A decent spot near Memorial Stadium and the Space Needle, we came here for dinner and drinks. The cocktails were superb, and we were lucky enough to come on the last night of a guest kitchen (Tiger's Eye) which served great Asian dishes. Service was a bit slow, only due to the fact that there was one person working the entire place. As LGBTQ+ as it comes, everyone should feel welcome here.

Rebecca Cooper

Google
Delicious gochujang wings with an excellent crunch, the Tom kha gai was delicious, and the drinks excellently made. The vibe was unexpected - more of a sports bar vibe than I expected but still very enjoyable! Having a great time being goofy as heck with my friend by dancing to and singing the music at him

Google
I ordered the Tom Kha soup with prawns ($17), and it was served to me in a can that was just over half full. My water was served to me in a disposable plastic cup and even after sitting empty for several minutes, I never got a refill. Overall, I was pretty unimpressed.

Google
This is a fun Queen Anne Gastropub type of vibe. We went here before going to a show at Climate Pledge Arena. Things are on the price your side, but well-made. The cocktails are very good and the food was good. The services solid, but quite slow. We waited a while for each round and The Food seem to take quite some time.

Google
Nice bar, well supplied, and a nice tiny kitchen. Parking is a tad tight, being lower QA. Nice Happy Hour, quite busy during pre-game times.

Google
Service was good and the drinks were fine but the food was beyond extremely disappointing, especially for an award-winning, recommended bar/restaurant. Nothing seemed or tasted like it was made in house...everything we ordered was exactly like the frozen items we all buy at Costco and Trader Joes. The one unique item we tried was Tina's Tom Kha Soup served in a sad coconut milk can. It was inedible. What we thought were chunks of chicken turned out (we think) to be big, un-chewable chunks of raw ginger. The one piece of chicken someone was brave enough to try, was very rubbery. The jazz entertainment was very good (highlight of the evening) but then was too loud to hold a conversation.

I visited this place on a Friday evening. I liked the overall decor of the place. The highlight of the place was the food. Everything that I ordered was extremely delicious. I ordered Chicken Skewers, Garlic Prawn Taco, Tina's Tom Kha soup, the special appetizer of the day. I liked how all the dips were made. They were all full of flavours. I ordered a few cocktails and I enjoyed their Espresso Martini the most. Their playlist was good too. I'll definitely visit this place again. I highly recommend this place.

Google
Great atmosphere, delicious food & James was by far one of the best bartenders we’ve experienced, attentive, professional, and friendly! Highly recommend for good vibes, food & drink!

Yelp
5 stars -- Everything Was On Point: Food, Service, Ambiance My boyfriend and I stopped by The Traveling Goat last night (Friday, June 13th) since we live right upstairs, and we were seriously impressed. Steve was holding it down behind the bar all by himself--taking orders, mixing drinks, bussing tables--and still gave amazing service. Super friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience feel personal. The food was amazing. Way better than your typical bar fare--everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and came out hot and fast. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they're serving. Service was excellent, especially considering Steve was running solo. We never felt like we were waiting too long or overlooked. He made sure everyone at the bar and tables was taken care of. Ambiance was warm, cozy, and welcoming. Great lighting, chill music, and a vibe that works whether you're out on a date or just grabbing drinks with friends. It feels like a true neighborhood gem. Super lucky to have this spot right downstairs--we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We want to like Traveling Goat, but unfortunately out of the three times we've gone we've been disappointed twice. The first time we ordered buffalo wings and cocktails and had a great time. The wings were crispy and the drinks were tasty and strong. The second time we ordered gochujang wings, tacos, and drinks. The wings were covered in just straight gochujang which was a little disappointing. We would have preferred more of a sauce, with some soy sauce and/or honey to balance it out. The tacos were pretty good, but our main issue is that the bartender forgot about my boyfriend's drink. We figured it was just a one-time thing because there was only one guy taking orders, making drinks, bringing everything else, but unfortunately we had the same thing happen again. Once again, we ordered a couple drinks and the bartender forgot about my boyfriend's drink. The place was pretty busy, and once again it was one guy handling everything. I don't know what the problem is, if they need a better system of taking orders or if they need better staffing. Either way, this place has a lot of potential and it's unfortunate to see it wasted with bad service.

Yelp
What's going on? Used to really like this place and come regularly. Service lately in the last weeks (perhaps months?) has illustrated nothing but a cheap dive bar. We wish the place would train better or at least expect more from their workers. Didn't buy food this time-- wasn't worth our money or time. But still supported their business. Our server was abysmal in his service and he smelled soooo bad. I'm sorry, as a grown person you should maintain your personal hygiene. Ugh.

Yelp
this place doesn't have paper menus. here's the issue: - QR codes are inherently unsafe (malicious links, no verification of destination, malware, etc) - connecting to public wifi -- what the server recommended -- is SO UNSAFE (man in the middle attacks, session hacking, rogue hotspots, data theft, etc). - people with lower-income may not be able to afford a smart phone or have an older model that doesn't offer QR scanning capabilities. - excludes people with disabilities that might have a hard time using the internet. normally I don't like to leave bad reviews, I just don't go back. but more and more business owners make decisions that are easier or cheaper for them, such as QR codes and understaffing, but its not good for the employees or customers. customers not only pay more for our meals due to rising food prices but also face the social pressure to tip adequately, even when the cost of dining has increased and the level of service has decreased. traveling goat had one server for a full house. they suggested I connect to wifi to access the menu because they don't have any printed ones. not even one as a back up. it was so busy after ten minutes I didn't even have water. he was very nice about it and tried to apologize for something that is out of his control. after I was unable to access the food and drink options at traveling goat, I left and went to a different place where I was able to read about the food on a menu and compare more than one item at a time because its not displayed on a tiny screen.. the server came around with water without being asked, actually took my order, brought my food out, and they even asked if everything was okay a couple of times. what an amazing time, kind of like a real restaurant.. I gave my server a huge tip! all because they are given adequate resources to actually do their job. in conclusions: I love when businesses save money on staffing and supplies so the owners can get massages and take vacations.

Yelp
We weren't able to eat here bc it's for 21+ which we didn't know. Maybe I missed that, but traveling with kids and it had great reviews so we were excited to try it. However after realizing we couldn't eat there, the people drinking at the bar were super friendly and locals and had some great recommendations. The bar tender was not from the area and was not super friendly, but if we didn't have our kids I would try this place. It would have been nice to see that it was only 21+ somewhere on their website or Yelp or Google page for people who are visiting.

Yelp
Holy guacamole the food here is phenomenal! Fresh ingredients, purrfectly prepared dishes and consistently delicious every time! I've tried a lot of their dishes and they never miss. Their service is equally phenomenal! Alice & Steve are super welcoming! Today I had their fish tacos and it was so heckin tasty that I was nodding the whole time in complete bliss! Thank you Tina! You're objectively the best! I don't like my food drenched in sauce because I want to actually taste the ingredients. Also they remember you which is a nice touch :) Ani approved!

Yelp
Small tapas and a drink prior to going to a Krakens game. It was low key and I felt welcomed. I read my book and ate at the bar. The dumplings were good, the cauliflower was great, my water glass was never empty. Would come again!

Yelp
Came back for another Christmas Eve! Pretty quiet except for the woman singing along to the music, which we enjoyed. Ordered coconut shrimp with French fries-yummy even though dark brown (the shrimp). Also fish tacos and larb tacos. Both really good, and the larb could be a new favorite except it was so spicy! At least 3 stars, hotter than i would order. Great service and good martini. Tried the Pinot noir, which was excellent, but didn't work with extra spicy larb!

Yelp
Cute spot, decent food, and good happy hour! Stopped in for happy hour! For a spot right by Climate Pledge, it's pretty decently priced, and the food is good! We got wings, fried wontons, and the larb tacos. I'm a big fan of the tacos, perfect amount of spice. I regret not getting more. The Buffalo wings were lowkey so spicy, had to drown them in ranch to honk em down LOL. The tacos were definitely standout among the other items we got. Would definitely stop in again for a quick eat.

Yelp
Good vibe at this bar for sure, but I felt betrayed by the portion sizes of food. I thought the prices were looking so fair, and yeah, because you get 3 pieces of cauliflower for your cauliflower wings. 3 halved spring rolls. I just can't believe no one mentioned the serving sizes. I know they were appetizers, but we were hoping to share.... that was not an option. I felt like going somewhere else to eat, and we went there, to eat. I'm sure the main dishes are larger, but I'm an appetizer person. Disappointed.

Amy L.

Yelp
The service was great and they were very nice however my boyfriend got the halibut sandwich which was $18 and it clearly was frozen fish and NOT worth the money. It was disappointing because we saw great reviews and made the trip before our concert.

Yelp
I love traveling goat! Great place for happy hour - everyday 4-5 AND during every home kraken game. Their happy hour menu is pretty solid! $8 martinis, lemon drops, and cosmos is a steal + a solid food menu. I've had their pot stickers and tacos and was impressed especially for the price. Relatively small space, but very cozy and cute in the best way.

Yelp
Both the food and the drinks were really good! The food was especially fresh and flavorful compared to typical bar food. The drinks were excellent, without too much ice or being too strong. The vibe was pretty chill and it gave off local neighborhood hangout. The whole place was welcoming and calm. The service was excellent and the bartender was really helpful and friendly when he came over to check in with us.

Yelp
Finally stopped by Travelling Goat and had a fun night here. They have a good variety of food and cocktails. From their food we ordered their garlic edamame, wings, cheesy tots, butter chicken tacos, fried ravioli, fried spring rolls and they all tasted great. Now the drinks were really good - loved their cold brew martini, whisky sour and the bartender did a good job of surprising us with different drinks based on what we requested and our palette. The place is relatively quaint and has semi-speakeasy vibes which I like. I always go here on weekdays to avoid weekend rush and always have a seat. Since this is queen anne, parking can be a pain. Overall I like this place and will stop by again.

Yelp
I get my hair done next door a few times a year and always come in after my appointment - I really look forward to it. Everyone in here must think my hair just looks amazing all the time, haha...insert many laughing emojis here. Always great service from bartender/owner, Steve, and I love the creative craft cocktails. He's an intuitive dude, and I feel like even when I can barely articulate what I'm in the mood for, he can bust out something on the fly that's perfect. Food-wise, everything is good, but the tacos are a must-try. My photo of tacos is outdated - this was a former happy hour special, I think from our very first visit, but they still have 3 different delicious taco flavors on the current menu. I think my fave is the spicy larb, but I'd take any of them any day of the week. I'd eat anything there, to be completely honest with you. If you're looking for a 32 oz porterhouse steak or whatever, you might be disappointed, but for super flavorful small plates, this is where it's at. I also appreciate that the vibe has always been super chill, even when there's an event in the neighborhood. Maybe it does get crazy, I don't know; I'm never out past like...8pm. Every time I've been in, I've ended up in a really fun and unexpected conversation when I wasn't even intending to be social. But I've never seen it descend into utter chaos and debauchery like some of the other neighborhood joints, and I am so glad for that. Grownups like to tie one on, too, sometimes! Get off our lawn while we drink our fancy cocktails and eat our larb tacos in peace, discussing Bob Dylan deep cuts or whatever.

Yelp
Fun bar! Great service and humorous decor. The night we came in they had a Speed Dating event and I hear they host many other varieties of events. We didn't try food but ratings suggest it's solid. We will be back if we are on this side of town!

Yelp
Stopped by for a few drinks after a concert at Climate Pledge Arena. Tried to get into Toulouse first but they were closed and directed us here. Cool decor and vibes and great drink selection!

Yelp
The featured Drink is the Passengers 75 and being a huge French 75 girly myself, I wanted to try it. We were headed to the Seattle Rep for the Passengers show and read online to come to the Traveling Goat for this drink that would take you back in time. The ambiance here is casual and there is mainly seating for pairs. They have a really nice signature cocktail menu and although we came for the Passengers 75, my husband and I went with the "Lets Go Camping" and the "Choose Your Adventure" instead. Both were a 5/5, really good and kind of strong. We thought about ordering another round but there was just one person working the bar and the restaurant was getting busier so he didn't come back around to us. After awkwardly sitting around a few minutes we didn't want to cut it too close for our show time so we decided to walk up to the bar to pay. The drinks were good though so I guess I'd try sitting right at the bar if your just coming in for a drink.

Yelp
Good Tapas and wine. Very small and cozy I had a yummy cocktail Look forward to trying other things

Yelp
We went out of our way to try this place based on Yelp reviews of restaurants nearby the Hampton Inn. I wish we could have arrived for happy hour but our plane was delayed, so we were eating at 8:30 pm. No greeting as we walked in. Had to ask about seating (seat yourself) and the menus? (scan the QR code). Bartender is working behind the bar AND serving the 9 people in the "dining area." Service was average minus. Didn't even receive a water refill. Dinner selections we chose: Tom Kha soup. Sorry we are out of that and the spring rolls. Southeast Asian salad add chicken. Literally looks like they dumped a pre-bagged salad pouch from the grocery store (think coleslaw packs), added cucumber, tasteless tomatoes and white meat chicken from a CAN. On top of that it was a very small salad for $14 This should NOT be on the menu at all. Hummus was good. As were the small pita breads. But a rather small portion for $10. Fried cod tacos - very good. But two tacos with no sides were $13. Overall value very poor. Food - hit and miss. Service was just there. Recommended? Not by me. https://www.travelinggoatseattle.com/menu

Yelp
I loved the vegetarian options for small bites here, and that it is dog friendly! My friends and I shared the cheese wontons, the fried spring rolls (both had a great dipping sauce), and the garlic parm fries. The bartender brought a little bowl of water for my old dog, and it was just delightful.
google avatar

Alicia M.

Yelp
Cute little bar in QA. My friend had suggested this place for drinks as she had her pup with her and she knew Traveling Goat was dog friendly. We enjoyed some good cocktails and ended up getting some small bites as well. Seems like the food and cocktails rotate frequently based on other reviews. I hope to come back again!

Yelp
Incredible bar with amazing drinks, live jazz music, and phenomenal food! I had the wonderful opportunity of living nearby for a few months with my partner and we had an absolute blast each time we came here. The owners are so sweet, the husband works the bar and the wife works the kitchen. The drinks and food are AMAZING! Plus the Jazz bands they bring were super talented and made the experience so enjoyable. So sad that we don't live there anymore and we miss The Traveling Goat so much!

Yelp
We stopped by for happy hour, and the service put this to a 5-star. The food, on its own, was pretty terrific, too. The drink menu isn't very extensive, but is well curated. My wife loved her lemon drop, and the IPA recommended by our waiter was very nice. I had the Larb tacos. Sooooooo hot and wonderful. The shell was larger, and the stuffing more extravagant than I expected. Spicy! Be prepared and have a full beer nearby. My wife started with the garlic edamame followed with spicy tofu tacos (not on the menu, but when asked for a veggie dish, it was offered). Both were terrific. Our dining companions enjoyed their salt and pepper crispy wings and fried spring rolls. If you are attending something at the Seattle Center, give this place a try. Wait, even if not going to an event at the Center, give this place a try.

Yelp
I am upping this place to 5 stars. Steve the owner is so friendly and awesome. The customer service here is unbeatable. I feel like I am coming over to a friend's home when I come here. Oh and the food is awesome. I am trying every dish they have and loving it. Tator tots, pot stickers, large tacos, burger, and wings..I am becoming a regular here and I love it. I also love that it is well behaved pet friendly. All the pups heee are so well behaved. It feels little bit like European restaurants where all the well behaved pets hang out like human. Another secret. Great customized dirty martini for 8 dollars on happy hour. Really?? Can't beat that. I love the chef and the owner teamwork here!!

Yelp
Bailey is the best drag bingo caller caller in All of Seattle! free bingo on Mondays! ‍ We came from Arizona just to play bingo here!
google avatar

Aravind V.

Yelp
The small bites are Asian fusion themed, and they hit the spot just right. The drinks were also quite good, and they had a pretty good selection of cocktails and beers. Staff was super friendly and they had great suggestions for what to order. The one thing I wished could've been better is that the Happy Hour deals were not thaaaat much better than normal prices, but I'm just being nit picky at this point. This place is great and I would absolutely go again!

Yelp
Great vibe and ambiance! Went before a kraken game! Service was great and food was tasty!

Yelp
Okay to be honest we found this on the Yelp App and the tag that they had " Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey " sold me! I'm always hunting a good Whiskey and something new is always intriguing. We arrived slightly after opening one afternoon and were pleasantly greeted by the owner, his wife is the Chef! What a great place, the conversation was amazing and the story of their life and travels and decided to buy and open this bar we're awesome! The food was just as amazing as the bar was welcoming! Be sure and ask them about the name because one it's a great story and two I can't do everything for you!

Yelp
I was sad to see Atlas go but the Traveling Goat is a perfect new restaurant in its place! We stopped in after a show at the Seattle Rep and were lucky enough to meet the owner and his wife. They were a really sweet pair and I'm so happy they moved into this space. The food and drink options here are really good and nothing takes more than 5 minutes once you've ordered. Good service and good options makes for a perfect after show stop! Seating is limited in here but there is a lot of standing room around the bar area. Parking in lower Queen Anne is also a challenge but this restaurant is conveniently located adjacent to the now closed Peso's restaurant (owned by the adjacent Toulouse Petit restaurant). I look forward to future visits to this place in the future and you will, too!

Nathalie B.

Yelp
Finally got to check out this bar after a show at the Climate Pledge Arena and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The bartender was helpful and so quick at making the drinks! I asked what he could do with the Tamarindo flavored Smirnoff I saw on the shelf and he said a mule. It was delicious! The music in there had me in a good mood and it was overall just a great vibe. We definitely look forward to going back.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
Came here after a Kraken game to keep the evening going and to wait for traffic to die down. We were greeted promptly upon entering, and seated quickly. We ordered a few cocktails--espresso martini, gold rush--both were great and pretty strong! We also ordered pot stickers and garlic shrimp tacos. The tacos were a hit! Pretty heavy on the garlic, but we didn't mind. Will definitely save this on my list of favorite spots in LQA.
google avatar

Yelp
Met up with a few friends here at this Queen Anne bar/neighborhood restaurant. The owners, Steve and Tina created a warm and welcoming spot. The happy hour bites are delicious. Its Asian/Thai inspired fusion and seriously so good! From the small plates, I definitely recommend you also try the buffalo style cauliflower wings. I could have eaten two more plates. The regular wings are good, too! Don't miss Tina's Tom Kha soup. More please! The signature cocktails are very good. The one that stood out for me was the "It's Summer Time Somewhere." I also mentioned I've been wanting to try an espresso martini and Steve whipped one up for me and now I'm a fan. The place has a really cozy ambiance and if I lived in the neighborhood I know this would be one of my regular spots.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this bar, great food and drinks and people. Always a good time, been in the neighborhood for a while and this turned into my go-to spot.

Yelp
Amazing! Seriously, you're in for such a treat. We wandered in expecting another quint dive bar and were in no way prepared for such a wonderful experience. Casual eloquence where you still feel comfortable. The service was great, the drinks tasty and the food incredible. We had a chance to meet the owner/chef Tina who left us feeling like family. Later in the evening they had a live jazz band. Not a college dive, great place for a date! Oh, we'll be back!
google avatar

Yaminee P.

Yelp
I love the this place! Their food is unique and super delicious. My personal favorites are the cauliflower wings and wontons. This is a great first date spot nestled in Uptown. The couple who owns the place is also incredible and they support local artist which is a great plus. Overall I love the ambiance and treats here.

Yelp
Alright, so get ready for something really special. My girlfriend and I visiting her daughter who just happens to live right up the street from this real gem. Like a great meal, there are many ingredients that go into making a spot like this. The atmosphere is terrific, we got lucky and the four of us shared a low table with a sofa and a couple of chairs. Very quickly our waiter appears and takes our drink orders and cheerfully answered a variety of questions we had about the various cocktails. He was wonderful. Very cheerful, informative, patient and retrieved our drinks and subsequent food in quick order. I had the pot stickers which had a bit of crisp in the outside and delicious filling, but the real star was the Tom Khai soup. Believe me when I tell you that it was life changing. I made a point of heading to the kitchen to tell the chef how incredible it was, she was so appreciative and happy. This is the kind of place that everyone wishes they had within walking distance but so many seldom do. Don't hesitate, slide into a table and get ready for a wonderful evening.
google avatar

Melody S.

Yelp
Love this place! Their happy hour, food, drink, vibe is a great experience. Bartender is on top of everything, makes good drinks and truly cares about the customer. Stopped in after walking 5 miles around Queen Anne and were thirsty. Ordered the HH dark & stormy, the HH lemon drop, Larb and butter chicken tacos, crispy hand breaded wings, cheesy tots, and cobalt rush. My favorite things were the butter chicken tacos (so good!!) and the dark & stormy. The Larb is pretty spicy and I have a zero spice tolerance, but my husband who loves spice enjoyed them. The wings are awesome if you love crunchy and savory. Bingo seems pretty popular here though we did not play. It can get a bit loud with the game so if you're seeking a more intimate experience be mindful of this :) Cheers and see you next time Traveling Goat!

Phanida A.

Yelp
Excellent food, I loved the crispy spicy wings and loaded tots. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The bartender made great mixed drinks and ice cold beer on tap. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Yelp
Where do I start?? The owners are so polite and personable and the food is wonderful!!!!! The coconut prawns blew my mind!!! I love coming here when it's slow and when it's busy. They never miss either way and being in the neighborhood it's now my go to spot for a great drink and a good atmosphere.

Yelp
Visiting Seattle found this gem! Nice bar, nice people and friendly owners! Happy hour 3-6 and some excellent menu choices! Can't wait to visit next time we're in town.

Yelp
Ok I don't understand the almost 5 star reviews for this place (which is why we went there). It was so average and unimpressive. We had the Asian salad and it was basically like the bagged salads you buy at the store but without the yummy wontons & nuts and kinda tasteless. The coconut shrimp and fries were fine, just fine. Nothing special. And the fries were actually lame--McDonald's are better. The cauliflower wings were ok. The cocktails were premade and ok. Ambience was unremarkable. Service was adequate, server was nice. Maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff?? I'm so confused. Spent almost $100 and very disappointed. There are so many better places to go.

Yelp
Very cozy and warm little place. The environment is inviting, mellow and low key. They have various food items such as dumplings and tacos. I didn't try the food as I had already eaten but def will be coming back to eat here. As for the service, it was excellent. Very friendly kind professional staff. The drinks were great too!! Very tasty and a variety of options! Not too busy so there's plenty of seating. GO PAY THIS PLACE A VISIT, ITS SO WORTH IT!!!!!
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
This place is fabulous!!! The drinks are great! I had a modified espresso martini...or maybe two. The bartender was very accommodating and whipped up something based on what I was in the mood for. Although the drinks were great... the young jazz players were AMAZING! Seriously...AMAZING! If you like jazz and great drinks...THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!! I highly recommend!
google avatar

Angel N.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night and it was not busy. The ambiance itself was really nice and clean and the mid/low lighting gave it a chill atmosphere. The food itself was good, not amazing but good. The Tom Kha soup stood out amongst the tater tots and pot stickers that I tried. Dogs are allowed.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
We tried out this new spot for our weekly happy hour, and it did not disappoint! I am always looking for great dog friendly spots, and they welcomed my Frankie girl with open arms! The happy hour menu was great - the cream cheese wontons, pot stickers, and cheese curds were incredible. I also tried the brioche grilled cheese. If you know me, you know I am the GC queen. It was DELICIOUS! The drinks were awesome. My group had a mix of the cocktails, beer. and wine. Nothing but compliments all around. The service was also top notch. The owners are a husband and wife team, and they took great care of us. Can't wait to come back!

Came here on a Monday night, not knowing about the regularly scheduled drag bingo, but it turned out to be a fun and unique experience. I didn't have any of the food, but the beer was good! Service was friendly, and a bit slow but I think that's because of the event going on
