Amazing place to visit. Lovely exhibits indoors and outdoors. A great day trip option from Oslo. Good for kids!

The Twist is an art museum located in Jevnaker, Norway. Completed in 2019, it is part of the Kistefos Museum and Sculpture Park. The museum's design is distinctive for its twisted, angular form, which gives it the appearance of a sculptural bridge. It spans the Randselva River and connects the two riverbanks. Designed by the architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), The Twist serves as both an exhibition space and a bridge, blending art, architecture, and nature. The museum hosts contemporary art exhibitions and has quickly become a notable cultural attraction, celebrated for its innovative design and scenic setting within the sculpture park.

This architecture and gallery is worth while the 1 hour trip from Oslo despite there is much more to see in terms of outdoor sculptures at Kistefos Museum. The Twist is an amazing piece of architecture that looks like a simple twisted walking tunnel over the water, but coming inside it is surprisingly voluminous and beautiful. All white with twisted panels that enhances the art and their colours. Dont forget to visit the toilets with the sculpture of a man peeking in from outside and the toilet lockers with exciting live art on the walls, all different in each locker so you have to visit the all of them. I walked through the gallery structure twice in awe. What a stunning building! Make sure you observe it from all sides as well as the downstairs space.

An interesting amusement park for the whole family. A bus from Oslo will take you directly to the park.

It was more than what we expected. Great to go on a day with good weather. Bring a change of clothes for kids who may go in for water-play on a hot day. There's a lovely park inside for picnic. Seems like there are more things coming soon so we might visit again when that is done.
