This is one of my favorite bars. The atmosphere is so chill and the drinks are a good price and not ridiculously high. The bartenders I’ve gotten to know Ruben and Marcus and they take care of me and my friends every-time we go. I highly recommend this bar.

D Dialogu

Google
Hands down, best bar in town!!! Excellent bartenders, friendly crowd, and warm atmosphere. No TVs makes for a much more present experience. Very inclusive and diverse crowd.

Google
I always visit the Vault when I’m in downtown Redlands. Great service & drinks. I’ve never had a bad experience there.

cameron homa

Google
This is by far the coolest bar I have been to in my entire life to date. On a busy weekend night, expect a variety of different groups and people flocking and to potentially finding yourself in incredible conversation and times if you’re feeling charismatic. Come with excellent energy, leave with excellent times!

Brandon Fernandez

Google
Very clean establishment and great atmosphere. The fact they support local bands is a plus. The local talent is amazing. This place makes my beer taste better with the inviting tone.3

Google
This place is a cool chill spot. Good place to hang out and grab a couple of drinks. They have three sections, one where that bar is at, and another adjacent area and a patio. On the weekends there a a band playing which adds to the good times. They are very generous with spirits in the drinks. Reason for 4 stars, it's because it can get pretty packed at times, and if you're in the patio, people can smoke. But besides that, cool spot, check it out.

Luc McMahon

Google
Best bar in town! Great spot to hang out, the bartenders make awesome drinks and provide fantastic service. Love the live music and drag shows they do. This place is the best spot to hang out at, and the prices are some of the best and cheapest in Redlands.

Breanna Spencer

Google
Super affordable drinks (4 dollar wells!). Doesn't matter what sort of vibe you're looking for on the weekend, there is a spot in this huge bar for it! Whether you're wanting to dance on the patio, have a smoke in the alley while you draw on the chalkboard, camp out at the back bar and make some new friends, have a quiet conversation in the upstairs lounge, or chat in a big group where you can still hear the music nearby in the side lounge, The Vault has you covered :D

Yelp
very chill place to hang out and have a drink and dance and just be with your friends or partner

Yelp
I'm not going to be back, unless I am paid or compensated. I drove an whole ass hour out of town to play a FREE set at this bar, and make them money, and the asshole bartender TRENT thought that it was appropriate to not only wildly knock on the bathroom door as I was taking a shit from the drive, but to barge in on me and yell that I was "taking too long" and wildly accused me of using narcotics. I had been in there for literally 3 minutes at that point. And if I wanted to do that shit, my car was right outside. I tried to explain to him that I had just returned back inside from a smoke, but all he did was threaten to kick me out for literally NO FUCKING REASON. I am transgender, and while this used to be one of my favorite spots, I will never be returning. I have been made to feel unsafe and unwelcome at this bar and I regret the fact I spent money on beer just to calm my fucking nerves after the incident. If youre worried about people using the bathroom and taking their time, get more fucking bathrooms, and dont treat out of town talent like shit. Especially queer talent, if you're a so called "safe space"

Yelp
My clubbing days are over, but always looking for an LGBT friendly night spot. The vault is open to all, gay, straight, old, young, a true neighborhood bar. Behind the bar is a courtyard, where live music is paid, and I've been impressed with the talent There is no cover, so you can try it for free! My one grip, there's only one bathroom, and it small and grungy pro tip: on Sunday nights they offer special cocktails

Katrina K.

Yelp
I really like this place. I tend to stop here whenever I'm going downtown with my husband or have a girls night. I love that they usually have Hendricks in stock and they make a good dirty martini. The live music is a vibe and the atmosphere is fun and go. The only thing is that I wish the martini glasses weren't plastic.

Becca R.

Yelp
Perfect little local bar to grab a drink. Bartenders are always friendly and have awesome suggestions if you're ever wanting to try a new drink but don't know what to order. They host a lot of themed nights and events, that they regularly post on their Instagram, which is great for when I'm in the mood to go out on a weeknight (:
google avatar

Kristen A.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of open mic nights. I have found a few really good ones in the area and love attending them. I feel like a fangirl, hoping that my favourite performers will be there. I hope one day to see them on the stage so I can say, "I got to see them when they were small fries." The Vault hosts a lot of events, including musical open mic nights. I still prefer Writers Block's open mic night (the first Wednesday of every month). I am shocked that the event is free, with how talented the poets are. I have bought several books from one of the local poets (shout out to Winry Hagerty!!) who sells her work at the poetry event. The last time I went there were stickers from an artist, some leather works, books by poets for sale. The atmosphere at The Vault during Open Mic Night is vibrant and supportive. The audience is engaged and respectful, providing an encouraging environment for the performers to shine. It's worth noting that this event is not only entertaining but also affordable. It's free. If you're looking for an enjoyable and affordable evening filled with talent and creativity, make sure to check out The Vault's Open Mic Night.

Yelp
This place was so fun!! The entire wedding party came here after a wedding and it was a great time. The drinks were cheap, they have both an indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor spot was in a little ally, it was really cool. They had good music. The only thing was the bathroom was gross, but you also kind of expect that from this place.

Quinette C.

Yelp
Went here for pride night and the bartender was extremely rude to my girlfriend. People were cutting and she politely said "oh I'm next" and the bartender looks at her and says "I don't think so, don't tell me how to do my job". Extremely rude and ruined our night. Get better service if you want people to return. Never going again.

Annette B.

Yelp
Just left pride night because the bartender was ridiculously rude to me. I was having such a good time with my girl and the DJ was awesome. But while I was trying to get my drink a lot of people cut in front of me so I told the bartender I'm next. And his response was "I don't think so don't tell me how to do my job". It was unnecessarily rude for no reason. He could've just told me no that I was wrong if that was the case. I literally left before the drag show started because he made me feel so uncomfortable. I will never be back because of him. I was having such a good time and your bartender ruined my night.
google avatar

Cody P.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere and the drag performances are AMAZING! It's a great time out every time I've been

Yelp
This was one of my favorite places until this gentleman walked into the restroom while my girlfriend was using it. He claimed to be the manager and said it was her fault for not locking the door. Once I started filming him he took a swing at my phone and said he would f****** break it. He walked away and got security they said it was his last chance and understood why we were so upset. Customers shouldn't be treated like that especially when they feel like they have been violated

Yelp
I always liked The Vault. One reason is because of the winding labyrinth-like alley out back evokes memories of medieval streets in France or Italy, just scaled down 99% or so. Cocktails here are the preferred drink and I suppose which bartender you score and how busy it is can play into the equation. Just don't ask for a fucking Mojito! I'm not joking about that! They're a bitch to make and unless they specialize in Cuban cocktails (like Habana in Costa Mesa) you will probably be disappointed and have a pissed off bartender. Heed the sign out front: don't be a douche and order a Mojito! That said, this isn't on the same level as an LA whiskey bar, but $2 Tuesdays draws the younger college crowd. It gets packed quickly after 10pm so beware. I visited The Vault recently after a long sabbatical with my youngest sister who is now 21 (yay). We had a couple of Moscow Mules ($3 for those) and enjoyed the brief time we had stools to sit on in the back alley. A pleasant but sticky evening, be aware the inside is not air conditioned. All-in-all, a great night and ok for the lowered priced drinks.
google avatar

Amihan A.

Yelp
I bought my friends 5 mixed drinks and the total came out to $35 plus tip. I bought three shots and it came out to $30 with tip. The drinks are dirt cheap but the only downside is how much ice they put in the drink. Literally. So. Much. Ice. Decent outdoor bar. It can get a little cold but they have heaters to keep you warm. The music playing was suitable for a Friday night out with friends. Also did not understand why there was only one bathroom. The line went down the stairs and was a long wait just to get in.
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
This place is STILL OPEN! Saw on here that it said it had closed down and got sad, but went by last night and they were open and I had a beer. The alley is a great open space for a drink during social distancing. Plenty of room. Just wanted to post to let people know it's not closed.

Ray M.

Yelp
I love this place !! small cute bar -- the vibes are so good! + the drinks are decently priced and tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
The Vault is one of those unique places everyone wishes they had in their local bar scenes. This ultra cool venue holds rich artistic vibes that would give any musically inclined soul inspiration. The best part about the place in my book is the live music on Saturdays, and wicked good cocktails on any day. The closed alley between buildings offers a perfect setting to host local bands and other acts. The little bit of seating offered in that area doesn't seem to faze onlookers. Only thing awkward about the setup is that the bathrooms are located right off the side of the stage area. I can't recall the cocktails that my boyfriend and I got that night, but whatever the bartender recommended was on point. Sweet, fruity, and fun to look at. If I'm ever back in town on a Saturday, I'll definitely swing by for another good night of fun, drinks, and live music.

Yelp
Gotta love this swanky little bar in the I.E. It's one of the best bars out in this area. When you walk into the main entrance, the lights are dim and your eyes are attracted to the vintage decor. You walk to the bar and order one of their tasty martinis for only $7! I love their banana martini even though I tend to dislike anything banana flavored, After you grab a martini, you walk down a few steps into the next room. You get a sense of being in some type of underground alley. There is always music playing and a crazy light show flashing on the brick walls. This is a great place to just go and chill or to have a crazy night out with friends.
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
I met up with some friends for a nightcap here at Vault Martini Bar & Grill. The bartender who made my drink was very nice and made me a very good Martini. I haven't had the food but would definitely recommend trying the Martini. They also had a few local beers on draft as well. I'd say that you can't really go wrong if your looking for a place to dive into for the night. Enjoy, MLA

Yelp
Located in an old building in Redlands, he Vault can go from a relaxing date night scene to a full on crowded party. I must admit the ambience is just so cool and I have been comin here for years and have so many good stories. I favor the giant chalkboard in the back entrance! One of my go-to stops when bar hoping in Redlandia!
google avatar

Vanessa E.

Yelp
Great drinks, crazy great prices. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Pee and throw up around the seat and floor, and a used tampon by the sink. We got our drinks, chugged and left.
google avatar

Kimy M.

Yelp
Very hipster but very cool bar. They have a decent sized inside and a good outside area as well. They do live music at times too. They have many drinks and the bartenders are awesome. Definitely coming back. They also have vegan/veg food if you get the drunkies(aka munchies)
google avatar

Joanna C.

Yelp
This is a cool spot, very Hipster but the drinks were good although a bit more pricier than a few of the other bars in Redlands. There are a few couches through the space but most hang out in the back where it's cooler (and they can smoke). Vibes are chill, no dancing, it's more of a place to drink and hang out.

Yelp
Great, laid back, bohemian, sultry, decadent, slightly corrupt, highly vague, active, passive, moody. I met a fornicatrice, memorable.
google avatar

Victoria D.

Yelp
Gilbert is the best and should be a bar tender cause everyone else is rude! Great music though!

Yelp
I Heart the Vault. I originally was going to take my mom for a cup of coffee, but the taste of an alcoholic beverage changed my mind. My mom was happy! It was around 5:30 on Thursday, not crowded. I've been when its crowded and its no fun. Our bartender Colin was cute and helpful. I had a Blueberry Martini (which really tasted like Blueberry. I don't know why I was surprised. I thought to myself of the scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). It was delicious, afternoon time approved strong and slightly sweet. Not overwhelming. My mom had a Sour Apple Martini. I tasted it, for quality assurance of course!. It was good, but I've had enough Apple Martinis for one lifetime. 2 drinks $14! SCORE. Nice Thursday afternoon outting.

Yelp
I have been trying to get a hold of this place. They have been charging my card and I have not been there in months. This is not acceptable. Shame on the person doing fraud! You deserve to go to jail.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Same thing happened to me about getting charged 2 days ago but I haven't there since august. No working phone number to call.
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
I all of a sudden have a charge on bank account also !!! WTF I haven't been here since JUNE !!!!!?????? MANAGEMENT ?????
google avatar

Cheri A.

Yelp
I came here with a friend and convinced her from yelp reviews that it was cool. On the walk from where we parked we met up with some ladies and they walked with us. Apparently, the one was hammered and they would not allow her in....I don't disagree...she was so we left them outside and went in. It is really small and maybe I am spoiled but I was instantly bored and we left.
google avatar

Janine G.

Yelp
Pretty divey, but the drinks are made well and they carry craft beers that I haven't seen anywhere else before. I had a drink called the Captain Crunch. It was awesome, even though it's more of a dessert drink. The service is fast, the bartenders are nice, and they were playing Say Anything and Manchester Orchestra last time I went, so I'll probably be back.
google avatar

Kara M.

Yelp
I just got 2 charges from this place when I haven't been there in months! And after reading all the recent reviews, it appears that I'm not the only one!! And I tried calling the business, but their phone number is disconnected!! So I had to cancel my card and all that. idk what's going on, but sounds pretty fraudulent to me.

Yelp
Went last night on 11/22/2019 and it's was my birthday I had my id it was going to expire but I had the dmv temporary paper and he told he I better leave before before 12 am he had a long beard and was at the door checking ids so I'm not sure if I will be going back after rudely being told to leave before 12
google avatar

Claudine V.

Yelp
Fun bar. No cover charge. Live music in the back. Tons of seating area. 2 bars in the front and the back area.
google avatar

Mary Anna M.

Yelp
Went here on a Tuesday and it was so packed! It was my first time in DTR. $2 drinks. Good music. Diverse crowd. Strong drinks. Nice bartenders. You can either dance outside or chill inside (it's pretty big). Can dress casual. You might have to wait in line for a while though. This is far from where I live but I'd come back if I was in the area.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
They still have the bartenders that care about their drinks and customers. They make the martinis like works of art. No slap and go here. And if one of the bartenders does that. Slap a review with his name on Yelp here. Landon and the other bartenders are first class. No wonder this place is so busy. Suggestion: the ambiance outside is cool, but how about rope lights and better furniture to upscale it a bit. Outdoors is so dated. And: it would be nice to have super-size martini glasses. Just charge us more. I hate small martini glasses and cheezy wine glasses. The "no haters" sign in the front works. Zero tolerance for machismo vatos and gang banger shit here. No asinine cliquish insecure bartenders here. It is a place for everyone to feel safe, cheerful, and relaxed. Thumbs up! ---Winodude
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
They make great drinks here! And great service as well. We came during early hours but still had a great time. Cant wait to come back and see the bands on the weekends!
google avatar

Judith B.

Yelp
Way too expensive for drinks with a dive bar feel will not back. We ordered 2 drinks so 1 drink a piece and we paid over 30 dollars this is way too over priced really need to revisit pricing or remodel to match prices.

Yelp
I've visited The Vault 4x, so it was time to FINALLY write a review... now I should say up front, that I've raged & partied at the best clubs in San Fran, NYC, LA, Seattle, Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, Chicago, Miami, & Scottsdale-AZ!! I've heard the BEST most ACCLAIMED DJ's in the world, and despite the amazing venues I've RAGED at around the world, The Vault is still an amazing UNBELIEVABLE place to party, see friends, have a drink or meet new people!! The DJ's are up and coming, creative and not afraid to try new things!! And if you like EDC / EDM beatz, you'll find your fave bass & drum at The Vault!! They may not be famous yet, but I promise you, they'll be discovered elsewhere soon!! If there's professionals from anywhere in the WORLD near Redlands for business or academic pursuits (University of Redlands, CSU San Bernardino, UC Riverside, or Loma Linda University) you can BET they'll be at The Vault on the weekends!!! It's totally like a global cosmopolitan cocoon entertaining some of the COOLEST, COSMOPOLITAN & CREATIVELY SMART PEEPS IN THE WORLD!!! Yeah you need to visit today.. .FO-SHO!!! I rate The Vault B+/A- !

Yelp
So, a little back story. This used to be my home bar before I moved away. It used to be great before the new management. Great bartenders, great clientele, fun music, open mic nights and karaoke. Now it has become very negative. I came back a few times with friends, and knew some of the old bartenders from back when I was 21 (I'm 29 now) and everything was great....but I did notice how less packed the bar had become. The crowd was also a lot different. Turns out, there has been hundreds of people that have been wrongfully 86d from this establishment due to the new manager, and most of these people on the list have been long time, loyal customers. These people have been 86d for the following: bringing a camera into the bar, having an expired ID, having a green card, forgetting to tip, going to the bathroom after last call, getting in an argument with someone that the manager is friends with and having different political views from the manager. It has not only become a negative environment, but it has become an environment where you don't feel 100% comfortable because you can get 86d (which means banned for life) from said bar SO easily. I've lived in many different states and big cities, and if this happened anywhere else, the bar would probably not be in business much longer. Needless to say, the numbers at the Vault have diminished quite drastically. The drinks aren't much better than any of the other bars nearby, so if you're visiting Redlands or new to the area, I would avoid this bar and go somewhere that's more accepting and loyal to their customers.
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
Good vibes here. A very chill place to hangout and drink in Downtown Redlands. This is one of the spots I regularly stop by while bar hopping. The venue is really neat. Very friendly staff. Why three stars? The drinks. Drinks here just aren't great. Plain and simple. When coming here I would recommend grabbing a beer. That's the safest bet. I have yet to have a halfway decent cocktail here.
google avatar

Bailey G.

Yelp
I've been coming here for almost two years now and although some of the best bartenders left (miss you, Shane!) I'm still pleasantly surprised by the service and the prices of drinks. It's on the verge of dive bar but still gives you the hipster feel that's cool enough to post on Instagram. They need to fix up the bathrooms since they're becoming more popular and actually install some soap dispensers. Other than that, I love this place!
google avatar

Gem R.

Yelp
Came here to catch up with a high school buddy and wanted to go to a spot in the I.E. where we wouldn't have to deal with ghetto fools. Thank goodness for Redlands. The ambiance was cool, save for the smattering of "bros" yelling incoherently from time to time, one star off for that. $2 well drinks looked tempting, but I opted for a dirty martini instead and got a Manhattan for my buddy. They were strong! Came out to $15.00 total. Not bad. The smoking patio out back was a nice spot to hang out as well. Looked like live music was setting up as we had to leave. I'll have to check that out some other night...
google avatar

Gabe O.

Yelp
Quick stop at this bar for a a couple drinks. The bartenders were cool AF and very efficient. Classic stereo system was bumping some decent tunes. Bar area is small but there is a large outdoor area for live bands.
google avatar

Aunchman L.

Yelp
I absolutely love the ambience here. The Maria sweet band, did their debut album release Gathering here tonight, I love the lighting, the brick, and the sound it gives off for the band. Bartenders are friendly and fast, but most of all I love how they treat the bands
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
This bar is one of kind and guarantees a good time to be had every time! The bar is located in the cute, little downtown part of Redlands right next to an awesome restaurant and art gallery. The decor is kind of funky, eclectic and the ambience matches it. The first room has a large bar with a smaller room attached with couches and places to sit and mingle. But the best part is the awesome outdoor patio which is a rad alley way that has lights strung with cool art and visual projections on the wall (sometimes!). This is where they have their bands or DJs play and it feels like you're in a romantic comedy every time! It's incredible ambience! There's also a second bar in the back, open on their busy nights and a second floor sitting area above that bar. The crowd is a good mix of local artists, college kids and older types. This place has tons of options for sitting, incredible entertainment and beautiful ambience! The bartenders are also always friendly and courteous. Look for Logan, he's the best! Great bar with everything you could need!

Yelp
Having spent my formidable years in Hemet, expectations for any bar in the Inland Empire are deservedly low. This place beats out the competition alone on the simple fact that 90% of the mouths here contain a full set of teeth. That's one of the nicer things to be said about the patrons; a not-so-nice comment would be that the dance floor looked like a high-density feed lot. I can't say for sure if it was the aggressive, uncoordinated gyration of well-padded birthing hips or sashaying man boobs, but some sort of gravitational duress seemed to cause an abnormal amount of glassware to part ways with the warm, sweaty coddle of sausage fingers and meet the harsh concrete below bringing about its rapid demise. The satisfying crunch of broken glass felt under each and every footfall required to traverse the outdoor patio would make Annie Lennox feel right at home. Strangely enough, there weren't very many martinis being slung across the bar here (a sugary, woo-girl concoction served "up" does not a martini make). --- Cliff Notes Version: ___________________ / \ | WOOOOOOOOOOOO! | \_ ________________ / (((()) \ / ((())))) \/ | ~ ~ | ( ) ` ' ( ) (` o ' ) ' ... . ... ` ' . .. . . . . . . ` ( . . . . . ... . ` ______, / ( . . . . . . . . _____| ) / ( . . . . . . ) . / ( . ` ---' . . . . ----' ..) Yelp
Came here not that long ago and the service is great. Bartenders are nice or maybe it's because I'm a girl. Anyway, been here on more than on occasion and every single time they make my old fashion they throw all the contents into a shaker and give it a shake or two. I always die a little inside when anyone shakes an old fashion. Is it too hard to use a stirring stick, gents? It's not like a martini where one gets the option. I also felt the need to disclose that I came on a Monday where it was not busy at all not even steady.

Yelp
I am sooooo pissed!!!! I just went to the vault with 4 friends. We each ordered our own drinks. My friend paid in cash for her drink then the bartender James told me & my other 2 friends we owed him $24. My 2 friends attempted to pay with their own cards. James said I'm only accepting payment on 1 card so "figure it out". I put $8 for my drink (the exact cost) on the bar counter & eventually wandered away bc James was taking so long to come back. He finally walked back over to my friends who again reminded James that they ordered separately & asked nicely to pay separately Without saying anything, he glared at us and dumped my friends two drinks, which were already made, down the sink right in front of us!!!!! WTF????!!!! He actually refused to accept payment!!!! Then he walked up to me and insisted i hand him back my drink, which I already paid for!!! I asked him why, but he just glared at me & continued to insist I hand him back the drink. I showed him I paid for the drink, but he kept insisting I give it back, so I did.... Mostly bc I was confused. He immediately dumped the drink I PAID for down the sink!!!! James is a freaking asshole!!! He refused to accept our money and was incredibly rude & hostile, for no reason. We were really nice and polite. I will never return unless they fire that douchebag. Worst bar experience of my life

Yelp
This bar seems like a cool place, don't be fooled. One of the things that I always notice is how they have SO MUCH space inside, and a line around the corner. The line is fake, the drinks are not that good. If you enjoy your drinks really watered down, and to be IGNORED by bartenders then this is the place for you! ****LADIES PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE**** Management doesn't care about their customers, or what even happens in their bar. I had a girl friend of mine get assaulted by one of the bartenders there. It wasn't instigated, it wasn't provoked, she was just trying to leave. Management dismissed the bartender THAT NIGHT, but some how the bartender was then brought back, and the girl BANNED from the bar. Management tried to then invalidate that the incident even happened, and continued to then just bad mouth my friend. What kind of SHADY place is this? You say something because your attacked, and YOU'RE BANNED!? What the hell? How can I bring friends and people there if I don't know if they are going to be safe. Let alone have retaliation from the bar when something goes wrong. You go to a business and pay into that business because you enjoy that business, and have a strong thought that they also appreciate your business. This place does not offer that customer appreciation. I own and operate my own very successful business so I know what client appreciation looks like. This place does not offer it's patrons safety if any incidents involve an employee being at fault. They'd rather have you kicked out than address any issue that you may have. I feel this place IS NOT a safe place for the ladies. Hit the Underground, Darby's, Falconer, The Dirty Bird. This place is a joke. It's a "good ol' boys club" when it comes to them protecting their own. ****LADIES PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL OF THIS PLACE****
