Atlanta Coffee Shops: Bellwood Coffee Opens Inside the Victorian Plant Shop in East Atlanta Village | Eater Atlanta

"Housed in a century-old home and signed “Plants + Coffee,” this plant shop takes up most of the Glenwood Avenue space and includes a separate cactus room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Designer Alison Michaels-Fandel kept walls white and used wood and other natural, textural elements to highlight the lush plant colors; large windows and skylights flood the interior with light and create an environment meant to entice customers to linger while they shop and enjoy coffee from the in-house bar. Seating is varied and inviting: an eight-seat counter, scattered seats throughout the shop, a covered porch, and a communal wooden table with benches on a pebble-stone patio out front, making the space both a retail nursery and a relaxed social spot." - Beth McKibben

I popped into the adorable little plant shop for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the warm decor and delicious coffee. They had a nice selection of plants, beautiful pots, and a knowledgeable staff on hand to make your experience, fun and educational. The bathrooms were also nice and tidy, which is always a plus! I paid over $200 American dollars for a struggling cactus But what the heck you only live once right?

Such a cute Lil shop. The employees were kind & showed me plants & also potted the new Monstera I purchased while we waited for our Coffee & Matcha. Which are both delicious. Really loved our first time here.

Absolute favorite plant shop in Atlanta. Both locations are awesome. Very peaceful and relaxing soon as you walk in. Recently made several purchases online. Was happy with how quickly and nicely put together my orders were, and ready to be picked up. Have bought plants from here over the years that are thriving, just tried the soil mixes they have and can already tell a difference. Won’t be switching back to anything else.

Came from out of town and I don’t want to leave!! I got the Ezra and my friend got the gold rush. We can’t pick which one we love more! The best plant selection is top tier and so healthy. Also- side note- the bear claw was AMAZING!

Happy plants, chill vibes, and helpful people. I would definitely be coming here everyday to work if I lived closer.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! My peace lily was looking really sick, and I didn’t know how to help it. I took it to two different nurseries, but both places turned me away because I hadn’t bought the plant from them. Feeling discouraged, I called this shop — and from the moment I spoke with them, they were kind and welcoming. They told me to bring my plant in, no questions asked. When I arrived, they treated me with so much care and helped bring my beautiful peace lily back to life! They didn’t care where I bought it — they just genuinely wanted to help. On top of that, I discovered they have a cozy little coffee shop inside, too! This is now my new favorite spot. Thank you for your kindness and for going above and beyond!

I purchased the most beautiful plants from here 2 years ago... named one after both my great grandmother and the beautiful young lady who helped me, Katherine... n boy, does it have a big personality just like my great grandmother lol... The store is so cute and quaint. I had coffee and got 2 plants from the "last chance" section, and they are gorgeous.... here are a few shots before and after....

Pros: -everything. I have not a single bad thing to say about this place -bathroom is non-gendered and super nice and cozy?? I love a cozy bathroom -weird thing, but I accidentally mindlessly walked up to one of the staff members here (I was on my phone and wasn’t paying attention) while he was watering plants and he was so chill about me just walking right up to him and just standing there less than a foot away from his face. He had every right to be like, “um leave me alone.” But was so nice. I wish him an eternity of good fortune. if you’re coming here for plants: -they sell soil for tropical and for succulent plants. -plants seem reasonable to me and I thought it’d be so much considering the location and the aesthetic of the place -they also sell little plant accessories! Such as tools like a hydration meter, soaps, decor, pots, clay pots made my local artists, shirts, etc. if you don’t want plants, they have many other things to look at -they also have a little potting station 🥹 If you’re coming here for coffee: -try their specialty menu. I recommend their chocolate orange latte iced -everyone here is so nice and chill -bar seating for people who just wanna hang out / plus outdoor seating -coffee is actually amazing -they also sell coffee accessories (French press/tumblrs, cups, etc.)
