I don’t go out for breakfast very frequently but when I do, I don’t have any problem going to a chain establishment, since so many of them serve fine meals to start your morning. A good example of a worthwhile chain specializing in breakfast is Toasted Yolk Café.
This Toasted Yolk Café is located on Washington street, in Houston’s Heights area. It’s in a brick building and it offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a pet- friendly patio. The interior seating includes a bar, tables, and booths. Beware of the stool- style seating at the bar and some of the tables. There is no back support, and it may not meet your comfort standards.
You’ll find a nice assortment of breakfast options at Toasted Yolk Café. Eggs, pancakes, omelets, biscuits and gravy, and other choices await your selection. I usually go for one of the omelets. They are made with four eggs and include hashbrowns or grits, plus toast. The hashbrowns are actually a casserole and are different from the crispy style that most of us are familiar with. If your appetite leans toward a sandwich, then one of the Arnolds is a good choice. And the power bowls are a good choice if you’re visiting for brunch.
I like the food served at Toasted Yolk Café and I find that one meal is quite filling- so much so, that I either end up taking food home or, if I finish it all, I can skip lunch. Service is friendly and prompt, and I like the location on Washington Street because it’s easy to find and they will validate your parking ticket, making your parking free. It’s a good start to any morning, and a restaurant chain that excels at most levels.
