"When we found out this restaurant was designed after an anime pirate ship, we had questions. If you’re a hyper-fan who’s been keeping up with all 20-something seasons of One Piece, you might have a good time at Thousand Sunny. Dozens of One Piece action figures are perched on a shelf, a jacked, life-size anime statue greets you at the entrance, and the whole menu is loaded with references from the show. The restaurant is less exciting if you’re just here for a casual lunch. Expect underseasoned hot pots, overly sweet pork belly rice bowls, and dry pork bao." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, virginia otazo, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanin

"The Straw Hat Pirates are the commanders of the Thousand Sunny wooden ship. If this sounds like gibberish, you probably won’t have much fun eating here. Because this restaurant, located in a Pinecrest strip mall, is modeled after the ship from the popular anime show One Piece. A jacked, life-size statue of a character greets you at the entrance, and the ceiling has portholes that display digital shooting stars. It’s all exciting stuff if you’ve been following along for the past 21 seasons. If not, there’s not much reason to come here. The tonkotsu hot pot, ramen, and pork belly rice bowls are either too bland, too dry, or too sweet." - Mariana Trabanino

If you’re a fan of good food, I’d recommend you come try this place. If you’re a fan of One Piece, you have no choice but to come and try this place! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant where I would give the place an overall 10/10 but I have finally found it(almost like I found the one piece!). The atmosphere/decor is so cool, from the figurines to the statues and the wanted posters on the wall. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was A1! I wish I remembered our servers name because I would give him a shoutout. My wife and I will definitely be back! This isn’t a critique, just something worth mentioning, the place is pretty small so if it’s full you have to put your name and number on a list and they will call you when a table opens up.

Google
What a fun place for any One Piece fan! The food was incredibly good and they have a very wide range of dishes...there is something for everyone. Every dish has some type if detail and they even add special items for kids. The heart shaped egg on my daughter's Ramen was so great. She is a huge One Piece fan and loved every minute of it! She made me wear her One Piece Chopper purse as an accessory. The service was amazing! Definitely a great place to eat even if you're not familiar with One Piece. The decor is fun! ❤️

This place was excellent from the food to their service. Tried various dishes and desserts and none of them disappointed. Great broth, fresh ingredients made to order. We sent back our curry because it was extremely salty and staff was very apologetic and made us a fresh one which was excellent. Place is on the smaller end compared to other restaurants so be prepared to wait while they group together tables and 20% gratuity is included for parties of six or more. Highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of charm — a perfect blend of cozy and adventurous, just like the name suggests. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like honored guests rather than just customers. The food? Outstanding. Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re a fan of classic comfort food or looking for something bold and unique, there’s something on the menu for everyone. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s clear that a lot of love and thought went into every detail. Can’t wait to come back for another meal aboard The Thousand Sunny!

Took my husband because he's a big one piece fan. Very cute inside! And the service was excellent! Highly recommend the pork baos!

If you're even remotely a One Piece fan, you have to visit The Thousand Sunny in Miami! The theming is unreal—you can't look anywhere without being reminded of the series, and it genuinely made me so happy. The whole atmosphere was nostalgic and fun, and it was hilarious (and awesome) hearing every table around me geeking out about One Piece. (Spoiler warning! ⚠️) Service was ridiculously fast, the staff was super friendly, and the prices were honestly amazing for what you get—it's not just a meal, it's an experience. I left feeling like I was part of the crew for a little while. 100% coming back... maybe with a straw hat next time! ☀️

Went today with my cousin, it's a chill place with some pretty good food. I recommend it for anyone who's a one piece fan or has kids that would enjoy the theme. The atmosphere is relaxing, the waiters are attentive, and the food is yummy! Overall a 10/10.

f I could give more than five stars, I would! We had the Kokoro’s Japanese Curry and the Dr. Chooper Shake, and I must say, everything was a solid 10/10. The flavors were incredible — you can really taste the love and care put into each dish. On top of that, the environment is where it’s at. The vibe is cozy, welcoming, and full of character — it feels like you’ve stepped into another world. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for a cool spot to hang out, The Thousand Sun is absolutely worth visiting. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Yelp
I absolutely loved this spot! I've been wanting to come here since me and my boyfriend are huge fans of one piece but the food and service will keep me coming back! Plenty of free parking, it's pretty casual and wasn't busy at all on a Sunday. The place is filled with one piece statues, stickers, merch and anime figurines all for sale. I love the decoration like you're inside the thousand sunny. We got the takoyaki, sweet and sour chicken, sukiyaki, lychee lemonade and fried doughnuts. I had tried takoyaki in Japan and it was a bit too mushy so I was willing to give it another try and this one was amazing!! Mushy on the inside but not raw mushy and solid on the outside. It was perfect and the sauce on top was delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was incredible. The sauce tasted really natural not too sweet like typical Chinese restaurants and the breading was very light on the chicken. It was also a huge portion for a great price. The sukiyaki was my favorite and I got to take some home! The broth was savory, sweet and it had sooo much udon and meat literally a mountain of toppings! Ask for chili oil on the side. I have to come back to get the short ribs but I was in a soup mood and it did not disappoint. One of my favorite places in Miami now for sure!! Came for the vibes and was pleasantly surprised the food was so good. The service was great they kept checking up on us and they have great dessert options. Fried doughnuts were made perfectly and super crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We need more places like this for sure!! Thank you for bringing Otaku culture to Miami!!

Yelp
The place was super nice for a one piece fan, I loved the figures at the top, the decorations, even the J pop music playing, which was so cool. I felt like I was in a mini one piece museum, which as a fan of the anime made me very happy ha ha ha. In terms of the food, it wasn't that amazing. I got the sweet-and-sour chicken and a Boba Thai which was yummy, but a little bit too much sugar The chicken was OK, but it tasted like I was eating at a food court, so if you were a one piece fan, I highly recommend it but don't come so much for the food. The service was fine as well I didn't have any issues there.

Krys P.

Yelp
Even though I am not a fan of the anime, I found the decor cute and charming. The "submarine potholes" on the ceiling makes it feel like you are on a magical underwater journey. The menu is mostly pan Asian, though a bit all over the place too with items like lomo saltado, burgers. For appetizers, definitely recommend the takoyaki and chicken wings. Calamari is tasty too, though be warned that they are not just rings, but whole little baby squids with head and tentacles... The hot pot is like a giant bowl of noodles with a lot of toppings, big enough to almost feed two. Totally satisfying especially on cooler days. The pork with the ramen is not just thin slices, but nice big cubes of pork belly that has been stewed to flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. If you prefer rice, there's also a variety of rice bowls, which is kinda a cross between bibimbap and pokebowl, where you can choose your protein, toppings and sauce. Overall, quite satisfying, and great service.

Yelp
I've been to The Thousand Sunny on a few different occasions and the service has always been amazing! The restaurant is beautifully themed with creative decorations and lighting. But most importantly the food is amazing!! The dishes are tasty and creative. Unlike a lot of themed restaurants The Thousand Sunny doesn't just rely heavily upon the theme and neglect the quality of the food. It seems like the chefs really care about the taste, presentation, and overall quality of the food. I highly recommend going!!! The only thing is that it's fairly small so there might be a wait for a table but well worth it!

Veronica J.

Yelp
What a fun place with delicious food! Love everything about it. The scallion pancakes were the best I have had. Flaky, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I love udon noodles so I opted for the yakisoba. The noodles had that chewy bounce that I like so much and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
This place was DELICIOUS. We had a rare chilly evening in Miami and I was craving some soup and let me tell you - well worth the trip. Their staff is super sweet and if you're into anime, you'll love their decor. The buns were cooked to perfection and the soup had so. much. FLAVOR. I usually prefer Pho to Ramen but the Tonkatsu I think is the best I've ever had. Each serving feels like a giant vat of broth - I almost think it can be shared. But the leftovers were just as delish. I'll be back!

Roselena A.

Yelp
Drove an hour to take my son to this restaurant. It was all worth it. Food was amazing, service was good and the restaurant is so cool. The toys they sell are a little overpriced but we still bought it for the experience. I was presently surprised by this place and would definitely be back. I went on a Sunday around 12 and was seated fast. By 12:30/ 1:00 it was packed and people were waiting outside. This place isn't big so I recommend getting there early.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Small little place. Full of one piece decorations very nice. Outside the store they have a sculpture of Sanji, inside they have another sculpture and a lot of different decor. It looks like you're inside a ship. Overall service, was good and quick. We got our drinks and order taken within 10 minutes of us sitting.

M Gavin B.

Yelp
I came because of the anime but I come back because of the food. This place was all around amazing. I loved looking at the decor and all the one piece stuff and I didn't expect much of the food, but I was blown away. Everything was so delicious! I noticed how many people started to come in and they didn't look like fans of the anime so I knew it was legit just a great restaurant on top of a really cool place. The service was great as well. Everyone was very friendly even though I was kind of nerding out and taking pictures.

Johanny V.

Yelp
Had a great time at this unique theme restaurant. I came with my son for the theme of the restaurant as he likes those cartoons. It is a small, but very cozy restaurant and the atmosphere with the theme is A+. Now the food didn't disappointed. We started with the appetizer bun and they were savory. For main dish we had the ribs plate, good size and the meat had very good flavor. Would have like the ribs to be a little bit more thick. For dessert my son ordered some donuts which he loved. Definitely we'll be back to try some more of the food.

David R.

Yelp
Wow! Excellent food, unusual vibe, great service. Udon noodles were savory deliciousness. My better half had a hot pot with sea food. Also excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Tena W.

Yelp
We checked out the new One Piece restaurant today! The decor and aesthetic were super on point, the details, figures, art and accents were excellent! Food was good, a little pricey and the menu is somewhat limited. The individual hotpot is unique and the appetizers were good (everything was a lot very photogenic) Service could be better, we were there for over 2hrs and watched multiple tables sit, eat and leave before us but they're new and busy so it's understandable. The staff were polite and overall it was a good experience.

Myles A.

Yelp
Food was good. Definitely worth a visit for some Asian food. Kids like the ramen. Sukiyaki was good and I liked the kimchi cheese dish I had. It was unique. Our waiter was also excellent. Very helpful and accommodating to our big family. We love anime & One Piece is our kids' favorite and the decor of this and menu theme was awesome. Loved all the little touches.

Alex D.

Yelp
What a nice little spot! If you are a fan of One Piece, this is a must. Very nicely decorated. The place is small so you may have to wait a bit if coming at a peak time. The service was really good, nice and attentive. The food was ok. Not the best, but good enough to come back. We weakest items we tried were the appetizers. Bao buns felt to me that needed more stuffing. Spring rolls looked like came from a club warehouse and were greasy. We also tried the Tonkotsu ramen and Korean Kimchi pot. The kimchi was good and with the perfect level of spicy. The Tonkotsu had a very tasty broth. The bowls look small but they contain a lot so you may even consider sharing. We also had the Thai doughnut which wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable. Since this was our first time here, i didn't know what to expect. Overall a good place with an excellent staff and ambience. The food could use some work but good enough to come back.

Ashley C.

Yelp
The decor is absolutely on theme with one piece and creatively placed as well. I had the wagyu gyoza and honestly they weren't anything special if I had to be honest. I would say don't waste your money on it. The fatty beef bowl with rice though, was delicious and filling. I did not try the infamous ramen tho but next time

Ana V.

Yelp
Themed restaurant with tasty food and some yummy teas. Love the atmosphere and unique concept

Akeem E.

Yelp
This is a great spot for One Piece fans. The Athletics of the restaurant are awesome. So many little figures and pieces of the show built into the decor. The Led windows on the ceiling are a great touch. The food is solid. I enjoy the bao buns a lot. My girl got a soup dish and she seemed to like it a lot.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Another great group lunch. We each tried something different and loved our dishes. Service moved a little slow today but there was only one server. We started with spring rolls and they crispy and had a slight kick to them that I really enjoyed. I also tried the Lychee lemonade this time and it was delicious with lychee flavor. For my main dish I got the Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice and it was so good and flavorful. The pork belly crisp and kimchi fried rice had a nice kick. Overall it was very filling and could be shared if you want to try another. I will definitely be back another time.

Carlo V.

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch - very cute small place with anime figurines all over , the restaurant very cozy. The food is amazing. The service is perfect is very inexpensive. This place is a total winner. I will be coming back. XIEXI

Celeste V.

Yelp
Really fun new spot! The theming is super cute (very clearly One Piece inspired) and my friends and I really enjoyed our meal here. We ordered an assortment of dishes (beef bowl, fried rice, noodles, etc.) and my friends enjoyed everything they ordered. I got the curry chicken which I liked, although the chicken's texture wasn't how I normally like it a curry and the flavor could've been stronger, but those might just be personal preferences. The drinks were the real highlight of the menu. I got the Moss Head matcha latte which was so flavorful and refreshing! Would highly recommend getting one of their signature drinks with your order. My friend thought the Thai tea tasted a bit different than others she's had, but other than that everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks. Would highly recommend if you want to try a cute new spot! Just make sure you don't come with a party too large because they don't appear to have very large tables and can get full easily at busy times.

Jayde G.

Yelp
Amazing decor and food. The line and service were pretty bad since it's so popular and it's a fairly small place. The service took forever and was very overwhelmed and rude. The menu design is very confusing. It was my first time here and accidentally ordered something too spicy and they wouldn't let me change it out or take it off my order even though I only took one bite of it. So I barely ate. Also they gave me my dish way after the other people at my table were already done with their's. It would be a 1 star if not for my love of one piece and businesses like this. Go here if your a one piece fan but expect a very overwhelmed space with very overwhelmed employees.

Puja B.

Yelp
Holy holy. I ordered a Szechuan hotpot for home. Not only was it ginormous, it was delicious and full of flavor and two people could've eaten it and it is a reasonable price. It came on time. I would highly recommend if someone is in the mood for ramen.

Felix J.

Yelp
Came here to surprise my kiddo who loves One Piece and he was VERY happy! He had seen a post on IG and had told his friends all about it but had no idea we were going. As for me, I just wanted the food to be good - and it was! The calamari were really nice and unique bc they seemed to be baby squid so you get body and tentacles (I guess you can say they're in ONE PIECE! ;) The tom yum with Korean noodles & dumplings was delicious and blazing hot. The scallion pancakes were super flaky and yummy as well. My kid had the bao buns, dumplings, and boba tea and could not be happier. The server checked on us quite often to make sure we had everything we needed. So, if you or someone you know wants the cool look of being inside a ship surrounded by posters, memorabilia, action figures, and a life-size Zoro, you need to visit this place.

Rey L.

Yelp
Awesome service, the decor is more than I could have hoped for and the food was excellent. We drove an hour and a half to get here and it was 100% worth jt

Cristina A.

Yelp
I definitely recommend the pork buns. Sweet steamed buns that are crispy and the pork was definitely savory. Don't recommend the Shacha OX. Given the carb meat had the best flavor from that dish. The broth I wasn't sold on it. Tasted like it was missing something. It had a very smooth taste tho. Just missing something. The corn was definitely cooked separately... if you're a foodie, you know corn is like the flavor holder.. it just tasted like corn. Noodles were definitely instant noodles. The staff were super friendly and kind. As a One Piece Fan, I definitely loved the atmosphere. The decor was everything and more. Wanted posters were everywhere and absolutely loved the details. I think next time I go I would try the seafood HotPot.

Karen O.

Yelp
Beautiful little gem! Great service, delicious food, and a pretty cool experience! It's small, cute little place. It's decorated creatively, and we truly enjoyed our experience there. My son is a fan, and enjoyed explaining the decor.

Luis D.

Yelp
Anime themed Asian restaurants are in pretty short supply here in Miami so immediately this place gets points for that and upon walking in you can tell the level of effort that was put in. The place looks amazing and will appeal to fans of the famous manga / anime. The menu is limited but I like that because it means they can focus on the few dishes they have and make them really stand out. I do think not having ramen is a bit of a miss. There is a ramen dish on the menu but nothing compared the variety from ichimi in the gables or Naruto 88. The menu seems to focus on Korean or Chinese menus offering hotpot too. The presentation of the dishes is top notch. Almost makes you feel bad eating it because it looked so nice. My gf and I ordered bao buns as an appetizer, they were good but nothing out of this world. She ordered the pork belly dish and I ordered the kimchi fried rice. My rice was delicious and was enough for two. My gf's pork belly was good as well but she felt it was missing something. She enjoyed it nonetheless. We had two boba drinks that were really good and our meal was about 75 bucks w tip. Kinda pricey tbh. But we'll be back and would recommend anime fans or anyone that enjoys Asian cuisine to give it a try. I really feel ramen should be on the menu. An opportunity is being missed there.

Kadeem S.

Yelp
The thousands sunny was a pleasant surprise, as a long time One Piece fan the restaurant was out of a dream. It was clean, the staff was incredibly welcoming. The music playing were songs from the show, which was fun. We kicked off this dining experience with the Waguy guoza & Spring rolls. Both were delicious, what you would expect of those dishes. The Lychee tea & Saboba island were both extremely refreshing. For the entree i had the Fatty cow over rice and the Stir fry udon which were primarily the same dish with different bases. Whether the base was rice of udon it was a perfect dish. If you mix the over easy fried egg into the dishes you can get a little bit of everything in each bit. These dishes are rich in flavor. Complex flavors blended so well, the beef was cooked to perfection savory and slightly sweet, balanced by the rich and pulled together and enhanced by the yoke of the egg mixed in. I would recommend to non One Piece fans because the food was impeccable. Decor-wise the location is fun, character wanted posters adorn the walls and cool figures line the shelves closest to the roof.

Byron G.

Yelp
First time in this place and it is amazing. The food is delicious. Service is the best cannot complain. The ambiance is relaxing and the decor of one piece in the walls is incredible and it submerges into a different world.

Regina B.

Yelp
If you are a One Piece fan, this is your place to go. We trekked from Broward just for lunch. My son loved the experience so much and everything they have on display is pretty much for sale. Food was extremely average. I took one bit of the pork belly and was done. My son said everything was amazing but I think he just loved the place itself because to me his food tasted meh.

Devora W.

Yelp
The food and service was amazing. They keep their place really clean as well. We traveled from Port St Lucie just to eat here and was not disappointed.

Diana L.

Yelp
The small little spot appears to be, at first glance, just another ramen shop jumping on the One Piece bandwagon. With its anime décor and its poster-lined walls, it's easy to think that this spot is all about anime style over substance. But once you actually try the food - you will find that it is good. Like, really good. The gyoza was crispy and delicious and the bad was absolutely savory and well seasoned. The Yakisoba and the various ramens that we sampled were large and flavorful and the desserts were delicious without being over sweet. And of course, the anime is cute too. The restaurant is a little pricey but the quality of the food and the great customer service make it well worth it.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my boyfriend. While the place was clean, the staff was helpful and nice, and the One Piece decor was cool, it was not worth it. We started off with pork bao buns and edamame. The bao buns didn't taste fresh and were pan fried. The edamame tasted as if they were defrosted and sprinkled with salt. For our meal we shared a hot plate with ramen noodles, pork belly, and Shacha XO flavor. Honestly, 10/10 do not recommend. The Shacha broth has a lot of seasoning but missing the most important one...salt. We had to ask for salt to add to it and it slightly helped. The pork belly was dry and also lacked flavor. Now I understand it's a 'hot plate' dish but they serve it on this literal hot plate with a real fire. It's cool but makes the food so unbearably hot that you can't eat it. So we blew it out. To drink we had water and shared a Saboba Island drink. It tasted like it wants to be soda but missed the mark. It was also very sweet. Overall, disappointing dining experience. I hope they improve as I know they're still relatively new.

Dee L.

Yelp
Place is small and quaint. We ordered two appetizers--an octopus one and spring rolls--both good. Service was nice. We ordered a hot pot with thai yum broth with beef and seafood--again good not spectacular. We are on the fence if we will be returning.

Renata R.

Yelp
I loved the food! The hot pot was bigger than expected, but I'm not complaining. I recommend everything I have posted here! The only complaint I have is how tight the seats are.

Valentina D.

Yelp
Silverware, plates, and cups didn't seem properly cleaned. Food was also quite salty.

John N.

Yelp
Our daughter loves One Piece and Asian style food. This place has both. The food and service were great, and the decor is amazing

Patricia M.

Yelp
Solid and consistent food and service. The prices do add up fast but the portions are extremely generous.

Annie M.

Yelp
This place was so amazingggg! I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious and the decor was everything I hoped it'd be! :) I'll definitely be coming again.

Raul F.

Yelp
The thousand Sunny was a great experience. Everything about the restaurant was perfect. I wish I had taken pictures but I took a bite of my octopus fritter and lost my train of thought. It was so good The service was impeccable. If you're into anime then this place is for you. They have Chef Sanji out front as you enter the door.went you come in there's Roronoa Zoro. Love the wanted posters on the wall. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wlamir N.

Yelp
Variety of Asian fusion foods. Service is good. Prices re reasonable. I liked the soups and the Thai ice tea.

Seidee T.

Yelp
Everything went well! The food, the drinks, the decor. Amazing for any One Piece fan and any one that loves Asian food!

Maria E.

Yelp
Delivery: spicy beef noodle soup was 10/10. If it's good for delivery then it's probably even better eating it there! Excited to try out the restaurant.

Chantel Q.

Yelp
Such a nice place my son loves this anime and the food was excellent. Recommend to give it a try.

Stephen H.

Yelp
Ambiance is great for any one piece fans. Pretty to keep your eyes occupied while eating. The food was good too but I can't say I'd come just for the food. Everything was packed with flavor perhaps too it's detriment (a lot was too salty). They also have boba drinks which is fun. Unfortunately didn't appear to be any options for vegetarian celiac/gluten free folks except for some of the drinks. If only vegetarian you could order the green onion pancake or maybe skip meat in some of the noodle dishes.

Maddie L.

Yelp
Fun restaurant for One Piece fans! Opened just the other day. The menu is a bit small, but we enjoyed everything we had. We tried the curry hot pot and Sacha XO hot pot. Both were very good. We also had bubble tea which was good too. The servers were all very kind and came out quick. The decoration of the restaurant is extremely thoughtful and you will love it if you are a OP fan!

Leahla D.

Yelp
The food was amazing and very tasty Service was quick and nice Ambiance was colorful and fun to look at 10/10 will visit again

Anthony A.

Yelp
Great service, food is pretty good as well. Ambiance is 10/10!I would definitely recommend anyone to go! Especially one piece fans huge zoro statue for my zoro stans :)

Ibrahim B.

Yelp
Amazing food. Good vibes and happy time. The waitress are also very kind. They have a good rewards system
