"The Tattooed Moose serves some of the best bar food around, and corn dogs and duck fat fries are only $2.50 during happy hour. A 16-ounce can of PBR will only set you back $1.50 and shots of Jameson are $4. Happy hour runs Monday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m." - Erin Perkins

"This classic dive bar is something a hungover bachelor party dreams of. Duck is the word at Tattooed Moose — the french fries are cooked using duck fat and the protein is the star of Mike’s Famous Duck Club. Reasonable prices and an extensive beer list make this dive worth a visit." - Parker Milner

I was in search of something local and happened to come across this lovely gem while in Charleston. Many items are homemade! I ordered the pickles for starters, and wow, they're full of flavors - sour, salty, and heat! They know how to pickle! Then, I had to try to have a lucky sandwich and homemade pork rinds. The kimchi in the sandwich was out of this world and also homemade! Get out! I was accidentally served the duck fat fries, which were delicious! The sandwich was a bit juicy, so it made the bottom of the bun a bit soggy. I'm so glad I stopped in for appetizing southern cuisine. The service was excellent and prompt. I tried the grapefruit radler. The encouraged graffiti is fun. The taxidermy is interesting. I would recommend this restaurant! Thanks, Tattooed Moose!

The Tattooed Moose is a fantastic lunch spot! We had the fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and the Duck Club sandwich—both were delicious and packed with flavor. The outdoor seating was great, and it looks like they have a space for live music at night, which adds to the cool, laid-back vibe. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was exactly what you’d want for a relaxed meal. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Park Circle area!

We found ourselves in the position of seeking a dog-friendly location. When we arrived with our golden retriever we saw two other families with pooches! We were asking by an employee right away if we wanted a bowl for water for our pet. We had the duck club and the smoked chicken BLT - delicious food. Also the duck fat fries, which were incredible. A great stop along the way before we sought out The Righteous Gemstones filming locations. Great service. Thanks everybody!

Great atmosphere. I loved the various taxidermy animals as well as the tables that you can write on with a Sharpie. We got the Mike’s famous duck club with fries and the Lucky #1 sub with Brunswick stew. All of the food was unique and amazing. We will definitely come back for more!

To start we had a coffee stout to go with the 30min wait for a table. Buzy little joint! We ordered the Duck Club sandwich (a melt in your mouth 4 napkin samy) with pork rinds the garnish is worth mentioning homemade dill pickles & spicey pickled green tomatoes 👍👍 & a side of Mexican Steet Corn (garlicky buttery goodness) Our server was great, he said portions were portions large and splittable & very knowledgeable about the menu. This was a "Triple D" spot & it didn't disappoint.

Eating at the Tattooed Moose was a happy accident. I was looking for places to eat in Downtown Charleston after hours and every place either only took reservations or was a bar with only chips to eat. I came across the Tattooed Moose as it was my last resort after scouring multiple bars and the Waffle House... this place not only pleasantly surprised me but far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I entered this place, all of the staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. The atmosphere is very lively and vibrant, yet slightly unhinged with the amount of taxidermy on the walls... After placing a quick drink order (Shirley Temples), my brother and I were given sharpies to draw whatever we wanted to on the tables while waiting. Then we ordered our appetizers and entrees, and they came quite quickly. I ordered Mike's Famous Duck club, pork rinds, and fries, and it is so delicious! The texture of duck is slightly greasy, but the toasted bread balances it as it soaks up most of the fat juices. The flavor is well balanced and has a decent aftertaste. My only criticism is that the sandwich was slightly big and hard to hold without getting messy, but I was starving at this point and didn't care much. I definitely want to come back and try the Lucky 1 Sub. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

During our family vacations, we always try to hit up a place from Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives - my son found The Tattooed Moose. The food was the best that we had on our entire trip! For apps we got duck fat fries and their homemade pickles - both delish! Lunch we had burgers, the Thanksgiving Sammy (MUST try!), and kids chicken tenders w/ fries - everything was top notch. And my kids loved "signing the wall". Highly recommend.
