The service was excellent! This was our first time there and our server Zoei was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had the brussel sprouts, seafood jambalaya and the half chicken that came with red beans and rice. And for deessert we had the brownie sundae and banana pudding jar. Disclaimer: That banana pudding is different from the normal. Everything was delicious!

Google
Wonderful experience! The food was phenomenal, American with a Mediterranean twist we loved. Everything was delicious and they were very accommodating to our group. Loved the drinks selection and desserts. Can't say enough good things about this place starting with the incredible zaatar bread and braised short ribs with fries, both were to die for. Then we had the lamb burger, tilted burger, chicken picatta, and salmon. My daughter had the mac and cheese and grilled broccolini and we all ended up fighting for them as they probably were the best we ever had. To finish it all, we shared a decadent and massive raspberry panna cotta. Needless to say, if we lived closer, we would come very often. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a great dinning experience in Baltimore.

I have gone here every restaurant week since moving into Baltimore proper. This is my favorite date night spot. I love popping on a fancy dress and heading here for anniversaries or just a fancy night with friends. End off your meal with an adorable French press coffee ☕️

Stopped here for brunch on the way to an event. Wonderful coffee in a French press, and I had the mushroom omelette with onions and shallots. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which he pronounced “excellent“ and considering that he grew up in Virginia that’s high praise. Great, attentive service, wonderful bright interior, and spacious individual unisex bathrooms.

Google
Fantastic little find 🤩 exactly the little place my boyfriend and I were looking for on a relaxing Sunday evening. We were warmly greeted by the hostess who quickly seated us. The menu selection was small but perfect (I personally don’t like big menus as you end up indecisive of what to get). The cocktail / drinks menu was a decent selection of house signatures, wines and spirits. Loved the “The Tilted Word” cocktail, it was garnish with a lime and candied ginger slice. Boyfriend and I shared our food, we weren’t too hungry - the charred octopus, eggplant, clam pasta and a side of Mac & Cheese. The octopus was grilled, you can taste the smokiness from the fire, served on two baked slices of potatoes garnished with sour cream and some green sauce tasted like coriander. My boyfriend felt differently about it than I did, it was great! The eggplant starter - amazing! Was expecting the eggplant to be warm but it was served chilled, the bread slices that it came with could’ve been larger in size (that’s my only feedback, finger slices of charred bread was not ideal to spread the eggplant on). The main clam pasta - menu said it was large but it was an average one person size dish, I wouldve liked a spoon to be served with this as a good amount of clam juice was in this dish - a minor detail nothing too fussed about - cooked with lemon peel and a good amount of clam meat 🤩 The Mac and Cheese (the side was as large as the main) - surprisingly good, no complaints - I was expecting the Mac and cheese to be served as a side size not a main size. Boyfriend said “we should’ve just ordered two of the Mac n Cheese” lol 😝 - was hearty, crispy and cheesy! All in all, great and will def be going back!

Google
Some friends and I came here for restaurant week. I chose the Roasted pepper soup with crab meat, the Rockfish and the brown butter toffee cake. I ate every morsel and enjoyed my meal immensely. I even liked what I tried of my friends’ meals— that grilled octopus! And the steak!! Delicious! And the ambience is really nice. I could see myself sitting solo at the bar for a meal. The only weird thing was that the bartender sucked his thumb before touching the lime wedge on the drink my friend ordered. Not a big deal, but a little icky. All in all, I would be back!

Google
This restaurant is a solid 3.75 stars. Randomly we looked for a Baltimore upscale restaurant to celebrate the birthday. On a given Saturday, B’more restaurants are booked but not Tilted Row. Felt like the place was snuggled on the periphery of a gentrifying community. The restaurant did not feel like the neighborhood around it so the experience was a rather out of body experience and that wasn’t a bad thing but it also wasn’t a good thing. The mushroom soup was tasty. The squid was the best part of the meal. The fish was rich but not memorable. The steak was good. Sauces were notably complimentary and the toffee ice cream WAS memorable. Try it if you happen to be in the neighborhood. No need to search it out, tho.

Google
Would probably be a 3.5 but wanted to round up. My wife and I had a nice dinner there. We ordered drinks (wine and the Sazarac). We partook in the 3 course meal. Overall the food was fine, the service and ambiance was very nice. Would go back to support local restaurants, but won’t go running back.

Yelp
Still a solid choice after my first visit about a year ago. I've been back several times and never had a bad experience. The service is always great! This past Sunday some friends and I met for dinner on the last day of Restaurant Week! We made a reservation and so glad we did. They open at 5 and it got packed very quickly. Since it was Restaurant Week, that was the only menu available. That was fine with us. They had great options and at $45 for 3 courses, it was a steal. Some items had a slight upgrade, but still not bad. They also included an optional $30 wine pairing (3 different wines - 1 per course). I had the salad and it was good and filling. I didn't want to finish it because I still had two more courses to go. The smoked and roasted chicken for my entree was delicious. The sides accompanied the dish really well. Finally, the blood orange upside down cake was yummy. Everyone else got the sweet potato pie. I'm not big on pies! I had to get my favorite cocktail, "Tilted Word." I get this every time I've been here. Our server, Zoe was great. The manager, Adalike (not sure the spelling), came by to check on us. Thank you for the great service!

Yelp
This was my second time visiting since they reopened and my first time trying brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive and the interior is beautifully yet simply decorated. When ordering I was disappointed to learn the sinna-bun (their signature cinnamon bun) wasn't available--it was the main reason I chose to visit that day. Coffee drinkers should also note they serve French press but non-dairy alternatives to cream are not available. I ordered the Fried Chicken and Waffles. The bubble-style waffle was equally delicious with and without syrup and tasted just like Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies. If you're a fan of those, you'll love this waffle. The fried chicken was tender, smoky, and super crunchy but too salty for my taste. Based on temperature, it didn't seem like it was made to order or adequately heated to order, which was also a bit disappointing.

Yelp
The Tilted Row is back and with a new menu. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Shoutout to our waiter Ramona! For dinner we had the Cesar, grit bread and the blackened catch of the day which was Cod. I def will be returning and continuing to try new items on the menu. The ambiance is nice, I'm glad they took the tint off the windows. I do want to recommend them to turn down the lights just a bit but other than that the music was cool too.

Yelp
The food, the service and the vibe were all very good! I had the crab Benedict which was flavorful and def had a twist to it. Not your average Benedict at all.. Def will come back to try more of the menu!

Yelp
Food and cocktails were delicious! My husband and I had friends in town and this place came highly recommended by a friend. My husband ordered the jambalaya, beautifully plated, it was a show stopper! Smokey rice with spicy sausage full of flavor (hes African and particular about his rice dishes, he loved it!) The tilted Coddies The fish was fresh, crispy the aioli and pickled vegetables were a perfect complement, took it to the next level! The gravy on my porkchop.......was an elevated version to something my grandma would make! Long story short, we'll be back!

Yelp
Love the ambiance of the place! It feels grown and sexy! The food and service was impeccable! Their new menu is delicious and has amazing drink specials

Yelp
My husband and I visited for our first time on a Saturday evening. It was fine but, I think they are capable of better and we went (hopefully) on an "off" night. The hostess was very welcoming and sat us early for our reservation. This was the most prompt service we received. There was a party of about 25 plus a full restaurant and only 2 or 3 servers. Naturally, we got the server who also had the party. My husband and I were both servers in our younger years and simply could not believe they gave our server the party AND our table. There as no way we were getting top notch service, and it wasn't his fault. As far as we're concerned the management failed him, he did not fail us. Our drinks took forever. I didn't bother with a second but my husband ordered a second that took so long to come out we received and finished our dinners before it landed on our table. Our food was fantastic. Truly some of the best crab soup and strip steak we've had. Anywhere, not just in the city. So yeah, it was fine. Despite how good the food was, it was much too expensive for our overall experience. We might consider going back at some point but there are far too many restaurants to work through in Baltimore to worry about running back to the Tilted Row anytime soon.

Yelp
The Tilted Row has become one of my favorite go to spots in Baltimore when I just want good food and a relaxing time. I always enjoy coming here as the staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home. I especially enjoy coming here for an early lunch or dinner. Their menu is pretty consistent but they do change / add items to the menu during certain seasons. I usually don't start with an appetizer when we go so I was excited to try the SHE crab soup when we went for NYE. This had to be one of the most delicious soups I've ever had. It was packed with great flavor and the crab meat was very fresh. We also had the pork belly which was a little cold but overall also tasty. The entree is what took me by storm ! The duck was wow! I could have eaten it all day. The rice it was paired with was phenomenal and I loved the cranberry drizzle as well. I would highly recommend. I have also had the ribs which were finger licking good lol. The meat falls right off the bone. Now coming to my happy ending as I refer to dessert as never disappoints. The toffee cake with honey graham ice cream in A+++ or the apple crisp are my top favs. They also have a nice selection of spirits. They offer fun dining experiences which I would recommend try as well. I would go here for a first date, for shared apps and a cocktail or solo!

Yelp
Best restaurant week choice! TR has been on my list to try and thankfully all stars aligned for me to go during restaurant week. Will definitely be back. Food was delicious! I opted for the wine pairing. While I would have wished I had been given an explanation on the wines, each pairing made sense. Their espresso martini was a game changer! Ice cold, just how I like them. Favorite dish was the rockfish--skin was crispy and the seasoning was perfect. We had reservations and I'm glad we did. The place was packed! Not much to say about the space... minimal but if you want cute things on the table, go to a chain restaurant. This place focuses on quality food and they succeed! A+ to the hostess! Lovely Black woman--height like a model! Restaurant week isn't easy... folks like to act a certain way. She handled the crowd with grace and kindness! Deserves a raise. Some people were very disrespectful and she kept her smile!

Yelp
Titles Row is nestled in a residential neighborhood in Bolton Hill. I want to start by saying the ambiance of this place is amazing! The decor and vibe are very cozy and it makes it an ideal place for a special celebration or upscale date night with your partner. The service was impeccable from the hostess experience to our server. The server was super knowledgeable on the menu which is always a plus. The menu is pretty innovative and has a twist of Mediterranean influence. The biscuits, the darn biscuits were so good!! You must open your meal with the biscuits. I didn't even get to rake a picture that's how good they were. My partner really enjoyed his steak frites he said the steak was cooked to perfection. I got the burger and it was just ok. I do not doubt that the rest of the menu items are great! We closed out with the brown butter toffee cake which was really good.

Yelp
Went for Father's Day and for a few drinks with a friend! Went with the chefs choice which included a dessert, which was such a good choice. The food and drinks were delicious. The restaurant is clean and has a modern vibe. We had a great time with a pretty big group the one day, so they are accommodating.
google avatar

Yelp
EVERYTHING was amazing! The food, service, ambiance all top tier! This visit was a random selection due to our original choice being closed even though it took our reservation. Was my first time there and it must be an off day because it wasn't busy at all. It was also close to closing time. I love the decor and ambiance the restaurant gave. And omg the brownie????? Ugghhh....soooooo good!

Yelp
Stopped here for drinks after dinner, did not intend to eat anything, but I saw the Aleppo Shrimp Crostini and had to try. It was So worth it, Delicious. The drinks were awesome, Julian made the best Old Fashion and Manhattan we ever had. The spot is small but spacious, they made the most of this space.

Yelp
3.5. Long story short, loved the restaurant, food, and ambiance, disliked our waitress. The 20% gratuity they added was not well deserved. She wasn't particularly friendly, definitely not attentive, and I was completely underwhelmed by her. That said, I came in last Saturday (8/5) in a group of 7. We were seated quickly and I took in the space. It was BEAUTIFUL in there. Had a urban-rustic vibe that I liked a lot, plus plenty of natural light was streaming in. We were provided menus, and had the time to peruse the drink AND food menus extensively before the waitress came back. She briskly told us she preferred we order drinks and those be delivered before asking questions about entrees. Um...OK. I went with a beer per the usual, but it took some time to come out. When we were finally able to order, we got focaccia for the table. I personally went with the 3-course date night because it's the best value for 1 person. I wanted the charred octopus, pan seared halibut, and a custard-like dessert. The food was absolutely amazing! I crushed everything. That halibut may be legendary to me now. Getting and settling the check took a while. Not sure this is the trend for the whole restaurant. Maybe it was the size of our group, so I'll return by myself or with much fewer people. And I think I'd sit at the bar. Less expectation of a certain kind of service at the bar.
google avatar

Marla L.

Yelp
This place was 5 stars for me all around. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the vibe was super relaxed but sophisticated. I'm a sucka for sea bass. It's rare that sea bass is on a menu and I don't order it...and my first time at the tilted row was no exception. It was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth amazing. The fried chicken was also delish, super crispy skin if you're into that kinda thing. But the star of the show had to be the brown butter toffee cake with taharka bros honey graham ice cream. Good gracious this lived up to the hype and then some! So freakin good.

Yelp
Restaurant week to the rescue! The Tilted Row has been on my list for a while so glad I finally got to see why it has amazing reviews. A friend and I had reservations one evening and had the option of either sitting at a table near the door or the chef's table. We opted for the chef's table and got to watch the very efficient and clean kitchen at work. If you can, grab those seats. For restaurant week, they offered a course meal to include an appetizer, entree and dessert. I opted for the Chestnut Soup, mainly because I've never had it. It had a unique texture and flavor and was tasty but a little too heavy for someone who wanted to eat their dessert. Ordered the pork chop for the entree which came with polenta fries and brussel sprouts - all cooked to perfection. Lastly, I had the Brown Butter Toffee Cake and was grateful I didn't finish the soup because I had room to enjoy its deliciousness! My friend had the Charred Octopus, Duck Confit and the dessert trio. All were also delicious and I know because we tried each other's food. Additionally, our server was personable, super sweet and attentive. Gold star for customer service. We both agreed that we'll be back for the regular menu soon!

Chloe P.

Yelp
Phenomenal meal with an interesting and heartwarming menu change. The drinks are lovely as always, but the food was the star of the show. We thoroughly enjoyed the new direction and the more cohesive Southern-inspired experience. Service was quick and cordial even with new employee training at the same time. When you do have a chance to visit, we implore you to get the Sides, as many as possible. The smoky and tangy flavors are so indulging and memorable. We LOVE the Buttermilk Fried Pork Chop--it's like a Japanese Katsu with delicious Southern spices! And Save your Gritsbread Butter to try with the Seafood Cazuela accompanied bread! SO GOOD. We wish The Tilted Row massive success with this exciting and novel menu. We'll be back so soon!

Jennifer J.

Yelp
The inside of the restaurant was very nice with an open kitchen. It smelled delicious as soon as we opened the restaurant door. Food was 4 stars. Pork chop was the best juiciest I have ever tasted. Grits in the shrimp and grits were a bit runny. Service was 3 stars. Restaurant had several tables available but hostess would not let us sit at a 4 top as a party of 2. Server missed keeping our water glasses full. Server gave us a "last call" for drinks and dessert at 8:45pm so we felt a bit rushed since our reservation was at 7:45pm. Overall service was lackluster.

Lloyd G.

Yelp
The service here was great, I sat at the bar and Julian was my bartender. Very social guy, kind willing to engage and have a conversation as well as respectful. I would highly recommend this place for a date or a late dinner. Food was great by the way, I got the chicken piccata this time, and the first time I went, I ordered pork chop, which unfortunately they took off the menu and that's probably because pork is kind of been going down.

Katrina V.

Yelp
We wanted to try something new and this place has been on my list for a while. I went on their website and checked out their menu and was pumped to try it out. We showed up when it opened, without a reservation and the staff was amazing at seating us. We did come to find out it was restaurant week (which wasn't mentioned on their website) so the menu was limited. What we wanted to try and kid friendly meals were not available. The interior was great, staff amazing. Crab soup and coddie appetizers were amazing. Main course: steak and trout, not so much. Steak was bland and came on a ribbed plate that made it tough to cut the meat. We were the second table to sit and the main course came after an hour. Dessert came fast. It was delicious. Before we were even done dessert, the check was on the table. We were there 1.5+ hrs and waited an hour on the main dish.

Yelp
I've been here on multiple occasions and have yet to be disappointed. This place has awesome food with a very unique twist on classic dishes that you won't get anywhere else in Baltimore. The service is amazing and the servers are all very knowledgeable on the menu and give great recommendations. It's a cute quaint restaurant that is decorated nicely and is always clean. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Baltimore area.

Yelp
Visited during RW 2024. It was highly recommended. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and beautiful scenery. We sat at the chef's counter which was an amazing experience watching the chefs prepare all of the food. For the 1st course, I was feeling adventurous and had the charred octopus which was so delicious. For my entree, I had the steak frites medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and the fries were seasoned very well. The steak sauce on the side paired well with it. The desert was the star of the show. Brown butter toffee cake with Taharka bros ice cream *chef's kiss! I tried some of my party's food which included the rockfish, shrimp crostini, pork chop, and Turkish cigars. All of them were delicious so you can't go wrong with whichever choice. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

Yelp
The take out portions are ridiculously small to the point where it's almost laughable. Why was this $10.60???? Everytime I order this to go it gets smaller and smaller. The food itself is very good. I've been several times but because I live nearby I often get the toffee cake to go as a dessert. $10 for something that gets smaller and smaller is selfish of the restaurant. If you decide to get food from here, dine in or you'll be scammed.

Yelp
So we arrived maybe 45 minutes before closing! So I wanted to say sorry but I don't regret it!!! I loved everything that we ordered and dream about the options I couldn't have. So we started with the fried green tomatoes that came with bacon jam and pimento cheese. Now make sure you layer everything and then take a bite. Now I did have to add salt to these. Next was the grit bread... now I've never heard of anything like it before but I'll tell you I'll never forget it! When you take that first bite literal nostalgia. It will take you home and absolutely delight you. This dish is a must order! Next was the seafood cazuela. Think of seafood dip with a creole kiss. It comes along side bread but you will need a few extra pieces. Now I know you're thinking that should be it but wait there's more! So up next is this buttermilk pork chop with this gravy you should bathe yourself in. I mean this girl is the star of the show. I gave her costars of their greens and roasted potatoes. Do yourself a favor and dip those potatoes in that gravy. While getting their house hot sauce and kiss your greens with it. All that food you need a drink and I would definitely recommend, in the mood for love. I couldn't leave without talking about the personality and warmest you feel when you walk in. From the chef to the front of house manager to our server and even the server that was getting off work. Each and every one of them has an amazing spirit, love for their job, and passion for hospitality. Honestly this place is a gem and I look forward to trying their new menu and everything else that comes out this amazing place.

Yelp
I throughly enjoyed dinner at this small but mighty restaurant. I was concerned about parking, but we got there at 5pm when they open and there was plenty of on the street parking. Nestled on a quiet street within the community, they have nice bistro seating outdoors. When you enter you are greeted by warm lights and a welcoming staff. You can see the kitchen from the hostess station and I got a quick nod from the chef as I entered. I made reservations through Open Table but it really didn't start to develop a crowd until around 6:30. Our server Chelsea was wonderful and was able to give great suggestions about the menu. After going back and forth my friend and I settled on the Friday/Saturday special for $49. This includes a starter or small plate, a large plate or Main, and dessert. What a great value! I got the special Panzella Salad to start. Everything was fresh and giving summer goodness. The salad was on top on crusty bread which set on top of a pea pesto. My friend got the Shrimp Crostini and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the savory sauce was excellent. My main was the Duck Confit. The skin had be baked to a nice crisp golden brown and set on top of a charred tomato jam, grilled lemon asparagus, and fingerling potatoes cooked in duck fat. The flavors in this were electrifying. Soooo good! For dessert I had the Lavender Lemon Pot De Cream. If you love lemon like I do this is was a creamy cloud of lemon heaven with lavender sprinkled on top with a piece of lavender shortbread. My friend got the Brown Butter Toffee Cake with with Bourbon Salted Caramel, and Honey Graham Cracker Ice which had (vg) next to it so I believe it was vegan. I tasted this and that ice and caramel sauce almost had me rethinking what I got because it was so tasty and the ice cream was creamy and rich. SN: 2 minutes and 2 bites and the manager appeared asking if everything was good. My friends steak hadn't be cooked to her liking and the manager immediately apologized and had it cooked to her specifications. Chelsea also checked on us periodically to make sure everything was good and we didn't need anything. Excellent customer service.

Yelp
Wonderful service! Started off with a "In the mood for love cocktail " that was perfect. Entrees were yummy! Highlights was the desserts and coffee! The best decafe coffee ever!!! We will be back!

Yelp
Went here a few weeks ago. Despite clearly being understaffed the day I went, the staff worked so hard to provide good service and the food was great. For drinks I ordered the "smash palace" which I liked (a little sour, light and refreshing), second drink was endless summer (fruity base which was great, but the black lava salt ruined it for me, im sure others would like it). Strong drinks. Appetizer was the Moorish Eggplant, very savory with great flavor along with the bread. As my main I ordered the steak frites cooked medium, which weren't cut up like they traditionally are, but was still delicious. So tender and juicy with great flavor. The atmosphere of this place is stylish but casual. Street parking around. I felt like the price was worth the experience. Would definitely return. Side note: I went on a Wednesday when the special was Shepherds pie. I didn't get it but it seemed like people who did order were waiting a while, probably for the dish to be made as a whole because once it was ready everyone who ordered got it at the same time. Just be aware you might have to wait on this dish depending on if they have one ready when you come in.

Yelp
Good service and a cute vibe. There are three outdoor tables. Food was good. We had the pimento biscuits, steak, and salmon. The showstopper was the the toffee cake dessert with honeycomb ice cream. Cannot recommend it enough.

Yelp
I visited The Tilted Row for Restaurant Week and I must say it was pretty darn excellent. I struggled between giving 4 or 5 stars with this one but I just had to give 5. My cousin and I had a dinner reservation for Saturday night. I arrived a few minutes before my cousin did. Most other restaurants make you wait until your entire party arrives but they sat me immediately and my cousin arrived shortly after so there was no issue there. Our server came right over and explained the dinner menu and poured us some glasses of water. Since it was Restaurant Week, they were only offering the Restaurant Week menu. So I guess if anyone was there without the intention of doing Restaurant Week, I guess that kind of sucked. Needless to say, we placed our drink orders and ordered our three courses. For my drink, I had the Smash Palace which was beautifully presented and delicious. For my starter, I had the shrimp lettuce wraps which were light and tasty...a perfect starter because they weren't too heavy. For my entree, I got the coffee rubbed NY strip steak which came with fries and creamed spinach. The creamed spinach had an interesting yet tasty twist to it...blue cheese! I never had creamed spinach like this before. For my dessert, I originally chose the sweet potato cheesecake but unfortunately, they ran out so I went with the banana spring rolls. They were just ok. I think they would have been better with a scoop of ice cream or something to dip them in. Another thing that was a little interesting is how close the seats are. It can be a little cramped and pretty much impossible to be socially distanced from the next table during these covid times. Nevertheless, if you feel comfortable, you won't be disappointed in visiting The Tilted Row for food and drinks. My cousin was also pretty happy with her food as well. We agreed that we would come back again.

Yelp
Randomly selected spot for a weekend dinner. Location in the Bolton Hill area. The venue isnt that big but it has the right amount of space plus a bar to sit at. Staff is absolutely friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. Menu is a great selection of items. Mediterranean influence flavors and ingredients. Lastly, a good wine selection to lair with any dish.

Yelp
I've been interested in trying to Tilted Row for some time so I decided to visit for Sunday brunch. We were able to find parking right out front very easily. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and sat immediately. We weren't happy with our original table but the hostess was very friendly and allowed us to move to an open table of our choosing. The waiter quickly came over to welcome us and offer water. The service had been great throughout our time here. This restaurant has a nice list of liquors, wines, beers, and cocktails. I tried the, Love is the Drug I'm Thinking Of, which was a fun twist on a mimosa. Pretty tasty! For starters, we tried the Braised Rib Loaded Fries. These were so good! I would recommend trying them. For entrees, we ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and the Steak and Eggs. The Nashville Hot Chicken looked really tasty. Seems as though the hot sauce is made in-house. Even if it's not, it's a great sauce! Unfortunately, I was not impressed by the Steak and Eggs (main reason for a 3-star review). The dish was not thoughtfully plated. I requested a medium steak but it was well-done. The flavor was nice on the steak but this is not a dish I would recommend. Instead, I opted for the Tilted Burger which turned my meal around. Very juicy, well-made, flavorful burger. All in all, I enjoyed this restaurant. It's very clean and has a nice minimalistic modern decor. It feels like a cozy, neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
Loved this place! Great ambience and service; the food was good (actually, my husband said his pork chop was the best he's ever had). I had the blackened catch of the day. It was yummy. Served over hominy which I'm still trying to decide if I liked; it was tasty and different, but I'm not sure the best way to serve. Our waiter was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. We'd definitely go back.

Yelp
Yes but it closed. It's was a hit or miss restaurant. Food was always excellently prepared but some of the dishes were not for me. Service staff is good even with the amount of turn over. There were learning curve moments but they were eager to make things right.

Yelp
Ive been to Tilted row a few times and every time I come its a completely different vibe but each time its a great vibe. On my first visit it was completely empty other than me and the person I came with but service was great and the burger I ordered was cooked perfectly. Second time I came with friends and sat at the bar and the place was packed, we could barely hear each other over the noise of the place but it was a great time. I still think about the fried chicken from time to time. The chef here is pretty great! She wonderfully sweet and very imaginative with the dishes she creates. I swear I get excited every time I go because I know no matter what I order its going to be great!

Yelp
This is just a top-notch example of a restaurant in almost every particular. The small plates available at the bar during happy hour (5-6:30pm Wednesday-Friday) are delicious, filling, inexpensive and quick. The kale salad, the soups, and especially the multi-choice mac n cheese or grits dishes with a variety of protein toppings (all excellent), are especially tasty. And the drinks mixed by the bartending artistes Julian and Jack are always on point, as are their beer, wine and whiskey recommendations. I couldn't recommend it more... and I can't find anything that's really worthy of serious criticism, but I think that their regular menu is better than the pre fixe menus that they offer on holidays and other special occasions.

Yelp
I had dinner with some friends and family (group of 6) at The Tilted Row a few weeks ago before we all went to a show at the Hippodrome. I tried a little bit of everyone's entree and we shared three appetizers, so we tried a good bit of the menu. Either they change the menu up quite frequently or they don't update their menu online very often (since it doesn't match up with the menu when we were there), and I can't remember everything we ordered. We definitely did the lamb kofta, the charred octopus, and something like a Turkish cigar for appetizers. I liked the cigar best. For entrees, between us we ordered the duck confit (enjoyed by the person who ordered it, but not my favorite), a steak (not what I ordered, but probably my favorite entree), a crab cake with fennel dish, a salmon dish, a halibut dish, and the burger. We also shared two of their desserts (the brown butter toffee cake was a dream), and everyone had wine or a cocktail or two. I thought everything was good but nothing was a standout that I'd have to back and order the same thing again. Solid food, but not super memorable a few weeks after the fact. I did think the service and ambiance were great though, which is why this review is a solid four! Our server was really great, and the restaurant has very comfortable European bistro vibes! Street parking was fine even on a Saturday night! Overall, a good spot for dinner in this part of town (Bolton Hill-ish?)!

Yelp
The Tilted Row has been my favorite restaurants since I moved to Baltimore. My family and I lived in Bolton Hill so we could walk there and often did! If anyone visited I either recommended the TR or took them myself. Sadly no more. We went to brunch, excited to try the new menu. My dish, the short rib skillet, was subpar mainly because of the short rib was overcooked, dry AND cold! My waitress, who was great, noticed I wasn't eating it (I tried to eat the rest of the dish which was lukewarm) but it lacked something without the rib. Our waitress told the manager, who came over and asked was the dish OK. Well no the short rib is cold. She asked if I wanted it put back on the grill and I said no, that would make it drier and tougher. She said, OK enjoy your meal! I was shocked as was the waitress that she didn't offer to have the entire dish remade, maybe even a comp cinnamon bun. Typically I would refuse to pay for the skillet, but sometimes you just don't want the hassle. Anyway I paid the $100 bill, still left the waitress a tip. But will never return. Have never had that type of service at the Tilted Row. Buyer be aware - it is hit or miss. Too expensive when it's a miss. And just an FYI the old brunch menu was better!

Yelp
Truly, The Tilted Row is everything you want it to be in your local neighborhood restaurant. The bourbon and whiskey options are top notch, and the bartenders take so much care when crafting your cocktails. For dinner options I love the Shrimp and Grits, and the Wednesday special "Fish and Chips". The fish is fried and seasoned perfectly. For brunch I've only tried chicken and waffles with bacon. Candidly speaking there is nothing special at all about the chicken and waffles. The waffles are some of the most regular tasting waffles I've ever had in my life. You need the honey butter and syrup that accompanies the dish. The chicken is tenders, fried kind of hard, lacked flavor. We needed hot sauce; they only have tabasco. Cool! The bacon came out pipping hot, crispy with very little grease. Just how I like. I love waffles, these were a bummer. They also offer waffles alone with apple compote and a bourbon, caramel sauce. Sounds delicious! I want to try those next time. For cocktails, my friend got a regular Bloody Mary and Bloody Caesar version of the Bloody Mary. That one wasn't a fan favorite. It was sweeter and less flavorful. I went with the Love is the Drug I'm Thinking Of (New Roots Gin, cold pressed Passion Fruit Juice, Cava Rose Brut, and Grenadine). I had 2. LOVED THEM! We finished brunch with an Irish Whiskey and an Espresso Martini. Hands down, one of the best Espresso Martinis I've had in the city! 5 stars, highly recommend. It's a cool spot, nice vibe, great food, awesome cocktails!

Yelp
This is the best brunch in town. Individual French press coffee, great salads, traditional eats and even dessert if you have room. And don't forget about the cocktails! They are magical.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. There's usually free street parking since the restaurant is located in a neighborhood.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent today as always. But sad to say the open floor plan of Tilted Row (as with others of similar design) are just too loud to have a conversation with people across the table. Out of curiosity I downloaded a decibel app and sound levels were consistently in the high 80s (at 90 you get a warning that loud environments are harmful to your hearing). Washington Post article recently about Washington restaurants are installing noise reduction baffles and instituting Quiet Hours because their patrons are complaining about the noise. I hope that other restaurants follow suit.

Yelp
I came here for restaurant week with a friend and really enjoyed it! The space itself is really nice with a lot of natural light and our service was excellent! I ordered the shrimp crostini, crabcakes, and brown butter toffee cake. Everything was delicious, and the cake especially was incredible. My friend ordered the squash blossoms and the cod as well and they were also really tasty! I felt that the dishes were all fairly unique with a twist I hadn't really had before and I really enjoyed my meal! I would definitely return and think The Tilted Row is a great spot to take friends and family for a good meal. Cocktails were also really good!

Yelp
Hands down the best meal I have had in countless years. Better than my experience in NYC at a Michelin Star joint. Chef Amy at Tilter Row has skills that are worth the trip to Bolton Hill no matter where you are in metro Baltimore. Damn fine food. Missing are pictures of were Aleppo shrimp crustini app and Baltimore Gumbo. Jenn had pan seared halibut with Amba sauce. There are no pictures because we dove in and ate every bite before thinking about taking a picture. Dessert was peach crisp. Perfect amount of sweet and cinnamon. Go soon!!!!

Yelp
This is my spot!!!!! I've been here three times and I don't regret it one bit! Everything about this spot is amazing! Staff, ambiance, and food! We came in greeted by the friendly staff and was able to sit next to the chefs kitchen. Being able to see your food being made in real time right In front of you is so amazing! I enjoyed speaking with the chef and seeing how he cooked our food. I ordered the duck which was... *chefs kiss* so amazing!! The drinks were nice and strong!! And ugh- the dessert!!! We ordered the Brown Butter Toffee Cake! All together the food is not super expensive and definitely worth it!! I will definitely come again because the food is so amazing! Highly recommend to everyone!

Yelp
I had been hearing about the Tilted row for several months from various friends and coworkers and I finally decided to try them for restaurant week. We got the restaurant week menu: I got the eggplant burrata appetizer, steak frites, and chocolate tahini cake. My husband got the grilled octopus, duck leg confit, and toffee pudding. The eggplant burrata was amazing! It was light but also perfectly seasoned. The eggplant wasn't too soggy. Just perfect. The grilled octopus was very good, not chewy at all. The steak frites was a little fatty but well seasoned and cooked to perfection! I requested medium rare and that is exactly what I got! My husband's duck confit was excellent. They used a tomato jam for the confit and there was roasted potatoes and asparagus with it. Sooo good! The chocolate tahini cake was a bit dry and not my favorite but the toffee pudding was moist, not too sweet, and very good. THe restaurant itself was kind of loud and it felt modern, and trendy but casual. The staff was pleasant and we were seated within a reasonable amount of time for a Friday night without a reservation. Parking was easy and the restaurant was very clean. A very good option in the Bolton Hill area!

Yelp
Tonight I visited this cozy restaurant in the middle of a residential area. The restaurant was nice and clean with a few booths, but mostly tables and chairs in and outdoors and a nice sized bar. I ordered a burger, fries, and a brown buttered dessert. All was delicious. The burger was a bit pricey @ $20 as was the rest of their food, but I'm glad that I went and I may return.

Yelp
I apologize y'all. This draft has been sitting in my queue since 2019 but it was such a good time, I simply had to share my experience. My dining companion & I had the pleasure of enjoying a: 1) Widow Jane 10 Year: 12 New York. Water from the Widow Jane limestone mine. Butter, cream, toffee, cherry wood, olive oil. Burnt orange finis. This drink just tasted of speakeasy goodness. You felt as if u were transported into a cherry wood paneled room w/ a hidden room... only to be accessed by pulling down the correct book in the bookcase. THIS IS WHAT A DRINK IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!! SCORE!!! 2) Dark, Meanie & Stormy: This delicious version of a Dark & Stormy truly made the tastebuds dance. SCORE!!! 3) MOORISH EGGPLANT: This appetizer can with a generous smattering spicy harissa, lebne, on a crostini. The flavor profile was insane!!! SCORE! 4) CRAB DEVILED EGGS: OMG! Say it ain't so... but it was. These boiled egg white shells were stuffed with an egg inspired Old Bay mousse & chives. Perfect start to an excellent meal. 5) FIG GLAZED SALMON: Are you FRIGGIN KIDDING ME?!?! Thai was a beautiful take on salmon. Flavors were out of this world good!!! The salmon was cooked perfectly. A little underdone and it simply ooozed when u cut into it. YUMMMM!!! The fish was accompanied by a crispy polenta cake, sautéed wild mushrooms and local tomatoes. WIN WIN WIN!!!! The absolute STAR of my meal, for sure. 6) PAPPARDELLE PASTA: This was a braised lamb shoulder ragu in a decadent ras el hanout sauce. For those that don't know, bc I certainly didn't.... 'Ras el hanout is a spice mix found in varying forms in Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. The name in Arabic means "head of the shop" and implies a mixture of the best spices the seller has to offer'. All I can say is WINNER WINNER, CHICKEN (RAGU) DINNER!!!!! SCORE!!! 7) BREAD PUDDING: Now, I've never been a fan of bread pudding bc it tends to lean on the drier side for me. I tend to like my desserts more in the moist side. THIS bread pudding, however, came straight from the heavens. It was very simple yet quite complex in flavor. It was comprised of: creme anglaise, macerated cinnamon cherries, single malt caramel, whipped cream w/ graham cracker ice cream (which was AMAZING!!) & vanilla bean ice cream. SCORE!!!! I am soooooo over the moon happy that Tilted Row has come to be part of my 'hood. Wishes actually DO come true.... Sam, the owner was incredibly engaging and knew how to work a room. So happy to see someone that you can tell loves this place, in charge. Hanna was our mixologist and she was nothing short of a POWERHOUSE. She truly needs to enter mixology competitions. A true gem.
