked them for a form of payment before rendering service

Yelp
Went on a Sunday night and saw Robert Turner play solo on the piano. The ambience was comfortable and chill. Our group had a beer each and shared the truffle fries- I plan on going back to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
What a terrific location and venue. The lounge has amazing views and smells from the many flowers which happened to be in bloom. Great drinks, phenomenal service. What a great place to relax.

Yelp
I'm usually one to give an honest fair review and always constructive should there be room for improvement. Unfortunately The Tap Room bar service and Langham Pasadena Director of Food and Beverage have acted so poorly from a recent incident of what was suppose be an engagement celebration, has turned into a miserable experience by any hospitality group I've come across. The bar tender decided to take it on her own judgment and advise all guests the bar was hosted by us, of which we we never gave any consent or even informed of. Unfortunately this left us picking up the tab for several guests that left early and to our surprise drinks left on our credit card. We were also charged a cake cutting service fee which I find silly since it was mini Bundt cakes. There was no service to even pass out our dessert. Langham's response was to collect from the other people ourselves our lost money and that their cake service fee is for any dessert brought in. Impressive how an establishment such as Langham is unable to own up to a massive error on their side with zero consent from the customer as well as provide such a lack of service, nickel and diming their customers. What makes matters worse is we tried to contact Langham weeks before multiple attempts to properly arrange our visit to receive no response and promises to follow up (which never happened). Unfortunately we're out a few hundred dollars due to a mistake Langham made. Sad to say but integrity and customer service are severely lacking at the Langham Pasadena. Rest assured we won't be back and careful when providing a credit card! Who knows who/what they decide to charge.

Yelp
We are spending one night at the langham and wanted to fit in a drink at the pretty bar. We sat outside on a beautiful deck and waited about 15 min for server to help us. Got our drinks - we were hoping to get some nuts and snacks we saw on other tables but no one came out and offered. We waiting for another 10-25 when done to find a served/ we asked for bill and to be put on our room. 20 min later they brought a bill not on our room so tool it back to correct then brought again and it was a bill for another table for $160!! I bet they got nuts!! Lol

Yelp
Visited the Tap Room on October 8th for a rare night out as new parents - and what followed was almost farcical. Ordered a cheese plate and fries. The cheese plate took 45 minutes. The fries didn't arrive. I requested an update on the fries twice. After 45 minutes the server said 'they must not have put the order through' - so re-ordered. After an hour and fifteen minutes passed, some cold fries eventually arrived. They must have just sat on the side. After paying our bill we were about to leave when another hot plate of fries arrived. Great. The real issue here was, however, the server managed to charge my AMEX Platinum card successfully, but then (we later discovered, as it was so dark) gave us someone else's AMEX card. It wasn't until later the next day when I went to pay for gas that I realised I had another guest's AMEX. Disaster. *But that's not all folks* - what I can only assume is a deliberate criminal act, today (October 31st), I received *another* AMEX charge from the Langham, this time not showing up as the Tap Room, like the first charge, but the actual Hotel And Spa. AMEX states that the card number was manually entered - so it seems an awful lot like whoever had my card for the days that they did, noted down the card number, and used it illicitly. So a combination of incompetence or suspected criminality - I'm not keen to go back any time soon.

Yelp
This bar is located at the back of the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and this bar holds up! If you're looking for an intimate setting and the opportunity to have a conversation with little to any distractions, this bar is it. The only distraction is how gorgeous the bar and the outside venue is. The food is delicious - well priced and very tasty. The happy hour is good for sharing. I had the tuna tartare and ceviche. The bartender was always very attentive to my needs. I would come back here maybe for like a stay cation.
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Dark, cozy, swanky bar in a classic one-of-a-kind hotel. Comfortable elegant seating on the patio. Bring your big boy wallet, $22 or a martini, $20 for a glass of house wine and $14 for a beer... we ain't in Texas anymore Toto. We were there maybe two hours, parking was $16 plus valet tip. The service should have been better for the price.

Yelp
Omg the drinks......the best Old Fashion cocktail I ever had. I don't say that lightly. Old fashions are my go to, but this one just made its way to my favorite spot. It's complex and well balanced. The service was also amazing. Also try the spicy tuna tarter, it was so good.

Yelp
We had a great time at The Tap Room. We actually came in because our room was not ready. The hotel gave us a complimentary voucher, it was almost $100! That is a plus for the Langham! We didn't have food, we had drinks. I am not an alcohol drinker, but the bartender made me a yummy mocktail. I forgot what it was, but it was delicious. Definitely hitting up The Tap Room for another one of those. We didn't have any food, but will try the food next time.

Yelp
Great ambience with live music and cozy fireplace sitting. The cocktails are great and the food is yummy. Highly recommend it if you ever and Pasadena.!

Yelp
My new favorite bar. Dark. Swanky. Mature. We ended our girls night in Pasadena. It was the perfect classy ending to a night of dinner, drinks....and more drinks. Service was quick and efficient. Music was classic and nice. The restrooms are magnificent. Reminded me of the Penninsula and the Red O, where the restrooms alone show you a good time. I will be back!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came last night around 9pm. We sat on the patio. Dog friendly place. It's a cozy place and we will return! However, the lighting is very dim. I had to use my cell phone light to read the menu. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and the truffle fries. We had to ask for more chips because the order only came with like 3 chips. The shrimp is whole- so odd to see in a ceviche appetizer. I would have liked for the shrimp to have been cut in smaller pieces but it was delicious. The truffle fries were also tasty. I chose this venue because of the live music. There was a pianist last night but unfortunately, you can't hear the music from the outside. Service was amazing. Valet parking $8

Yelp
One of my favorite places to chill and get a drink in Pasadena. The patio area is perfect with a nice view of the lawn. Drinks are expenses but this is a 5 star historic hotel so I guess it's expected. I haven't tried any of the appetizers but the cheesecake was great. Only downside is they open at 4pm and they are closed Sunday and Monday.
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
We came to here the jazz pianist John Proulx play. He's one of the best. Worth hearing. I wish the bar would let him play out more. I felt the costumers didn't understand what they were getting. The couple next to us came to take a room just to be here while the table next to them were just screaming. :( the bar didn't do anything until Asked. :/. They have great drinks and probably one of the best burgers in town! So yummy! Service was not the best but it's a cocktail bar. But then again it's The Langham (one of La's most famous old school landmark hotels)

Yelp
An exquisite bar lounge, with delectable small plates, innovative cocktails and prohibition speakeasy swanky without needing a secret code word to enter is exactly what you will find at The Tap Room. You have an option of sitting both indoors for an ambient setting or outdoors on the patio with a lovely view. Today since it was very hot and windy we opted to relax indoors where we can also enjoy the basketball game from our seats. When we arrived the bar had only been open for an hour and was not busy. Within seconds we were greeted and had water and drinks ordered. Soon after however the bar became swamped with convention guest and it was as though we were no longer a priority or important as all hands on deck were tending to the group guests. It took about 15mins for another server to check on us who was very polite and friendly. Unfortunately due to no communication we weren't aware she was taking over and would be our server as the gentleman who had first assisted us never returned. He did walk past us multiple times and smiled but never approached us again nor inform us someone else would be assisting us. In result w waited roughly an hour 10 before we were able to place our food order and that was well after they were taking care of all their group guest who arrived after us. When it comes to the drinks and food everything was absolutely incredible and delicious. I frequently visit speakeasys and the cocktails were right on deck with being a time piece cocktail selection. My favorite item was their unique spin on their old fashion , their sazerac, and their goyza. Everything busted full of mouth watering flavor it had one wanting more . If your not one to drink alcohol upon request your able to request mocktails with is an excellent alternative to those who opt out of the booze. Overall the Tap Room has a great selection to gather to everyone's needs and despite the miscommunication delivered superb service. Parking is valet only and we were able to get validation for $10 which is a pretty great price, so keep that in mind if your driving up for the day to visit like we did. The hotel itself is exquisite and reasonably priced so we will be returning for a full experience next time. I did love how everything was very accomodating for ada/wheelchair accessibility. A major bonus for me was the handicap stall in the restroom next to the bar had its own sink as well which made washing up easier. If your in pasadena I highly recommend checking here out.

Yelp
Great lounge and bar for a date night - went on a Saturday night with my boyfriend and we loved it! They had live music which created a nice atmosphere. Drinks are pricey but nothing unusual for nice venues in LA. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Currently in the Tap Room and the bar staff couldn't be more unmotivated. After I sat for some time, the woman behind the bar finally informed me that I had to come up and order there. After provided the drink, she was on her phone and completely obvious that folks would maybe want a refill. Didn't get their names, but for the two women behind the bar, clearly customer service isn't a priority tonight. I've stayed here numerous times and have never felt customer priority lacking so severely until now. Unfortunate!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday evening a few weeks ago to meet friends. Due to the cold weather, the indoor rooms were packed. We luckily found seats by the fireplace and tried to get settled. The server was friendly and took our orders shortly after we got seated. The vibe is really nice: dark, moody, fireplaces, large chairs and live piano playing! Loved it. We ordered for some truffle fries and it took over 30 minutes for them to arrive. No apologies. No comps, nothing. For a place as bougey as the Langham, I was shocked we didn't get comped for those. The drinks are indeed tasty but incredibly pricey. Valet was increased from $6 to $8 with restaurant validation. If I come back, it will be during the spring/summer so I can enjoy the outdoor seating areas.

Yelp
This place is a nice vibe. The service is impeccable! And the Bianchi Brut, Prosecco was by far some of the best I've tasted, clean and crisp. The Mac and cheese was interesting to say the least. It had a hot Cheeto crust which was surprising for such a stand-up place I'd give the food a 6/10. Id come back for the great customer service and the drinks

Yelp
We used to love going to this local high-end bar located inside The Langham Hotel. Our overall review is to point out how this place changed for the worse. The service was subpar, entertainment was boring, alcoholic drinks seems to be watered down and appetizers were horrible. Not worth your time and money.

Yelp
We stayed at one of the cottages at the Langham, and we figured the quickest and easiest way to get dinner was the Tap Room. They didn't answer the phone, so we had to walk up there and order at the bar, which took about ten minutes. We decided to grab a table outside while we waited for our order. We sat at that dirty table for about 20 minutes, so I bussed it myself. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which came as a layer of shrimp on the bottom of the plate, without chips, and the tuna tartar, which was supposed to come with puffed rice. The rice was literally two clumps of ten grains. I thought they forgot the rice until I crunched into the tiny hard pieces with my teeth. I thought, this can't possibly be the puffed rice! When we got the food back to the cottage, I almost walked back to return it, but I just didn't have the energy as we were visiting a friend at Helford Hospital. I took a bite or two and decided to just eat the Doritos I had in the room. Horrible service. Horrible food. Order room service instead.

Yelp
We used to LOVE to come to the Tap Room for a quiet evening of adult only time. The food was great, the drinks were great, the service was great, and the ambiance was great. Now? The new menu is awful! Seriously, there wasn't a single thing that we wanted to order! Bring back your awesome tacos and sliders! Especially for those who have dietary concerns, there is little to nothing to eat on this new menu. Since we couldn't order any food we were cautious with the alcohol that we were ordering. It was clear that the server wasn't interested in serving us or checking in since we weren't spending much (had planned on spending $150 or so before we saw the new menu). There was a small group that was being extremely rude and crass (lots of cursing and VERY detailed explanations of their recent sexcapades). We wanted to move, but there weren't any other seats. The servers clearly heard the conversations and did nothing to temper them. The Langham is supposed to be a classy place - if we wanted to hear that kind of language we'd go watch an X-rated movie. The management definitely should have stepped in! Sadly, our go to spot before covid is no more now that they have reopened. We'll check back later to see if they at least got their act together with the menu.

Yelp
They do not sell or have a place really to smoke a cigar. Thanks for a waste of time and now have to wait to get my car from the valet. They should really take down this from the website. Things got even worst when I had to wait for Valet to bring my car back. Over 30 mins. Place sucks.

Yelp
The Tap Room is where I discovered I don't really like Wagyu beef. Not usually one to sit outside, for some reason, I was tempted to probably since it wasn't raining (for once this year) and it was a beautiful view. Also, we weren't exposed to a busy street or a lot of people, so I figured might as well take advantage. Most of the seating was taken up by one or two people; I stayed to the far end but had no choice but to face the rest of the patio (I'm usually the anti-social one who will face away but did not have that option here). As expected these days, everyone was on their phones anyway. Since I was too late for lunch at The Terrace, that is how I ended up over at The Tap Room. Hungrier than I should have been, I ordered fries (specifically, Parmesan dusted) and the Wagyu sliders. The service was initially very good. I specified how I wanted the beef prepared, and one of the first things she did after I had my order was ask if it was done correctly. Unfortunately it was not and as much as I hate sending food back, I was not about to waste $17 either. I felt bad but she said she was the same way when it comes to meat, and in the meantime, I killed a large majority of the fries (portion for these was huge). After about 15 minutes, the sliders were back, and they were definitely better. Looking around though, the place is somewhat dated. Faint stains on the upholstery (although I admit we ARE outside with various food and drink) but it's something one can't help but notice. Although she arrived after I was already there, another guests sitting down my way had leftovers neglecting to be picked up for the duration of my time there. That area was not cleaned up even by the time I was vacating. Server checked in a couple times after, forgot my requested water refill but once reminded was right on it. Nearing 5p, I guess staff changed where I had my check but sat a good 10 minutes or so where no one bothered to come back. I had to go inside at the bar-where she now was-and get it taken care of there. It was becoming busier as it was getting later, so I knew it was time for me to get the heck out. Although this wasn't the best time, I did enjoy strolling the property, and would be willing to try The Terrace on my next visit out here. One thing it does have going for it is that you feel removed from the typical Los Angeles scene here, and I mean that in a good way.
