Bubbles and Buds Abound at D.C.’s Color-Soaked Uncaged Mimosas  - Eater DC

"Chef Damian Brown turns the weekend meal on its head by offering brunch every day, all day at his new Uncaged Mimosas. Brown’s wonderfully wacky waffle and flavor combos at Uncaged Chefs in District Heights helped catapult the comfort foods wizard into Instagram stardom, with well over 230,000 followers. Brown brings his 'no rules, just good food' motto to Truxton Circle with the January opening of Uncaged Mimosas in the former Anxo Cidery space." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy

Over 20 Anticipated Spring Restaurant Openings to Track Around D.C. - Eater DC

"Experimental chef Damian Brown, a comfort foods wizard with a crazy Instagram following for his wonderfully wacky waffle and flavor combos, brings Truxton Circle a vibrant, mimosa-fueled offshoot of his wildly popular, all-day District Heights brunch spot Uncaged Chefs. For Brown’s first D.C. proper project, sliding in ANXO Cidery & Pintxos Bar’s former address, he imports popular creations like Cinnamon Toast Crunch-topped fried chicken on French toast waffles and a salmon cake Benedict with cilantro hollandaise and sweet pepper relish on a tater tot waffle. The upbeat, two-story replacement to Anxo, complete with a Rick and Morty wallpaper motif, lives up to its new name with a dizzying assortment of mimosas in every color of the rainbow (plus lots of slushy brunch drinks)." - Tierney Plumb

I went to this cute restaurant on a weekday for lunch with coworkers. The food was very good and the decor was nice. All orders had to be made through an app and the tip was paid in advance. I didn't care for giving the tip in advance. But thank goodness the service was good. Plan to search for street parking or take a Uber.

The decor was cool but the food and service were amazing. Our server Gigi was bubbly and helpful, both in helping with what to order and being a photographer for us. All of our food was excellent but the stands outs were the Brussels sprouts and the snickerdoodle banana pudding. Worth the visit just for them!

From the hostess who greeted us, the server who helped us with drinks and the bartender, the food runner and last but not least compliments to the chef. The food was hot and flavorful. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits, the biscuits, and wings oh my my!! My cousin found this place from tiktok. If your in the Washington DC area go check it out.

I walked it with no reservation and was able to sit and 1 of the 2 bars. The service, food and ambiance were great. Keon was super attentive, had fast service and made delicious drinks. The serving size makes the price worth it. My only criticism would be that the chairs at the bar were extremely uncomfortable..I was sliding off the chairs the entire time.

*Excellent Restaurant!* I recently dined at Uncaged Mimosas, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, with a menu that offers a wide variety of options, each dish prepared to perfection. The drinks were equally impressive, with a well-curated selection of cocktails, wines, and other beverages. What really stood out to me was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the staff. They were not only professional but also genuinely welcoming, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just want a great meal in a fantastic setting, I highly recommend Uncaged Mimosas. This is a restaurant that truly knows how to take care of its guests!

Went to this place 3/25 and I can say I’m not impressed with the service. Our reservation was at 1pm and we arrived at 1:05 and didn’t get seated till 10 mins later. It took us over an hour to get our alcoholic drinks. Then it took an additional 20 mins to get our food. And they never brought out my mashed potatoes I also ordered. They can put flowers on top of my food but can’t remember to bring out my side order. There were several people seated after us that received their food and drinks before we did. Definitely did not receive fast service since it also took the waitress a while to even come to our tables with water. Would not return to this place and the food items are also pricey just to receive decent tasting food and weak drinks. And the lamb chops were so small and only came with 3. And be aware of the “subject to change” daily menu because I’m confused why my yams had cereal on top of it when the menu said it comes with marshmallows on top of the yams . I Complained to the manager but only got a small portion of the bill discounted. The Total was still $100 afterwards even after receiving poor service. I would avoid this place at all cost there are much better black owned brunch spots in DC to give your money to.

Came for a Wednesday meal. The food was amazing. Really great service especially while they are taking reservations. Shawon was a great server. Definitely get the lamb chops and Brussels sprouts. The wings were great too-all 3 flavors.
