1. Atmosphere:
Throw Back is everything you want in a sports bar — energetic, welcoming, and spotless. The vibe is fun without being overwhelming. It’s lively but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy your meal and conversation. Even the bathroom deserves a mention — super clean and smells amazing. That alone says a lot about how the place is run.
2. Food:
I had the **Steak & Eggs**, and it was outstanding. The steak was beautifully seasoned — and not just with salt and pepper. You can taste that there’s real intention behind the flavors. It was cooked perfectly to my liking, tender and flavorful. The fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy and potato-y on the inside (exactly how they should be), and the eggs were also cooked to perfection.
Chef Santos is incredible. He makes a hollandaise sauce that pairs with the fries and steak, and honestly — they should bottle it and sell it. I would absolutely buy it. It’s rich, flavorful, and elevates the entire dish.
3. Ambiance:
The ambiance strikes a great balance — classic sports bar energy with a polished, clean feel. It never feels grimy or chaotic like some sports bars can. You can tell the owners care about the overall experience, not just the food.
4. Service:
Top-notch. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. My bartender, Mew, was fantastic. The owners used to bartend themselves, and you can tell — they know what a properly crafted cocktail should taste like. I even had the pleasure of meeting them, and they are genuine, warm people who clearly take pride in what they’ve built.
Overall, a fantastic brunch experience. Great food, great drinks, great people — I’ll definitely be back. 🍳🥩🍹
