It’s Manhattan Season — Here’s Where to Drink One in Indianapolis This February | Eater

"Located in the historic Bates Hendricks district, The Vault is proudly female-owned and offers imbibers a speakeasy for the 21st century — while showcasing the building’s Prohibition history as a former hideout for bank robbers. Before you can order their specialty Angel’s Envy Manhattan with sarsaparilla and coffee-infused vermouth, a root beer reduction, and vanilla bitters, you’ll first have to crack the massive vault door’s code (hence, the name). Pro tip: It’s easy to crack the combination with clues found on their social media." - Vox Creative

We were excited to try this place. The code was easy to get to gain access. We found out that the place was under new management, so they were still getting things the way they wanted it. Sadly, there is another entrance in case you didn't want to take part in the crack the code theme. They are still working on getting the signs up so you know where to go. The staff was extremely friendly. They were lacking some items on their menu. So, hopefully, they get that all sorted out. But it's definitely worth a stop in.

The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was dim and relaxing. The Bootlegger BLT was AMAZING, though! The frites were good with their Vault sauce. Even when they became cold. Now, onto the dessert. The Heist Brownie I would never order it the way it came. It looks good but it's overly sweet, has too many chocolate chips, difficulty tasting the caramel, and no brownie (or at least in the traditional way of thinking of a brownie). It was creamy. No solid brownie in the dish. It was more like brownie batter with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce.

Our go-to spot for an old fashioned or nice pour of whiskey is now going to be our neighborhood go-to for a a delicious, quick bite. Burgers were great, really appreciated the vegetarian option for my partner. Fries were incredible, great blend of fresh herbs and grated cheese. Can’t wait to try more of the menu. Thanks, Erica!

Google
We had our monthly "Book Party" here for the @indybookandsipclub, and it was fantastic! Service: The staff was super friendly and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed. Harry the manager was super helpful and a great host. Atmosphere: The vibe here is perfect for a book club meetup. Cozy and stylish, with just the right amount of background music to keep things lively without drowning out our conversations. The decor is trendy and comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and chat. If you're thinking about hosting an event here, don't hesitate. It's the best decision you can make! Highly recommend this place for any gathering.

Awesome vibe, amazing bartender, delicious drinks! Took my son for his 21st birthday. Met cool people and had a great time. We enjoyed cracking the code to get in.

Google
Wonderful place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and pricing isn't too bad for the amount of food that you get. The server we had even went above and beyond and took pictures for our group, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. My only down side was that I don't think the tea is fresh brewed, and If they did add this it would be perfection

I am BEGGING you guys to fix the vibes. I came here with a couple friends the other day for a night out. The plan was to try the new food menu and stay for a few rounds of interesting seasonal cocktails. The food was incredible! Best frites I ever had! Beautifully breaded chicken tenders! But unfortunately ALL of the cool antique lounge furniture was replaced with boring square dining tables. There was no place to just sit and hang out after our meal so we left after food and one round. And I was shocked that the cocktail menu only had a few classics, they were interesting versions but there was no real personality. Just two months ago we made new friends with strangers because they asked about our drinks that came with tarot cards or in takeout boxes. This was the coolest bar in Indy! I hope you bring back the group seating and weird drinks, this was my go-to spot to impress people from out of town, and sometimes just spend an evening out. I am glad that there is dinner now but I very much miss the speakeasy part of it. Fingers crossed that this goes back to being a hangout spot! 🤞

Google
Great speakeasy in the Indy area; we will be back! Stopped by for our first visit to find a fun puzzle that led us to the pass passcode for the vault door. Once inside, we were welcomed immediately and decided to sit at the bar in order to watch the drinks being made. Everyone was wonderful, and the drinks were great. We tried a few rounds and found them all very good, especially the special the bartender recommended to us. There is also a nice patio area if you want to venture outside. Well done and worth a visit.

Yelp
The Vault is such a fun speakeasy experience! You find the secret code to get in through their IG page, which adds to the adventure. Once inside, it's cozy and inviting. We sat at the bar and had an awesome experience, the bartender was fantastic! I asked for something "sweet and fruity," and he absolutely delivered. The drinks were probably some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique spot with great vibes and even better cocktails!

Yelp
The Vault used to be one of my favorite hidden gems in Indy. It had that classic speakeasy vibe--dim lighting, intimate setting. Recently though, the bar has gone through a major transformation, shifting toward more of a neighborhood cocktail bar feel. The space is definitely brighter and more open now, which might appeal to some, but for me, it takes away from the cozy, unique atmosphere that originally set The Vault apart. It feels less distinctive now, almost like it's lost a bit of its identity. Cocktails are still decent, but I have to admit I've noticed a dip in quality since the shift in theme. They're not bad by any means, just not as memorable or refined as I believe they used to be.

Yelp
The Vault is Indy's South-side secret bar, a speakeasy prohibition-style with beautiful brick details, a vault door entrance, and a lovely little patio with twinkle lights. I got to recently check out on of their cocktail classes, just one of the fun events they do throughout the year. The Cocktail class was so much fun, and the instructor was attentive and took the time to provide extra help where needed. We learned how to make several cocktails, had snacks, and a lot of laughs.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
If you like cocktails and great snacks this is the place for you. Good music playing in the background and the bartender, who's also the owner was slinging drinks and the guy has a gift. This is a must visit.
google avatar

Nichelle S.

Yelp
The vault definitely is a chill and welcoming place to drink at. Once you solve the question of the code on the door, you walk in to a Very prohibition decor, reminds me of the speakeasy at goodfellas. They do have small bite foods, including a broccoli cheddar soup that smelled good coming out for a customer. I'm always taken care of by 1 of the bartenders, Maya. She's a super chill and friendly qt. She made me 1 cocktail off the bartender specialty cocktails and ofc my fave expresso martini. There's a shot that has become a lil traditional for us all to take with liquor 43 and cream that I def recommend. Overall, I can see myself making this a regular place to drink without a large crowd if I don't want to get overstimulated (iykyk)

Yelp
The Vault!! What a fun concept? Speakeasy in Indianapolis with a super cool 1920s lounge style vibe and fun creative drinks. Soup and grilled cheese options are tasty too. A couple of co-workers and I dressed up in 1920s flapper fashion and visited the Vault. It was so fun, everyone loved our idea of matching the era and gave wonderful compliments. There is even a trap door that is said to lead to John Dillinger's hide out. While you can't go down the steps, it was pretty cool to see. Beware, it is a speakeasy so you better put your thinking cap on to come up with the secret code!

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally made it with 5 of my closest friends! Came on a Thursday night around 7pm. They post a code on their IG page so you can enter. It was fun within my group gathering everyones guesses before we arrived. Sadly someone let us in so we didn't get to enter the code in but there is a big vault where you can put it in should that not happen for you. Upon entry, it was super chill. They were setting up for a Sofar event (if you don't know what that is, do some homework on that), so they had a section of the place closed off for the set-up. The bartenders were very nice and engaging and offering drink options which was helpful because I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. They actually created something for me based on what I like. There was plenty of seating, so no worries there on this particular day but I can imagine it could get crowded on the weekend. I'm a fan.

Yelp
Our first time in Indy! We were looking for a place to kick off our night and my husband found this joint on Google! Upon arrival we found ourselves at a vault door with a legitimate keypad for entry. After several failed codes we found our answer with the end of prohibition! We loved our experience here. The owner, Gabby, and one of her bartenders, Maya, were wonderful. The cocktails were fantastic. I specifically loved the peach basil gin smash. My husband loved his which was This Was Ube. They gave us great recommendations where to go for the rest of the night. Good vibes, good music, and good people. Would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was well above expectations and the drinks, delicious! Hubs got the espresso martini and I had this beauty. Decor & ambiance on point. We'll be back to try more.

Yelp
The Vault had been a destination for me. The vibe, cocktails, and service was always on point. However, my last visit to The Vault left me very disappointed. We went on Black Friday. There was a new code to get in, which was fun to find. However, upon entering the vibes were off. It was BRIGHTLY lit. I almost thought they were closing and cleaning by how bright it was inside. Also, the bartender was wearing a Chargers jersey. Further, they were playing country music, not via TouchTunes but via the regular bar music. As a "Speakeasy with History," everything was off. We had invited some friends to join us who had never been before and we were glad they canceled, as we had talked up this place a lot and it fell way short of our expectations. The vibe of a speakeasy is a lot. You expect certain things. I felt like I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings. I'll give it another shot, but if it's a similar experience, I cannot recommend this place anymore.

Yelp
Great service, great drinks, and even better ambiance! Harry helped us pick out drinks and gave us advice on how to up our at home cocktail making! Hope to return next time in town!
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
Great craft cocktails! It took us a few minutes to figure out the passcode, but that made it all the more fun. Very cool, vintage art in here. I love the chill environment. Would be better if they had low lighting, too. You tell them what liquor you like and they'll custom make you a surprise drink. So fun and creative :)

Yelp
Parking/location: this wonderful little speakeasy is located south of downtown (fountain square area) in a neighborhood. Parking is all street parallel spots and depending on the day or night you go you may have to do a bit of walking. Upoentry, you are prompted to enter a date to see if you are granted access into The Vault (hint: John Dillinger death year) I spoke with the owner about his vision for this speakeasy & it was amazing how well acquainted he is with the neighborhood surrounding. (I'm terrible with names, omg I can't remember his or the bar tenders) but listen to me!!!! The drinks were amazing and the service was as well. I love how the noise level is balanced even though it is a smaller space. I've been twice now and I can't wait to get dressed up and return. I instantly feel like a sexy spy when I walk in oh you don't have to get all dressed up to go, it's just my preference when going to classy speakeasy's - but you will see plenty others in attendance with jeans. P.s. do not go on an empty stomach as the menu for food is very limited OR go for your pregame prior to dinner reservations in the downtown or fountain square area. Enjoy!
google avatar

LaShon F.

Yelp
One of the best speakeasy's in the Indy area. Great ambience, cool bartenders and love the historical aspects of the venue. The code was difficult to figure out, but if you wait long enough someone will come through who knows it. We enjoyed ourselves, hope it stays open.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
Kind of pretentious bartenders but they do make a good cocktail. If this wasn't in my neighborhood I probably wouldn't make the hike, but since it is, their patio can be a nice time and their drinks are lovely.
google avatar

Radha P.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday night and it was very crowded! After standing for 20 min we found a table and server came to us rather quickly. I would definitely say the crowd did not understand personal space. The grilled cheese was fantastic. The chips were under seasoned and very salty. Parking is street only. I feel like they went over capacity most of the night.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
Omg!! Seriously where do I begin?! I was out with my aunt & cousin celebrating my new role. They LOVE speakeasy's so we extended the night to see if the 'light ' was on! With much excitement it was which means the dranks are going. Obvi with speakeasy's they are so fun because you have to have a secret passcode. From the moment you walk in to enter the code at the 'vault' to when you go in to sit, to walking to the bathroom the place is FILLED with history. The owner Mike & his wife Gabby were so hospitable and Mike was able to share his passion with us. We were in awe with all the facts & depth of the speakeasy. Go and support and follow their IG page to hang with all the "gangsters" & learn some more about John Dillinger
google avatar

Tabitha C.

Yelp
The Vault has quickly become one of my fav places! I love the vibe of a speak easy! You feel like you've been transported back to the gangster days of John Dillinger. You need a code to get in, but everyone is saying to check their social media. The cocktails are fabulous! I I love a good Old Fashioned. On my first visit, I got an Apple Butter Old Fashioned. And, of course, I had to get a traditional one too. They were both delicious! My husband had the Tequila Old Fashioned, which was amazing! He also had a drink called The Heist, which was absolutely delicious! We've been to The Vault a couple times, and I'm looking forward to our next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Ok, this place is cool. Not only is it just a fun idea overall, but it was super chill when we were there. We just happened to be there on Kentucky Derby day so they were having derby festivities like trivia and themed drinks. I went with the Kentucky Buck since I've never heard of that before. It was a strawberry flavored mule. My friend had a mint julep. The whipped ricotta and toast appetizer was delicious! The servers were really friendly and checking in on everyone while we were there. Surprisingly, we got a spot in the small lot in the back but there is lots of street parking as well. You do need a code to get in the bank vault door secret entrance but you can easily find the clues on their social media.
google avatar

Kennedy O.

Yelp
The Vault is the newest and coolest bar in Indy! You need an actual code to get in, but check their Instagram for a clue. I came on a busy Saturday night and let me tell you...it was BUSY. Like no tables or chairs available, shoulder to shoulder busy. We waited about 15 minutes to order a drunk and chatted with the bartender for a bit (who was super nice!!). The drinks were good, but not great and it took a while for the bartender to make them. We finished our drinks and left pretty quickly since it was packed. I definitely want to come back on a weekday where I can be more comfortable and get the whole rundown of the place. I've heard it has a very cool history!
google avatar

Kendra A.

Yelp
What a creative and unique location. We were so excited to for a speakeasy that respects the prohibition with themed-drinks and a warm atmosphere. We were slightly disappointed with the music because we were looking forward to jazz and/or dated-music to accompany the feel of the entire experience. We appreciated the outdoor patio on such a nice night. We definitely recommend this location and will be back again.
google avatar

Arie S.

Yelp
Service was good. We celebrated a birthday so we were in and out. Just stayed for drinks. The ambiance was great. We felt like you went back in time.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
The Vault is a fun speakeasy with moody vibes and a great cocktail list. They make a strong first impression with a passcode protected vault entry that continues when you step inside to experience the cool atmosphere complete with historic photos on the wall. We stopped by on a night that was VERY busy, with no tables available and barely any room for standing at the bar. Unfortunately there was no easy way for us to access a menu without disturbing other customers, so I just wish I could have spent more time learning what specialties they have. That being said, the bartenders were still wonderful and provided great, personal service on what I'm sure was an overwhelming night. We found a good corner to stand and enjoy our drinks in and enjoyed taking everything in. However, I look forward to giving this speakeasy another try on a less busy night to really enjoy the environment as it's designed.
google avatar

Winnie Y.

Yelp
I have been seeing this place on social media and was excited to check it out with friends. We thought we had an idea what the passcode was and of course it turned out to be none of them. Luckily, there wasn't a line so we had time to try a few different options before we found the right one. It had a great theme and was a cool experience. We ended up being there after a private party so it was pretty packed and it was definitely loud. We managed to grab 2 seats at the bar. The drinks were good but definitely pricy. Overall, it was a neat experience.

Mike M.

Yelp
Great selection of hard to find top shelf whiskies. knowledgeable, fast and friendly bartenders. Awesome drink presentation.
google avatar

Eddie C.

Yelp
Popped into our favorite south side speakeasy for cocktails, and, as usual, they did not disappoint! From their friendly staff to their rotating specialty drinks, this is always a fun place to hang out. I love the 20's era vibe and the vault entrance. If you're out and about on the south side, this is a mandatory place to visit!!
google avatar

Adriana T.

Yelp
What a swell space! The vibe is perfect for an easy night out with a significant other or a pal. Several fun and unique drinks especially seasonally. A small space that requires a passcode and tucked in Bates Hendricks. Off the beaten path but definitely worth the visit. Staff are kind and friendly. Street parking. Patio space. And buzzing on the weekend
google avatar

Yvette A.

Yelp
If somewhere is hard to get into, then I want in. So you have to figure out a code to enter...ummm What? Who? How? When? Where? Why? I'm down for the adventure!! So a little birdie told me to check Instagram. You need a 4 digit code to enter. I arrived at this super cool vault door and started trying some combos of numbers from their insta pics....then wahhlaa green light it is and the vault door opened! The code is not always the same so beware. Behind the vault door was a cool looking speakeasy like spot. I first noticed the size, it had two areas. To the left was more open with lots of seating types then to the right was an inside patio that was screened in and heaters since the night I came was chilly. From the screened in patio there was a door to get to the outside patio, and if you entered through that door workers would tell you to go around the front, so don't try to sneak in. The ambiance was chill. Service was decent, I ordered a mule and it was mediocre. I wasn't impressed with their drink menu. I didn't order food here, as I had ate prior to arriving.
google avatar

Katresha T.

Yelp
The Vault is a classy but fun addition to the Indy bar scene. In order to enter the Vault, you must enter a passcode (you need to check the Vault's Instagram page in order to get this information ) This definitely adds some fun and a bit of mystery to the overall experience. There is a feeling of accomplishment and excitement as you wait to see what is behind the door . Once you have entered the correct code and open the door, you do feel like you are walking to an exclusive club. It is small, intimate space . The cocktails were creative and delicious. They are kind of expensive so prepare for a hefty bar tab especially if you plan to have more than one drink. Food is also available.
google avatar

Sophia S.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is great. A cool entrance and theme, I loved it even from the outside. I lived the old school fans! The drinks were great, but I never received the second one I ordered. They were super busy with very little staff. I understand it's tough right now so this stuff really doesn't bother me as long as I don't pay for it. So if you're in a hurry this may not be your vibe. The charcuterie plate was yummy, we split it between three people and there was definitely enough. The only thing was the meat was sliced so thick, my only suggestion is cutting it thinner. I'm excited to go back and bring more friends!
google avatar

Roger L.

Yelp
Really excited to have a legit speakeasy downtown, especially in Bates Hendricks. This Vault is an incredible rebirth for the building, taking it back to the old prohibition era... ties directly back to John Dillinger and Baby Face, awesome history! Great place to kick back, order some charcuterie and hang out at the hottest resto-modded bar in Indy!
google avatar

Brianna T.

Yelp
the newest speakeasy in town and it's so cool. Based off the bank robber John Dillinger. You have to enter in through a vault but first you have to crack the 4 digit code loved everything about this place! Perfect for a night out with friends or a nice little date spot.
google avatar

Allyson G.

Yelp
Loved my experience at The Vault. Went on a weekday at a pretty early time so we were only 1 of 3 groups there, it was fantastic! The code to get in was so fun! We had an idea of what it was but it was wrong so we had to try a few before we got it, which makes the experience so fun! The drinks were AMAZING. The food was also great for a speakeasy. The charcuterie board was jam packed and was SO good. Absolutely loved it.
google avatar

Staci W.

Yelp
We stopped by the vault after dinner. It was decently busy when we got there but then it started getting packed. We had to stand the whole time as there were not enough seats. The place has a cool atmosphere and I really enjoyed the decorations and music. The drinks were pricey ($16 for a cocktail) but I enjoyed my peach mule. The staff were friendly. The place also was very clean and smelled great! I think it's a neat place to go to and experience
google avatar

Kari M.

Yelp
Very cool hidden gem! I absolutely love speakeasy style bars and this one did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, we were transported back to the prohibition era. Most of our group was from the Mooresville area, so it was an added bonus to see so much Dillinger memorabilia. The place was very busy, but they did there best to keep up. I was a little disappointed they ran out of my beer... but it's not really a "beer" place, so I definitely understand! My husband ordered the smoked old fashioned and he loved it! It was a great night and so much fun!!!
google avatar

Timea M.

Yelp
Spent date night checking out the vault and I was very impressed! The establishment is super cute and I love the simple exterior! The vault door and passcode to enter makes it a vibe. We ordered the heist cocktail and it was so good! 20/10 The grilled cheese was super delicious. It was Gruyère and butter pickles with bacon jam. The TEQUILA old fashioned was prob my favorite.. because I've never had one. Lastly, the staff was so nice! It's a must visit in Indy. You won't be disappointed. Also love they have touch tunes because who doesn't love touch tunes lol
google avatar

Corey S.

Yelp
I live in the Bate's Hendricks neighborhood and have been looking forward to this location opening for a while now and the time is finally here! It is such a great environment with friendly staff and owners, great cocktails, and soon to be a delicious food menu. The place really makes you feel at home because of how well it's decorated, the cozy furniture, and the soothing jazz music. If you are looking for a unique place to grab a drink in Indy, please find your way over to the Vault, just be sure to crack the code to the vault door to gain entrance to the Speakeasy!
google avatar

Fred S.

Yelp
Amazing one of a kind cocktails, ambience, and some history! Always amazing. The Charcuterie board and the "pop's" grilled cheese are both must try's. Don't forget to bring a good cigar for the spacious open air back deck.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Outstanding!! My go to while in Indy! The spot is killer with amazing service and craft cocktails!! The vibe is chill, classy, fun, & trendy with something for everyone. The owner is outstanding and truly cares about all the details! I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
These aren't your average bartenders, they are mixologists! Cocktails are crafted and delicious. The concept is super neat and the history behind it makes it that much sweeter.
google avatar

Leslie H.

Yelp
Love the entrance door. Look for the light outside which is the clue until you find the actual vault. The bar tends to change its code from time to time so make sure to check their social pages. Overall, the inside including the bartender's outfits, decor, and such is supposed to give you some prohibition vibes. The owner and the rest of the staff are super friendly. The place tends to get pack on weekends.

Yelp
Food - I ordered drinks and the PB&J Toasty, which came with BR chips. Overall, this was the best PB&J I've ever had. The only thing is, I didn't think the BR chips paired well with the PB&J. Their food menu is limited, so keep that in mind when coming here. Service - Great service! It was a bit slow for a Tuesday night, but it's a new bar. Ambiance - Love the ambiance here. I was there on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't as packed. Access - ? Not sure where to include this, but I thought I should add a note about The Vault entrance. The Vault door is cool, but I'm not active on social media, and it took me a while to figure out the code. Also, I was here on a Tuesday night, so I didn't run into anyone that knew the code to the Vault door while I was there. Also, the Vault website at the time didn't offer any apparent hints on the code to gain entry. I must've stood outside the bar for 10 minutes before figuring out the code, which was slightly awkward. I probably should've tried to find the code before going to the bar, but I assumed it would be more apparent on the Vault website, but it wasn't. TLDR - Aside from the limited food options and challenges in finding the code to gain access to the bar, I'm glad I went, and I highly recommend checking it out sometime. Thanks!

Yelp
After, my cousin left The Saint Shack we decided to go to The Vault which is a Speakeasy. We, went on Saturday July 22nd which was John Dillinger date of death July 22nd, 1934. Before, entering the John Dillinger Speakeasy you have to know the clue in order to get in, and once you have the clue you'll be able to get in the vault. Once, in the Speakeasy you'll notice a lot of the 1930s gangsters, especially John Dillinger who was born in Indianapolis June 22nd, 1903. Since, we came at a later time it wasn't crowded, so plenty of seats inside as well as on the patio. Going toward the restroom you see walls full of great old articles and John Dillinger, and most of a very funny saying that's in copper by the restrooms on the left side. For, our drinks I ordered the Samoa a very delicious chocolate drink, I felt like I was in a chocolate heaven. My cousin ordered the Jameson drink she loved hers too. The Vault is located in the Bates- Hendrick area, at the corner, decor outside is black and white. Since, it's a Speakeasy there's no sign outside of the building that shows The Vault. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves, great service, drinks, and the weather was very nice Saturday night.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting the Vault. The overall experience was great! You have to enter the passcode into the vault door and then it opens to the speakeasy. We got the espresso martinis and they were great! Bartenders were very attentive and fast in making the delicious cocktails!
google avatar

Rebekah B.

Yelp
I love a speakeasy and The Vault delivers. Housed in one of the Dillinger Gang's former hideouts, you'll find bartenders slinging Old Fashioneds, Gin Rickeys, and more all night long at this bar. If the light is on, the drinks are flowing. Fair warning that The Vault doesn't have it's own parking lot, and it's far enough from downtown that there are no readily available garages. Street parking is easy enough to find but you may have to walk a few blocks depending on how busy the bar is. Well worth a visit if you're in the Indy area. Check The Vault's official social media for a hint for the current vault door code.
google avatar

Iris F.

Yelp
The theme behind the vault is amazing in itself. I think the word got out prematurely about the speakeasy because a week after opening, there was full capacity. I mean packed water wall. But good ambience I loved the old vintage feel of the place down to the old furniture. The service was OK. I believe if they eventually get more staffing, it will be top-tier. It was a bit of a wait for drinks and food. The place has great potential.

Yelp
This is a long over due Review! I loved it here not only was it just a nice vibe but everyone who worked there was so nice. The drinks are amazing. My Boyfriend now Fiancé proposed to me here! We are the first ever to get engaged at their establishment! They were so sweet and took pics for us! I will definitely be trying to find a way to incorporate them into my wedding!!

Yelp
So fun! Had a great time, and great drinks! The code is not intimidating, as a quick google search will give you the answer. One of the drinks you just say a *Liquor of Choice* Prohibition, and they'll make a bartender's choice drink with that liquor. It was so fun! Definitely worth going here!

Yelp
Where to start?! You need a code to get in the door which is fun to figure out. They have a sign out front with hints and hints on Social Media. Once you're inside, the atmosphere is excellent! The owner was on-site along with the bartender. Both were very welcoming, chatty and I even learned a few things about the history of the building. It used to be a speakeasy 100 years ago frequented by the Dillinger gang. The owner did a very cool modern take on a 100 year old bar theme inside. Also, the bartender really knows his stuff. I enjoy some very uncommon cocktails and he knew how to make them and had the ingredients. I did not expect that. Thanks for a lovely date night.
