Came here for lunch and everything was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside. Staff was super friendly. Food was amazing. The prime rib sandwich was one of the better ones that I’ve ever had. Did a great wine tasting afterwards in the tasting room. Highly recommend!

Lovely brunch spot! We had reservation and were seated outside with a gorgeous view. Classic brunch food that hits the spot and good drinks as well. Highly recommend the Bloody Maria if you want something other than wine. It's a good Bloody Mary, but with tequila and a kick from the spiced rim! The French Dip was a winner too. The au jus was super flavorful and perfect portion. The other breakfast dishes were good too and prepared well. Overall, solid brunch spot that I would visit again!

Not exactly intimate, a huge barn like building but with beautiful wood. Full menu, delicious steak. VERY attentive service from Mark, and very considerate on sharing meals since portions are large for seniors. Quick to refill water and my Arnold Palmer! A bit pricey. Nice to find Halloumi cheese, but when tried or wasn't really hot. Great bread and oil/balsamic.

During our three nights stay at South Coast winery resort and spa, we ate at the Vineyard Rose restaurant on two occasions. First, we enjoyed breakfast there on a Friday morning. We were quickly sat, as there was no wait and few other guests at that time. We both ordered the same thing - caramel cold brew and Florentine omelet with avocado. Everything was amazing and the service was spectacular. The second time we ate at the Vineyard Rose restaurant was for dinner on a Saturday night. This time around, 98° was performing in the courtyard event area so there was a bit of a crowd and we had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. We grabbed a drink from the bar while we waited for our table for dinner. For dinner we each ordered a blue cheese wedge salad. We were also served deliciously warm bread before our salads arrived. For our entrées I went with the linguine pasta that had grilled chicken in it and plenty of fresh veggies. My friend ordered the filet mignon for herself. Both entrées were delicious. I also ordered a specialty gimlet and she ordered a couple glasses of wine. We were really impressed with how amazing everything tasted and look forward to returning again soon.

Had lunch and purposely arrived after 1:00 pm to avoid any crowds. Food menu is limited but we had the tri tip sandwich $18 and the Mediterranean chicken $28. Both were very tasty and the serving size was large enough to feel full. For drinks hubby had house merlot $12 and I had a delicious draft mango hefenweizen $8. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, the waitress service was extremely slow... especially in bringing our first drinks. So for that I knocked off a star. we sat outside and ambience is very nice. We will go back.

The villas are great. Loved the fireplace and the jacuzzi. It made for a perfect way to unwind after a busy week. The sense of serenity is what I needed.

Great experience tasting wine and understanding where it came from. Soon as I walked in I was welcomed by ine of the pourer. I got 5 tastings for $20 dollars. After the whole process tasting the wines, able to buy 3 bottles that I really enjoyed.

Yelp
Sorry!! This review has been sitting in DRAFT since February! Just saw that right now! So although it is outdated, I still feel it's necessary to recognize this establishment and wonderful staff! Where do I begin?! On Wednesday February 21st, my husband and I had the absolute most enjoyable and fantastic time dining here! We checked into our lovely casita with vineyard view for my birthday and mini staycation, then headed over to the bar for a quick intermezzo and cocktails. We were promptly greeted and seated. Matthew, who was tending bar, treated us like VIP's. Really attentive and personable. He was so knowledgeable and made some outstanding suggestions for dinner, as we had 7:00 dinner reservations. Made us feel like we were regulars, when in fact, this was our first time visiting, even though we pass this establishment numerous times a week as we live 5 minutes away! Our first experience was the hummus plate. WOW! What a delightful mix of fresh veggies, pita and yummy hummus. It was a visual masterpiece. My husband enjoyed his generous pour of tequila neatly and I savored my gin martini extra dirty. Matthew did not skimp at all! Really refreshing since most places are not very generous with their portions. We enjoyed chatting with our new friend and felt so comfortable and welcomed. Dinner was phenomenal. My husband ordered the lamb shank, which was a much appreciated suggestion by Matthew during intermezzo. I had the Ribeye Asado. Medium rare. OMG!! You could cut this meat with a spoon...that is how tender it was! The flavors were unbelievable. A mix of chimichurri, roasted Japanese chili peppers, avocado and puréed black beans. The portion was incredibly satisfying...I even took about half of the meat back to my room to eat for a midnight snack! We ordered the Mediterranean salad, which at the suggestion of our amazing waiter, was split between the two of us. I will definitely come back and I do appreciate how hospitable and attentive the staff at South Coast are! Awesome experience!

Yelp
Such delicious pasta and wine! The views of this place were incredible and so serene! The wine selection impeccable and oh so refreshing! Our server was amazing! Made great recommendations for our lunch paring and it was totally worth it! This vineyard is HUGE! So much to see and so much to do!

Yelp
The Vineyard Rose is part of a wonderful resort hotel to which we have yet to stay, but we sure want to. The restaurant is so great. This time we had both breakfast and dinner there. The place is as clean and wonderful as it was the last time we were there. it is just lovely and there is dinning inside or outside, both are great. The service is now perfect. They get to you right away and check on you. Your food is delivered pretty fast and it is just great. This time we had for breakfast, the steak and eggs which has this wonderful mushroom seasoning, a tasty flat iron steak with fried eggs and wonderful roasted tomatoes and great potatoes. We loved every bite. We also had, smoked salmon toast which has avocado, cucumber a lemon dill yogurt a bite of caviar and sourdough bread. I don't know if they make it there, but it is great. I could just eat toast and more toast and be happy. It also has a side salad which is crisp and ever so fresh. We returned for dinner a couple of nights later and were just wowed by the selection and the food. We started with Caesar salad and a great Mediterranean salad, which had mixed romaine, the best tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, some great feta cheese along with a tasty lemon-oregano dressing. It was all so fresh and crispy. We tried the salmon, with wild mushroom congee, legumes and shaved carrots. It was cooked to perfection and some of the best salmon we have had in Temecula. It was just perfect. The filet we order was cooked rare, exactly as ordered and so tender. It had a mushroom seasoning, the best smoked mashed potatoes, perfect asparagus all in a wonderful deep wine sauce. It was magical. We also had some shrimp because we are spoiled and were in heaven. The crème brulee was very good, not the best I have ever had, but super good. Try their caramel-pecan brownie. it is the best with graham whipped mallow brulée, a tasty chili ash salt with goji berry. That is something you can't really get that good elsewhere. We did not have wine, but we had some great coffee. I forgot my phone, in the car, so borrowed two photos. We had the best time and so will you.

Yelp
$$$ Enjoyed a nice lunch with a group of friends. There were plenty of private events happening as well. Nice place to celebrate. Located within a vineyard and spa, multiple buildings where people can spend the whole relaxing day at The presentation was exquisite and the service was very attentive. Our water glasses was always full and they checked in if we wanted more wine. We ordered the veggie board - the hummus was icy and my husband didn't like that. I ordered the bacon burger with fries which was delicious. My husband got the cubano panini with fries and it was okay. The melted cheese was good; it has prosciutto but was not flavorful

Suveen S.

Yelp
The food here was amazingly delicious. Definitely recommended trying it out. Ambiance is romantic. Perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary with your significant others. I would take one star off for service due to the fact that dinner bread was not offered to us. When I inquired about it the waitress rudely stated that it's only available upon request. Well it's her job to ask us in the first place if we would like some bread. How are we supposed to know that it's not already on the way as most restaurants do. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience were the best. Kids enjoyed the meal, and dessert was AMAZING, staff very attentive.

Yelp
We came here for lunch and had an amazing meal. We had a lot of time to kill and spent a good two hours starting with the charcuterie with a couple glasses of wine, moving to two entrees, and two deserts with some coffees. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service is OK... it was a busy day at the winery... there was a banquet going on, a car club visited, and a couple bus tours. Our server either forgot items (which we cancelled) or there were items we had to remind our server of. We're kind of laid back people, no harm, no foul, but I can see why other reviewers bring this up. Five stars for the great food. Each course was absolutely delicious. At a minimum, I recommend their charcuterie board and some glasses of wine. If the weather permits, a seat overlooking their courtyard is very nice in Spring.

Kristi W.

Yelp
This is an elegant place located in the South Coast Winery. Reservations are highly recommended. I was here late November, so it wasn't that crowded and the restaurant was mostly empty. We split a Caesar salad and ordered the Scottish Salmon with a suggested glass of syrah wine. We had eaten fairly late in the day so our appetites were not that hardy. The salmon melted in my mouth and the couscous that accompanied it was really good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the winery and things to see around town. The place was very quiet and I would even say romantic. The ambience was warm and filled with holiday cheer. This is a good place to come for dinner.

Zoe C.

Yelp
We made reservations for Thanksgiving. Reservation required. We were glad we did. The whole family enjoyed ourselves. When you walk in the size and beauty of this restaurant gives you the feeling of joy that we made the right decision to be here. The food was delicious. From the Appetizers, Salads, Salmon, Halibut, Porkchop, Tomahawk,. The menu was limited to the best choice of food. Our waitress was Kristin she was nice and appeared to be busy as I'm sure due to the Holiday staff was limited. Overall we had a fantastic time worth the visit.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Beautiful place. Friendly service. Dinner and apps were delicious. Dessert was okay. Brownies were a little dry even though they looked beautiful.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
We stayed at the south coast winery resort next door and came here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! Really enjoyed the seafood linguine and the ceviche. Both dishes were full of flavor and quality. The service was a bit slow at times, but not bad. Also recommend outdoor seating if you can, the view is great!

Toby R.

Yelp
One of our favorite dining experiences while visiting Temecula. Our food was delicious, service excellent and the beautiful setting and outdoor dining added to the meal. Would definitely return.

Sydney T.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and atmosphere my husband and his friend who was visiting from Washington DC. Carlos Avealo was outstanding in making sure they had a great dinner, 5 star service throughout the evening. The steaks were cooked to perfection along with the server giving professional grand service. Carlos was very kind and always with a welcoming friendly smile. I definitely recommend The Vineyard Rose restaurant if you're wanting to experience a genuinely wonderful experience and delicious food. Carlos Avealo you are a true Rockstar

Kevycb H.

Yelp
The main meals were an absolute trash. We had to return the dish because the chicken tasted like it's been out for a month. And we also ordered the "limited editions" of the "ribeye asada", I have never had a chewy steak in my life, I could eat (2) pieces in total. Never again!

Mike T.

Yelp
This was our third visit. South Coast Winery Resort is a beautiful property, but the Vineyard Rose Restaurant located there (although also very beautiful) was disappointing. The food is expensive and is just so so. I had the seafood pasta, very little sea food and sauce was disappointing. It looked and tasted like it came out of a can. My wife had the chicken breast, it was dry and tough, very plain, $39. Maybe you will have a different experience. On a prior visit I had the pork chop, which was very good, $55. I gave it three stars because it is a beautiful restaurant, and the service was very good. Although, I tried to make reservations for 6:00 or 6:30, but nothing was available, so we went at 5:30, the place was empty then and when we left an hour later, I think only 8 tables were occupied. ???

Lala F.

Yelp
Def recommend!! Great service abs beautiful winery. Always stop by here after or before the spa.

Candie S.

Yelp
We dined in for dinner and overall I give this place 4 stars. The food was OK, the service was very attentive without being overbearing and the ambiance was romantic. We started with the charcuterie board, which I can say was not great. The cheeses were bland and there were only two types of meat. One may have been prosciutto and the other a spicy salami. It came with three types of cheese. One was purple, one was blue-ish (but not blue cheese) and one was white. I would've liked someone to describe the selection to us, but it was just dropped off and we were left guessing. We ordered the beet carpaccio and octopus ceviche as starters and the rotisserie chicken and chicken breast as mains. Everything was OK. The chickens were both cooked well but the sauces were just too much (in quantity) and not much in flavor. Overall we had a decent experience but I think I expected a little more in flavor and experience for the price that we paid.

Ed K.

Yelp
I ordered the roadhouse kobe burger. It was really great. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of blue cheese they put in the sandwich, which was quite overwhelming. I would have preferred a foam gun blue cheese. Overall, I enjoyed it after the copious amounts of wine I had during mine wine tasting.

Tasha V.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing!!! We even came back for breakfast this morning cause dinner blew our minds. I will admit the restaurant decor is slightly outdated but the food was great.

Matt C.

Yelp
Stopped by the vineyard rose had a great Manhattan from friendly bar tenders Joshua and Matt. They have a great cocktail list! Then shared a flatbread with my wife, they recommended to add prosciutto to our Margherita Flatbread. Definitely recommend many people hanging out having fun.

Zia B.

Yelp
We had breakfast here After our hot air balloon ride. It was perfect. The service was great. The place was pretty empty though. We got bloody Mary's. Divine. I got the southwest scramble which was really good and my boyfriend got the chilaquilas which were so so good. I wish I got it. Very generous servings. Would definitely come back here for a classy breakfast. Our bill ran $80 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. So it's pricey. But really tasty.

Maria C.

Yelp
Sunday brunch for $55pp! We were a group of 5 mamas and we spent the day at South Coast. We had brunch reservations at 130p on the patio. Highly recommend sitting outdoors, esp is it's pretty outside. Get a table by the rail so that you're able to take nice photos of the background. We were quickly led to our table. It was nice because brunch at that time wasn't busy and no lines. I spoke to one of the employees and they said once they open they were super busy. There was a nice variety of hot foods (sweet and savory), pasta bar, omelet bar, carving station with prime rib, charcuterie meats and cheeses, and fresh seafood (crab leg claws, shrimp, salmon, oyster, and clams). The offerings are limited but out party enjoyed it. Our server was great and was around to refill our waters and clear our plates. The dessert bar was sparse and since it was almost closing time (last call around 3/330), they didn't refill the desserts so I missed out on tasting a few. Great option esp during wine tasting. You get to fill up on food and then drink! The restaurant interior is beautiful and didn't feel stuffy. Grounds are beautiful and the sparking wines are amazing here.

Faviola L.

Yelp
The Vineyard Rose Restaurant was so delightful! My boyfriend made reservations for a late Valentine's Day dinner and it was a great choice. The greeters welcomed us and allowed us to go to the bar since we were a tad bit early for our reservation. We ordered the Ceviche Tataki and OMG, DELICIOUS! So refreshing and flavorful. This was by far, my favorite meal of the night. To end our night, we got the S'mores Brownie platter and it was just what we needed to end a great night. Overall a great night at the Vineyard!

Suzanne S.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel for the wedding and ended up here for lunch before we left. Basically same menu as room service but Mediterranean salad was delicious

Dianne D.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant several times throughout the past several years, mostly to celebrate a special occasion. I've had breakfasts and dinners here, and for the most part, I've been happy with their service. I like the ambiance, a fine dining feel, low level noise, and tables have enough space between them so you have a sense of privacy.

Chuck C.

Yelp
Quaint ambiance. Eclectic menu..... special occasions. Had the carrot appetizer....was unique...good

Katie L.

Yelp
Amazing service with knowledgeable staff who are friendly. Good food, somewhat pricey.

Kristina N.

Yelp
I enjoyed eating here. My friends and I were just at Peltzer up the road and it was raining so we didn't feel like walking through it for the food trucks. We hardly waited for seating but we were close to the last hour of lunch time which is until about 3/330. I ordered and espresso martini and it was delicious and nicely made. My gf ordered a bloody mary which she enjoyed as well. Food wise, everything that was ordered was enjoyed. I ordered the roast beef dip, the arugula was a nice touch and the ju was light, not too much flavor but was still enjoyable. I had it with the side salad which the waiter told me is always their cesar salad. My friend enjoyed the fried chicken torta which was just the right amount of spicy and the kobe burger which was cooked to a perfect medium temperature. I would definitely eat here again. The decor was cozy, a little dim but comfortable.

Armen A.

Yelp
After the second visit to the vineyard rose, I need to write a review. They consistently demonstrate 3 stars at best. The service both times was amazing though. The restaurant itself is very dated and almost unmaintained. I feel they're just letting it live until it dies. Very bland and almost like a sizzler. In a big beautiful vineyard property, it should be amazing. I ordered a ribeye steak and it was cooked almost medium, (I wanted medium), but it was toward the well done side. The award winning cheese board was overpriced and not so award winning for me. I'm not a fan of the blue cheese and you don't have any options to switch up. The honeycomb was delicious. Caesar salad wasn't good, didn't taste fresh and crispy. The Carter estate cab was delicious. I doubt I'll return unless they renovate. The seasonal special didn't even intrigue me, it was a breaded pork dish.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
While I really like the South Coast winery, there are better restaurants in the area. They are one of the few restaurants with a larger indoor dining area so Vineyard is a good option if you're looking for indoor dining during the summer heat. I came with some friends for their brunch and the menu is very simple. One page with classic brunch dishes. Food was alright but nothing to write home about. Service was great though, very friendly and checked in with us several times. While the dining service has always been good, their front desk is not the most hospitable. Their outdoor dining area is nicer with a view of the gardens so I recommend getting an outdoor table if the weather allows.

Jessica G.

Yelp
We had a lovely dinner here. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas, the food was good, and they had Carolers coming around to the tables. It was such a great touch!

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Wow! This place was a hidden gem. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. The filet mignon dish is one of the best I've had. Their signature sauce made from house wine is superb. Don't miss the chance to dine here if you find yourself in Temecula's Wine Country region.

Beth G.

Yelp
This restaurant was ok. My husband & I made reservations for dinner & were seated inside. It's very big but slightly odd as the tables are spread very far apart. We like our privacy but it did feel odd. The outdoor area was spread apart as well. We opted to share a lot of starters rather than do full meals & they were ok, nothing too memorable in our opinion. Service was good.

Zenobia B.

Yelp
The food tasted so good! Was very happy with almost everything. We ordered drinks from the bar as there was a little wait since they said the kitchen was "backed up." But the server was nice. We also got the wedge salad, which I didn't take a picture of. We substituted the blue cheese for ranch. It was a great salad! The only thing that wasn't good were the potatoes (as a side). They were way too salty, but the waiter immediately took it off the bill without question. The potatoes with the steak were okay probably bc of the sauce washing off the salt? I'm not sure, but the potatoes that came with the steak didn't have a problem.

Mary Y.

Yelp
The food was not good. The chicken tasted like mush and there was no flavor. Even the bread they gave us before our dinner was gross.

Kayla-Elaine C.

Yelp
Amazing service and even better food! Everything was so flavorful and unique. We ordered mushroom toast and octopus for starters. Both were so good!!!! Octopus is pretty small for the price you get but again, great food. I got filet of beef and i have no complaints! The espresso martini is also the best I've head up to date.

Katherine P.

Yelp
Unfortunately the dining experience was very underwhelming. The ambiance fits the winery vibe on the more rustic side. Since we had our work meeting there we had both dinner and lunch there. After a very long dinner with very very slow service and mediocre food, I was hopeful for a better meal the next day. For dinner I ordered the linguini and added shrimp the pasta was overcooked. We were also celebrating a birthday and ordered a special cake and were disappointed to learn from our waiter that this was replaced with a cake that looked homemade by a 5 year old and tasted a bit like a combination of chalk and sand. My hopes for a better lunch was just another disappointment. Took a long time to seat us even the restaurant was pretty empty, but were seated it was a repeat from the last night with even slower service. To top it off my burger order was forgotten about so basically never placed with the kitchen. Definitely a memorable experience in a not so great way.

SoCal. J.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to dine. We have been eating here for years and have always enjoyed our experiences. Tonight the combination of ambience, delicious food and hospitality deserved a 5 star rating. The smoked mashed potatoes with the filet mignon we had were amazing. Our service was completely on point and the restaurant itself is gorgeous. This is very much worth trying when in Temecula wine country! Cheers!

Sky T.

Yelp
Lovely brunch spot! We had reservation and were seated outside with a gorgeous view. Classic brunch food that hits the spot and good drinks as well. Highly recommend the Bloody Maria if you want something other than wine. It's a good Bloody Mary, but with tequila and a kick from the spiced rim! The French Dip was a winner too. The au jus was super flavorful and perfect portion. The other breakfast dishes were good too and prepared well. Overall, solid brunch spot that I would visit again!

Lauren B.

Yelp
From the dinner menu. The Cab was fantastic, as was the salad & burratta toast app we ordered. Our main course was the chicken schnitzel. The dishes and the service were nothing out of this world. Ambiance is restaurant itself is ok. We went for brunch the next morning before checking out as well which was worth the $ but not incredible.

Angela V.

Yelp
Went in for dinner with a large party on a Friday and the food and service were great!! My halibut was the best I've ever had and everyone agreed that they enjoyed their dinner. We will definitely return.

Fran C.

Yelp
We have dined here before and always had. A wonderful experience, which is why we picked this restaurant for my birthday trip to Temecula. Sadly, the entire experience was unsatisfactory. There were 3 of us, we ordered the salmon, the lamb shanks and the seafood pasta. When the entrees were brought to the table, the runner had no idea who ordered what...even after we indicated our order, the plates were once again put down in front of the wrong person. Ordinarily this is not a big deal, but when the entrees are in the $40-$50 range and there are only 3 people at the table, a restaurant of this caliber should have gotten it right. Even though it's not a big deal it just started the meal on the wrong note and moving the plates around made the food cold. The pasta dish was served with a cream sauce or a red sauce. My husband selected the red sauce, but got the cream sauce. The salmon was served on polenta & a mushroom congee with squash. It looked like a big mess. There was no definition of flavors and with the exception of the salmon which was perched on top it seemed as though the chef made zero effort to plate the dish. In addition, the salmon was overcooked. Only the lamb shank was good, but again, cold. I will say that the server was pleasant and the deserts were very nice.

Jen T.

Yelp
For the amount of money you pay you'll think the service would be great and the food was mediocre. Upon checking for for a table we came 10 mins early and we weren't greeted and was informed they don't do earlier check in and that we will have to wait, okay that's not a problem. On the reservation we requested for inside they brought us out side instead and informed the host later we was able to get a inside table. We sat down and it was slow and our waitress didn't even look like she wanted to be there however the food runner was awesome and friendly. Highly recommend getting the pinot noir one of the best. The food was very disappointing sad to say for the price you pay, I give this place a 2/10. Recommend you guys going somewhere in town to eat that taste better and cheaper.

Jenny P.

Yelp
A review. Let me start first by saying that my first visit to the restaurant was great! Great food and great service. Tonight was nowhere near the first experience. We had a party of 15 which was initially a party of 10. The "manager" who greeted us was visibly frustrated by this change and let us know this as he ushered us to the side. We were open to sitting apart to make it easier so we did 3 tables of 5. Our friends who were seated 20 mins after us and ordered immediately, we ordered I would say 5-7 mins after and they were served and finished eating and we still had not received our food. Once an hour and 40 minutes passed and we received no update or no check-in from the server we had to reach out to request the status of our food order. We were told we were up next and we asked what happened and they said oh just busy kitchen which made zero sense since the other two tables had either finished their meal or were almost done with their meal. The manager offered us nothing but excuses and not one single apology. I will not go back.

Yelp
As a former employee of south coast, it pains me to leave such a negative review. We came on a Wednesday at 10:30am and the place is dead, the hostess isn't even at the stand and we waited a few minutes before she eventually came up. We didn't have a reservation and were seated quickly. I was here withy two babies, meeting my friend who also had a toddler. Our waiter was very short with us and rushed us along. Not friendly at all. Asked us if we were staying at the hotel which we weren't. It gave off such an uncomfortable feeling and vibe. Both me and my friend felt like we were not wanted here with our kids. Our kids were not loud not disruptive at all. They were being well behaved and there was absolutely no one eating at the restaurant. The food came out fast and was excellent. our waiter brought the bill, and again very short with us. Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but it made us very uncomfortable. We felt like we had to get out of there so fast. As someone who was a supervisor at south coast, this is not how you treat a customer... You don't make them feel uncomfortable because they are dinning with children. We felt very discriminated against because of it.

Yelp
We love this elegant place, Restaurant crew was very friendly. Service was excellent. Food was above and beyond our expectation. I liked my salmon and the wife was happy with her shrimps. We will definitely be back. Was Valentine's Day celebration became more meaningful. In the near future, we will try to book for room accommodation.

Yelp
Tellyer Thanksgiving Post 2022 We enjoyed and made it through Thanksgiving day with a bucolic trip to Temecula. We booked our reservation at the South Coast Winery's main restaurant, The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. We had a great time, but we miscalculated, and they served their Thanksgiving meal earlier, so we ended up having prime rib and salmon instead. PROS: They welcomed us into their large open space and found it a beautiful wood beamed lodge that reminded me of Hrothgar's keep in Beowolf. The service and ambiance were warm and inviting. The charcuterie board was adequate and nicely done. The prime rib tasted well seasoned, and the green beans were top-notch. They roasted the fingerling potatoes immaculately. The pumpkin beignets with caramel sauce tasted amazing. CONS: The server started off fine, but as the evening went on, it seemed like he was sipping too much wine and becoming more and more a bit much, and became carried away. If I am in the area, I would like to try some other restaurants at other wineries. But, I would enjoy trying more from this place.

Yelp
Came here for dinner since we were staying at South Coast. Hostess was sweet. Greeted us and made a little small talk while taking us to our table. We were seated outside w/ a nice view of the vineyard courtyard lights. It was a great SoCal evening for outdoor dining! Waitress was ok. It took a little while to get our order taken, never checked up on us throughout dinner and only saw her when asking for our check. Maybe because the person that brought us the bread consistently came to refill our water whenever it was low, she felt the need not to check on us. Not quite sure. Ordered the Lobster and shrimp avocado toast, chicken cesar salad and salmon dish. (Forgot to take pictures since I was a little tired from all the wine earlier in the day! Lol) Cesar salad and salmon were decent - not mind blowing. However, that Lobster and shrimp avocado toast was outstanding! I'd definitely come back for that and maybe try something else while I'm at it!

Yelp
Went the day after Mother's Day 2024 (a Monday for lunch) It was dead. There was one other table when we got there. Our waiter was kind but the service was horrible. Not only were we celebrating late Mother's Day/and a birthday as well, our drinks were never full, we had to ask for so many things and anything and everything we asked for was at least a 10 minute wait. We asked for silverware once the food arrived and they only brought knives (had to ask for freaking forks!) had to ask for straws and they only brought 1, when we asked for straws again they brought 10 (there were only 3 of us so as far as I was concerned that was a screw you) when we asked for paper napkins they brought us the long brown rectangle rough rectangle type you'd get from the bathrooms, they only cleared one plate at a time although we were all done with our plates, they knew we were celebrating a bday but never offered us a desert menu in case anyone else wanted desert... I could go on and on and on and on..... There were only 3 tables in there the whole time we were there and were ignored most the time. Always always had to ask for water, ice tea refills, etc. Worst experience ever for not seeing my mom in months and meeting her there (I drove from Riverside, she drove all the way from San Diego). We all wanted the steak sandwich which they were out of and on top of that, the poor bday lady got sick before we left and she was stuck in the bathroom for a good hour before we got to drive home. A cute waiter with a good personality doesn't cut it because the service was aweful! Most the time we had to grab random people walking by to ask them for things but pretty sure they were all on the same page of not caring whatsoever. Asking for desert menu, 10 mins. Asking for the bill, another 10 mins. It was DEAD in there! Never ever going back, save your money and go see pretty roses elsewhere where they have better service and care about their guests no matter what day of the week it is and no matter if you're drinking water or wine. On a lighter note, the girls in the gift shop were great and extremely friendly when I asked them if they had tums for my mom's sick friend).

Yelp
Brunch on Sundays can't go wrong, better than the buffet at Pachenga Casino Resort not to far from here. But, this whole no region has many places to sample and enjoy the vineyards. I like this place is very open, kinda romantic, a bit dimmed setting but I really like it. The sandwiches, salmons lunch offerings were great! Will be dining here more often! And leave with their signature wine, which you'll have to come see for yourself.
