We were a group of four, and the lounge wasn’t overly busy. Two of us arrived at 7 pm, sat down, and waited about 15 minutes before anyone even came to take an order. The rest of us arrived shortly after and placed our drink order about 15 minutes later.
Our first round of drinks showed up 30 minutes after we arrived, just in time for us to head upstairs to our reservation at Tellers. It wasn’t chaotic, the bar wasn’t slammed, and the bartender wasn’t backed up. One person from our group even went to the bar to check on the drinks, and only then did our server suddenly say they were “on the way.”
When the drinks finally came, again, 30 minutes after we sat down, we explained we had to leave and asked for them to be taken off the bill. The server stared at us and literally walked away. A younger male server stepped in, asked what was going on, and tried to fix it. One of our group didn’t like her drink, and although we declined a remake, he insisted. Unfortunately, the second one tasted like soap.
We asked for a manager because our original server had told us we could take our drinks upstairs, only for someone else to tell us we couldn’t. The whole thing was a mess. We had planned to enjoy a cocktail before dinner, but with the long wait and lack of service, that never happened.
The manager, dressed in a bright purple or pink suit, was polite and ultimately made it right. But the overall experience was so poor that we won’t be returning, and I honestly can’t recommend this place to anyone. Some people thrive in the service industry, and some clearly don’t. Unfortunately, our server and the bartender fell into the latter category!
