THE VIEW Lugano, an SLH Hotel

The View is aptly named. Probably the most stunning view I've ever had at a hotel. The room was very spacious and impecable, just as appears on the website. The hotel breakfast was wonderful, and I've had a lot of them. Be aware, this hotel is about a 35 minute walk from the center of Lugano, which some fail to mention. There's a city bus you can catch that cuts it down to 15 minutes. However, the hotel is situated up a very steep hill, which you have to climb to get to the bus stop. This was ok as we are young and fit, but would be a problem for small children or older adults. Even for us, the climb each day was exhausting and I chose to limit how many times I went back and forth to the hotel because of this. It was also June and close to 90 degrees, so that didn't help. We did not try out the bikes, as I'm not adept enough of a rider to deal with the steep hills so that is something to be aware of too if you're thinking you want to use the available ebikes. All in all, the price was exorbitant, and although the stay was excellent, I probably would not choose this property again due to the climb to get back and forth. Finally, the spa facilities and indoor pool were nice. I think having an outdoor pool would have been even better though.

The view We spent our Easter holidays in The View. The hotel is very modern, with great facilities. Reception and breakfast staff is very supportive and great. Following an alarm incident that unfortunately happened late at night, they gave us a free aperetif which was a very nice gesture. The room was exactly as described in the booking details, with great views to the lake and very cozy. They also offer free Smart electric car rentals which were great to travel around Paradiso and neighbouring cities. Nevertheless, although our stay was great, I think the following points should be addressed to continue improving guest experience: 1. Their "breakfast included" option feels deceptive: breakfast is small and anything beyond fried/scrambled eggs in its a la carte service (i.e. eggs benedict) is separately charged (25-30€ per dish). This is surprising to see in a 5* hotel. I think the breakfast conditions should've been clearer 2. Their massage services fill up very quickly. During our whole weekend we were only able to book on our last night. However, even though we mentioned we both wanted massages, they only took one booking and didn't give us a solution for it. Good hotel overall but some thing could be improved

Had such a wonderful stay at The View Lugano! Just like it's name, this lux hotel includes fantastic views of Lake Lugano and the town below. Rooms are uniquely designed and spacious. Size of hotel, location and very attentive staff made for a relaxing stay. Highlights include the amazing breakfast buffet and gorgeous pool area. We did not make use of the complimentary electric car but thought that was a terrific bonus considering the property is elevated (like a lot of the area). We definitely plan on returning to the area and look forward to visiting again.

We would like to say a special thank you to Marina, Gock(?) Davide and Christyna at the front desk. They were very, very helpful arranging or helping us with travel arrangements. The spa was very, very good and all of the facilities at the luxury hotel were extremely good.|We were fortunate enough to get upgraded, and the view from our balcony across the lake was spectacular. The mountains, the scenery. Everything was very, very beautiful except for the rain.

Great hotel. We spent 5 amazing days here and the staff has been nothing short of amazing. Special thank you to Luiza for making our 3 year old feel welcome. The room was clean and with amazing view. The smart cars were a great addition. We used them every day. We look forward to being back! PS. There’s a great park 2 minutes down the hill for walking with amazing views. It’s also great if you have kids - our son loved playing there.

Great location and service. The rooms are very high tech and modern, which can be an issue since everything is controlled from a tablet that loses connection from time to time. Service is great and views are amazing. Hence the name 😅. Spa and pool are great as well.

Our first time visiting Switzerland and we stayed at The View. What a stunning hotel! At check-in, we were quickly greeted by a gentleman named Martin. He provided us a tour of our chosen room and a potential upgrade. Additionally, he guided us around the dining room, amenities, and provided us information on the onsite electric car rentals (FREE). He was so kind and went above and beyond our entire stay. The rooms: Both rooms shown were absolutely immaculate. The finishes were top grade and the cleanliness was the best of any hotel I’ve stayed at. The amenities: We visited the pool and spa. They have an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, salt room, and more. All were cleanly and well attended to. The customer service: Going back home will be such a disappointment compared to the service we received by this hotel! Martin and Marco were the best representatives for this hotel. From their professional to their kind suggestions, we enjoyed our stay twice as much because of them. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Absolutely stunning for its location — the views over Lugano are unreal. Breakfast is top-tier, and the added touch of free Teslas, smart cars, and bikes makes exploring feel like a treat. Chic, modern, and effortlessly luxurious.
