I love The Ten Spot - North Loop! I started going here for a year for my waxing services. Mollie is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable and asks you what you want, but also gives her opinions on what's best, too. Most of all, I love how she makes you not only feel like a client, but also a friend. I highly recommend Mollie! To all the workers there, especially the front desk associates, are amazing and so sweet!

I’m really disappointed by my recent experience. I’m new to Minneapolis and really like the North Loop area and honestly really liked the place when I saw and went in for getting my nails removed. The girl did a good job. I liked her. It was so nice that I decided to go back for waxing. Unfortunately it was horrible. I’ve been getting waxing for over 15 years and I’ve never heard someone say, I’m more comfortable with doing waxing this way so I’ll continue, even when it’s hurting you. I’ve never had such a painful waxing experience. I got full arms and underarms waxing. The lady who did my waxing seemed nice but would not listen to anything I told her. She used 2 different types of wax; beads wax and the other one where you apply wax and put a removing sheet. I asked her to only use the removing sheet wax as that would clean my hair better but she said no it would bruise you. I said okay. She kept using beads wax which was fine but in the most painful way she removed it was not okay. I told her it is hurting me. She said I’m more comfortable in doing it this way. I said but it’s hurting me so can you please use the other sheets. She did not. I told her if she wants to use the beads wax, can she at least remove it faster so I don’t feel every hair on my body being removed slowly. She did not budge. She removed the wax so slowly like removing face mask or something, my arms hurt for 2 days. Wax should be removed fast not slow so each hair is felt when removed individually. Would highly recommend giving that girl some waxing classes and telling her that customers do not return if they don’t feel comfortable or understood. She refused to do anything I requested. I couldn’t wait for that horrible painful experience to end. I was paying so much money and I really wanted to have a good experience. I still have hair on my arms that she didn’t remove. Also adding, the lighting was bad in that room or something, there was clear hair left on my arms that I kept pointing to her to remove but she either pretended to not see any hair or couldn’t see cuz of the lighting. Anyways, really bad painful experience. Sad that it went that way. I would’ve loved to make this place my go to. Well now, search for a new one started!

I never write reviews but for the price I really feel the results should have been better. I paid for an extension removal and a gel mani. I think she may have had difficulty removing my previous nails and that’s why they came out uneven, thick and bumpy. These photos were taken as soon as I got to my car so all the debris stuck to/under my nails was left there from the removal. I added two stars because the woman who did them was nice.

Google
Got an express mani and it turned out OK, not great. I was going to ask the technician to fix two areas where the polish bunched up near my skin, but she'd already moved on to her next client. I'll have to fix them myself. (Tried uploading photos but Google won't let me.)

I moved to Minneapolis in 2022 and tried different waxing studios and eye brow waxers. I can confidently say Mollie is the BEST I’ve found in MPLS. She’s very detailed oriented and makes sure you leave feeling more confident than ever. In addition, she’s super personable and it’s just an enjoyable time every time! Cannot recommend enough.

I recently visited this beauty spot for the first time to get a shellac mani, I was extremely impressed with the service provided by Emma M and would give her over 5 stars if I could. Emma is very skilled and knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. She took her time to ensure that my nails looked perfect and exactly how I wanted them to be. The salon is extremely clean and welcoming. Overall, I would highly recommend this salon and especially Emma to anyone looking for a great experience and beautiful nails!

I had a fantastic experience at The ten spot! The ambiance was relaxing, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. Erica took time to make sure my nails were perfect. Molly at checkout was beautiful and pleasant. I’m in love with the final result! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality service in a comfortable setting.

Yelp
The salon is clean and bright and open. I was greeted by a friendly lady and was shortly escorted to the procedure room. I came in for a lash lift and tint because I have incredibly straight lashes and like to get this procedure before trips and for special occasions. This was my first time at this salon. A couple of things about the ambience, I wish they had gentle music playing instead of a tv screen on. I wasn't interested in the tv but of course having my eyes closed for 45 min it was really annoying just blaring in the background. I would also recommend a localized light that is used when the esthetician is performing the service instead of the big bright lights on in the room. This is something that was done at other salons and I enjoyed a small light and gentle music better. The result wasn't perfect, although there was some lift the tint was non-existent. This is not a cheap procedure and I was really hoping for my lashes to look like I am wearing mascara so I don't have to apply any. I've had that look before just not this time. All in all, I was satisfied with the cleanliness and professionalism but was hoping for a more drastic outcome.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I've never had a great experience here. Even with an appointment, I've had to wait 30+ minutes to be seen. The gel and other manicure options are expensive for what you receive. I've purchased the longest lasting, most expensive manicure here and it still broke 3 days later. When asked how much it would be to fix, they told me they didn't have that available so let's just fix it and then come up with a solution on pricing. I should have turned away, but I was so bummed about having just spent $90 on a manicure, and figured it couldn't be more than $5-$10 to fix one nail. $20! When even MORE broke over the next two days, I vowed I'd never go back. People have overall been nice, but the quality is so extremely poor for the price.

Yelp
Immaculate nail care and precision by all nail techs consistently..... a totally different experience than other nail salons.

Yelp
I went to the Ten Spot for the first time today and got my brows waxed! They did a good job and the customer service was excellent. I didn't like the wax they used as it left a really sticky residue on my face afterwards that was hard to scrub off. But, I will definitely go back again to get my nails done, etc. I will say that there nail polish selection was a bit limited... so just something to keep in mind. :) Parking: is all metered street parking or there are some ramps nearby.

Yelp
not impressed. gel polish flaked off same day. Expensive compared to places that to better

Yelp
I called and made an appointment because their online booking was down. I showed up for my gel manicure and someone had cancelled my appointment. They said they were booked for the rest of the day and refused to fit me in anywhere. Zero customer service.

Yelp
I just had mani and pedi appts cancelled versus having another person take my appts. This is the third time I have scheduled appts here and had to adjust on my side - although this time I could not make other days work for an upcoming event. The entire operation seems to not be solid, which is unfortunate since there are very few nail services in downtown.

Yelp
Had a pedi. They rushed through it, it was not relaxing at all. Will not go back. There are no massage chairs, the seating was very uncomfortable.

Yelp
This place was just not quite what I was expecting. I booked a pedi for myself online before heading out of town for a wedding. When I walked in, the receptionist greeted me right away and offered coffee or a water. She was in the middle of getting a treatment herself, but Emma was ready for me and brought me over to my seat after I had looked through the polish options (somewhat limited). The place itself is very bright and modern-feeling. Instead of the traditional massage chairs, you sit on a long-ish bench with pillows. I honestly missed the massage :( Emma was efficient and did a good job; the pedi still looks great a week later. There was really nothing wrong with the place itself, I just missed more of a traditional pedicure experience.

Yelp
Very hostile receptionist who despite telling her I see reservations online for multiple openings refused to book one. Her favorite word was no....not even options for other bookings?? She couldn't wait to hang up the phone. She said the online reservation is not up-to date so if I went ahead and booked it there won't be availability when I showed up. What is the point of having a booking system that is not up-to date? Was looking forward to going here but seeing how they treat you over the phone was enough for me to go to somewhere that will treat me with respect.

Yelp
Don't waste your money. My nails and feet looked better going into the appointment than after. She didn't trim my cuticles, remove my calluses, etc. and it looks like a toddler painted my toenails. Also, no massaging chairs. Your feet are soaked in a plastic bin that one uses to wash windows with. According to the manager, "pedicure protocols" prevented the woman from doing a decent job. Comical. You could not pay me to go back to this place

Yelp
Emma does an AMAZING job with nails, facials and esthi services. She is so sweet and knowledgeable, I highly recommend her!!!
