The Victor Restaurant and Bar

We had the ceasar salad , cote de boeuf, duck fat fries and skillet cookie for dinner. All the food was amazing and came out nicely seasoned. Wine I got was Jonata "Todos" Red blend and that has been the best wine I ever had , it was sweet and savory and had silky / velvety tannins . Perfect for the steak and fries. Kyle took great care of us and the busser was friendly and helpful throughout our dinning experience. Highly recommend and will be back one day ! *I started serving the steak before the photo so thats why the plating is off *

Came here for Sunday brunch while staying at Chumash (their restaurants could use some help in the service department), and we were pleasantly surprised. The location and outdoor seating were beautiful! The hostess and server were both kind and knowledgeable—and most importantly, the food was very good. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back the next time we're in the area.

Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner and what a gem! We sat on their beautiful patio, which has heating lamps. I highly recommend the tri-tip and the orange wine. An absolutely delicious pairing. The restaurant itself has a killer ambiance, with plenty of cozy indoor and outdoor seating. This was my favorite meal in Santa Ynez!

After a fun night at Chumash Casino, we finally decided to try Victor Bar & Grill in Solvang — and wow, I’m so glad we did! I’d been hearing great things about this place, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife ordered the filet mignon, and it was perfection — tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how she likes it. I went for the Victor Burger fully loaded, and let me tell you… this thing is next-level. Juicy, piled high with toppings, and honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The drinks deserve their own shoutout — not only delicious, but also strong. It only took me two to catch a good buzz (and I’m not a lightweight). The cocktails were crafted so well, you can tell they put care into every pour. The ambience is super cute and quaint — perfect for date night, but also laid-back enough to just enjoy and relax. And the staff? Absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and really made the whole experience feel special.

Great brunch! $1 beers all day Sundays! Ceviche, huevos rancheros, and burger were all home runs! Highly recommend this place!

The Victor has a beautiful outdoor seating area with the fireplace. Nice indoors also. But for me the food was very disappointing I ordered the roasted chicken and what I ended up with was a piece of chicken breast with a wing on it that was way too dry for a restaurant of that quality and I wasn't happy with the side dishes which included overcooked fingerling potatoes. The other two people with me ordered the salmon and tri-tip, but neither of them was happy with the side dishes either. Total bill for the three of us was about $190 and that did not include any alcohol.

My husband and I tried The Victor the first time this weekend for his birthday dinner. We were immediately impressed by the space. I had requested to be outside, but it was too cold out for us unfortunately, because the patio is beautiful. The main dining room was very cute. The art choices felt thoughtful and intentional. So ambiance got a 5/5. We tried near everything on the menu. For our appetizers the shrimp cocktail had perfectly poached shrimp, the bbq oysters were my happy place, the raw oysters were bright and sweet, the farmers salad was full of delicious components, and the tuna crudo was buttery and generously portioned. Then to our mains we ordered the lobster and the tomahawk. Both were fantastic. The lobster took me a bit of guard because it has a bit of a smokey taste (intentionally) from the grill, so good, just different. The tomahawk was amazing. Every single bite was tender and perfectly cooked. Our only request would be that the tomahawk come sliced. It was a bit of an endeavor at the table. Everything was fantastic and we would order it all again. I had a glass of champagne that was dry and lovely. My husband tried a couple cocktails, all of which he loved. The service was attentive, helpful, and enjoyable. We are so excited to have another great option in the valley.

Our evening started off with a wonderful treat made by Kayleigh at the bar. Yum! Not only were the drinks great, but so was the service. This was then followed up with the brie for an appetizer and a luscious dinner. Vanessa got a wonderfully moist salmon, and I got a very juicy tri-tip with bearnaise sauce! You can never go wrong with bernaise, but unfortunately, I have found it difficult to find. The Victor didn't disappoint. I'm a huge bernaise sauce fan. It was great with the salmon as well as Kaylee's kids chicken (which was a healthy portion) Again, yum! We will be back. Everyone should visit too.

What I had: - Coffee old-fashioned ($15) - House lager ($1) - Estrella Jalisco ($1) - Bloody Mary ($19) - Strawberry aperol spritz ($16) - House cut duck fat fries ($14) - BLT&E ($24) - Spicy chicken sandwich ($26) How it tasted: - Loved the chicken sandwich, fries, and the old-fashioned. The chicken sandwich could've used a tad more seasoning and spice, but it was juicy and plentiful. The fries were also quite delicious, crisped to perfection, and seasoned well. The old-fashioned was one of my favorites to date too and I'd gladly go back for it. Why did I give it a five? - Nice atmosphere, quaint area, and I'm glad it's positioned next to the hotel so you can grab some delicious food the day of your visit and stay if you'd like. Verdict? - Effin' go.

The food was mediocre, at best... The service by Raquel was atrocious!! She didn't tell us or anyone near us @ the specials & she also didn't bring us the olives? Or whatever was offered beforehand. She also tried to rushed us through our meal. It was early, 5:30 & she kept trying to take our plates (that we were still eating & there was still @ 1/2 the meal on). At one point, I assumed we were her last table of the day, but we weren't. She picked up a few more tables while we were there, and there wad only 1 other table when we arrived. Our busboy/runner, Clayton, is the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars. Clayton was prompt with bringing our food, refilling our water, etc. Frankly, I wish he was our waiter, it probably would have been a much better experience. I also requested to sit at the couch/table, but was told that wasn't possible, but she'd move us later, if she could? An hour + later another couple was sat next to us & they said they'd prefer the couch, so they were moved... We were celebrating our anniversary, which I told them @ ahead of time. Bottom line, I was extremely disappointed & will not be returning, nor would I ever recommend the Victor Restaurant to anyone.

What an awesome gem of a place in an area already considered tucked away. The space is gorgeous and intimate. I immediately pegged it as a potential wedding venue, which was confirmed once we saw the coach house and the lawn between the restaurant and the hotel. My gf was eager to show this place off to me, so we started with the deviled eggs, always a crowd favorite, the whipped feta and tahini, and the salmon croquettes. It would've been nice to get maybe 2 more pieces of baguette since the dallop of tahini is sizable. Because we opted for 3 starters, we split the wagyu tri tip frites for our main and opted for the duck fat. I've managed to nail a sous vide tri tip only once at home so my gf was a little reluctant to go for the "throwaway" cut, but since it was wagyu, we were thinking it would be a low risk gamble, which paid off. It was fantastically done and the duck fat fries were the way to go. No need for any other condiments. I really hope this place sticks around. We need to stay here next time.

Came back on a Thursday and enjoyed a great meal! The ambiance is great and food and service were fabulous. I believe our server was named Keoni. He was so kind and attentive! They have $2 oysters on Thursdays. Fabulous!

Came for happy hour and it was great, beautiful restaurant and great bar staff. Decent priced options, overall I'd definitely return when in the area.

What a delightful find for Sunday brunch. This is a really special restaurant in San Ynez that offers breakfast,lunch and dinner. Service was excellent and prompt. The brunch was absolutely delicious! Lots of dishes to choose from. When I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a very fancy restaurant that just gave off a welcoming vibe.

My post will include dinner and breakfast photos. Dinner was amazing !! We had the beef tartar and oysters with cilantro mignotte die for! The cocktails Danae recommended were one of kind , vibrant exciting! We had the corazon which is a smoked margarita with lava salt ! Very vampire feeling ! The manhatta is a chorizo mezcal take on an old fashioned! Perfect mixture. We had the pork chop and sea bass and chocolate pot de creme ! Our waitress Michelle was phenomenal! She was attentive funny and made us feel welcome! We loved it so much we came for breakfast! Michelle greeted us again she made great suggestions and we shared a laugh ! The ambience is great because of the staff ! Order the banana foster for breakfast its the best !!!! Will definitely come back when they change their spring menu

The food was excellent, we order the Cote de Boeuf medium rare, and it was delicious. the ambience was also amazing. The victor is a must if you are in the area. Service was fast and friendly I will definitely come back with some family to have them try the Cote de Boeuf. Delicious.

We came here for a quick little bite to eat on a sunday. They had an amazing scene and the staff was welcoming. The food was delicious. This was the first time I had ceviche and the tanginess and crisp of the chip was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was SO GOOD, the cock tail sauce had a nice smoky sweetness to it. You also can't go wrong with fries, especially fried in duck fat. We finished of with their crème brûlée. So creamy and caramely.

My husband and I came here for Sunday brunch driving down from Norcal on a road trip. The space is really beautiful and charming. Patio is dog friendly. Don't sleep on the bacon! It's memorable. My husband raved about his chilaquiles. I had the ceviche. It had a little kick but it was a little bit too sour for my taste. Not bad though. Service friendly. Would return.

The place was heaven! Everything was just perfection! My friend took me here for my birthday brunch and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The server was so nice and friendly and helpful with suggestions. We interacted with people at another table that had been there before and loved it so we were excited to start ordering. They had flight mimosas. It was so nice of them to accommodate us since we wanted to sit by the fireplace. The food was amazing... Everything just seemed to melt in your mouth. For appetizers we had croquettes, ceviche tostadas, and devilled eggs. My friend had tri- tip and eggs Benedict and I had the burger. This place was chill vibes as well as bougie vibes and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful spot in Santa Ynez tucked away behind lush greenery. We had an early reservation after a day filled with wine and good company. As it was still light out, we went for the patio seating versus inside. Beautiful spot with a roaring fireplace. Staff, hostess all were very sweet and friendly. Menu does offer loads of amazing dishes. I believe it changes seasonal but could be wrong. Drink menu both cocktails and wine were excellent. Good selection to choose from. Started off with a few cocktails which all were excellent. Starters, half dozen of the oysters, salmon croquettes, grilled olive bread, ceviche tostadas and the beef tartare. Everything was flavorful and went perfectly as we were hungry. The ceviche was excellent as well as the tartare. Mains, it was basically almost one of each dish. Both the cedar plank salmon and sea bass in the dashi broth. The victor burger, tri tip and the vegetable pot pie. Everything great, downfall they didn't have the pork chops which would have been nice. Finished off with the crème brûlée. Beautiful location and restaurant. The bar inside was chic. Nice outside patio with the fireplace as well as lounges with a fire pit infront.

This was one of the top ten meals I've had in my life. The Victor has a relaxed vibe with first class service. The interior is simple yet elegant. They have a fantastic patio but, as it was a bit chilly the night we came, we opted to eat inside. I started with a glass of Niner Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles (and had a second later on). A small bowl of assorted olives was placed on our table to enjoy. We started with a plate of grilled olive bread which was presented with brown butter with smoked sea salt. I could have eaten a tall stack of this bread. But then I wouldn't have had room for my main course. My roasted pork chop was so tender and full of flavor. It was topped with a fruit relish (which included peaches) and sat on top of the most amazing polenta on the face of the earth; crisp on the outside and silky soft inside. Green beans were also on the plate, complementing the rest of the meal. I realize that my feeble words could never convey how amazing this plate of food was. Yes, we got dessert, sharing a pavlova. I'd never had this but the description by our waiter convinced us to try it and I am so happy we did. A delicate yet crisp lower crust was topped with a layer of pillowy soft marshmallow and berries. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. This is a place for a nice night out. It wasn't cheap yet I found it to be very reasonable. We decided this was a restaurant we would definitely visit every single time we are anywhere near Santa Ynez.

OMG.. As a resident of this valley, I love taking my Lady here, especially for the gimlet!! and their food is excellent... You can't go wrong on Main Street here people!

Came for brunch on a Sunday with a group of 10 and 2 dogs! Had to sit outside on a windy day but they did have a couple of heaters that helped. The inside looked really cute and also good for groups! For drinks I really liked my coffee old fashioned. I'm not usually a fan of bloody marys but one of my friends got the Verde Bloody Mary and it was great! For food, our whole table enjoyed the duck fat fries. My gf and I split the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and The Victor Burger. Both were good but I would choose the burger between the two. The staff were nice and quick; water service was great and we got our food fast. Overall great brunch spot if you're in the area or on the way to/from Solvang like we were!

Cocktail sauce was bland and you really needed to use all of the raw horseradish they provided The bone -in ribeye was good, cooked perfectly (rare) ; a bit gamey, tasted grass fed It was good but not amazing Glad we opted for asparagus instead- good but the fat kind and I prefer the thin asparagus

This place has a nice vibe and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I had two of the best mocktails I've ever had - blood orange fizz and almalfi spritz. However the food was just ok. I got the veggie pot pie and the vegetables were undercooked/crunchy, plus it just lacked some salt and flavor. They give you olives to start which is awesome, they were also a bit hard. I was excited about the 4 cheese French onion soup but it disappointed. The bowl was tiny and only filled half way so there was barely any soup. The bread cubes soaked up most of the broth and for having 4 cheeses, it really wasn't that cheesy. Not worth $16. So, the drinks were the yes, the food was a meh.

I was staying at the charming hotel next door and was craving creme brûlée. I saw they had it on the menu and ordered it via room service and they brought it over from the restaurant with spoons. It was delicious! I would drive back to this area just to get the creme brûlée again. So good!!!

This place has incredible food! We went back there twice back to back for breakfast because I just couldn't resist. Their potatoes are delicious they have incredible ceviche and mimosas. All around amazing food, the service is great and they have a really nice outdoor area with a fire place and heaters!

Best time spent with my husband. My husband and I had a special experience. We had a steak, complimentary olives, and bread for an appetizer. The steak was very good! It was really lean meat and cooked perfectly. Also, the complimentary olives were very tasty! The bread was super soft too. My husband and I wanted to order a soufflé, but it was unavailable. We were a bit disappointed and ordered a Crème Brûlée instead. It was pretty good. Later, the chef came to us and asked if we could wait while he made a special soufflé for us on the house. My husband and I were very happy, and the soufflé was amazing! The soufflé had a meringue-like texture and was very soft. The service was really nice, and everybody was very friendly. It made our experience even more special. Also, the chef is really passionate about cooking, and he stopped by all the tables to ask the customers how their food was. It was very impressive, and it's clear that the chef loves cooking and creating amazing food. And, this restaurant has beautiful an ambiance!! My husband and I will definitely be back to this restaurant! :)

I was really looking forward to eating here but it was a disappointment. I ordered the sea bass the portion was tiny and 0 flavor. I sent it back and got the burger. The meat was ok but the bun was below average almost stale. My darling wife ordered the pork chop because the picture looked amazing. Honestly it was shoe leather.The wine was good it was from a wine maker named storm . $90.00 . I'm becoming tired of spending good money on below average food. Anyway on to the next.

Omg, what a lovely experience! We went here with a group of six to celebrate our wedding weekend. Service was great, cocktails were delicious, and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back! On Thursdays, they serve bubbles and $2 oysters - grilled or raw. We tried grilled with garlic butter... so good. A very cute restaurant that I will stop by next time we're in the SYV.

Very clean & welcoming ambiance. Great hospitality! Staff was very attentive. Inside seating was adorable but it was a beautiful day so we sat outside on the patio & I loved that they had booths outside as well. Another visit we sat inside & enjoyed the space. Although the menu is more limited, everything was great! I will say the beans that come with the huevos ranchers tasted a bit more like chili but overall the plate was very flavorful. The avocado toast is not your average avocado toast! This avocado is by far the best I have had, especially pairing with the side of steak. I enjoyed a side of bacon & it reminded me of a candy bacon, which is fantastic. My sister enjoyed the chicken sandwich with fries & she LOVED it. If you are looking for a basic breakfast this may not be your space, as each of their dishes had their own unique flavors! ps. if you're looking to try a good sparkling wine, the L&L 2017 blanc is delicious!

Beautiful ambience. Really good food but some little strange things, like a really wonderful whipped feta shareable but not enough bread to go with it. We asked for an extra piece so we would each get a piece , which they brought, but also charged us for it. We had pricey drinks, meals and dessert but they charged for that extra bread. Funny! Also the main entrees were delicious but the sides were more unusual than tasty. The cerviche tostada is a winner as well as the tri tips. Salmon was inconsistent order to order. Specifically a thicker piece was undercooked for my friend where my piece was perfect. But I loved it. So if they could just be a genera with the appetizer bread , that would make it perfect.

Beautiful restaurant with a great patio. Had brunch here one Sunday morning and it was a great choice. Food was delicious, ambiance and lovely decor. Had the lox and my bf had the Tri-tip eggs Benedict. Both were good. His first time having lox and he loved. Bloody Mary was good but prefer the red. Bacon was on point!! Will return.

The atmosphere was lovely and the waitstaff was incredible!! I personally wasn't the biggest fan of my burger but 4 other girls got it and said they really loved it. The bri cheese apt was incredible

What a cool spot. Contemporary, beautiful and features a number of seating areas; you get the sense you can dine here and have a different experience with each meal because the seating locations all have their own vibe. Did I mention this place was cool? Way. We had a great move and were so surprised to find such a lovely, vibey spot in Santa Ynez. Highly recommend dining here. We had a great meal!

Staying at Hotel Genevieve and ordered takeout. Astonished as the presentation. Not only was it beautiful, my salmon was hot. I know things can kinda get jumbled in a takeout box but this wasn't the case. I also got the farm salad (chefs choice). Beautifully balanced and delicious. Salmon was a perfect medium. My friend for the Sea Bass and said the same. She also the the bread app and the brown butter is sooooo good. Hope to experience one day in person but for now 10/10 for to go. Thank you!

This was our first time visiting The Victor, but it won't be our last! This was a beautiful place and the outdoor seating area was just perfect! The service was super good and the menu wasn't huge but it all sounded good. We started with the ceviche which was amazing!!! My husband got the pork chop which he said was tender and juicy! I got the fish which was probably one of the best I ever had and we live by the ocean! We ended with the pavlova and it was delicious! We will be back for sure!

This place is top-notch! We had a the best corazon on our smoked margarita's. Everything was paired so well. We loved the excellent recommendations from our server Danae. The Manager was a little off. She was extremely rude to her wait staff. She made Danae charge us for extra bread?? However, Danae made us feel welcome. The ceviche was also a big hit!! Danae is hardworking waiter. We can only hope that she's recognized more in her position. Like I said the Manager is fairly rude. Treat your employees nice! Every place we encounter mean managers we will write about it!! We're here to support the little guys! Thank you Danae for being a real human who cares! Don't loose your charm!

My current favorite restaurant! Literally the best bacon I've ever had and the ceviche tostadas were OUT of this World!! I will go back to Santa Ynez just to eat here. Oh almost forgot about the duck fat fries.... mouthwatering!

What a beautiful dinner. We were given champagne when we sat down, I happen to not drink, so our waitress asked if there was a mocktail I'd like. I got the espresso-nontini WOW absolutely delicious! I've never been able to enjoy an espresso martini so to have a non alcoholic option on the menu was a great surprise. We ordered the tri tip frites and the burger. Both were SOO GOOD When we got the check, my drink was not on there - I assume to make up for me not being able to enjoy the complimentary champagne. What a nice gesture! Service was spectacular. Stunning decor and ambiance. Would definitely return here again.

Came here to celebrate my birthday. I had the ribeye with the duck fat fries. 10/10 Raw and bbqed oysters 10/10 Artichoke dip was 10/10 Hard boiled eggs 10/10 Our server Michelle awesome also 10/10 will be back. Thank you for dinner and the great service.

We went to the Victor on a Thursday evening and were pleasantly notified by our waiter that Thursday nights were two dollar oyster and ten dollar frizzante night; how fortunate for us! We proceeded to order a dozen oysters, which came with a deliciously tart champagne mignonette. We also ordered the refreshing Frizzante, Bison, Venuto, which was sweet and bubbly and paired very well with the oysters. Next, we ordered the yellow tail crudo, (which we loved), the grilled oysters, which were delicious and swimming in a pool of golden garlic butter, and finally the hand cut duck fat fries (heavenly) which were accompanied with an amazing chimichurri aioli. A fabulously cheesy ciabatta came with dinner. We enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor patio and the service and food was all on point.

A cold fall evening warmed by heat lamps... a dark night lit by woven light pendants... laid-back indie music in a garden patio... A hip server who seemed more like a friend... Delicious food, zero-proof drinks, and an exquisite dessert... "The Victor" created the perfect dining experience for a romantic evening in the Santa Ynez valley. We had the Farmer Salad ($15), Cauliflower Soup ($16), Roasted Pork Chop ($38), and Sea Bass ($42). We paired our food with Zero Proof cocktails and a local, NA beer. For dessert we indulged in the Pavlova ($14): a baked meringue that is crispy on the outside, soft and creamy in the middle, and topped with fruit. Everything about our evening was perfect, and we thank the Victor for such a lovely evening.

This restaurant is soo good. The atmosphere is amazing, staff is friendly and food is so delicious. I came with a group and we ordered tacos, burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, oysters, cookie skillet and peach cobbler cheesecake. Everything was perfect. I will definitely be back.

My wife and I are staying right next to this restaurant so we decided to try it out. We started with the oysters and they were good. We split a Caesar salad or started to. Took one bite and and unfortunately it was not good. The lettuce was wet so not much flavor and they drizzled it with some sort of hot sauce. I had the salmon for my entree. The salmon was cooked well and nicely flavored but my side was some sort of sautéed cabbage and was just too lemony. My wife had the steak and it was good however the fries that accompanied them were strangely starchy and not very good. So mains were good but the sides and salad were all not good and unfortunately we love a good caesar salad and how do you mess up French fries? It was a bummer. The service was okay. The bartender was our server. She was super nice but maybe forgot about us a little as she was probably busy behind the bar. I would give this place another try. Maybe it was just a off night.

Really nice vibe here both inside and out. Ate dinner inside as it was a chilly evening -- but that didn't stop the large crowd that was on their lovely patio under heat lamps. Their bar area has great lighting and even a few tables so you can eat dinner there as well. As for the food we started with the tomato soup which was good but came in a very shallow, thin bowl so the portion size was a bit deceptive. Beet salad with Frisee Greens was very good -- perhaps a bit overdressed. My pork chop entree ($38.00) was tender but the "smashed potato" that came with it was a miss. More like a greasy hash brown and not much potato after it had been smashed beyond recognition. Next time I'll see if I can substitute fries or even a baked potato. I would come back again for a special occasion as it's a bit pricey for an everyday sort of meal but most nice restaurants in the Santa Ynez valley are also on the high side. Inflation?

Had an excellent brunch here. The interior is gorgeous and service was fantastic. I got a mimosa flight that came with three glasses of champagne with OJ on the side. The deviled eggs were phenomenal and a must order. The lox plate was perfect and my fiancé enjoyed the tri tip Benedict. Service was attentive and they let us use their wifi because cell service is notoriously bad in this area. We didn't find time to come back for the verde Bloody Mary as was recommended by a waitress at another restaurant but we'll be back next time for it

One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Ynez/Central CA. The food is amazing. I have tried most of their dishes and each one is better than the other. Tonight we ordered Ceviche Taco as an appetizer the fish was so fresh and very flavorful. Highly recommend this. We had Seared Scallops with butternut squash and Santa Maria Tri Tip Frities as entrees both exceptional and finished our meal with Chocolate Pot De Crème with fresh berries, whipped crème fraîche that was so luscious and creamy. Servers/customer service is excellent and ambiance is lovely. We sat on the patio and there were plenty of heaters outside to keep us warm. Our compliments to the Chef. Bravo!

Loved this spot! We were staying at the Genevieve and walked over for dinner. We had reservations and were sat right away. We ate outside, which I'm so glad we did because they had live music. The musician was great and really complimented the atmosphere. Grilled oysters were amazinggggg. The garlicky butter was perfection*chefs kiss. My filet was so juicy and tender. Hubby's steak frites was yummy too. We enjoyed our cocktail we ordered too. It had a cbd gummy which was a nice touch. Will definitely come back next time we visit! Inside looked so cute too!

It's not often I give a full 5 star review, but this place deserves it. The Victor Restaurant and Bar ended up being a last minute choice. We looked for brunch spots from Santa Barbara to Pismo Beach and couldn't find anything that enticed us. We showed up to plenty of street parking. We walked through the garden-like entrance to the main entrance. The place was beautiful! There were tables both inside and outside. We were greeted immediately by the attentive staff. We found ourselves sitting outside in amazing weather with a condensed menu that looked too good to be true. I can't speak for the other items or the dinner menu so this review is based on what we ordered. Immediately, the ceviche tostada, tri tip Benedict, and the Bruleed Brie caught our eye. The ceviche tostada was fresh, vibrant, and had the perfect blend of flavors. It was made with citrus-brined local fish with shrimp, mango, pickled peppers, ginger, and an avocado spread. The tri tip Benedict had some perfectly poached egg with thinly sliced, smoked protein and a home made English muffin sitting below all that goodness. The Brûléed Brie was unique on its own. It was almost like a charcuterie board turned into a shareable appetizer. It had local honey on top of Brie cheese, charred fruit, caperberry, marcona almonds, and olive bread. Marcona almonds are popular in Spain and Mediterranean regions so that was our first time having it. The honey on top of the Brie was blowtorched and made into a crispy, sweet glaze, just like a traditional Crème Brûlée. It was simply a genius idea! Overall, the food came out to about $71 after taxes. We left with a full stomach and a full wallet full of cash. This is cheaper than getting brunch in LA or Pasadena and it tastes so much more unique.

Highly recommend the ceviche tostada (I'm still dreaming about it) and the "cardboard box" cocktail. I was greeted and given an excellent little bar snack upon sitting down at the bar. Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces...Indoor has a calm ambiance, decor & lighting and the outdoor seating is comfortable and has plenty of shade. One weird thing: I sat at the bar and unfortunately the manager(?) decided at some point to sit down at the bar with her laptop to do her work/pick at the bartender while I was there. Not a good vibe!

We loved the breakfast here. It was quiet at 10am so we had our pick of seating. We sat on the back patio under a heat lamp (cool May). The food and drinks were gourmet, with original, fresh and delicious ingredients. The tomatillo Bloody Mary was very spicy but very good. The kids' French toast was fluffy and perfectly portioned. The Bananas Foster French Toast was out of this world and if I didn't order such a sweet meal, I would have ordered one of the many sweet pastries to start. My date had Huevos Rancheros that were different than any we've had before. Again a delicious, fresh and original take with great flavor. I want the bean recipe that paired with this. We will definitely come back. For brunch and maybe even for a swanky cocktail on date night..
