"For a taste of whimsy, find your way to The Vesper. Here, you’ll discover a lackadaisical chandelier with teeny lampshades over each bulb hanging from the ceiling and a hodgepodge of upholstered furniture. You’ll also see funky art with large canvases and bold colors adorning the walls as well as a mannequin reclining on the upstairs balcony. The sweet and creamy Ainsley Fix is a fan favorite; the cocktail combines bourbon with citrus, pineapple, and Peychaud’s, adds a spritz of rose water, and tops it off with a fluffy egg white foam. The froth is crowned with a sprinkling of dried rose petals." - Johanna Harlow

Google
Pretty nice place. Lovely vibe and ambience, has a lounge like feel with a nice bar area and some good cocktails which my colleagues really liked. Would definitely recommend a stop in here especially for a cozy drink. They have a pretty good happy hour for drinks. I was not otherwise impressed with the food, which was presented well, however the flatbread was salty and other items not memorable (had the warm nuts, deviled eggs and hummus). I think the highlights were the attentive staff and the alcoholic drinks. I would stop by again for sure!

Google
Absolutely amazing service and delicious cocktails. I particularly enjoyed my mocktails that were absolutely divine. Ended up getting two of the same alcohol-less drinks — the Josie. Highly recommend! The service was excellent too.

Google
This is our go to spot for a drink or two or three! Situated in downtown Campbell, the Vesper is best spot outside of Downtown San Jose to grab a pour of your favorite whiskey or we'll crafted mixed drink. For you bourbon enthusiasts reading this, you are going to love this place! A awesome selection of hard to find pours at VERY reasonable prices. ...and those pours are usually healthy ones! The food menu isn't extensive, but the dishes we've tried have been good to very good. The atmosphere is awesome, well laid out and plenty of seating. We usually like to sit at the bar, but even when seated at a table, you don't feel too far away from the action. Bar staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Google
The best! I’m a local and proud to say this is my go to hang out spot. The staff is fantastic and always provides outstanding service. They make you feel like you are family and are always happy to see you. Food and drinks are always great! Nice happy hour too.

Google
Loved the ambiance. Upper level seating is very cozy. A potential place for girl gang hangouts. Not many vegetarian options for food, but in general the menu is very lean. Drink menu is very creative though. Will definitely go again.

Google
Awesome cocktails with a flair! Awesome place to bring your date to impress, good prices and right in the heart of the downtown strip, fun fact - have some cocktails and take your date next door to the arcade and play some pinball, excellent date night in Campbell!

Google
This place is the best for a Friday night drink after work. The appetizers on happy hour were delicious! And they accommodated for gluten free. The best part were the drinks. I kept getting the city drink- the one topped with wine- and will be back for this again. Vesper is a great spot but expect crowds and loud acoustics. Not the place for an intimate dinner but better for a Friday night out.

Google
Made a last minute reservation on Saturday night around 8pm. We arrived early, and luckily, there was one open outdoor table available. Service was great. The food and drinks including the water refill came to our table with very good timing at this busy restaurant! We had the Heirloom Tomato Salad -- tomatoes with balsamic, burrata, and melon -- was a great way to start the meal. The mussel toast was AMAZING 😍!!! That's a seafood lover's dream! The Baby Back Pork Ribs with Mongolian sauce was really tasty and tender, and the touch of sesame seed in the cole slaw made it very unique. And my Elderflower mocktail was refreshing and enjoyable.

Yelp
This place has got to be my favorite bar. I love how the menu has the images of your drink next to it with a full ingredient list. The drinks were fine but nothing special, the appeal of this place is in its atmosphere. It's the perfect date spot because of its dim lit environment and the romantic vibes it gives off, would come back for sure.

Josh D.

Yelp
This bar is pretty chill and not too loud! I went on a weekend and we were able to get a seat at the bar considering how busy it was on Valentine's day. Their cocktails are great and the bartenders casually check up on you which is really nice! There's only street parking, but if you have to park far, you should be fine, it's a nice walk and a good location. I recommend getting their deviled eggs and you can add bacon bits to it. I also suggest getting the drink called Sleepwalker (smokey & balanced tequila) and the Ainsley Fix (citrusy/floral). We didn't stay for too long, but I will for sure try out their other food and cocktails.

Bianca E.

Yelp
Delicious drinks! I tried the Imaginary friend which was creamy but still light, the Thompson Gunner, sweet and a little sour, and the Figure Eight, which was my favorite, it was warm and reminded me of the holidays. For food we ordered the vegetarian flatbread which was just okay, but good to snack on with drinks. This place gets busy! We came on a Friday night around 7:30 and were lucky to find a spot at the bar, otherwise the wait was 2 hours. The restaurant is small with close tables and the bar has maybe at most 10 seats. If you're at the bar and finished your drink be prepared to be kindly reminded that there is a long wait, hinting for you to leave, which we saw a couple times.

Purvika P.

Yelp
While the ambiance of the bar was pleasant, with a cozy upstairs area, the overall experience fell short. Our server upstairs was not personable, didn't explain anything about the menu, was barely upstairs leaving us forgotten on a couple of occasions. The food came out within minutes of being ordered, and we had ordered the tacos. The tacos themselves were good, but the real disappointment was the prolonged wait for drinks. Each round took a staggering 20 minutes to materialize, significantly dampening the overall experience. If only the bar could match the efficiency of its kitchen with its drink service, it would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Evelyn C.

Yelp
Food is super tasty (kid and adult approved). The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I took my mom and sisters here for a special occasion and everyone was impressed by the ambiance (casual but nice). The bar is impressive and the bites pack great taste. I can't say enough nice things about this place and ALL of its staff. I'll be returning as often as I can.

Matt L.

Yelp
I personally love The Vesper and find it to be a phenomenal establishment with great drinks, very cool laid back ambiance, and excellent service. I unfortunately don't remember what I ordered here since I have been many a times and try different things, but the drinks are always well made and don't disappoint. Everything is always super tasty and well presented. I haven't had food here aside from some happy hour snacks, but those were delicious. If you come earlier in the evening it will be less busy, but it gets quite busy at night (rightfully so- it is great). I never have complaints about The Vesper and would absolutely recommend it. It is, in fact, perhaps one of my favorite places to go whilst in Downtown Campbell. Surely one of my favorite places for cocktails! Do yourself a solid and check it out, you won't regret it.

Jordan C.

Yelp
Came here before getting dinner. Haven't been back in 6 years since a random date. Drinks are top notch still with a good variety. Five stars for drinks. Not too pricey for the area at $16 for cocktail. Food menu looks a little shortened from before but didn't get a chance to try it. The ambiance is quite nice when it's busy. Though I do feel like this is more of bar with small bites and food is secondary. Would recommend if you are looking to grab a drink!

Adrienne B.

Yelp
The espresso martini was so good! The blond bartender made it. The food was pretty good. It was a darker venue with loud music but good vibes! Took about 20 minutes to get a drink around 8pm on a Friday night but worth the wait. It was a tad bit hot inside as well but that was partly due to the martini.

Elodie T.

Yelp
Vesper is probably my current favorite bar in South Bay - their menus change seasonally and so far I haven't had a single drink that I haven't liked. I try to get something new every time and I still haven't tried everything on the menu! I also really liked that they do special drinks sometimes - there was a cool lunar new year drink this year that came in a cool cat mug and although the price was a little higher, I did get to bring the glass home! Super cute I've got a friend who always orders the meatballs and I've had the flatbread a few times (also delish). Our one constant is the the chips and onion dip (it's on the menu as the caviar option but you're able to order it without the caviar). My friends and I are typically there early Sunday evenings right before trivia and are just grabbing nice drinks and snacks - it usually isn't too busy unless there is a major event nearby or in downtown Campbell (if so then the place is packed). Service is pretty quick and friendly during the quieter times, but as it gets busier, there can be quite a wait between drink orders. I would still come during busier times but if I'm planning on having more than one, I might put in my 2nd drinks order before I've finished my first if we're on a time crunch!

Jimmy R.

Yelp
James you call us racist when no one remembers you being here? Black Superman yah a drink you should prob not order. We've been the vesper for 8yrs so good on the rendezvous reference.

Priscilla D.

Yelp
*First time review* I was walking around Campbell so decided to grab a bite to eat midday at 2pm and stumbled upon The Vesper! I am not much of a drinking but I figured I'd try something new today. I got deviled eggs with bacon and an espresso martini. Now let me start off by saying "wow!!!!" The place is so cute inside, had AC on (it's fairly warm today), and the waitress/host was really nice. I wanted the espresso martini really sweet for my afternoon pick me up. It has a mix of 5 or so thing but the majority is a a shot of espresso, almond liquor, vodka and some other things. Honestly insanely good taste like a latte with a bang. The deviled eggs are really good too! Reasonable price at $11 (with bacon) or $9 without. Very tasty.

James H.

Yelp
I went in and asked for a Black Superman. The bartender refused to make my drink. I asked if he was racist. He would not make my drink. Seriously how hard is it to make a Black Superman. I would never go back. Not to mention how when they were transitioning from Rendezvous Wine Bar to whatever abomination the bar is now. They shit on the original staff after loyal service. I would rather get cancer than go to a place that won't make a black super Man.

Crystal L.

Yelp
The drinks here are so fun and delicious. Love going here with my bf spontaneously when we're in dt Campbell. We've been trying different drinks. Most are good, but some are a little different to my palette. But I like that I get to try different things. It can get crowded and the wait can be long on the weekend. Be careful bc they will tell you they'll call you/text you when your seats are ready, but that's not always the case. I hear the onion dip is amazing so that's best on my list to try in addition to another cocktail. Nice vibes and aesthetics. Definitely a bar to stop by when in Campbell

Tamara A.

Yelp
Vibey, clean, amazing staff. Drinks/ mocktails were on point. We had deviled eggs, hummus, ceviche, chicken tinga tacos, all dishes were properly excuted. Make a reservation!!

Yelp
We arrived at 5pm on a rainy Tuesday and plenty of tables. We took the casual coffee table plus sofa to the right as you enter. We had a nice view of the restaurant, especially that gorgeous bar. Service was terrific. I didn't get her name but my waitress was pregnant and did her thing! Order was taken, food recommendations and everything came out so quickly so we can enjoy. The happy hour drinks were decent but we mainly stuck to the cocktail menu. The food items were off the dinner menu as there was no HH food items. Great flavors in the food items we ordered. Deviled eggs - you cannot go wrong. Steak tartare - everything on there went so well together. Brisket tacos - large tacos and with the price of 3 Such a cute restaurant. Will come back for different food items and more delicious drinks.

April G.

Yelp
Chose this place because they offer happy hour on Fridays. Did not have to wait for a table as we were quickly seated upstairs. It was much quieter than downstairs and had cool seating options with lounge like areas for larger groups. The happy hour menu only had drink options so we ordered some small plates off of the regular menu to share. Food was tasty and came out quickly. My only complaint was that the steak tartare could've been chopped into smaller pieces. It was a bit challenging to spread it on the bread. I was impressed by their large cocktail menu and I definitely want to come back and try more drinks!

Ashwin S.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Campbell, they had great service and strong cocktails. We ordered a couple of snacks and they were good too, not much of a wait on a Saturday evening at 7:30. Again want to call out the service, it was stand out!!Would come back if in the area!

Trinh A.

Yelp
Be sure to check their current menu since a lot of the food pics on Yelp aren't there anymore! This place is cute and aesthetic. The anchovy antipasti was very different but interesting to try! None of their other food items really stood out to me to order. But seems like people more come here to have a drink.

Yelp
Pros: - Easy Drink menu with great presentation and awesome tasting cocktails. Only came here for drinks, but its one of the best speakeasy places i've been to and its in Campbell! Lots of places to go before and after as well but i end up staying here! - Great environment. Very intimate, comfortable at night, and not too loud so great place to chat with a friend or family - Service is outstanding. The servers are great at suggesting drinks, never had to wait long to be seated or to order more. A+ love it Cons: - Pricey - as mentioned in other reviews, you are looking at $14/cocktail for a high quality cocktail. - Location can be hard to find since its at the end of the street and if you're driving it is far from a garage (will not suggest you driving if you're drinking!) Overall - Very little cons to this place and is definitely my go to spot. Will return many times!

Yelp
We met up with some friends on a Sunday afternoon for a couple of cocktails. We were able to get a table right away and were immediately helped. I got the "Everything Nice" cocktail which tasted like I was having a dessert - think espresso martini but with a coconut and chai twist. It was absolutely delicious and I'm craving it again just thinking about it. My grandmother got the "East of Eden" which was so refreshing and you really get a nice hint of the thyme. They have an extensive menu with innovative cocktails to suit whatever your heart desires!

Winston C.

Yelp
Came to Vesper with another couple on a double date during the Oktoberfest on Sunday. We came for drinks and all the cocktails were $14. They have a great list of creative cocktails and my wife and I ordered the Sleepwalker and Down Comfort. The Sleepwalker was new to me. I'm not into tequila but the citrus flavor of lime and pineapple really masked the taste of tequila. Overall interesting, but not my thing. Thankfully my wife enjoyed it. I never had egg whites in a cocktail so I ordered the Down Comfort. It was a pleasant experience. The top of the cocktail was creamy due to the egg whites and the lower portion of the drink had a flavorful punch because of the vodka, citrus, and brown sugar angostura bitters. Interesting mix that came out great. The curried hummus and pita was surprisingly good! We finished it soo quickly. The curry did not overpower the hummus flavor and the pita was well baked. The pesto gnocchi was amazing. Pesto sauce wasn't too light; but the highlight is the soft gnocchi. It felt like chewing on pillows filled with cheese. Loved it.

Meghna S P.

Yelp
Perfect for a girls night out or a date night. Loved how cool the bar was too.. came here with a few gal pals and it was interesting to see how packed it was. Good thing we had a reservation! It was only 6 pm and was getting busier. We got seated right away, our server got us water and menu. Tons of options in the menu so we ordered the hummus, anchovy buratta platter and the veggie flatbread. This was a good quantity for the 3 of us and I think could have easily fed a fourth :) The Buratta was super fresh and the bread that comes with was delicious. The hummus was flavored so made it all the more delicious. Veggie flatbread was wholesome and full of veggies and was quite tasty. The cocktails were superb - we got couple of gin based ones and one mezcal green go. coming back here again!

Magdalena _.

Yelp
Erica is an amazing server, she was welcoming and attentive. She was also heartwarming and fun!! She knew the ins and outs of the menu and helped us find the most delightful cocktails for each our styles. Will be back for Erica, give this girl a raise!!

Rohan B.

Yelp
Nice cocktail place in Campbell! Loved the "Hiccup cure" cocktail. Did not like the "Mis Interpret" cocktail. The veggie flatbread was ok. Service could have been better - attributing it to Friday evening busy-ness.

Roy L.

Yelp
The Vesper is one of the best places to have a quick drink, and a quick snack as well!!! I always come here with coworkers or even a corporate get together. We always start with a few drinks, I always talk with "down comfort" and making my way to the tequila section :). I am not a salad person but you guys need to try the Melon and tomato salad, it is so delicious and worth every single time I go! This is the first time I tried beef tartare, and it was delightful to my palate and I will always come back and try it again. The service is super attentive and nice they are always willing to help you order whatever fits best. The atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit louder during the night time so if you wanted a quiet meal, this would not be the place. Overall one of the best bars to start out at with delicious drinks and food!

Kristi H.

Yelp
tl;dr Decently reasonable pricing for an upscale dining experience! Portions are on the smaller size, but if you don't eat a ton, you can still leave full. My fiancee and I came here on a date night and ordered drinks, the quesadilla ($14), tenderloin tartare ($22), and pesto gnocchi ($16). Despite not liking pesto much, I preferred the gnocchi over the other two dishes we got. The taste was balanced and flavorful, and the gnocchi was so soft and chewy! The drinks we got were the Elderflower Soda mocktail and the alcoholic drink that also has elderflower flavoring. I enjoyed my eldeflower soda a lot, while my fiancee said his drink was good at first, and then just tasted like the alcohol after a while, a type of alcohol that isn't his favorite. Would definitely return if in the area or wanting this type of food again! Just wish the menu were a little bigger - not sure if it rotates. Falls just short of a 5 due to portion size and limited menu options for me.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
came here for the tail end of happy hour on a friday night. the lower floor was pretty crowded and a little noisy, so we opted for a booth upstairs. there's tons of funky decor and a mix of tables, booths, and couches to accommodate a variety of party sizes. we tried 3 of the happy hour drinks and they were all tasty for a good price. we had the meat flatbread at well which is great for sharing. the service was super friendly and attentive! will definitely visit again for happy hour deals

Marie N.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Campbell. Love the vibe and ambiance here. It's perfect for a date night or hanging out with friends. They have happy hour daily until 6pm. Their cocktails are great and haven't had one I didn't like.

Dominique M.

Yelp
If you're coming to downtown Campbell this is the place to go. I feel like Campbell has a lot of "upscale" bar restaurants that are actually just overpriced items I could literally make at home. Vesper did not have that boomer out of touch vibe whatsoever. Vesper has a nice open inside with lots of seating. My husband and I sat at the bar, I was quite hangry looking for a dish that would satisfy me without feeling heavy on the stomach and my pockets. Our waiter was Roy and he was a literal sweet heart. Really nice, happy guy. He was attentive while I was indecisive with the menu. I went to the bathroom and came back to my husband ordering deviled eggs and a Pilsner. The eggs were SO YUMMY. I'm an egg girly, any type of egg I'm eating it. They were smooth and vinegary and the cabbage was the perfect touch of crunchy. The prices you cannot beat and the pilsners on tap were awesome too.

Tiffany A.

Yelp
Second time visiting here (outside happy hour this time) and had another great visit! Was seated in the upstairs area which we all loved the vibe. Drinks and food were all outstanding. Food was all delicious! Deviled eggs Meat flatbread Edamame Pesto gnocchi Hero sandwich Drinks are always so spot on. They don't mess around. Our server Dolly was so amazing!! Thank you babe!

Yelp
The Vesper Cocktail Bar Campbell CA Sat 3/12/22 © When's the right time to update my review? Why, when the mannequin changes its clothes and no one notices, of course! Laughing! When the food & cocktail menu changes, so does she! Or is it my imagination? You figure it out, I'll describe the ambience for ya! Oh, the mannequin! The lady up in the attic alcove! Have you noticed that she's got a change of outfit? I liked her so much more back last Fall, when she was dressed in leopard and red heels! Now she's in Grey LOL & nobody notices her any more, patrons don't even know that she's there! ;-) Nope, I have nothing to do with it! So now she's more modest, famed mannequin lady that used to wear seducing off-shoulder leopard dress and red stilettos, lounging in the overhead alcove niche. She's now in Grey top & black bottom, with matching black shoes. Ha-ha, what does it all mean? Today on the twelfth day of March in the year 2022, the restrictions are lifted, masks inside are no longer required, and people are out to celebrate! Sounds are loud, bar is crowded, bartenders behind the counter look like laborers of another trade LOL and all together, it feels festive, the truth! That calls for the Vieux Carré in Cajun Creole style with the single ice cube. Rye Cognac, Sweet vermouth, Bénédictine Bitters, 14 bucks. Happy hour is 4-6pm, I came past that mark. Vieux Carré is a classic straight from '30s New Orleans, a fascinating drink! A short, slow sipper that begins with equal parts of rye whiskey, cognac, and sweet vermouth, gets you in the mood! I'd say it was a little different and lip smacking good! Yes, Ryan M. the Bartender who makes the best drinks, still here, thankfully. Last fall I asked him for food recommendations and advice, so glad that I did. Everything turned out to be spot on! I've been back several times since, posted photos from each visit. Always go for warm Potatoes & Raclette - hot cheesy roasted fingerling potatoes and salami, garnished with pickles, I have to tell you it's one of the best dishes here! Today's reincarnation contained Italian Pancetta Coppata salume, pickled Cauliflower, Cornichons, and Brussels. You have to try these! Charcuterie plate with cornichons, yes, and the best part is the warm fingerling potatoes raclette covered in cheesy yumminess that goes so well with a Bloody Mary! It is the best drink to go with this plate. You know how Bloody Mary's could be a completely different drink depending on the establishment? The one at The Vesper that Ryan mixes with unique house-made bloody mix is phenomenal! Bloody Mary will take your stuffed olives, with pickled scallions or garlic, a string bean or German horseradish so well! I do have to tell you that Street Corn Salad is gone from the menu, regrettably, no more, and is greatly missed! Ryan enlightened me on this dish last year. Initially I assumed that Street Corn Salad would be simply a blend of mixed greens base, typically sprinkled with corn kernels, oh boy, was I delightfully surprised! It was a bowl of warm corn with Cotija cheese, Chili, Micro Cilantro, Tajin seasoning, a unique blend of mild chili's, topped off with Pickled Onions and Kewpie, which I learned is a smoother, creamer Japanese mayonnaise, because it's made with rice rather than distilled vinegar. This dish was so fantastic, I considered ordering seconds last time! The Reverend & The Drifter cocktail for dessert! Yeah, go ahead and laugh! Stiggins pineapple rum, add Oftd rum, Spiced pear liqueur, Orgeat, Lemon, & Cherry juice! O.F.T.D. Rum if you're ain't sure, is Old Fashioned Traditional Dark Rum, overproof! Burnt sugar and Carribean spices aromas, perfect for tiki-style! Served in a Tiki mug! With fresh mint and purple orchid flower! 14 bucks! Yum! *Scout Vesper Softly falls the rain today As our campsite floats away, Silently each Scout should ask, "Have I brought my scuba mask? Yelp
I got bad food poisoning from here. I had their salad and it was very bad. I was vomiting the entire day. They need to wash their salad.

Tom S.

Yelp
Came away a little mixed on our last visit. Nice atmosphere and ecclectic vibe brings us back, but depending on the bar tender, drinks can be mediocre. I had a Vesper and it was nearly undrinkable, and I rarely say that about boozy cocktails, but just tasted off. You'd think they could do a proper Vesper at Vesper!....it's a pretty simple drink. That said, for Campbell, a pretty nice cocktail destination given few choices nearby. Also some pretty good bites of food, flat breads, and other gastro pub fare. Lively spot, variety of seating options from loungy couches to tables and the bar.

Katie R.

Yelp
Truly some of, if not the best cocktails in Campbell. I always end up leaving impressed with whatever I had to drink. The servers are extremely knowledgable of the cocktails...and there are a lot of drinks to know. Let them know what alcohols and flavor profiles you like and they'll probably suggest the perfect drink. They have a happy hour here everyday until 6pm...yes, even on weekends! Currently happy hour menu just consists of select drinks (wine, beer, and cocktails), and did I mention they're only $9 (outside of happy hour the cocktails are $14 ). Yes, $9 for an amazing cocktail made with high quality ingredients and high quality alcohol...none of that well business. Though, they do have well drinks available too. Looks like most types of alcohol are covered on the HH menu too, which is nice and a little less limiting. I've only had a handful of items from the food menu - mostly small bites - but I've enjoyed what I have eaten, and find the prices to be very reasonable for an upscale cocktail bar. The bacon wrapped dates are usually a must order. The atmosphere on the main floor is swanky meets chill and the massive bar shelves serve as a great eye-catching center piece. One time on a crowded night I had to sit upstairs, didn't love the vibe up there...felt like we were missing out on what was going on. But I will say, we were the only ones up there and still received fast service and definitely were not forgotten.

Yelp
Upper management is a pain to deal with. They don't give breaks to their employees. The kitchen uses mostly canned items so the whole "fresh" food is a lie. All desserts are not fresh as well and microwaved. I was overworked constantly. Had a seven person staff for about a year. Extremely toxic work environment. Upper management makes unnecessary comments about employees.

Erik J.

Yelp
I love this place. Its got a very cozy vibe in downtown campbell. The drinks are always delicious and I tend to savor them instead of chugging. My go to are always tequila based drinks but they have something for everyone on the menu! I seem to get much better service in off-peak hours. When its busy the staff looks like they are scrambling. Thats why I prefer to come in off peak hours.

Yelp
The Vesper is a great modern bar in Downtown Campbell to grab a drink, especially if you're looking for speciality cocktails! They were busy but not packed when we got there around 10pm on a Saturday. They're only open until 11pm on Saturday's, and we only stayed for one drink. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, and they have a couple of heat lamps set up. Both their large window and door were kept open, and there was good airflow for the indoor seats. I'm not usually a cocktail person, but when in Rome, right? Our server was really helpful and recommended the Ginger Nap (Vodka, Passionfruit, Ginger Syrup, Lemon, Regan's Bitters, $14, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=WFQAviqc17bFK5IC2Nm-eA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg), since I was looking for a drink that wasn't too sweet. This drink was great since there was a subtle tartness from the passionfruit and lemon. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was that it was a little too bitter for my preference, and I thought it could've used a little more passionfruit. I would come back to check out more of their signature cocktails, and also give their food a try. Parking in this area can be tough on the weekend nights, but there are street parking spots available as well as a few parking garages.

Yelp
I haven't explored Downtown Campbell as much as I would have liked, but Vesper's is truly a great spot to hang out. I love the interior -- it feels a little antique, and they have an impressive display of spirits. I stopped by after dinner with a friend on a weekend night, and the atmosphere was lively but still fairly laid back. Didn't get a seat at the bar but there were a few tables available. They also sometimes open the upstairs area which has really unique furniture and interesting trinkets. The bartenders here are so friendly and nice. They really like getting creative with their drinks, so they made a few drinks for us. I really liked the Tiki one they whipped up. They clearly know what they're doing so it's definitely a respectable spot when it comes to its cocktails!

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday night for some drinks. There was a good amount of people inside but we were still able to sit at a table immediately. I ordered the Pretty without the "R" (4/5). It was a nice sweet cocktail. Nothing too exciting. My boyfriend got the Sleepwalker (1/5) which was horrible in my opinion. It had an overwhelming smokey flavor that just stays in your mouth. Neither of us liked it. Despite the one bad cocktail, I do like the vibe of this little bar. I loved that the cocktail menu was separated by spirit and included a picture of the cup it would be served in. I would definitely come back to try some other drinks.

Yelp
Drinks were not good at all. Do not recommend. The vibes are nice but the drinks tasted terrible. Go to flights if you want some good drinks

Yelp
Everyone raves about the cocktails but my favorite was the Brisket Grilled Cheese. It paired really well with the whiskey drinks. Here is what we ordered and my ratings. Food: - Brisket grilled cheese (5/5): buttery toasted bread layered with stacks of juicy brisket and cheesy goodness with a hint of mustard seeds - Ribs (3.5/5): ribs were okay but not memorable, coleslaw was meh too Drinks: - Pisco Sour (4/5): sweet and foamy - Ainsley fix (5/5): my favorite! Refreshing and foamy! Our server was super friendly too. Will sit at the bar next time for drink recommendations because some of the drinks were too sweet for my taste.

Yelp
Love coming here for drinks and apps! I have only had a couple things on their menu but it's always been good! Drinks are top tier. Service can be a little slow unfortunately

Yelp
This place is great! They're always trying out new beverage recipes. The bartenders are fun. Best drinks: Handshake Agreement (bourbon and smooth) Bare Necessities (rye and fruity) Crimson Kiss (gin and refreshing) Ainsley Fix (whisky and tart) And if they have pesto gnocchi, it's a must order.

Yelp
Great date spot! Nice ambiance, dim lighting but not too dark. A bit slow on service when it's busy, but overall I'd definitely come back again. I enjoyed the flatbread (basically a thin pizza) and the whisky sour. The bacon wrapped dates and deviled eggs were good too, but I preferred the flatbread.

Yelp
Come here for the drinks, go elsewhere for the food. Ah well if you have a sensitive stomach also don't come here for piscos. My friend threw up from the egg white. Anyway! Most of their menu is drinks, and not ones with egg white. I really liked the whiskey based drinks I got here. There are sweet ones, alcohol forward ones, fruity ones... Food (at least post-covid) consists of microwaved finger food put together by whoever happens to be working. No chef here! Don't expect food you used to get here. You can see the pics of food below. We basically got handed boiled potatoes with unflavored melted butter lol.

Yelp
Time to update my review. Been coming to Vesper constantly, as in once a week constantly! And I just saw they updated their menu, and bow serve (among others) muffaletta sandwiches!!!! Soooo I had to put some pants on and come over to check it out! Fan fricking tasting sando, brought me back to new orleans!

Yelp
Drinks are a little funky but good. I'd say u could skip the deviled eggs, but onion dip was yummy! Cute intimate place

Yelp
Great drinks and yummy food nestled in the perfect location of downtown Campbell. They have outdoor dining and heat lamps that keep you warm once it gets dark. I will definitely be back. On an entirely unrelated note, but something I still want to mention on yelp, I feel like you can tell a lot about establishment from the type of toilet paper they use. Sure, we don't go out with the intention of checking toilet papers but it's always some thing that I noticed when I go to the bathroom. Most restaurants have your standard cheap ginormous rolls of toilet paper that are kind of rough but get the job done. The Vesper has really nice toilet paper in the bathrooms and to me that means they really do care about their patrons. I know it's not the most important thing, but it was something I noticed that made me smile.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the better half of the last decade. The ambiance here is always amazing and the cocktails don't disappoint. The bar is dimly lit and there are a plethora of options on the menu for all different types of palates. I highly recommend the Sleepwalker if you like mezcal or tequila based drinks.
