Best Bars in Downtown Orlando, Florida | Eater Miami

"Situated in the heart of the playfully named “Barley Row,” thanks to the swath of craft breweries in the area, the Thirsty Topher takes full advantage of its location with an extensive draft list of beers almost exclusively made in Florida. Plus, the house-made sangria makes excellent use of the state’s famous oranges, creating the ideal drink to enjoy on the bar’s spacious outdoor patio on a sweltering afternoon. The Thirsty Topher is connected to Ziggie’s Pizza, so you can grab a slice to enjoy with your beer after work." - Colleen Hamilton

What a fun little taproom. Great selection of beers and ciders, and the bartender was really nice and helpful in selecting. They serve food from the little pizzeria next door, which is not owned by them, but they're connected and work together to make it happen. Definitely worth a visit!

Great neighborhood bar I wish was within walking distance of my home. Growing up in the area it's an awesome neighborhood still filled with original Florida homes. The vibe is very local but friendly still to "outsiders". 24 taps. All quality and very reasonable prices. No food officially but you can order from the pizza place next door and bring it over.

Cool looking wooden lacker tables and bar top, it was clean, great verity on the options I could chose from, great craft beers, great service from Analiese when I told her what I was looking for she delivered. She gave me multiple samples to find my favorite choice and I am very grateful.

If you're looking for that perfect low-key, no-fuss Friday night spot, The Toper Taproom & Ziggie’s Pizza is it. This cozy little dive bar hits the sweet spot between relaxed and lively — think eclectic beer list, boutique wines, and a crowd that feels more like neighbors than strangers. The pizza? Surprisingly good — crispy, cheesy, and perfect with whatever cold drink you’re sipping. There’s a rotating selection of beers (local faves and offbeat finds) that’ll please both hop heads and casual sippers. Add in some nice wine options and you’ve got choices for everyone. The outdoor seating is a major plus too — perfect for late-night convos and people-watching. This place has real character. Whether you're catching up with an old friend or making new ones at the bar, it’s got that kind of vibe you wish more places had. Definitely a go-to chill nook in the neighborhood.

Favorite bar in the neighborhood. It doesn't offer food but you may order pizza from the pizza place right next to it and eat it in the bar. They have several beers to taste, the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Definitely a place to visit.

Went on a trip bar hopping outside of my usual area I live at, this one was on my list and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice little space inside with more drafts than I would've expected and the selection was great, had 3 different beers and they were all great. Our bartender, Analise was very friendly and had a good sense of humor, I'll be sure to return!

Cool unique little place w/ lots of selections. I stoped in for just one drink while grabbing a pizza from next door. Had the cigar city cider, was excellent. Great friendly service bartender very knowledgeable about the area!

Yelp
The same old Thirsty Topher we know and love with a new name and some small changes! I just stopped in for the soft opening and even though the new bartenders are still in training, everything went smoothly. Still has the same focus on craft beers, still has two tasty sangrias on tap (blueberry red and watermelon white today), still has the same quirk decorations and cool vibe. So far the only noticeable differences are that the menu QR code goes straight to Untappd (easier to check in!) and the paper straws were replaced with sugar(?) straws. Excited to continue to visit my favorite neighborhood bar under its new moniker!

Yelp
The newly opened Topher Taproom continues the legacy of the Thirsty Topher with more beer choices, some familiar friendly faces behind the bar, and the same kind of vibe as before - but with updated equipment! The new glycol chiller is quiet as can be, so the beer pours proper temps AND you don't have to talk over the machine noise! Love that it's back open, and that new owners care to keep the old traditions going!
