Absolutely ASTOUNDING! I hadn't ordered from them since they moved to the Arts District (I live out of their delivery zone), but it was so worth the (minimal) effort to go and pick up this bouquet. It's like something out of a painting--and the more you look at it, the more you appreciate the brilliant composition and detail.

Love, love, love my flowers!! They look even more beautiful than the photo on the website. The flowers were rich and vibrant in color, there were so many of them, the urn was high quality and I just could not be happier. Florists are expensive here in L.A. and this arrangement was not only worth every penny, but looked far more expensive and like a work of art. I will be a customer forever.

Great experience from easy online ordering to delivery. My friend loved her flowers. Said it made her day, which definitely made mine. Thank you! The only small suggestion is to have some options with brighter colors. Not a complaint though! Just random thought. I'm a guy, though, so what do I know???! LOL

Please update your opening hours. I drove quite a way to find out nobody's at the studio.

Peaceful Tranquil place of business with excellent customer service

A girlfriend turned me on to The Velvet Garden when I was planning a life celebration for my mom. Not only did they make a special trip downtown to get the exact colors/flowers I wanted the day after Mother's Day but they also delivered the bouquets to the restaurant in Santa Monica so I didn't have to. Customer for life!

My flowers are AMAZING!! My photo doesn't do it justice because the flowers are rich and vibrant in color, there are so many of them, even thr vase is pretty and high quality. This far exceeded my expectations and I just could not be happier. Florists are expensive here in L.A. and this arrangement was not only worth every penny, but looked far more expensive and like a work of art. I will be a customer forever.

ROMANCE WITH AN EDGE this place has been my go-to florist for the deliveries to the WeHo/K-town area. their flowers are classically romantic--think ranunculas, peonies, english roses. but the arrangements feel contemporary and stunning. not over-the-top modern and gimmicky, as some florists are doing. just beautiful. i appreciate that they will do modest yet gorgeous arrangements for $75 and deliver the same day. they also have a small storefront where we used to pick up fun and pretty glass ornaments around the holidays. thank you, VG!

Stopped by for a last minute arrangement. Kim and Bianca were super sweet and knew exactly what I was looking for. The flower arrangement is gorgeous. Definitely coming back. Thanks again, ladies. It was very nice meeting you two.

Hands down the BEST FLORIST in LA!!!!! The arrangements are stunning, and I have not been disappointed yet. They also have wonderful customer service as well. If you give them a theme, colors, price, and size of the arrangement, they can do that as well. You will not be disappointed, if you give them a chance. You will be hooked!

Walked in off the street in desperate need of an elegant bouquet of cut flowers for a dinner party and everyone was very accomodating. From this experience i would definitely recommend them for events or deliveries, which is how, i think, they typically interect with their clients

I can't believe I am the first to review!!! The flowers from here are drop your jaw gorgeous. Okay, pick it up and call next time you want to send someone special something that FTD could never match. Her style is antique rose's with a new modern twist. She loves the soft whites and deep reeds. Yummy.

Hands down, the ABSOLUTE most gorgeous flowers ever! No other florist even comes close. Stunning arrangements! Quality flowers that last a long, long time, in incredible, artistic designs. Consider yourself lucky if you receive these flowers, and if you want someone to feel really special, this is the place to go! Only drawback, it's a little pricey, but considering the beauty, and how long they last, you get your money's worth.

Being an ex-florist I am super critical. Velvet Garden honestly has the most fresh product combined with an amazing staff of designers. They really are on of the best in town. I have also seen some of their special event/wedding work and all I can say is WOW!

Very disappointed. $270 for small arrangement that wilted in 3 days. Will not use again. It was Valentine's Day so maybe we're running low on stock.

I sent this letter to this florist, generous I believe, considering what happened to me, and got no reply at all!!!!!!!!! Was shocked and decided that I should at least post my experience. I think an apology would have been in line, at least!! August 28, 2008 To whom it may concern: A very interesting thing happened for my wedding and I really think you should be aware of it. The week before August 10, 2008 I was walking by your store to go next door and I walked into your lovely establishment and was drawn to the back of the store. I was getting married on August 10, and when I saw the gorgeous arrangement that one of the girls was putting together in the back I knew immediately that I would want this arrangement for my wedding. I took your card, had the girls write the notes on the flowers and other plants in the arrangement and went on my way. I called a few days later and was told that yes, it could be done, etc., and that I should pick it up on Saturday. I was late coming in and the two employees who were they were very gracious and sweet to wait for me. The arrangement was beautiful. The execution was beautiful. But I have to say I was quite disappointed that there were almost none of the flowers that I ordered. I was a little in shock, and with no time to be able to do anything about it, neither on my end or yours, I went about the hundred thousand other things I had to do over the next 24 hours before my wedding. I had a Victorian theme to my wedding. My little dress was turn of the century, I used an Antique Victorian Cake Platter for my cake, garden roses and orchids spilled down the cake, the girls all wore lace, cream or white, it was held outdoors, picnic style, atop vintage floral blankets, under gorgeous trees including a blooming oleander with the ocean behind us. It was all so very beautiful. And yes, your flowers were indeed wonderful, but there was only one tiny garden rose, no sweet peas, and basically it didn't resemble the incredibly romantic creation I saw the day I ordered it. I want to tell you this because I really wish it could have been handled a little differently. I wish someone would have called me, let's say Friday or Saturday morning at the latest. It would have made a difference to me and I possibly could have had time to do something about it. The arrangement I saw was exactly what I wanted. I was so specific about it that I asked the girl to be meticulous about writing it down. I was so specific about it that I tried to get her to write it down and give it to me as well, which she wouldn't do, again to my disappointment. I also came all the way from Santa Monica to pick up that arrangement, and I am sure you can understand why I feel the way I do. Everything was wonderful that day and I don't want to say that this ruined anything. I am far too pragmatic to whine over something I cannot change.
