One of the best UPS stores, customer service wise I’ve ever been in. Extremely helpful with all services especially the owner Jenny. She is adorable, She came down after hrs. On numerous occasions to open the store so I could receive my important packages and business dealings. Top rated service and professional manner of conducting a smoothly run business in my opinion. I’ve been a box holder at this UPS store for over 10 years now, and the staff is wonderful, and I feel relieved knowing that all of my mail (personal and business) is in good hands. Jenny runs a well-oiled machine, and they handle an enormous amount of business and endless Amazon returns amazingly well, especially given their limited staff. As a box holder, I can’t say enough good things about this place.

I went in to drop off my prepaid package already labeled, packed and ready to go but had the wrong label because it was a phone and it needs to go air but the phone company gave me a ground label and Molly explained it really well that I understood and called the phone company for them to get me the right shipping label. Do not go there unless you have no choice. They charge you 0.49 to print a label, but 2.99 to email to them. Void this place and that Korean Lady is racist as hell.

Jenny and Molly knows all the mailbox holders numbers and names which is amazing. They have the boxes/packages ready when I walk in even though they are always slammed with drop offs and returns. My favorite UPS store!

I've had nothing but great experiences here. They are super busy with all the Amazon stuff flowing through them, and there does seem to be a lot of staff turnover but as a customer I've found everyone to be friendly. I greet them kindly and with empathy, and have been offered the same in return.

Find employees that are willing to assist customers. The lady shushed me while she was counting boxes. She then yelled at another customer to go into line. I patiently waited until I thought she was finished counting boxes. Then, she started counting another batch to where I decided to leave. Extremely rude. Save yourself time and go elsewhere.

I noticed the reviews for our locally owned and operated UPS Store are filled with unpleasant people, pathetically complaining about such things as being charged for tape. Grow up and stop looking for handouts! And I must say the employees are wonderful, not hesitating to help with my shipping needs, always pleasant and jovial. I can only imagine the people saying otherwise are the sort of people we all wish would leave our beautiful island in peace and stop trying to turn it into California. Rudest people on the island! I watch them actively turned down customers and told them to go elsewhere. When I had my return they wouldn't let me have a $0.02 piece of tape. They demanded I buy a whole roll for $7. Terrible customer service

First of all I have to say the staff at this UPS store were very friendly and helpful!! That said, I could not recommend this store for shipping items. I got an online UPS quote for shipping and right away the staff warned me that their owner/manager sets his own pricing. The price quoted was DOUBLE the online quote! I had 5 large boxes and probably saved around $1000. by taking them to UPS customer service at the airport I know this is a franchise but what an incredible rip off. Glad I had the time to check out other options.

OMG! It was a bad enough that there was only one employee servicing a line of customers that reached the far side of the store, but to make it even more unbelievably horrible, the woman behind the counter charged me $2 for a couple pieces of clear tape to seal a box! Only made worse by how smug and unapologetic she was about it. Like she enjoyed the complete power play of sticking it to me. Everyone has a right to hate their job, but it's not okay to take it out on people you're paid to help.

We ended up buying so many things in Kona that we couldn't close our suitcases. UPS Store to the rescue! They had various sizes of shipping boxes and tape, so we had an easy time packing our stuff and shipping it. We visited just as the UPS truck arrived to pick up, and the store had a TON of stuff to ship - this location is quite busy, especially since the other location by the airport closed. There were three staff on hand: a friendly young man, the woman who manages the place, and the woman's puppy. Everything seemed fine to me; I can only guess that the bad reviews of the manager must be from people unaccustomed to Hawaii's no-nonsense aunties. Yes, everything comes at a price (even tape) because everything has to be imported. That's not her fault, it's just a fact of life. I have no problem recommending this place; we had great service.

I've given this UPS store the benefit of the doubt. The women are just rude, even if just calling to ask a question. I recommend going to Longs Drug Store for UPS returns. A little politeness to your customers goes a long way!

WARNING DO NOT go to this UPS location!!!! I stated my experience earlier on yelp and then received a reply on Yelp saying that they were looking into the matter and to email them so they could follow up with me. Well.... 1) I emailed ....and included my phone number.... and no one has followed up via email or phone. 2) Now "miraculously" my package is lost and did not arrive to its destination I would recommend going to USPS until this UPS operates with integrity and professionalism.

This UPS Store is the WORST! Toxic environment. Bad customer service. They treat all customers like we're from the poorly. I was a customer for 3 years. They offered a "special" if I renewed early, I would get 3 extra months. Sounds like cash-flow trouble. o, I renewed with that promise. When it came time to renew again, they totally reneged on the offer. After closing my box, they refused to forward my first-class mail causing prescriptions, brokerage statements, and Christmas cards all to be returned. I complained to Customer Service and they told me that each store is independently owned and operated. They were of no help. Whoever is running this place should be fired and the whole staff too!

Unfortunately the UPS customer service center at 73-100 U'U St Kailua Kona, HI 96740 United States is not listed on YELP and I know why, piss poor service. It been months and I'm still waiting on my packages. Unbelievable, unprofessional, unacceptable service. For my business I will never use UPS. I really apologize to this location address and store.

The workers in this store are horrible and know nothing about customer service. They routinely ignore customers in line; rather than helping those waiting in line, they pretend to be busy moving, labeling, stacking, rearranging boxes. I stopped by recently to drop off a small box with a pre-paid label ... I didn't even want a receipt. The door was locked with a sign indicating they were 'temporarily' closed and were only letting customers with paid mailboxes. Me, along with several other people were ignored and not acknowledged. It's like they feel they can treat customers anyway they like since they have a 'monopoly' on UPS services in the area. If corporate is reading this, maybe consider adding a self-service drop box or two in the Kona area.

Went to this UPS store today at 1:45pm - business hours. Sign on the door says, "Closed from 1:30 - 2:30pm." AWESOME. During the 3 minutes that we were there, the woman inside of the store watched at least 5 people come to the door and try to get in. She could not have cared less. If you are running a business, then be professional about it. We count on the hours posted on the website. Just bc you feel like taking a break doesn't mean that you should.

I needed a couple packages shipped ASAP. This location opened early and the one staff person (woman) who was there was efficient and helped me get the packages to their destinations on time. Recipients said packages were received on their end in good condition.

If you do not have to use their services, DON'T!!! I was in line and the lady working the counter was rude to the lady in front of me and then to me! Find another UPS store locally if there is one or use Kona Business Center. The owner is very nice and helpful!

Absolutely terrible service. Went only to drop off an Amazon return. Should have been a quick trip. A lady was in front of me that was picking up a package. One ups rep spent 20 minutes- literally 20 minutes, looking for it before finally telling the lady that it was her fault they couldn't find it, because she couldn't describe the packaging to them well enough. Finally the lady gave up trying to get her package after being told to call the sender and get a better description of the package they could not find. During this time, a line formed out the door, and the other clerk who was working there just ignored the line. Once a third ups employee popped out, i thought she was going to help with the line, but she just looked at us like she wished we weren't there, and then went back into the back room. Finally, when it was my turn. I handed the clerk my package, which she flipped over and told me I did not have the right label for. I told her that this is the label that Amazon sent for the return. She told me, " go back and talk to Amazon". As I am trying to figure out what to do, she looks at me and says "what?". Meanwhile clerk#2 continued ignoring the building line, and the mystery clerk#3 (I think, she wasnt wearing anything that showed her to be a UPS employee) stayed hidden in the back. I went home and talked to Amazon, who assured me I had the correct label. Now i get to go back and do this again today.

This is the place to come, if you need to send all of your souvenirs home. Why carry them, when UPS can deliver them for a reasonable price. Place was busy, and looked disorganized, but in reality they aren't. They do a lot of shipping in a small place. The staff is also very friendly. Save stress, ship from here.

I am not sure why folks are putting down the team working at this store! after the reviews, I was hesitant to go there - I am so glad that I went! They are fast, efficient and very personable. I will complain when a person/store with poor service, but I will also give credit where credit is due. They do a great job! Maybe if folks would leave their negativity at the door, they would have a much better experience.

The UPS Store by Lanihau Shopping Center has greatly improved due to the new employees who I appreciate greatly! The UPS delivery driver opens EVERY package sent by Amazon or Petco with 120 acres of pasture next door to our house then I had to find mice and rats trying to get into the bag of dog food left out in the parking lot not delivered to the front door only ONE time out of 11 times was it left correctly without tampering of the box itself with so much grease, dirty very grimy couldn't trust it. The 11th dog food sent by Petco after tons of complaints finally was delivered without opening it to the front door as instructed. Yay! In this last case put my new boots the beautiful blue box it came in which I planned to keep my boots in the driver RIPPED IT on purpose (not damage by machinery) so now they're being returned. I was home at 7:30 p.m. when this parcel was delivered but no "UPS" announcement was made which is protocol as the parcel was tossed into the driveway in plain sight. The package wasn't left by the front door just tossed in the driveway so with recent burglaries not cool. The older UPS worker a male blocks my driveway when I return home not parking correctly who I suspect is the culprit. Reported this to Customer Service with 2nd day Air I was so surprised to get my boots so fast only to have to return them due to the driver who could've opened the parcel carefully with no duct tape instead he destroyed it. Now I have to decide whether to order another boots? Unfortunately, I can't find any boots in Hawaii ordered through Amazon then shipping with another carrier I hope. I love the boots but wanted to keep the box to store my new boots and don't appreciate during Covid any driver busting the shoebox intentionally then putting their dirty paws into the box with their germs which is against their UPS Policy.

Notary service here was overpriced and unsatisfactory. The standard fee for any legitimate notary is $5.00. Any bank can handle this for you. The UPS store notary, Cherylnne Ching prepared a simple signatory notarized for my prepared document, however would not simply stamp & sign the document, instead provided an additional sheet of paper (inconvenient). The charge was more than double the standard fee. 1. $5.00 for the signature 2. $5.00 CLERICAL FEE (whatever that is) 3. $0.35 8.5x11 Color copy (the acknowledgment) which was neither 8.5x11, a color copy, nor requested or required. I learned my lesson and will stick with my bank. They did a superior job, without the nickel & dime fees and poor customer service.

This place still exists because it's basically a monopoly. Other than the Post Office and limited FedEx services at OfficeMax, this is the only place in Kona to go to for shipping. I guess that is why they can afford to be rude, inconsiderate and have terrible customer service and hours. Not even open on Sundays, unbelievable!

I went in and was rushed out. I was told I had to pay for all of my items to be shipped separately even though they were going to be shipped to the same place. My cashier rudely handled my items and tossed them out of my box. She overcharged me for shipping and told me theres only one shipping price. She was exceptionally rude to me. Never giving them my business again. I dont trust them with my items.

I have had rude service both times I have been in! No eye contact or acknowledgment and I just want to know where to leave my pre-labeled package. Another time quoted the wrong price twice- second time they had to call me and said they wouldn't ship unless I paid more. So I went in and retrieved my item.

Overcrowded, and the place looks more like a warehouse that went through an earthquake than a store. The worst thing, though, is the horrible staff. At least two of the staff members are continually nasty, and the store is badly managed. The line can be out the door, there are four employees minimum, and only person is working with customers. Occasionally they will yell that there are too many people in the store, but then they don't follow through so they have to yell again. And they do yell. I only go here if I have to not if I want to, and they seem to be aware that we're captive customers due to companies with UPS contracts so they can be an unpleasant and as slow as they like.

Amazon's deal with UPS to handle returns has flooded this store with a constant flow of packages, and its small front space is cluttered with packed boxes and a few expensive items for sale. Lines move slowly, usually. Dropoffs of items already labeled still require waiting in line so they can assure the item will ship properly and not end up in a corner. The staff is very busy, trying to keep the shifting piles organized, obviously we all have good and bad days, I have been lucky to have patient, competent help when I go. Its tucked into the back makai corner of Kopiko Plaza, below LaniHau Shopping Center. They can do some packing for you but doing that or using their computer will cost you, for sure.

Very nice ladies who were happy to package all of our macadamia nuts and chocolates and mail them to the mainland. Not their fault but mailing is so expensive. Cost us more than all the stuff was worth to save having to try and stuff it into our suitcase. On top of that the packaging was very expensive. I suggest that if you need to mail that you find a box yourself and do your own packaging. Will save about $10. Store is easy to find in a small shopping area just above the Main Street of Kona. Their hours are a bit odd, they close at 4:00 on Saturday so check before you go.

Horrible. I paid $2.61 to print one page, black and white. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The girl who works there instructed me to use the public computer with my thumb drive to print my one page. She did not advise me that it would cost $2 to print from the computer, in addition to the printing charges. Then I tried to scan documents. My thumb drive was unacceptable because it was not completely blank. The charges would be $1/page for scanning, plus $1 to use the store's thumb drive. Super inconsiderate employee Molly. I had been waiting at the register to be rung up while another employee was helping a customer on the computer. While I was waiting, about 4 other customers had come in and lined up behind me with packages. She came out of the back after awhile, greeted the customers behind me asking if they were just dropping off packages completely ignoring me. After she scanned all their packages in I asked her "can I not be rung up for my items?" And after realizing that I was ready and had been waiting patiently she took her sweet old time putting the packages away before ringing me up. So rude.

Very poor customer service here. Waited for 10 minutes because one of the ladies couldn't be bothered to help the people in line. Other clerk REFUSED to give me one piece of tape so I could make my Amazon return. Told me I could buy tape from her or take it somewhere else. This whole time there is a roll of packing tape right next to her. So frustrating..would not recommend coming to this location.

The UPS store in Kona delivered my goods in absolute chaos. I paid for shipping to California.. since I was told there was no overnight shipping.. I dropped off my packages on Monday and they got there on Wednesday.. I paid close to $200.00 to have my packages shipped. Two packages with frozen foods.. there was a frozen cake and other frozen goodies.. which I told the person who helped me about. Both packages did not reach the destination intact. They were destroyed in transit. I paid the extra fee to have my packages delivered in great shape. I thought care would be taken to make sure they'd get to my destination intact but it was a horrible experience. I'm totally disappointed and heartbroken.

I just had the most pleasant telephone conversation with Dorine. I am planning a vacation to Hawaii in the near future and wanted to discuss with her options of using their service instead of checking my bags in at the airport. She reviewed with me how easy it is to ship our package there, and they will hold it for us, for a very reasonable fee, and we can pick it up after we arrive from the airport! She explained the package needs to be sent from another UPS, and she said something else but I forgot, since I'll be shipping it UPS anyways it didn't matter. I'm so excited! I won't have to deal with those excessive airline baggage fees and deal with possible lost luggage! Thank you Dorine! This is a follow-up to my prior post. I've nothing to change about my first impression, they made a very good impression. But upon further research I found out just how expensive it is to ship packages from California to Hawaii, by any method, UPS, FedEx, or US mail, ouch!!! Was actually much cheaper to just go ahead and pay for the baggage at the airline. We just had to make sure we weren't oversized or overweight. We had an awesome trip in Hawaii!

Came here to pick up some boxes and packing material to ship back my souvenirs instead of having to pack them in my bag for the flight back home. The lady that helped me out was very nice, and once my transaction was done, even helped carry the boxes out to my rental car. Once I had everything packed I came back to ship the items, and again was quick and easy, and back to enjoying the rest of my vacation. I received very good service, and it was also very busy with the locals I saw who were purchasing items, and dropping off packages.

This place has ZERO customer service skills. It's very unorganized and messy, boxes stacked everywhere. No signage on where to drop off a box if postage is already paid for. Waited 15 minutes to hear one of the employees acknowledge another customer asking where can they drop off boxes already paid for. While waiting one of the girls wanted to talk stories and pull out her phone and show the customer she was helping a bunch of pictures, while there was a long line. She started to do something else instead of finishing helping the customer or helping someone else and was just looking at the line. The other girl at the counter instead of helping the next customer in line instead had to finish helping the customer the other girl was talking stories with.

I came into the store to make some copies...I asked the sales associate to help me get started...she didn't bother to come over and start the copier!! the asian lady is yelling at me how to turn on the key!! How rude of her to not help a customer...and she even said to me that I can go somewhere else!! Really witch?!!?? i was visiting from the midwest and never been in that store...this is how she treats customers??!!?? this is the crappies customer service that I received while visiting the Big island UPS store on Kopiko st...I then went to check out and find out that she's the owner!! wow!! i could not believe my ears...so I couldn't make a complaint so thats why I'm writing a terrible review on her damn store!! the asian owner needs major help with treating her customer's with dignity and respect!! and she needs to go to customer service training from the beginning!!! They have absolutely no customer service. After screwing up my print order, they wouldn't give me a refund. When I kept asking about the refund, the workers kept telling me to leave a contact number for their manager to follow up with. The manager did not follow up. I try my best to avoid this place as much as I can.
