This was my first time trying The Urban Oven, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with both the food and the overall experience. I ordered the Family Special for pickup at 5:15 PM. Since I can’t drive, my neighbor picked it up for me. When she arrived, only the two pizzas were given—none of the other items I ordered (breadsticks, pizza cookie, 2-liter, napkins, or utensils) were included. Because she couldn’t go back, I had to call the store. The associate apologized and offered to have the missing items delivered, which I appreciated. They arrived about 30–45 minutes later.
As for the food:Pizzas: Both were bland and lacked flavor. The double pepperoni pizza tasted flat, with no real flavor in the sauce, cheese, or crust. The veggie pizza with garlic sauce was the same—the crust and sauce had no seasoning, and it felt like just bread, cheese, and vegetables. Very disappointing for the price.
Breadsticks: These were seasoned heavily, maybe a bit too much, but still soft and enjoyable with the garlic and cheese sauces. Pizza cookie: This was the highlight—warm, soft, and very good. Overall, for the price I paid, the quality and flavor of the pizzas were not worth it. The breadsticks and cookie were decent, but forgetting half the order at pickup and the lack of flavor in the main dishes left me very disappointed. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be ordering from The Urban Oven again.
