"The Tea is renowned for its high-quality tea and fresh jellies. The shop sources tea leaves from farms in China, while its Uji ceremonial matcha is imported weekly from Japan. Each cup is brewed to order, and all fruit drinks feature fresh fruits and house-made purees crafted from real fruit. Standout menu items include the honey lemon with jasmine tea jelly, the crème brûlée Thai tea with a torched top, and the mango pomelo sago smoothie." - Kristie Hang

The toasted Oreo Milk from here was sweet. I enjoyed it. I like the fact that they can make your teas less sweet. I appreciate the service here 🙏. Thank you. The passion Orange Green Tea Aloe with 30% sugar is perfect and tasty 😍. The hot jasmine green tea with honey was good. I enjoyed it.

Vietnamese coffee was 💯 milk tea with boba was great too and just what you'd expect from a boba shop. More preferable to Hey Tea or Must Have down the street imo, but that's just me~

At my first visit I got the jasmine milk tea and I was hooked! I was already craving to go back again before I finished my drink. I enjoy the lightly roasted tea flavor with no bitterness yet sweetly complemented by the creaminess. A great solid option, even considering what other options are located in the area. The mellow milk tea was good but I thought it would be a little more roast-y. Although the color of the milk tea is dark, it was rather light on the tea/roast-y flavor so just know that. Very open and spacious boba shop with clean, modern interior. Seating is quite limited for the size of the space, as most of the floor space is actually devoted to the barista work station located in the center. You order at the very front and pick up your drink at the very back. Indoor seating are wooden picnic-y tables. It may be going for the nature-y tea fields vibe but clashes imo and is not at all comfortable for long-term cafe vibes studying. That side of the plaza is still under some construction so parking right in front of the shop is limited but you can park right to the left because its all the same plaza and there's plenty of parking spaces at all times of everyday really.

I was in the San Gabriel valley and wanted to try a new boba place. I have heard some people online mention about this boba place and decided to give it a try. It was amazing! The honey boba gave just enough sweetness and chewiness. I usually order sweetness level to be 25-30%. So with the honey boba, it was a tad bit sweet. The Jasmine milk tea with pudding and boba was delicious. There were other milk alternatives if one did not want the non dairy creamer. (Soy, oat, organic whole milk) for additional $1. We also ordered the mango pomelo sago and dragonfruit açaí which was delicious as well. Prices were quite steep, but the quality was there. I can taste the jasmine in my tea. Parking was quite difficult as there were only 3 non handicap spaces right in front of the store. It will probably be best to part on the street or in the shopping center next to it. Service was great!

Came here for the grand opening and stood in line for 3 hours LOL. They need to do a better job of enforcing the line. I saw these two high school boys ask another group of boys that were waiting in the front if they could back-cut them. (just for a free swag bag, how lame). Maybe distribute the ticket numbers in the beginning to prevent cutting. A lot of reviews say that the wait time for drinks is long so I was worried about that. But when I went in I waited no more than 10 minutes for my drinks. I had the No 18 Milk Tea and I liked how delicate and aromatic it tasted. The boba was perfect too. I decided to also try my boyfriend's orange passionfruit tea and it was super refreshing. However I did tell them I wanted a jasmine tea and they rang it up as a jasmine milk tea....

They have a self-ordering kiosk but you can also order at the counter. We got the matcha matcha blend (6.95), matcha oreo (6.50), and the hojicha (6.00). The drinks took around 5 minutes to be ready and they have a nice counter for picking up your order. The interior only looks pretty chic and the design is very modern. They have a couple of tables to sit at as well. The drinks were alright. I got the matcha matcha blend with less sugar but it was still on the sweeter side. It got harder to finish it as I drank more because it got sweeter. My friend who got the hojicha got less sweet as well and it was also too sweet that she could not drink much and had to add more milk at home. For the matcha oreo, my friend said it tasted too much like oreo and was too sweet. So, I think the drinks are a bit on the sweeter side here. The cup size is pretty big though but the drinks are on the pricier side. The drinks were just overall okay and I would probably try another boba place if I was in the area and not here.

I've had the TEA several times now, this most recent visit being on Xmas that just passed, and I'm convinced this is my new fave spot for a Viet Coffee. I will say that I've only had the Seasalt Cream OG and not the straight up Viet Coffee, but their take on it here is my favorite so far. If you're like me and have had an abundance of Viet Coffees than you have probably seen this common variation with the seasalt cream on top, so the concept is not new, they just do it well here. I like that the foam itself is not too thick like I've seen at some places, so that you can actually really stir it into your drink to evenly distribute the salted foam. The coffee has always been strong enough so that the cream does not overtake the base flavor you want in a good Viet Coffee. Oh and they used crushed ice which for me makes a good Viet Coffee, just that much better. They are located on Atlantic, right across from Ralphs, and adjacent to Mar Center, so you should be able to find parking in that lot. But just FYI, those spots at the top of the structure are really narrow. There are a few spots directly in front of the TEA if you get lucky. As I mentioned, my most recent visit was on Xmas, and the staff were all very friendly, especially the girl taking orders. I feel like she might be the owner/manager. She just had a real personal demeanor which is always much appreciated. There is a nice green aesthetic inside and even though this is there singular location they seem to really have their branding on point with their name, logo, cups, etc. The inside is a longer rectangular shape with the employee work area taking up much of the space. There are a few tables at the front. With the endless choices of drink spots in the area, be sure you work the TEA into your mix. Cheers!

Yelp
I've been obsessed with this place I've only tried their Mango Coconut drink bc it's SO good. Get it 60% sweet and it's PERFECT The shop also smells so fragrant with fresh tea brewing My new go to boba tea shop in 626

Anthony M.

Yelp
Drinks were pretty standard. To be frank, I did get basic drinks, the Toasted Thai Milk Tea with Boba and Toasted Brown Sugar Oat Milk with Boba--both solid but nothing special. The boba was great, nice and chewy, and the tea reminded me of Quickly or Honey Boba, which is nostalgic but not exactly life changing. The "toasted" was subtle, which I appreciated, but not enough to make me want to reorder. Wish it maybe was the highlight or dominating taste so I can appreciate something different as we all continue to chase new and exciting boba and appreciate innovation. I originally wanted the Tie Guan Yin, but it wasn't available. I might give their coffee a shot next time when I'm around. Location-wise, they have their own parking in front and more spots in the back, which is nice. But the pick-up counter? It's hilariously far from where you order. Lol.

Yelp
First time trying out The Tea. Very nice place and it's very cozy. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee, milk tea and tea type drinks. Very warm and welcoming vibe inside The Tea. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by three sweet young ladies at the counter. All three provided excellent customer service. Yaqi the cashier informed us of their coffee and drink menus. She told us which drinks were better served cold and which ones were better served hot. Connie our barista brought us our drinks. We ordered the Creme Brûlée OG Iced and Sesame Cream OG Iced. Both coffee have Vietnamese coffee as their base. Loved our both our coffee drinks. Creme Brûlée OG Iced was perfect. Not too sweet and the Creme Brûlée compliments the espresso well. Same goes for the Sesame Cream OG Iced. The espresso blends well with the sesame cream taste. However, maybe lessen the thickness of the sesame cream for a smoother taste. Thank you Connie and Yaqi for our delicious drinks and excellent customer service. We can't wait to comeback and try other coffee, milk tea and tea type drinks on The Tea's menu. Will come back on the weekend to try their Seasalt Creme OG Iced. I'm sure that's going to be good.

Yelp
The Tea is in my opinion one of the better tea spots in San Gabriel Valley. I discovered this place from my co-worker who frequents this place. The service is friendly and you can either order in person, or through the kiosk. The location is quite spacious and clean with a few available seating tables. I usually order the Oolong Milk Tea as it is my favorite. The Uji Matcha is also pretty tasty too! I'll definitely be back to try more tasty beverages!

Mitchell L.

Yelp
Ordered the Coconut Taro on 1/18/25. It wasn't too busy around 4:00 pm on a Saturday. Service was quick and you can order through a screen. The coconut taro was delicious. I got 100% sweet and it wasn't overly sweet. The taro tasted really good and fresh. It mixed well with the coconut to create a perfect blend. I might have found my goto for taro blended drinks. Right now they are offering buy 4 get 1 free.

Yelp
12/18/24 Our crew decided today was boba day so we ordered through Ubereats (The Tea). It's not my usual to order boba or these types of drinks but it's something we're doing as a group, why not? I like taro based drinks so I went with fresh taro puréed milk tea with brown sugar boba. This was delicious! It's a little bit on the rich & creamy side, thankfully I ordered it 60 % sweetened. My colleague got the smashed avocado. This was also very rich & creamy. You can really taste the avocado!. Someone else arranged the ordering so that was easy. This was a great treat & a quick break. Would like to order these once in a while. Be careful, could be habit-forming

Debbie W.

Yelp
This is now my go to spot for tea in the Monterey park area. Their teas aren't overly expensive even for their signatures orders. They are more on the sweet side I've noticed. Wait time is never long and we've never had an issue with finding parking in the front. Tieguanyin Milk Tea 60% sugar - 5/5, sugar level is still a bit sweeter than I would have expected. The tea is stronger and bolder than Golden Milk Tea, I think bc of the Oolong, so I'd say the Golden MT is more refreshing Coconut Taro 30% sugar - 5/5, still pretty sweet but it may be bc of the taro paste. There is already coconut pudding at the bottom which is delicious! So I'm glad I didn't put any other toppings. This is one of my favorite drinks, and I usually don't like taro!

Leeza D.

Yelp
I've been to this shop a couple of times and they have a very good selection of drinks and toppings. I've tried the milk teas, the matchas, the coconut taro, and the fruit teas. Very tasty. I love sago as a topping and they have it. I live in OC, but when I'm up this way, I would totally stop by. There is an open kitchen concept also so you get to see the employees make your drink. This is a very strong contender to becoming one of my favorite boba shops. Parking is easy now since many of the storefronts have not been leased yet.

Anh L.

Yelp
Best tea in the area in my opinion. Legit ceremonial matcha. Sweetness level is up to you. And you know when an asian says "not too sweet" its a compliment. I need to save money, time to make matcha at home; but when i'm not, i'm here for a pick me up.

Travis P.

Yelp
This is a pretty decent tea spot located in Monteray Park. We ended up getting the Toasted Oreo Milk, and it was good but also nothing special. It tasted like if you took oreo and dunked it into milk. The toasted part on top was tasty though. Our drink plastic top came out to be pretty funny looking but overall this was a pretty decent spot to get a drink.

Michael P.

Yelp
Drove on by to grab some coffee and the fact that there was a good amount of reviews. I ended up going with the sea salt OG coffee. I'm not sure what type of cream they are using here but it was super thick and heavy. I've noticed that type of trend going around SoCal with the heavy creams and have mixed feelings about it, but it's trending! Coffee was strong and done Vietnamese style. I tried mixing up the heavy sea salt cream into my drink but boy it would just not dissipate entirely into my drink. Flavors here are strong. Might come back to try some tea next time. I've read other reviews about the staff here and it's rather funny! My cashier was definitely a new trainee and ordering directly with the cashier was entertaining! They have a digital self order next to the cashier as well, hence why people complain about the staff attitude. I think they need a better system for picking up your drinks at the front instead of having it tucked away all the way by the back wall. I was a little confused when picking up the order. Glad the old Superco building is being revived by The Tea and other establishments. Stop by and give it a go, don't think you can go wrong here for tea and coffee!

Nina W.

Yelp
I dunno if I ordered the wrong drinks or something but I got: -wintermelon lemon aiyu: Ok drink, but need to mix. The first slurp was sugary wintermelon and the rest of the drink was diluted lemon flavor -Signature fruit tea: At 30% sugar, the tea was bitter and the apple chunks were tart. It was not a good combination. Bleh. Avoid this drink. -Tieguanyin tea with herbal jelly: At 0% sugar, this drink was decent. Still sweet from the jelly and the tea tasted good. I think I'll have to come back and try the coco mango one because those look popular. But whatever you do, don't get the signature fruit tea

Brenda L.

Yelp
The good: I tried the lemon milk, smashed green lime tea with aiyu jelly and salted cream coffee. I liked that I could adjust the sweetness on them. I got 30% sweetness and less ice for all of the drinks (some drinks cannot be adjusted however). I liked the crunchy small ice cubes. The coffee tasted like Vietnamese coffee wjth condensed milk. The salted cream was super smooth. The lime drink was great with a dry finish. The lemon milk (I'm guessing condensed milk like a Brazilian limeade) was pleasant and enjoyed by my toddler. The interior had a modern and clean aesthetic with murals of mountains and tea fields on the walls. They had a self-order tablet. The bad: There's no outdoor seating. The indoor wooden foldable seats are a bit flimsy. My toddler almost fell off them several times. The interesting: You order at the front and pickup is in the back. There's a shelf on the left of the back where they put the drinks sometimes or it could be at the counter.

Ingrid R.

Yelp
I came to visit on a Thursday. The place is ample with seating at the front. The offer a table to self order or you can order with an employee. The menu offers a great selection of drinks from coffee, teas, milk teas, matcha, & smoothies. I ordered a strawberry matcha. You can also customize ice & sugar levels on your drinks. The matcha was yummy & would totally recommend if you're a fan of matcha.

Lily C.

Yelp
Discovered this new boba milk tea in SGV during our annual trip to LA (every year seems to pop up a couple new places). The Tea didn't disappoint. We tried a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and coffees. Their signature toasted brown sugar boba milk tea was my favorite. My son liked their oreo milk and fresh taro puree milk. Hubby liked the roasted oolong milk tea. I was pleasantly surprised by their coffee drinks (OGs). The drinks use Vietnamese coffee as base, very strong, and topped with sea salt cream, thick custards, or cream brulee. Hope this a chain that will open one in Bay Area soon.

Will C.

Yelp
This place lived up to the hype. I've been hearing how good the drinks are here and I had to try it for myself. First, there are so many choices, from milk tea, fruit tea, coffee and then matcha. We went with the fresh fruit tea with yakult with lychee jelly as our topping. We got the mango, passion fruit and strawberry. All of our drinks were really good. The place was busy, but they're really efficient and we got our drinks in not time. I'm definitely coming back to try some of the other drinks.

KJ S.

Yelp
free parking lot out front & also in the nearby structures :) located down altantic blvd, the tea is one of my fav tea shops in mpk! the tea is brewed to perfection & so strong (which i love). pricing is reasonable, with drinks ranging from an avg of $5-7. there is a self service ordering kiosk & also a chasier up front so you can pick! the baristas work in the center of the restaurant in what looks like a bar area. there is also seating inside so its good for hanging out or studying. i love their jasmine, osmanthus, and tieguanyin tea!!! strong tea flavor :)

Sharon H.

Yelp
Two words: Coco Mango Never in my wildest dreams would I believe I found a drink that makes me addicted like The Tea's Coco Mango. I was never a huge coconut fan, but this drink changed my mind. The drink blends sweet coconut milk with chunks of mango and mango puree. The flavors create a smooth, creamy, addicting drink. The drink also comes with pudding. I mean, what doesn't it have? Their Coco Mango is made with fresh ingredients and I haven't found anything that compares. The service is great for the amount of people that frequent this shop. They recently added a few extra tables and chairs near the front entrance. The shop has an inviting, open style kitchen to see how drinks are made. Kiosks are located at the front counter. If you're looking to earn points for every drink purchased, they can only been earned by ordering on the kiosk or through the Toast app.

Anna A.

Yelp
Really like coming here for their matcha drinks. You can tell they use high quality matcha. And really like walking in when you can smell the fragrance of loose teas! Service is quick and staff are friendly to answer any questions you have. I do dislike you don't earn points if you order with the staff, vs ordering at the self kiosk. There's a few parking spots in front and seating inside.

Irene P.

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a friend. I got the strawberry green tea 75% sweet and it was perfect! Not too sweet! You could taste the tea and they use fresh strawberries not just the syrup stuff!

Judy L.

Yelp
We ordered 4 drinks online but I could not order the Coconut Matcha Latte online but I will order when I get here! The service here was friendly and fast. When we got there, I ordered my matcha and told them we are here to pick up an online order too. As I was waiting, I noticed you also have to go all the way to the back of the bar area to grab your drink (oops). Yes, I got both the Fresh Taro Puree Milk & Coconut Matcha Latte was so good. The fresh taro puree was very good the best. You can taste the taro with the pulp. The coconut matcha was very good. I can't wait to order more items next time.

Michelle D.

Yelp
I've been here with my daughter several times and this is the first time that I ordered a drink. You place your order at the kiosk at the front counter. I ordered the Coco Mango with lychee jelly. It didn't take very long for them to prepare our drinks. They were very generous with the lychee, mango and coconut pudding. Also, they gave us a free drink because they made an extra drink by mistake. The majority of the store is the preparation area. There's a small portion with tables for sitting at the entrance and sitting at the back wall. This place is very clean and comfortable. The customer service is excellent. This is my all time favorite boba shop and I highly recommend this place.

Ann Q.

Yelp
Nice to see a new tea spot with actual tea in their drinks! The #18 Golden Mellow milk tea is going to be your traditional milk tea but light and flavorful kinda refreshing too. If you add boba toppings, I'd recommend doing half sugar since their boba toppings are very VERY sweet. Order in the front. Pick up in the back. It's an open kitchen esthetic so you can see them prepare your drinks on the spot.

Quoc H.

Yelp
Came for a late night boba run. Parking was easily with a small one lane lot in front. Shop is small with some indoor seating. Order in the front and pick up in the back. Drinks made in about 10min. 9/10 Mango Pamelo Sago $7.5 - very thick, creamy, on the sweeter side, lots of mango flavor and sago was made chewy. 8/10 Dragonfruit Aiyu $6.5 - seemed a tad watered down because dragonfruit flavor was lacking, but really refreshing and light drink.

Vee P.

Yelp
Love love love The Tea! It always smells amazing from the second you walk in. I've been here a couple of times and everything I've tried was so good - good quality tea. Service is super friendly and they are so organized. The only thing that's tough is the parking.

Lisa D.

Yelp
The service here is always nice and they're pretty quick as well, nice store but limited seating. You also have to go all the way to the back of the bar area to grab your drink since the buildings here are pretty slim so their layout has to be a little odd It's a cute little place in the same block as half&half and sunright, meet fresh and wushiland are also close by as well so it's in a pretty boba-saturated area and might be difficult for them to come up but I personally think they are worth revisiting more than once. I've tried way too many drinks from here to list, whether it be mine or a sip of my friend's lol but my personal favorites so far have been the mango fruit tea and the toasted brown sugar milk boba

Shannon Z.

Yelp
Great addition to the 626 boba shops scene! This place is located across the street from Ralphs in a small strip mall that is currently still filling up spots. It's near other boba shops too such as Sunright and Half and Half, but I have to say this is way better than them! My go to for this place is their Mango Pomelo Sago, it's like a mix between a smoothie/dessert type of drink which I'm all for it. It's thick in consistency but that's what I love about it. The only downside to this is that you can't have it out too long or else it'll melt. My other go to drink is their Fruit Tea, it's super refreshing and has fresh fruit in the drinks! Definitely a great add to MPK's boba scene. Would definitely come back on a weekly basis! The staff is amazing too and super detail oriented about how they make the drinks.

Anita L.

Yelp
THE TEA is one of my new favorites in amongst the SGV boba shops. It is located by Atlantic and Emerson (across from Ralph's supermarket - where the furniture used to be). The reason I prefer this store more than most in the area is that they offer unique drinks - such as Hojicha Latte or its Matcha drinks. I appreciate the matcha drinks much more when I see the staff using the ceramic chawan and bamboo whisk to make your drinks. If you are in a rush, you can always call in advance and place your order by phone.

Ally U.

Yelp
I feel like this place has so much potential to be even better than it is. I really wanted to rate like 3/5 stars but because I put so much effort into liking this shop I'll round it up in hopes of the manager reading this review. It took me alot of trial and error/almost trying the entire menu to understand what drinks actually taste good and which ones are not that good because the menu is honestly so weird. Let's start this breakdown. The No18 milk tea imo is alot better hot than it is cold but regardless, their hot cups for a large are the WORST cups ever. Even though their caps say "hot caution" the drink literally gets caught in the rim of the lid and constantly leaks down the cup, making the cup insanely sticky and messy. Every time I tilt the cup to drink, it spills, so the lid is not practical or convenient and I lose half the drink because of this issue. Also when they give hot drinks, they never give it with a hot sleeve. All hot drinks should be sleeved properly because the cup itself gets way too hot to carry naked without another barrier. Another thing, some of the coffee drinks you can make hot and some you can only make cold and its not labeled correctly so you literally have to run through the menu and ask about each one. We ordered a toasted oreo milk tea trying to attempt to get an omomo dupe, and since it had the word tea in it, we assumed it was made with tea but it tastes literally like just milk and oreos... idk maybe im wrong but theres barely any tea flavor if there is any. And if there is no tea then they should not call it a milk tea. While on that topic, the tea flavor isnt too strong, I kind of wish they had alot more stronger tea tasting options as they're all pretty mellow. The boba topping is okay, I dont think its the best boba, and its a little bland but pairs well if you like boba with your drinks. The menu seems big but its technically not because the milk tea selection is just okay and the fruit tea as well and after running through the options nothing really seems too intriguing to get. I wish you can make the Or-lichee a tea because its my favorite drink there and alot of the times I dont want is as an icy slushy since you have to drink those right away. They have a lychee tea version but it doesnt have orange flavor and I feel like there should be a way to either add that or to make the or or-lichee a tea version. Right now they have a buy 4 get $5 off the 5th drink promo and its not the best deal but its something. Workers are whatever, they're a bunch of high-school students with like mid level customer service that I am never impressed with.

Jacky H.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the Tea's Vietnamese coffees. There is a variety to choose from. The Sea Salt Cream OG was like drinking dessert. It reminds me of the Vietnamese desserts where it's topped with that thick creamy coconut sauce, like Chè Dau (sticky rice pudding with Black Eyed Peas). I loved it. The Crème Brûlée OG was delicious! The crème brûlée was like drinking custard. Well, duh! Crème brûlée is a custard dessert, after all. Mixing the crème brûlée part into the coffee created this rich, sweet, creamy treat. The taste reminded me of coffee cake. If you don't mix it well into the coffee, then it tastes like a crème brûlée coffee malt. It is the heaviest out of all their other coffees. I wanted to take a nap after. I also don't recommend ordering this if you just had lunch or dinner. It is filling. I also recommend ordering the Crème Brûlée OG with less sugar. The OG Booster is strong. You can immediately taste the caffeine from the first sip. I was completely wired. It had the opposite effect of the crème brûlée. The OG Latte is a good in-between. It has a nice balance. I didn't feel wired or coffee fatigue after. I recommend if you want something in the middle between OG Booster and Sea Salt Cream OG. Moreover, I got it with less sugar, and it was perfect. It was enjoyable to sip on throughout the workday. I just have the Brown Sugar Boba OG and the Black to try, but I am looking forward to getting their Sea Salt Cream OG again.

Jenny T.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times specifically for their Vietnamese coffee. My go to has been the Seasalt Creme OG. It's creamy, bitter but not too bitter. The flavor of the coffee itself is good. It's not too acidic. It's hard to find a good Viet coffee here in the 626 area and I'm glad there's now one so close to home. I don't have to go to OC anymore to get my fix. Service so far has been good. Everyone has been nice and friendly. Drinks come out fast (but I've only come during off-peak hours). The place itself is very clean, warm and welcoming. I've seen plenty of people sit down to chit chat. Not a lot of parking in front of the store itself but there are parking structures close by. It's easy to turn into the lot because of the traffic light.

Novia E.

Yelp
came here because I've been wanting to try this Boba/tea place since they opened in the area. The staff is friendly and took his time to explain their signature drinks and difference between oolong tea and their signature Milk tea which I appreciate so much. I asked for half sweet, but surprisingly it was still too sweer for me although I could agree I could taste the tea flavor and not like other places where they rely heavily on powder flavor. The design of the shop is pretty unique because they have the Boba bar just long across the entire shop . I would definitely come back for their oolong milk tea and will ask for less less less sweet.

Vy D.

Yelp
Boba o'clock comes again!! Let's go. The taste is so fresh! Highlights of the menu: 1. Ujimatcha 2. House signature fruit tea 3. Mango pokelo sago 4. Smashed avocado 5. Coconut taro blend 6. Black sesame blend 7. Or-lichee 8. Toasted brown sugar boba 9. Jasmine coffee

Jamie F.

Yelp
Ordered the Golden mellow milk tea at 0% sugar and less ice. For drinks at The Tea, I would recommend ordering your drinks at a lower sweetness. In addition, I also ordered the drink via Fantuan. For those ordering online, you would go to the pickup area to ask your drinks. Although my order was past pickup time, my order had not moved to the ready for pickup status. Upon asking an employee about my order, they realized they had not started on it. An older employee apologized an let me know that their computer was off in which they were unaware of any online orders. As such, for those ordering online, I would keep any eye out on the time and not hesitate next time in asking for help! Other than that, the shop has free wifi and ample parking (next door).

Yelp
Small boba shop at the corner of the plaza. There are only 2-3 tables inside and they are the wooden types with cracks so be careful with your drinks. You can order at the kiosk or with their staff. Wait was okay and they had cool ledges on the wall to put your drinks on. They also had some small snacks at the counter. Ambiance was very chill and the scent of tea hits you right as you enter. Staff was attentive in wiping down each drink to make sure it's clean, appreciated that. Got 3 drinks: -Oreo matcha brulee ($6.50): oreo is very sweet and can overpower the matcha when you take a sip of it. I already did less sugar but still a bit too sweet because of the oreo and cream. Tasted mostly like oreo, hardly any hint of matcha 2/5 -Matcha matcha blend ($6.95): nice texture cause it is blended. Matcha was good but the cream makes it sweeter. Still kind of sweet at less sugar. 4/5 -Hojicha with coffee jelly ($6 + 0.75 topping): hojicha tastes good but way too sweet even at less sugar. Have to water it down at home. Coffee jelly is on the harder side so need more chewing. 3/5

Yelp
[4.0 stars] - I recommend getting the Toasted Thai Milk Tea because you can't go wrong with it, it's genuinely so yummy and magical when you sip it. I got the drink with 0% sugar and to me it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Unfortunately , I asked for less ice; however, they did not give me less ice. It seemed like more ice than usual to me, or maybe their "normal". The environment is super chill, felt homey. Also, they have few table and chairs if you want to drink and relax, or even study.

Yelp
I came here a while ago and got the mango pomelo sago and it was not bad. It had more of a smoothie texture whereas I preferred more liquidy, but nonetheless, the mango flavor with sago was really tasty. There's a few parking spots in front of the store and a few seats inside. Their menu is pretty diversified so maybe i'll come back and try more drinks.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting The Tea. As soon as I walked in, I was surprised by how many people were waiting for their orders, but the service was fast. The place looked great, and the restaurant was well-organized. We ordered three matcha drinks, and all of them were delicious. They use real ceremonial-grade matcha, unlike other places that only have lower-quality versions. If we ever come back to Monterey Park, I'll make sure to stop by again to try more of their drinks.

Yelp
I came here to grab boba with a friend and was impressed by how much I enjoyed their drinks! I tried their Coco Mango drink, which was definitely a creamy, sweet dessert beverage. I loved that the coconut and mango flavors were both very strong. It's a slushy texture, but I actually enjoyed it more when it melted a little. My friend ordered milk tea, and you can definitely tell that the tea quality is good. They are a little on the pricier side, but I like how many cool drink options they have. I definitely want to stop by in the future to check out more of their signature drinks. They have a fair amount of indoor seating, and the interior is well lit and spacious. The staff were kind and quick with their service, and they also have abundant parking in the lot. As a whole, I think it's a great place to stop by with a friend to get your boba fix!

Yelp
There are plenty of parking spaces. Inside have about 4 stool seats. You can order via the kiosk or at the front with cashier. I ordered the Or-lichee and it was a good drink, perfect for a hot day! It already has toppings like lychee jelly and it is a slushie drink, so you can't adjust ice-level. It was a bit sweet, but it was probably due to the lychee jelly. Recommendation(s): - Or-lichee Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Accept Apple Pay - Order via kiosk or in front of cashier - No restrooms available

Yelp
Came here on a weekend and it was packed. Fortunately, after placing our order, we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. They have a good number of staff working. We ordered the Uji Matcha Latte, Coconut Taro, and Coco Mango. All three drinks were pretty good and I'd recommend them. The Tea is one of the better boba tea places in Monterey Park. I'd even rank it in the top 3. Good and quick service. Clean inside. They have several tables for indoor seating. Easy to find, free parking in parking lot. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Finally tried this place and yes, the parking situation is unfortunate with barely any spots. Good thing there are free lots elsewhere and I don't mind crossing the street. Staff was really friendly and the layout of the place was interesting. They had a restroom in the back and seats toward the front with small tables. You can order with an employee or at a bigger iPad at the front. They have a lot of premium drinks and walking in, I immediately smelled the real tea smell. Drinks can get pricey with additional toppings and milk substitutes at $1 but some drinks include toppings already. The lychee aiyu had jelly and real lychee flavor. I got a smashed avocado with fresh avocado. Super yummy! They also have some wafers and snacks at the front. Give them a try!

Yelp
Trendy, relaxing minimalistic aesthetic and design. The Tea is a newer boba place in the area and are currently doing a promotion for Lunar New Year for a discount and a glass travel bottle with a purchase of 4 drinks (check their social media, not sure if its still on going when this review is published). Usually you can order online, but depending on the amount of orders they get, this might be locked so you would have to go in person. There is a bit of a wait, but nothing too long as the workers are not only friendly, but quite efficient. I got the: 1) No. 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea: -I got this less sweet and less ice. -It's nicely sweet and smooth. I believe it's a turmeric tea? I'm not too sure, but overall not bad and more unique than the standard milk tea that is usually a boba place's signature. 2) Toasted Oreo Milk: -I believe this is creme brulee'ed at the top and there's lots of Oreo mixed in. -No adjustments but the Oreo did end up a bit soggy and sludgy by the time we were halfway done with the drink. -If you're drinking this, might be best to drink this as soon as possible. 3) Smashed Avocado: -Definitely reduce the sweetness for this since it is already pretty sweet with the avocado. -I had no idea there was salted cream or cheese cream at the top until we were done with the drink and there was only the leftover at the bottom. Not sure if it was possible to mix through with a sealed lid or if it's a drink that would benefit with a liftable lid. -Not bad but next time I know to make the necessary adjustments. 4) Lychee Ai Yu: -I got this less sweet and with less ice. -There's real bits of lychee in it (maybe 1 or 2 fruits) and a huge chunk of ai yu jelly at the bottom. Make sure to suck it through the straw evenly or else you'll get the block at the end. -Not too sour and sweet, but not too sweet. Refreshing. Overall not bad, I can see how their fruit drinks really shine through the most and I will go back to try more of their menu. I just wish that they have a menu or a sign with more detailed descriptions of what their drinks are so next time I won't get caught off guard haha.

Yelp
Found this on google maps not Yelp, did t read reviews but we were looking for Vietnamese coffee and decided to try a new place that is not a bakery. Surprise surprise, both drinks were great and I would come back here in a heart beat. The name outside is not very visible in the sense that it kind of blurs away in the purple coloring of the building. Orders: Sea Salt Vietnamese coffee and mellow milk tea. The coffee had the thickest cream too and it's kind of hard to mix it with the ice in the beginning. It's very rich and the coffee is strong! I enjoyed this but honestly was like having melted ice cream in a cup after a while. I love milk teas so the No. 18 Golden Mellow Milk Tea was the natural choice. It was great at 100% sweetness. Usually I lower this but I've learned that it never tastes as good when I change it. Wasn't that sweet tbh. Love the self ordering kiosk. It's the way to go.

Yelp
Solid new boba tea shop in 626. You can really taste the quality of tea in their drinks. You can either place an order online or in store via self-kiosk. 1) matcha strawberry- I've tried ordering this before but they were out of shipment. I finally got to try it and it was quite refreshing. It has a great matcha flavor with fresh strawberry chunks inside. I got 60% sweet. I felt like the first few sips were really good, but once you finish the strawberry cream part, it lost the sweet flavor and turned into a plain matcha taste. I wish there was more strawberry cream ratio in the drink. 2) lychee aiyu- was super impressed with this. Nice strong tea flavor and yummy aiyu jelly. 60% sweet was perfect. Top choice and highly recommend!! 3) tie guan yin milk tea with boba- it was just ok.. I preferred the other 2 over this. It was too watery in taste. Overall, I think after trying different flavors, this place grows on you once you find the drink you like.

Yelp
The store is located in a small plaza, the front parking is kind of small and would definitely say it might be better to park in the back as there is more parking. Overall I would say the drinks are on the sweeter side, I got 60% sweetness and it was still super sweet. If you like drinks on the sweeter side this might be the place to go. Personally, I would say the drinks are okay, nothing too striking for me. YOu are able to order via self service kiosk, a front register, and an app. If you want to cut down on the wait time, I would say to order online, as the wait time is kind of long. There are a few tables you can wait at. You pick up from the back of the store, which is kind of nice as it spreads the crowd out. Also, just a side note, but if you like BTS they do play a lot of BTS songs. At least when I was there it was.

Yelp
The drinks here are just okay. The sago here was actually so hard. It was like eating rocks. It was a couple hours before closing too. I used to work at a boba shop..so I asked them if they could remake it...they remade it and added hot water to the sago to make it softer. I feel like they should've tasted the sago to see if it was softer because when they remade it, it was exactly the same. HARD. I didn't want to make them remake it cause I was once in their shoes. But I would've at least tried the sago before sending it out. I would've liked it if they didn't remake it with the sago bc I basically had to trash both. The remade version, and my old.

Yelp
Came here with a friend 2 weeks ago & tried their Matcha Matcha blend. I thought it was good. The matcha flavor was there. Honestly, can't go wrong with any matcha beverages, lol. Upon arrival, there were only 2 people in front of us, but our drinks kind of took a while to come out. If you enjoy Omomo drinks, I'd say this is worth a try. Planning to go back to try other options in the near future.

Yelp
First timer, and I definitely needed a pick me up so I ordered their Crème Brûlée coffee drink. Literally crack in a cup lol, it lasted me the whole day! Would I say it tasted like crème brûlée? Not really, just the foam top does but it's very thick and doesn't mix well with the coffee. I feel like you would need to spend over a minute stirring it. I think next time I'd order the coffee on its own.
