We had a wonderful experience at the Victoria! It was a very charming place, and they upgraded us to a room with a wonderful bed, so we had very comfortable sleep, which can sometimes be hard to come by even a nice hotels. Maura was a wonderful resource for us. She arranged a beautiful hike for us, as well as securing us tickets to the Celtic steps show with transport there and back so we really didn’t have to think about anything and we got to take a break from driving for a day. The restaurant, the Ivy, was wonderful. We had delicious meals both nights. The breakfast was also very high-quality, I loved the eggs, Benedict and particular and the homemade pastries. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. It added a lot to our Ireland trip.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever visited. We stayed in the Luxury Alder and I would highly suggest upgrading to this room if you can. I cannot speak to the other rooms, but this one is absolutely beautiful. The room is large, the bed is comfy and the bathroom is absolutely amazing with a rainfall shower and heated towel rack. Breakfast was incredible. Unlike many hotels offering a self serve buffet, you get a variety of options to order and are made fresh. I tried a different item every day and they were all delicious. They even catered very well to gluten free needs. We ended up also eating at the restaurant for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredible, especially the staff at the front desk and at breakfast. They were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is not in town, which can be a downside for some, but we prefer being away from the bustle, so it was perfect for us, plus it was right on the Ring of Kerry and next to the Killarney National Park so we loved it. If we ever make it back to Ireland, we will definitely be booking a stay here again!

I stayed here for three nights on my recent trip to Ireland. All I can say is: WOW. I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Was it a bit expensive? A bit. But so so worth every penny. My room was absolutely spotless and cozy and so so comfortable. I slept really well on the bed. Breakfast was delicious- a couple occasions I had lunch and dinner at the hotel too, which was equally yummy. The hotel is a 30 minute walk into the main part of town, but it’s a very pleasant walk I think. Lots of great shops and places to eat. Lots of amazing things to do outside of town too, yet still close within driving distance. The staff at this hotel was incredible- everyone I spoke to was nice and friendly. If I ever come back to Ireland, I am absolutely going to stay here again.

Great hotel and staff. |Bit of a walk into the centre of the town - about half an hour. |Really comfy room 215. Very quiet. Great linens and lots of space. |Breakfast was excellent but they need to sort out timings - we booked for 8.30 and still had to “wait for a table to be cleared” for almost 10 minutes. It looked like there were tables free so I’m not sure what was going on. |Otherwise a great place to stay. Thank you.

From easy parking to such a genuine warm welcome our overnight stay was just perfect. |All the staff so accommodating without being overbearing. |Dinner was just incredible and huge shout out to Annette for the most fabulous soda bread but the way the lamb was cooked - perfection and the seasoning on the chips left us coming back for more. |Beds comfy and cosy. Bathroom gleaming. |Easy check out before dashing back to the airport. |Highly recommend. All the staff a credit to this wonderful place I will be returning to.

A very comfortable and friendly hotel. Professional and attentive dining service.|We stayed an extra night, 4 in total as there is so much to see in the area. Parking was easy and a lift to our floor was good for luggage. It is a well run hotel and I would recommend to friends.

Wow... Maura is the best "receptionist" ever... even thought she is like 4 jobs rolled into one and all of them perfectly executed. She was who 'received' us at check-in. But she did so much more than just check us into the beautiful hotel. She cared for are plans, meals, concerns, ideas for events, ticket availability, follow-up on thoughts and conversations... she was a wonderful agent of the Hotel. Of course, all the staff in the restaurant, hostess, bar, and breakfast were equally attentive and friendly. As for the room... we had sound, peaceful and comfortable sleep in luxurious bedding. We found provided amenities timely for use during are long travels around Ireland. Also, we ate both are dinners in Killarney in the hotel restaurant following our relaxation and drinks in the hotel bar. The parking was adequate and easily navigated. We also prefer hotels with central stairs that are easy to navigate versus always having to take elevators. The hotel was thoughtfully designed and remodeled. I would consider a return trip to the area of Ireland and base all my travel from The Victoria Hotel in Killarney.

Absolutely charming in every way! They accommodated early check-in for all three rooms we had reserved and every detail of our accommodations was perfect! The staff was some of the most helpful and gracious of any hotel we stayed at throughout Ireland.

Yelp
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The customer service is above and beyond. The rooms are gorgeous! The food is also great. Would come back to Killarney just for this hotel!

Yelp
Our hotel reservation for our two nights in Killarney was at Victoria House. This was a boutique hotel and big enough to not be a B&B. Check in was just a desk by the front door and it was quick and friendly. Someone helped my parents with their bags as their is no lift and their room was up 2 flights of stairs. To the right was a bar area and it also had a patio attached. Right beside reception was the restaurant area where they had a dinner menu every night and breakfast in the mornings. My room was on the ground floor and while the view wasn't much, the room was super cute. First, it had two single beds that were close but not quite together. They were comfortable though so it was all good. The room was decorated in purple and silver in a Victorian style. I loved the color combinations. Beside the closet nook I had a silver dressing table with a big purple cushion. It felt very fancy. It was hard to find plugs but I managed to get the coffee going in the AM. My parents room was bigger and also Victorian in nature but it had a sitting room and what appeared to be an American plug as well. Oh and wifi in rooms. The location is a bit away from the middle of Killarney, so we usually took a cab but if you hadn't already been walking around all day you could totally walk it and many people did. Breakfast had the juices, pastries, cereals, etc. sitting out and then you ordered from a menu if you wanted hot food. You could get the full fry up or just scrambled eggs or even kippers. I got the kippers just to freak my mom out and let my dad taste it. Hehe. After my initial apprehension, I thought it was a really nice and unique hotel. If you don't mind being out of the city center then give this place a try.

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Very nice and quiet. No air conditioning in room and as it was unusually warm, we asked for a fan, which someone promptly brought to our room. Room was spacious. Lighting in bathroom was pretty dim. Typical continental breakfast in nice setting.
