About a 1-1.5: Yikes!
I was pretty excited to try out The Ten Top, as it had some rave reviews. This place has a lunch and dinner menu, and they also offer catering services.
We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered the following as a carry out:
+Rick's Big Meatloaf Sandwich - meatloaf slices on a toasted sourdough, topped with baby greens, tomato, white cheddar, and BBQ mayo
+Chicken, Apple Chutney, and Walnut Wrap - white wrap filled with chicken breast, apple chutney, toasted walnuts, romaine lettuce, carrots, and melted mozzarella
+Tuna Cheddar Melt - tuna salad in a French baguette, topped with cheddar and baked
+Smoked Salmon Cake Sandwich - house-smoked salmon cake with whole grain mustard, honey, and dill remoulade, topped with baby greens and tomato, on a brioche bun
The sandwiches were served with a choice of pasta salad, potato salad oranges, cole slaw, or a bag of chips; we opted for the pasta salad, the potato salad, and the cole slaw.
Honestly, we just were not fans of the sandwiches; the combination of the ingredients listed on the menu sounded so delicious, but what we had, it just didn't taste good. The meatloaf was way too mushy, the tuna and the salmon both had an overpowering fishy odor and taste to them, and the wrap was super bland, even with the chutney.
The staff here were super friendly and kind, and the place itself gives off a quirky, retro-esque vibe.
I really wanted to have the same tasty experience as others have had, but no dice. I'm glad I was able to check this place out, though.
