Caitlin designed flowers for our backyard wedding ceremony and dinner. She did an absolutely fabulous job listening to our vague vision and then putting it into beautiful bouquets for the event. She was very easy to work with, extremely patient with us and you could tell how invested she was in making certain her contribution was perfect for our wedding! Phenomenal floral design for my yacht wedding in Paris!! Caitlin and her team are absolutely brilliant. I cannot say enough wonderful things about how she beautified the boat on my budget. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for my wedding besides telling her a basic color scheme and some varieties of flowers I liked, so I handed her the reigns and let her do her thing and it turned out amazing! Everything she did was stunning, the guests could not stop talking about how beautiful and vibrant the florals were. I wish I had photos of the centerpieces she created as well because everyone wanted to take one home. This is my second time sending flowers from Velvet Poppy and I regrettably didn't review this first time, so here it goes: Wow! Honestly one of the best florist I've worked with! I came in person after navigating the website and thinking it'll be easier to talk through it live. The owner was super kind and listened to what I was looking for and helped answer a lot of my novice flower questions. The beauties attached are what were delivered and it was EXACTLY what I was envisioning for my partner. My partner is a designer and even she was absolutely floored how perfect they came out. Thank you Velvet Poppy for such a great exp end to end. The flowers you picked are clearly good quality and unique!

I won't leave a one star because I have gotten some nice arrangements in the past, however for my birthday my wife spent almost $300 for a birthday bouquet, and they were just not good. 1st They were the wrong color, and 2nd they were dying the same day. My wife Eunice is probably the most loyal customer they could've had, but when she complained they told her that they would give her a discount on her next order. Hilarious!!! Didn't try to rectify or make it right in any way. We live right down the block and it's unfortunate but we will just go to Gilly's who is amazing and never takes our business for granted. Very bad flowers and customer service!!! BYE!!!

This is one of the best flower shops I know. The shop itself feels like you're transported into some sort of mystical far away land surrounded by flowers you had no idea even existed. The prearranged bouquets for sale are a solid 12/10 and the ones that can be made on the spot really showcase the absolute care and creativity everyone who works here has. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs flowers for any event big, small or just because. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

I was so excited to come to this place because I saw a girl with the most beautiful bouquet and she told me that she got it at the velvet poppy. She also said they were so adorable (she told me the price) I went in and the woman was already assembling a bouquet so it took her some time but her demeanor was initially cold. She became nice once attending to me and was friendly. I asked if she could assemble the bouquet for me and that's my fault as I should've just done it nyselfnbutBut the flowers were expensive and lack luster. They died within a couple days. Very disappointing

Caitlin did our wedding in Austin, Texas and let me tell you, she is exceptional. She does her research, and knew where to go for an out of state wedding, as well as what would be available. Along with her great planning abilities, her talent and instincts with her arrangements are out of this world. Everything is unique and thoughtful, as well as beautifully executed. I've seen her arrangements on multiple occasions and can say she consistently delivers, all wonderful but catered to the individual clients. So happy I took a chance on this shop and popped in with a last minute floral arrangement request. Caitlin, the business owner, and her employee were so attentive, sweet, warm, and easy to work with! They were able to make some recommendations and put together a bespoke arrangement that perfectly suited the occasion (a funeral-themed birthday party), while making casual conversation and making me feel welcome. And lastly, the price for the arrangement and card I got were totally reasonable and in line with my budget. Highly recommend coming in for all your floral needs.

Ordered my daughter flowers for her birthday online. I live in another state and was a bit nervous not actually seeing the flowers I picked but the flowers she received were beautiful and unique. My daughter loved them. I initially picked the wrong date and called and they corrected my mistake without a problem. Great service and gorgeous flowers!

I have gotten flowers from the Velvet Poppy a few times and they are always stunning. The arrangements are visually interesting, unique, and always make me smile. Today, I ordered flowers for a friend who recently lost someone but I inadvertently put in the wrong address for delivery. The delivery person could not have been more pleasant about my mistake, got it all sorted out, and made note that she didn't want to bother my friend who was going through a hard time. My friend was so touched by how beautiful the flowers were and I couldn't have been happier with the service.

I love supporting local businesses in my neighborhood and velvet poppy was amazing! I ordered a flower arrangement for my boss's birthday and Caitlin made the most beautiful arrangement with her favorite colors. She was super accommodating and the flowers are magically lasting forever. How does she do it?? A good friend of mine had plans to get married in Hawaii but due to the pandemic that plan was canceled. Instead they had a backyard wedding, I reached out to Caitlin, last minute, literally the evening before with a request for a tropicalesque bridal bouquet and flower crown. By asking for a tropical feel, I was afraid that I might be getting a bouquet that would end up too Hawaiian/Tropical or over-the-top. I didn't want to ask for specific flowers or colors because I wanted to be mindful of the limitation (not to mention my last minute request) but Caitlin nailed it. The bouquet and crown was perfect! A touch of tropical with that soft boho chic design. It really made brought everything together and the bride was beaming with excitement.

I love this little flower shop. If I lived in Silver Lake I'd stop in every day for fresh flowers. They do a great job of finding a variety of flowers that I don't typically have access to in my area (toffee roses???). I also love the small, affordable dried flower arrangements. Goblets, vases and other small gifts as well.

I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Caitlin and her team are excellent. They go above and beyond. Not only did they take the time to really figure out what my needs were but delivered on them beautifully. Her arrarngements are thoughtful and inspired.

Before we started the process of looking for a florist for our wedding, I had been following The Velvet Poppy on instagram and was obsessed with her gorgeous work. I figured there was no way she would be available or in our price range, but she was both! She was so easy to communicate with and not only delivered on our wedding day, but when we walked into the venue we were literally speechless of how gorgeous of a job she did.
