The Tavern Kitchen and Bar

We only stayed in Aspen for one night and I’m so glad we chose Tavern! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Over at the bar, Jordan and Kellen mixed up some of the best drinks we’ve had in a long time. Kellen and Jordan are highly recommended — they’re both so nice, attentive, and made the experience even better. Definitely the kind of people who make you feel welcome and taken care of. And a special thank you to Ashley, the owner—she personally came over to check on us, helped out, and made sure our experience was unforgettable. It’s rare to see an owner so hands-on and genuinely caring. Even though our time in Aspen was short, Tavern made it truly memorable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

We drove 4 hours into Aspen and were just looking for a good meal after the long trip — only to find out the kitchen had just closed. But then, something amazing happened… The owner, Shley, came through like a true hero. She went out of her way, talked to the kitchen staff, and made sure we were taken care of. So much kindness and hospitality — truly above and beyond! Huge shoutout to the kitchen legends Javi and Sergio for firing up some delicious food even after hours. You guys rock! And let’s not forget the bar crew — absolutely 🔥. Super friendly, energetic, and just a vibe. Kellen kept checking in on us, making conversation, sharing stories — it felt like we were regulars. And Jordan really stepped up and delivered top-notch service. The whole team made us feel incredibly welcome. We’re honestly just sad this place isn’t closer to home — because we’d be back again and again. If you’re anywhere near Aspen, don’t miss The Tavern. This is what hospitality should feel like. 🙌

Fun place for families - kids menu, arcade games, foosball, and a pool table. Fathers can watch sports, kids play games and moms have a drink in peace :) We brought my son's friends here for his birthday and they had a good time. The pub food is good and reasonably priced. $10 kids menu. The place is lively and laid back. Winter time it's popular for apres ski.

This place has great vibes! Food was delicious and the service was friendly. Absolutely HOUSED the sliders. We also drank a lot for cheap.

Went here for lunch right as it opened. There was literally one server. Ordered our food and an hour later we are still waiting for it (although the nachos came out after 45 min). Ordered a coke and never got it (had to ask for it 30min later). The restaurant isn’t busy, not sure why it’s taking so long to cook the food or why the server is not attentive to any of the tables. Very disappointed. Also, it feels dingy and dirty and the bathroom was obviously not clean from the night before. Only gave two stars because the nachos were pretty tasty.

Great atmosphere with live music, pool table, etc. The menu is perfect for a family back from a full day of skiing. Very friendly staff and good food and drinks. We also very much enjoyed the country live music.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We were in town for the Up in the Sky festival and went to grab a drink and a bite before and after the show - Kel and Travis were a DREAM! As a celiac, I felt very safe eating here and the “normal” chicks in my party were also so impressed! The service, the vibe, the prices. It was all so awesome! I mean look at this dang potatoe!

My chicken sandwich was great. Cool spot to watch sports after skiing Snowmass. My 5 year old daughter rejected the pepperoni pizza. But really really liked the French fries. Wings were B+/A-.

The neighborhood dive bar with music, games, and a stage. You're all set for a rowdy time.

Walked in on a summer weekend as one of 5 tables. Great service and food. Decent prices for a ski town. Would go back if in the area longer.

Super bizarre experience. Came in with my friend and we were the only customers there. Were greeted by five different people, sat down... and no one brought us menus or acknowledged us for ten minutes. Guy brought menus, didn't bring water. We were ready to order and waited for ten minutes without acknowledgement. The bartender was eating food at the bar. The other guy seemed to see we were ready, made eye contact with us and then then disappeared. So we left. Very bizarre. The place was also really run down looking. The first chair I sat on felt like it was going to break. Glad we didn't eat here.

Lively fun dinner. Full bar. Fish tacos were tasty. TVs and games entertain the guests. Our server was attentive.

Three women walk into a bar... to watch the CU game. It's 5 minutes or so to game time and we ask if the game will be on the TV in front of our table. The bartender yells, "It has to kick off first" and a patron 2nds that emotion by parroting the same. We say, "Yeah, we get it just want to make sure you'll have the game on, geeeezo!" Wow, thanks for man-spraining that to us. We order a drink and look over the menu (the waiter and fella who gave us our menu were perfectly lovely, by the way.) Then, we decide to not eat and just leave so go to bar to pay for drinks. The same bartender says "What can I do for you little lady?" Condescending much? Wow. Obviously women aren't important patrons here. Ladies beware and let them know by not bothering to go in. Want to emphasize our waiter was very nice.

NEW LOCAL SPOT!!! The services is amazing! They stay open late! And they are the friendliest people. Live band and good choices of food! Need I say more!??

Wandered in here (there are not a lot of options for lunch in Snowmass in summer time). The place was empty other than two people at the bar. The service was lackluster. Both menu items ordered did not come as described in menu. Just not much effort going on here, felt like they were doing us a favor.

95% of menu items were not available when we went. Ended up ordering what was just meh....tried the next evening. presented with a very short bar menu only Not a family restaurant. Have been informed late nights have alot of undesirable activities. party place. not restaurant.

Really wish there was an option for negative stars. Went in there and there were 4 tables occupied. We sat there for 20 minutes and my wife went up to the bar to make sure they saw us. The bartender replied "I'm all alone I will get there" which is understandable. However he proceeded to drink beer behind the bar for the next 20 minutes and never came over. As a previous server, I have been in the weeds before but have never acted like this. This guy should be re trained on customer service and be entered in an alcohol rehabilitation program.

Our crew was hungry and needed to eat fast. This place met our needs. Burgers were solid. Service was mediocre. But overall it was a positive experience.

The best place to spend your time while in Aspen/Snowmass - we stopped in for Thursday night football the bar tenders was amazing and the owner was one of the coolest people we met while on our vacation. They have a hook game and bet me a free drink in 3 attempts I lost and next thing I knew a free drink was in route. Coolest staff best food amazing environment- this place holds the tour h for iconic Snowmass.
