The Townsend Building - 1123 Broadway

The neighborhood is wonderful, especially for design - the location is central to where we need to be and where we want to go. I like the vibe of being in a historical building, too. It's a good place to bring clients. The building is a nice community of businesses, large and small - great for networking.

Kew Management has two fantastic historic office buildings just North of the Flatiron Building on Broadway that has some fantastic small and moderate sized office spaces with unusually tall ceilings and large windows. The location is fantastic and the management team is generally responsive. In addition, appreciate the collaboration from Kew's communications team. They have always been supportive of my business - profiling my company and featuring me on their blog more than once. Check them out!

Horrible infrastructure. The cleaning staff and some of the doormen are GEMS but try to get a hold of the Kew office and they transfer you around than ignore your call if you don't want to leave a voicemail and call back. Serious sanitation issues are occurring in bathrooms--on one floor someone smearing feces--and nothing is done. They make the AMAZING, friendly, caring maintenance man clean it up without doing anything to prevent it. When you call to inform them, they ignore you. Kew--you need to do better. Your building is mediocre but sufficient; however, you fire the BEST most friendly doormen (for no reason!) who actually pay attention and follow protocol; and while some of the remaining ones are pleasant and do their job, many look miserable and are always on the phone shouting into it. Yuck.

Worst management and bad accounting. Never have I had to show proof of payment so many times - they will try to double charge you rent. Stay away from this company and they up your rent way over market annually.

Yes, excellent building, but I agree with the other review. Remarkably rude management, especially the head of their leasing - she is difficult to get a hold of, even more difficult to approach, and loves to stonewall clients she doesn't want to lease in the building. It's almost a shame that the building is in a great location and has good views.

Building is great, but management awful, abusive and unaccommodating. Once you get in, you will be billed for everything and anything including hallway lightbulbs and other people's electric bill. Then they will add fee after fee after fee. Loved the neighborhood, when my lease expired, I moved down the street to another building with much more helpful, reasonable and responsive landlord.

Building overall is good but management is BAD. They are rude and irresponsible.

Just moved into 1133 Broadway. Everything was really smooth in the move in and they were all very helpful. Lots of awesome lunch spots and places to have meetings in the neighborhood. Really convenient subway access also. The staff has been responsive. So far so good.

I've been in 1133 Broadway for a few months now. Incredible location, staff have been very helpful, and I love having access to the business center. Clients frequently comment on how nice it is to be next to the park.
