"Varsity Inn is where you go to get breakfast when it's just one of those mornings when dining in sweatpants and sunglasses and crocs is non-negotiable. When you need black coffee, two eggs over-easy with bacon, shredded hash browns, sourdough toast, and zero pretension in order to tackle the next hour of your life, Varsity Inn will always deliver." - Aimee Rizzo

Wonderful family friendly establishment. The staff was very charismatic and attentive. The games kept the kiddos entertained while we waited for food. Though we did end up having this big Italian guy follow us home but he says he’s a plumber so I’m sure he will be useful.

Big Mic

Cool neighborhood bar. Really nice bartenders. The wings were pretty big with good flavor, the nachos were pretty much soggy by the time we got them and had to use a fork to eat them. Probably would pass in nachos or at just ask for the toppings on the side

We were looking for Pub & Pizza experience and this place was exactly what we were hoping for. The pizza was surprisingly good and there was a good selection of beer. I’m sure it’s busier/noisier on the weekend, but it was pretty quiet and chill on a Tuesday night and we loved it.

Mackenzie (Kenzie)

Google
Drinks were good, food was good, service and atmosphere were great. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Will definitely return!

Nick Johnson

Google
The menu is pretty limited, but the service is friendly. They mainly only have pizzas, with a couple of sandwiches and a bunch of appetizers. The food is decent.

Google
If I could give zero stars I would. Dominos has better pizza. The pizza was dry like cardboard, and the wings were horrible. Not sure what those meatballs even taste like but they look gross. Never returning. Save your money and go elsewhere. A waste of $55. The gal that answered the phone asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said I didn’t really care just wanted to tell her it was horrible and wasn’t coming back. She was like, “ok…..bye”. Thought I’d try them again and am now sorry I did.

Google
We had an amazing experience, the pizza was delicious, appetizers were fresh and delicious, great drinks and the staff work hard and are kind. Would highly recommend 10/10 in all areas.

Almost every time I come here, someone is being over-served and acting obnoxious. Drunken people don't have boundaries, so tonight I got groped by a guy that couldn't control himself, after running off two females. The guy could hardly stand up, but they kept pouring his drinks. I'm probably not coming back any time soon, regardless of the service or food.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from this place and they were really nice! We got texted with updates about our order. They gave us the loaded nachos with the toppings all separate so it wasn't soggy. The calzone was HUGE! I had to share it - it was that big & good!

Glen W.

Yelp
Looks like a really fun bar to go and watch sports at. Good cheap beer, the food made both my brother and me sick, he had a burger and I had the meatball sandwich so maybe it was just the ground beef that day. I will definitely try them again but I'm not sure if I'll gamble with the food again. Definitely worth going to for a drink and to get that "college bar" feel. It really reminded me of a Vegas bar in the 80s and I liked that, that's why I'll give it another shot.

Bill L.

Yelp
We love this place one of the coolest places in south Centennial I highly recommend it. The servers work the Bar and tables. They are quick with drinks And orders. Billy Boy.

Kayla C.

Yelp
The new menu has so many affordable, delicious, and shareable options. There is truly something for everyone. The establishment is always clean. Great spot to watch sports or the Olympics! Fun for all ages and family friendly. Great beer and food!

Jason M.

Yelp
Great service and the food is good. The best thing about this place is there so attentive.

Brian L.

Yelp
Thank you Varsity Inn for hosting 8th grade Littleton Thunder Football. The absolute best place to take 60 people before the 1st game of the season. 6 Donkey Kong pizzas for the win!!

Abisai S.

Yelp
Food was delicious & service was AMAZING! I ordered online & they had some options to add stuff to your burger, I noticed that they didn't have fried egg as an option but they had a comment section so I asked to add a fried egg to my burger if they had any & surprise, surprise I got back to the hotel & opened my burger & there was a fried egg on it! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is a fun hangout place. It has a pool table and basic old arcade games. The food isn't great, but there are some really nice employees.

Alfred J.

Yelp
We were there a few weeks ago. And our group noticed that the tall brunette seemed off while serving us, as well as being rude. We found out she's actually the manager that booked our party. It's very unprofessional to be drinking while on the job. You seemed like you had a few and you were frustrated the whole time we were there. We will not be back.

Adam S.

Yelp
Love this place! Food was great! Plenty of screens for watching games! Service was outstanding, especially Gabby from West Virginia (Go Mountaineers)! Will definitely be back again real soon!!

Liz C.

Yelp
The varsity is a solid dive bar with great pizza and super service. They often have hockey games up on their big screens. I only gave 4 stars because they don't allow dogs on their back deck in the summer. It would be amazing to be able to walk to this super place with the pups and enjoy a beer in the sun.

Karla V.

Yelp
Such a fun spot! Family friendly until 10 PM and then a 21+ pub in the late evening. There are lots of arcade games and their wings are delicious! :)

Bev M.

Yelp
Should be a zero star option. Don't waste your time. I have no idea what the food is like because we couldn't get anyone to even acknowledge we were there. They were not busy. Maybe 6 other people in the place. We even walked up to an employee who was at the register behind the bar. She wouldn't look at us or speak to us. We went elsewhere.

Steve M.

Yelp
There is much to like about this place. The staff is friendly and helpful, if a little profane now and then :), and the general manager even waits on people. They remember your name and your face. That's really nice. The food is pretty good, the beer selection is just great, and the prices are fair. I enjoy coming here. I would come more often if they had electrical outlets at the booths. That's because I like to go somewhere where I can watch a ball game and get some work done. There might be an outlet in the place where you can charge a laptop, but not conveniently placed where you sit or, at least, not at more than one place where you might sit. They treat you right here. That's why Varsity Inn has been in business for a long time.

Aaron M.

Yelp
Great spot! "Jalapeño Gold" chicken wings, and any pizza with extra mozzarella. And you'll be lovely.

James S.

Yelp
First time here. A group of 15-20 of us for a 40th bday. Staff was on their game, super fast service and super nice. Didn't get to try the pizza this time but they looked really good. Had the blt with fresh homemade tater chips. Really really good. There are games for the kiddos or the kid in you. Nice and big so plenty of space to have a gathering or booths for something personable. Will definitely be back if I'm the area, kinda far from my home.

Carol O.

Yelp
Took an hour to get a pepperoni calzone and a roast beef sandwich. The calzone had 2 tiny slices of pepperoni! The sandwich was 4" long barely any roast beef on it. Terrible!!!

Trista C.

Yelp
Best wings in town! We love both eating on and carrying out - they are what we bring to parties.

John C.

Yelp
This is my kinda place. Two pool table and some old videos games. In fact my kids call the place Old School Video Game Place. We love coming in here, not pretentious like so many places in south Denver. They have many different kinds of canned beer. Full bar and some taps. This is the opposite of a "tap house" and I love it. The food is always spot on. The pizza had a nice thin and crispy crust. The smoked wings are great. The real winner is the green chili fries. Love Love them. The service is good enough. There is so much I like about the place I actually overlook that.

Brandi W.

Yelp
Ordered nachos for around $13. Showed up with the cheese cold. Had the the waitress send them back. 20 minutes later the replacement never showed up. Took us going to the bar and asking the manager. Who never once apologized or anything. Canceled the order. Drinks were no better. The guys seated behind us were helped constantly while we were completely ignored. We were sitting directly in front of the bar. The male cooks were pissed about the returned food. Kept staring at our table. Horrible service. The atmosphere of the bar is nice but otherwise I would avoid the place all together.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Want to see an old dude completely drunk by 6:00 PM? Head on over to the Varsity Inn! This place is pretty much what you'd expect from a stripmall bar in the 'burbs. No frills, no pretension, just some beer on tap and a few games to play if you're in the mood. There is a large Jinga game outside on the patio which is pretty cool and 2 pool tables inside that I think are only $1 to play. But the real fun comes from the row of old arcade games! Frogger, Ms. Pac Man, Ikari Warriors!!, Q-bert, and a slew of others. If you're on your game you can have a great time for only a quarter. Hubs and I were not so hot. However, if we're feeling nostalgic and want to slum it for a few hours, we may just find ourselves back at the Varsity Inn.

Jessica J.

Yelp
This place is my kind of joint. Low key, laid back with good food and decent prices. We popped in here on a random weekday trying to find a quite place to have a meeting and it worked perfectly. There were a few people bellied up to the bar and then just us eating. I had what was essentially a French dip (Centennial) with fries that I found really flavorful and hearty. The hubby did your standard bacon burger and really liked that too! Obviously the drawl is the cheap booze and pizza - which is why I have to come back :) Really cool, semi-divey neighborhood joint.

Gary O.

Yelp
During the NBA playoffs I was looking for a venue to enjoy some food and drinks and root for the Nuggets with other Nugget fans. I decided to give Varsity Inn a try as it is close to my house and I heard they had good happy hour specials. I came on a Friday night but was able to find a seat at the bar with no trouble at all. The game was on so it was a little busy but my 'bar mate' suggested I try a pizza with my beverages. I obliged and ordered one of their specialty pizzas, the Tree Hugger. This vegetarian pizza came with pesto, artichoke, mushroom, spinach, etc. It was DEFINITELY a winner! Crust was great, cheese was plentiful and the toppings were fresh and yummy! I will seriously come back for the pizza alone! Delicious! The servers were all great as well. They were really busy but were the kind of servers that still reach everyone and keep everyone happy with food and drink even through the chaos. Well done bar team! I'll definitely be back! Oh, they also had some fun flavored whiskeys to try. Don't skip those!

Keith S.

Yelp
Love the pizza, pitchers and service. Great place to come hang out and watch a game as the TV setup is outstanding. Kristie the GM is fantastic!

Cami R.

Yelp
visited on a Friday night. We ordered pizza which was good. The thing that surprised me was the amount of young children hers. One could not shoot pool because of the kids in this place. Reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese. If you're looking for adult beverages with adult company, this is not the place.

Peter R.

Yelp
The green chili cheese fries were very good. Service was excellent. I didn't love my pizza. It was good. Was huge. They didn't put enough sauce on it. Was mostly just dough and cheese. My wife loved her calzone. I will definitely be back.

Mandy O.

Yelp
So, this is a very difficult rating. The staff (especially Brie) couldn't get better. The food (especially pizza) is mouth watering. The only downfall, which is a significant one, is out of their hands - the significant downfall is that parents bring their kids here (yes, a bar and all evening long) and leaves them to run wild. This includes playing tag, hide and go seek, etc. When did any of this become acceptable? We love this place but have had to leave the past few times because the screaming of kids while they run rampant is not the scene I'm looking for or enjoy.

Kaitlin K.

Yelp
I visit Varsity Inn fairly regularly( at least twice a month). I have never had a bad experience there. The entire staff is warm, fun, friendly and FAST. If you don't get your drink in less than 2 min, it's because they are fully packed, like at capacity. (Or perhaps bc you're being rude... simple bar etiquette will resolve that). As stated before ALL of the staff members are fantastic but I'd like to give an honorable mention to Mike, Bre, and Ryan. These 3 especially are the best you're gonna get in the entire industry. (Fast, accurate and always with a joke or a smile) The GM Sarah is also worth mentioning because she runs this bar well(simultaneously bar trending and waiting tables like a boss!)and is very diplomatic when reminding guests of basic bar etiquette and appropriate behavior. I recently saw a review based on a January 3rd encounter this year by an unhappy customer bc of a 25 CENT difference in price marked for beer. I can assure you I was here January 3rd and the price charged was the price posted that day!!! In closing, if you're looking for a place to just chill and you like getting to know the bartenders trust me.. they will remember your name your drink and catch up with you. And if you're just looking for somewhere to take the fam out for pizza and have a few drinks while the kids play arcade games ALSO the place to be. Or if you're looking for a late night hang out (no kids aloud after 10 i think) this is the place. I really do love this place and all the people who make it awesome

Cindy P.

Yelp
Great sports bar! Stumbled across it while here for a hockey tournament, ended up visiting 3 times that weekend. GREAT WINGS: recommend the "jalapeno gold" sauce. Lots of TV's for the game you want to watch, pool, classic video games, staff friendly and great servers. Had a great time there.

Ray R.

Yelp
So this is one of those places I live near and I come here all the time. You know what...I'll admit it, it's not great. It's barely good, and I guess I'm disappointed. I think there us much potential here, but it's not being properly squeezed out by the operators. I like the staff, and I know them by name, but they've made drastic changes here (let go of a lot of people), and the people that remain don't seem that friendly anymore (at least to me...and I spend a lot of money in here). The bar is extremely dark. Sit by the booths near the windows if you want sunlight, or else hang like dracula at the bar. If you want to watch a game though, sitting at the booths will disappoint you, few tvs from that area. Service is "meh". I feel all of the good people have left, and there is no longer any sort personal service. No neighborhood bar feel, just a spot for a drink and pizza, or greasy food. Very few vegetarian options on the menu, and almost everything is fried (besides the pizza which is actually quite good). Had the ceaser salad recently...a poor excuse of a salad. Few croutons, light dressing, and lettuce (ho hum).

Lucretia P.

Yelp
We meant to go in here months before we actually did. Now I wish I had! The outside is a bit deceptive - looks like any neighborhood bar. But inside, it is part bar, part awesome restaurant, and part 80's game arcade. It turns out to be a very family friendly environment with good food and a great atmosphere! The Baked Potato Nachos are heavenly. I think they surpass any potato skin I've ever had and I crave them now. The pizza and calzones are great too and the prices and service are better than you'd expect. All in all? A hidden gem!!

Cyndi J.

Yelp
Our friend warned us that this is a "dive" bar. We ain't afraid. We like dives! This really isn't a dive. It is a great neighborhood gem, very clean and comfortable. The service is outstanding. We wanted for nothing. There are great drink specials - $2 domestic beers, and $4 for Tito's and whatever else you want to mix with it. We each had a pizza. I had the Warrior, with no cheese, and our server was savvy enough to ask about my dietary preferences. He said there was parm cheese sprinkled on the crust, and he would make sure they left it off for me. He's forever in my good graces. My husband had the Link - full of meat. The crust is okay; I could see them making it in the back so I can attest it is fresh! The toppings are decent as well. Later on, we ordered the smoked wings with buffalo sauce. They were cooked just right and had a great flavor. Super fun place to watch the games, chat with friends (the music is not too loud), and grab some bar food. I might also mention, being the incurable 80's girl, that there are 80's arcade games, and much of the menu features references to my fave 80's video games. Check it out!

Janine S.

Yelp
Every single member of the staff here is wonderful. They are so genuinely nice, not that fake nice just to get tips attitude, but truly sincere in their desire to treat their customers right. I can't recommend them highly enough. The menu is a little pricey. The only thing you can get for under $5 is breadsticks; I wish they had cheaper appetizer options. Overall a great establishment!

Mike-n-Michelle C.

Yelp
We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. We finally stopped in. We loved it. Nothing fancy, very chill. Good drink prices, the pizza was excellent, very friendly crowd and bartenders/servers. We will definitely be back! Third time back and just as good. It's not "that's your table." It's "how can I help you?!" Everyone, every table. Great place to hang out.

Norman H.

Yelp
The food is half a** decent but it's not a place to go play pool as it seems to be a day care center on weekends for parents who wanna drink, kids running all over the place, running into you while your playing pool as well as them being virtually unsupervised. If you need a place where you can watch a game while your kids run amok. This place is perfect, however if your a pool player I suggest somewhere where kids stay home and parents go To play.

Nick K.

Yelp
Came here on a recent Sunday evening and really enjoyed it. Meatball sandwich was great. Good pizza and beer selection. One bartender (it was later in the evening on Sunday) but service was still good.

Pam W.

Yelp
Canned beer and bar food but that's the plan. Decent bar food and fair prices. Some fun throwback arcade games. Geared for after softball and that type of stuff

Emery S.

Yelp
This used to be our go-to neighborhood establishment, but after a recent experience with a bartender (Mike) I will never be back. This bartender made inappropriate comments and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. His aggression and lack of respect towards me was not ok. Now days later I'm still shaken up by his words and actions. I would advise ANY female to think twice about coming to this establishment until management takes appropriate action and changes the current staff.

Jeff S.

Yelp
A new place that just opened up where an old haunt of mine used to be. It boasts your standard pizza/beer/sports bar atmosphere. I came here to grab a quick lunch by myself. I ordered a sandwich, dubbed the Centennial. It was truly nothing special, roast beef with too few pepperoncinis and a basic bland roll. They have house made potato chips that were also very bland. Canned beer is advertised, why this is such a trend I don't know, but they had a decent tap selection, including 1554 which I don't see that often these days. It's a decent spot to watch a game, and I'd be willing to try the pizza here, but there's nothing so far to bring me back in a hurry.

kristen l.

Yelp
Small local bar with great beer selection and prices with old school arcade games? Yes please! Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the food wasn't that great. Ordered a calzone and the inside was still cold. To their credit they fixed it quickly, but I'm not a fan of previously frozen or cooked items.

Jesse L.

Yelp
This place was danm sexy!!! The pool table eat the cue ball four times, but the staff was kind enough to get it out four times. apps were tastey. Beers flowing and did I say danm sexy beer. Well it was. Orange and everything.

Jessica T.

Yelp
This place turned out to be a lot more than I expected. I expected typical, run down dive bar trying to be unique by housing a few video games thus appealing to the frat boy type. Well, I was right about the ultra young crowd- barely 21 and up, but I was pleasantly surprised by the 30s+ crowd, and the family in the "restaurant" side. Lots of seating at tables, high top tables, and bar. And of course, the pool tables and video games throughout the place- which was much bigger than I expected too! More than that, I was very surprised and impressed with the beer selection and service. They had some great choices on tap, and I'm always a sucker for Milk Stout! But more than anything else there were some incredible servers here!! A refill was promptly offered as my first beer approached empty, then as my second beer was looking almost gone I was approached by THREE different servers offering me a refill!! Not only did our actual waitress/server make the offer, but two other server guys walking by noticed my empty and pleasantly stopped to offer another beer. They were so unobtrusive and nice about it, I really couldn't believe it! And our waters were never empty either!! I will likely be back here, just because I was so impressed with the service that didn't mind 3 women taking their time to gab over a couple beers. The atmosphere was energetic but not too loud, making for a great place to grab a beer and chat.

Natalie G.

Yelp
They took a bar with a decent variety on the menu and brought us yet another pizza place in Littleton. Went here Friday looking for some great snacks (like Dirk's old Green Chili Tater Tots) and found that I could get chips for $4 or pizza. No thanks. Won't be coming back.

Kelly P.

Yelp
So, I just left the Varsity Bar and tonight I was disappointed in the service. If your wondering why I left one dollar tip here are reasons. 1. After ordering a bowl of Chili and a Salad it took 30 minutes to get my food. 2. Never was I asked for refills on coffee or water. In fact I had to ask for refills. 3. I had to ask for the bill and to close out my account. I've been coming to Varsity for over 4 years and for the most part I would give you guys 5 stars, tonight was ridiculous. Word to the wise : Don't ignore customers.

Allison F.

Yelp
We were having lunch across the street and kept gawking over their sign offering canned beer and games. Sold! The inside is quite dark but there are tons of arcade games that line the walls. We grabbed seats at the bar and were treated to exceptional service. We just came in for drinks and their beer was nice and cold and dirt cheap. We had a great view of the kitchen and got to watch them prep for that evening. Everything that came out looked delicious and I feel we need to return just to try the pizza. It looked thin and delicious. While we were just in for a quick visit, we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return!

Jason J.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood recently and wanted to sit down somewhere for lunch so that we could chat about some stuff. I admit when we came in the door I was a little concerned. It looked like just a bar (and a dead one at 1pm on a Monday). But once you go in thru the entrance you can really see there's a bunch of seating on the left (booths and tables). There's also the bar and some games off to the right. I'll have to be back to try the arcade games. We sat down and the bartender came over immediately with menus and took our drink orders. I ordered a burger and it came out really quick and was quite excellent. And cheap. I think the base burger price is only $7. I thought they were a little skimpy on the fries, but it was good for lunch and they were very crispy and yummy. I think we'll be back, and will definitely have to partake on more liquid beverages next time!

Jacob W.

Yelp
Do not order the boneless chicken wings. I have no clue what they actually served me. My girlfriend asked for meatballs and the male server said, "Want some balls in your mouth, uh?" Real classy. His service was poor and he didn't ask us how we wanted the bill split up. After waiting long enough we had to go to the front counter ourselves. I gave him three forms of payment from three people and he said, "Yeah, yeah, I know what you had." Then he comes to our table to ask us what we had. No one in my party enjoyed it.

Jessi J.

Yelp
Such a fun dive to hang out in! Don't look to be impressed by the décor, I mean "dive" when I say it. But canned beer, deeelish pizza, and arcade games? Okay sure, sign me up. It's become a new weekly hang out for me! The bartenders are awesome, looking forward to getting to know them a bit more. Will definitely be back again and again!

Jordan B.

Yelp
I frequent this place with my coworkers. It's exactly the kind of bar I love. It's a classic bar with arcade games and a couple of pool tables. The food is far better than I would've ever expected. I've eaten there many times and loved everything I've had. The prices are dairy, definitely cheaper than most in South Denver. The service is excellent.
