Nestled in a renovated 1925 pink landmark, The Vinoy offers elegant rooms, a stunning pool, five diverse restaurants, and unparalleled access to St. Pete's vibrant attractions.
"Edgier St. Petersburg is known for its vast collection of street murals scattered throughout downtown, the Dalí Museum (with a great onsite cafe serving Spanish tortilla and crema Catalana) and grand hotels like the cotton candy-hued Don CeSar (on the beach), or The Vinoy, which recently emerged from a comprehensive renovation in 2023."

"Iconic resort with family-friendly amenities, located in downtown St. Pete with easy access to urban attractions and holiday events." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"Why we love it: A historic hotel where Old Florida elegance meets contemporary style The Highlights: - Unique amenities like a tennis complex, golf course, and private marina - A wide range of dining options to suit everyone’s tastes - A prime location near Tropicana Field and The Dalí Museum The Review: A member of Historic Hotels of America, the Vinoy Park Hotel opened in 1923—a Mediterranean Revival property overlooking Tampa Bay, designed for America’s elite. It served as a training facility for the Army Air Corps for a brief time in the early 1940s, but reopened as a hotel in 1945 and continued operations until 1974, when it closed in disrepair. Following a $93 million restoration and expansion in 1992, the hotel reopened once again as the Vinoy Renaissance, complete with a new guest tower and an 18-hole golf course designed by Ron Garl. Today, the Vinoy also boasts 360 guest rooms and suites, complete with well-lit workspaces, pillowtop mattresses, and Aveda bath products, as well as two swimming pools (one heated), a spacious tennis complex, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center with complimentary workout classes, and an elegant spa offering massages in poolside cabanas. Thanks to the hotel’s waterfront location and private marina, guests can even charter a boat for the day and explore the bay. Dining options range from sushi on the Veranda Patio to farm-to-table fare at Marchand’s Bar & Grill. The culinary standout, however, is Paul’s Landing, named for a Navy carpenter who once fished, farmed orchards, and cured meats and seafood along the St. Pete waterfront. Don’t miss the citrus-glazed shrimp and grits, or the crispy Brussels sprouts with key lime."
My stay at this beautiful hotel was June 17-19,2025.
My room was very nice, amenities were perfect. Room didn't have such a great view as it overlooked roof with pipes, etc. Room cleanliness was perfect and
Cleaning staff was perfect.
My checking in process was easy and polite.
Parking was valet only, and expensive. I checked posting of parking before I decided to stay there. Amenities stated there was self parking, when I arrived; I was told there was not self parking. Discussed thus with desk when I left, they said they'd take care of it. Did not happen as stated.
I ate at Paul's Landing 3 times. Food was excellent! View terrific! Service for my supper meal was very slow. I sat there for 15 minutes and watched while other people had their orders taken ( they arrived after me). I finally got up and spoke to the desk person. Then my order was taken..
I had a drunk at the Veranda.
Service was great and drink was excellent.
My luggage was taken to and from my room by a porter who was extremely pleasant and helpful.
The hotel is beautiful and a very pleasant place to stay.
I enjoyed the front porch and the yacht basin view.
All in all, my stay was relaxing.

Our experience at The Vinoy was incredible! From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, it was a magical experience! Special shout out to Elie for showing us the historical sides of the hotel and going out of his way to make sure we saw every part, to Joseph at the coffee shop for his outstanding customer service to Jared at the pool bar who made sure that we only had the best poolside bar drink and food experiences. The room was comfortable, the hotel is beautiful, and we look forward to coming back! Definitely recommend having a drink at Elliot Aster’s and out on the Veranda and by the pool! Staff was wonderful everywhere!

Hotel itself is really nice. Very clean, modern, nice aesthetic. However, the service has been horrendous. Our room service took over 2 hours, came cold, and with things missing. Our pool attendant, Marc, seemed to ignore us and took over an hour+ each time to bring a ginger ale we requested 2 times. I’m pregnant and not drinking alcohol and it seems we were penalized for this. Will mention it was not overly busy. Food is overpriced and not good. The fact that a 20% service charge is added to everything automatically too is bad business and incentivizes poor customer service. Would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We just stayed here for 4 nights and had the most amazing experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very dog-friendly. The staff was also great - everyone we spoke to was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in such a pretty and walkable area. It was our first time visiting St. Pete and we definitely want to come back!

It’s hard to nail down one best part of the stay. It was a "staycation" away from Tampa for my birthday and everything from the room, to the staff, to the amenities were top notch. ||Our room was enourmous and we loved having the bathroom around a corner and down a short hall from the bedroom. The room was very wel appointed and had excellent enterainment connectivity right through the existins TV set up. ||We did the pool on SAT and Emma, a young woman at the pool reception area took care of me and talked to me and treated me like we’d been friends forever. She helped my wife and I get set up and helped us with any and all wuetions and requests without batting an eye. ||We had an amazing lunch at the Pool bar Parasol and Shannon took care of us quickly, was very kind and quick to get us water refills on the sweltering day. ||We ate at Elliott Aster on SAT night and out waiter Chris was exceptional, he even brought out a little marscopone birthday treat. Great food, great service, which for only be open for 4 days was really amazing. I also spoke to Gabe from the Chicago-based restaurant group in charge of the restaurant. Great guy. ||On Friday night we tried to get a little mold of the hotel made at a vending machine to commemorate our visit.the machine wasn’t working properly, but a very sweet man from the front desk helped us and brought us the mold the next evening, that’s service.i didn’t catch his name, but he was a nice oler gentleman of Asian descent in glasses. ||On SUN the pool manager, Chris helped us out and got us set up as the pool was opening, we were leaving later on in the AM. We just wanted to get in one last hurrah at the pool. Another personable, great guy, who wasn’t just going through the motions. ||Lotties, the coffee shop in the lobby was also amazing nd the staff was quick and helpful. ||This was our first time staying here. We will be back.

We came to the Vinoy for a long weekend expecting a really wonderful experience, but we’re sorely disappointed. The hotel itself is really cute and it’s historic. However, when we were brought to our suite, the moldy smell overwhelmed us as well as the bellhop! I called right away to see if they could move us to another room even a non-suite, but I was told to call back in the morning because they had no rooms. Of course in the morning they also were “booked up” so we had to live with the mold the entire weekend. The lucky thing was that the bedroom wasn’t nearly as musty as the living area. We had to leave the balcony door open while in the room because it was just so nasty. They did offer to send engineering and ”spray the room” but we declined because I don’t want to smell some other odor on top of the mold. By the way, this was room 624.
The other disappointment was the view. It was the view of the wall housing the restaurant.
The pool was very nice and the service was good but not five star. We only had a quick lunch at Paul’s Landing and that was OK although the portions were super small.
We’re happy to check out this morning and give our sinuses a chance to clear out.

Last weekend, I had an excellent experience with a valet service that completely exceeded my expectations. Upon arriving at the restaurant, a well-dressed valet greeted me with a warm smile and immediately opened my car door. He was polite, professional, and quickly handed me a numbered ticket, reassuring me that my car would be parked securely and returned promptly when needed.||What stood out most was how smoothly the whole process was managed, even though the valet area was busy. The team worked efficiently, directing traffic and maintaining a calm atmosphere. I didn’t have to wait long either. When I requested my car after dinner, it was brought to the front within just a few minutes. The valet even remembered which car was mine before I handed over my ticket, which made the experience feel personal and attentive.||My car was returned in perfect condition, with the seat and mirrors untouched. The valet offered to help me with my door and wished me a good evening. The service was friendly, respectful, and made the night feel a little more special. It’s rare to encounter service that’s both fast and thoughtful, but this valet team definitely delivered.

What a beautiful resort! The pool, spa and lobby bar and coffee bar outstanding. Spa and all staff very lovely! Esp Jeffrey in the lobby. Our room was gorgeous and renovated! Great housekeeping as well. The special amenity on Easter sunday of the chocolates was five star. A real WOW! We celebrated Easter and anniversary here.||I gave it one minus star due to the Paul's Landing restaurant. This restaurant is very beautiful overlooking the marina and pool but the service needs serious work. Staff is not well trained and the food takes forever. We did eat there multiple times because there are not many restaurants on site. Soon an upscale lounge and restaurant will open and I hope they have better training as the atmosphere and beautiful of the resort is unmatched. Also great location to many St. Pete gems as it is bustling now as a city.

Yelp
Attended the first annual Tea and Nutcracker.
The food was excellent. My favorite tea sandwich was the truffle egg salad.
The scones were a good size and served with butter and lemon curd.
The desserts were my favorite. An chocolate covered almond cookie topped with an edible white chocolate ballet dancer.
The nutcracker:
Was disappointed that it wasn't the entire performance but just a few scenes.
The dancers did a great job. The props and costumes were nice.
However I was disappointed that no attempt was made at a backdrop. My friends and I thought even a projected lights of snow and a Christmas tree would have added a lot to the show.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful lobby with gorgeous flowers, and beautiful desserts. Stopped in during the holiday season and loved all the beautiful lights and Christmas decor.

Yelp
We absolutely enjoyed our last stay here at the Vinoy hotel in St. Pete. The hotel has definitely improved in the last years. The room and bathroom was very clean, all the employees were friendly, the breakfast was delicious and we even received two complimentary drinks for Platinum members. The only downside was the parking. It's really expensive at the hotel but there is free parking on the street though, just have to know where to park. Otherwise it was excellent.

Yelp
Very beautiful hotel. The mezzanine explains the history of this hotel. The pool is beautiful. The restaurants are great and the staff is wonderful. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Vinoy Hotel
The Vinoy is a beautiful and classic hotel in the center of St. Petersburg. It is now advertised as high-end Marriott Autoutograph Collection Hotel. As a Marriott Platinum Elite I was surprised at the very poor front desk service. I pre-checked into the hotel, and was surprised when I arrived at the front desk at 4.00pm that they informed me that my room was not available. I waited 90 minutes at the bar and returned to the front desk at 5.30pm. Again, I was told no room was available. At 6.15pm, I was finally informed that the room was ready. Needless to say, I was late to my dinner meeting. Surprisingly, I never received a clear reason for the room challenges or a true apology. I also had reserved a room on an upper floor and was given a room on the low floor with a restricted view. Overall, I was not impressed with the poorly trained staff.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It's 98 years old and has obviously been updated while keeping the charm.
The staff is wonderful - bell men, front desk, housekeeping, pool staff, etc - they were all great! Everyone we spoke with seemed to take pride in their job and in the hotel.
I honestly can't say enough good about it! The pictures will tell the story.
My husband and I are already looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Rolling up to The Vinoy in St. Pete is like stepping into a time machine. The hotel's recent renovations have gracefully preserved the historic charm while giving it a stylish facelift. As you step into the main lobby, it's like entering a scene from The Great Gatsby - grand, elegant, and filled with an air of vintage luxury.
Sitting in this grandeur is a quaint little café that's perfect for a quick coffee or a slow, indulgent pastry. But the pièce de résistance has to be the Grand Ballroom. Decked out in fresh, modern decor, it's a stunner, managing to be both grand and inviting at the same time.
And let's not forget the Tea Garden! It's a green oasis that is filled with lush foliage and serene ambiance, it's no surprise it's a favorite spot for wedding ceremonies.
Finally, the Esplanade courtyard offers an exquisite waterfront view, providing a brilliant backdrop for events and functions. The sight of the harbor, framed by the hotel's classic architecture, is a sight to behold. Whether you're a guest or just dropping by for an event, The Vinoy is a place that delivers on its promise of elegance and class.
From the time the valet greeted me to the final cocktail, every interaction with the staff was beyond what you expect from a resort of this calibrr

Yelp
Beautiful, elegant hotel, we came here for a wedding and reception. The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour was held outdoors. After the wedding, guests walked to a separate area for the cocktail hour. The reception was held in the grand ballroom which was beautifully decorate and spacious. There is a cafe in the lobby which serves pastries and gelato. Everyone employee we encountered here was helpful and gracious. Love it.

Yelp
This hotel goes above and beyond to meet your unexpressed wishes and desires. Every interaction with the staff was thoughtful and considerate, and they put us first. The details throughout the property are stunning and thoughtfully curated. If you're in St. Petersburg, the Vinoy is the place to spend your time and create moments to treasure

Yelp
The first hotel in St. Pete's! Packed with tremendous amount of history (visit the free local history museum with tickets from the front desk). The hotel wing we were in was fully renovated to a modern theme. The room was very large with 2 queen beds. The bathroom had a nice sized marble shower with great water pressure. The toilet had a power flush system (while this sounds good, it is loud and you can hear it if you are sleeping in the bed that is against the wall that separates you from the toilet side of the bathroom. The room comes with a fridge and they stock it with 2 bottles of cold water and you get 2 bottles of water that are on-top of the bar. The maid service is very professional and they do a great job. They leave you chocolate during the turn down service. We did notice some string or floss on the floor which they must have missed, but the hotel was getting ready for our conference, so it is understood. We had arrived early to the hotel so the receptionist did accommodate us by finding us a room versus making us wait for check-in. The amenities of the hotel are amazing. Feel free to use the sauna, steam room and hot tub located in the spa. The gym has lots of equipment from treadmills, ellipticals, and full circuit training machines as well as free weights. The spa offers free group classes with yoga, strength training, stretching, pilates, tennis courts, etc. And all are complimentary. You can even rent an e-bike for 1 hour per day at no charge. We definitely took advantage of this. You get free tickets to the local museum if you want to just pass time. Prepare to get your steps in. It's easy and just a fun way to do it in this hotel. There are stairs here and there which lead you to different levels of the hotel where you can enjoy various bars, the pools and hot tubs. The hotel has somewhat a renaissance theme with spanish tile throughout. The grounds are immaculate with lots of tropical foliage everywhere. And now for the negative. We came here for a conference so the kitchen had to cook for several hundred people. The conference food, which probably is the typical menu for breakfast with eggs, sausage/bacon, potatoes and cut fruits, breads and yogurt. Lunch and dinner would have salads, breads,1 chicken, 1 beef and 1 fish option and a decent amount of desserts. (I assume the selection is based on what the company wants in their budget so cannot fault the hotel for the amount of selection). The biggest complaint by most people was definitely the food as it was just ok. But eating almost the same thing daily for several days usually does that. I guess it didn't have too much taste, which seemed to be the consensus. However, I have never tried to cook for several hundred attendees at once, so I don't think it is very easy to do. The drinks at the bars were excellent however, so only compliments all around for that. The hotel staff was very friendly and they did a wonderful job in accommodating our large group. So a big thank you to them! 4 Stars due to the food (assuming the food quality is the same if you were to dine privately but this is definitely a 5 star quality resort!

Yelp
Absolutely lovely . Such a charming hotel. Friendly accommodating staff. Faith at the pool bar should get a raise because she is amazing and such good energy. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you're in St. Pete.

Yelp
It was more than $50 to park just to go to their not so great pool bar Taylor the waitress was lackluster at best and the bathrooms after being asked to be cleaned more than two times had piss all over the floor so if you're looking for a Marriott with a pretty face this is the place for you I would run away and take your business somewhere else this is not the annoy it is now a property of Marriott and the people there run it like it's a discount SpringHill suites so disappointing I grew up here by the way $50 to park was after you spent many hundreds of dollars in their restaurant which was also not that good it's a sad state of affairs as they take advantage of people after the hurricane

Yelp
A group of four of us came to the Vinoy for high tea. This event also includes an hour long tour of the recently renovated property. Living in St. Pete I was not aware of the Vinoy's history, and it was really interesting to learn about it and see the restored areas of the beautiful hotel. The high tea service was personalized and wonderful. The tea selection was great and the nibbles were yummy! My only complaints are the finger sandwich bread was a little stale, presumably from sitting out, and the price per person for the entire afternoon was a little steep. But we had a great time!

Yelp
this is a beautiful hotel, but service is lacking, seemingly overwhelmed, poorly staffed. The hotel itself structurally is weirdly oriented hard to reach the pool but the facility is really great if you have food, allergies, gluten in particular somewhere else, they're not equipped to be able to deal with it at the restaurant
Laura M.
Yelp
One of my favorite Marriotts in FL and the US. This place is so beautifully done. When you're in your room, the world feels miles away. The lovely lush carpet in the halls and in the room make for a very quiet experience. I was even able to make a bunch of audio recordings for my app. The brand new historic tower is my favorite. Make sure you get a room with a Bayview if possible.
The gelato and coffee shop in the lobby are fantastic. Sitting by the pool and having a pina nolada (sic) was a good time. The pool attendants, front desk staff, bell hops (Bonjour) and most of the valet people are top notch.

Yelp
Had high tea at the Vinoy the other day. $140pp included an hour tour that could have been completed in 20 minutes. High tea was served on the Mezzanine level in the breezeway-burnt scones were served. Save your money!

Yelp
10/10 recommend seeing Dean on the Veranda!!! You will 100% be rewarded with exceptional service and insight on the menu. Dean was able to articulate the drink menu like i've never seen before. Our stay at the Vinoy was the most pleasurable experience because Dean was so attentive! Thank you Dean for making a weekend a memory!

Yelp
Just called to "attempt" to book a stay and play at the Vinoy. Was transferred , no lie, six times ... until they ended me with a recording saying I could book a reservation online! Wow so I'm a Bonvoy member and that's the customer service I get ? I guess your employees are too busy to be bothered with a guest .

Yelp
Valet extremely rude. We confirmed ahead of time that our truck would be able to be valet'ed. Upon arrival they told my husband he could park at the Sun Dial (a decent distance away) and they would not assist in valet at all. Our truck is no bigger than a full size SUV which I just watched them park 3 of while waiting for my husband to return. Purpose of confirming was if we needed to bring a different vehicle we would have. They just said oh well nothing we can do. Very agitating way to start a relaxing weekend.

Yelp
I will never do business with this horrible establishment. I have the money to pay for valet parking. I do not want (or allow) ANY valet ever to operate my expensive, highly modified cars. I explained this to 3 managers (including the valet manager), and nobody cares. No solutions were offered, other than "park on the street." Really?! NO. I have billed valet companies dozens of times in my field for damaging clients cars. I am not ever going to change my opinion on this issue. Thanks VINOY for ruining my dinner plans (made months in advance) with my out-of-town family. DON'T do business with this ridiculous establishment, which treats clients like garbage.
Patrick K.
Yelp
I am staying at this hotel on business. Beware because this hotel is valet only. Not only is it valet only they refused to park my truck saying it was too big, even though I just watched them park a suburban. Saint Petersburg is notorious for ticketing for illegal parking and it's really hard to park here... So I had to drive far away to a parking lot where I know I won't get ticketed and take an Uber to the hotel with all of my luggage. On top of all of that they wouldn't let me idle my car so I could check in and drop my luggage off prior to finding alternative parking. I really don't care what else this hotel has to offer, the customer service and ridiculousness of not being able to park my car on site when they refused to valet, is enough to make me never stay here ever again.

Yelp
I had the most marvelous massage with Brandy. Cannot recommend her more. She has beautiful energy and took such good care of me. Everyone at the hotel and spa who I met around the massage was welcoming and friendly as well! An excellent experience of a storied resort.

Yelp
This resort is wonderful! The rehab is absolutely gorgeous. All of the staff was extremely professional.

Yelp
Buyer beware. We aren't ones to spend energy leaving a negative review, but this experience deserved to be shared. Our 17th wedding anniversary weekend getaway turned out to be quite the disappointment thanks to the Vinoy. We paid over $600/night (after fees) for an upgraded "Deluxe" tower resort view with a balcony only to be met with a balcony overlooking a depressing dirt lot, dumpster, trash, empty landscape beds with nothing but dirt in them, and sad looking palms. Completely disappointed and nearly in tears, I immediately called guest services from the room and expressed that there must be a mix up - maybe I made a mistake - maybe someone assigning our room number made a mistake - but what we were looking at outside our French doors and off the balcony, should never be considered a deluxe room with a resort view. I requested that I please be downgraded to a different room in an effort to save money since we did not want to pay for a room that was different than advertised. We paid a premium for a balcony with a good view for a nice quiet weekend away for our 17th wedding anniversary - not stare at an unfinished area that truly looked like it had been forgotten by grounds and management in the landscape planning process. The customer service rep on the phone stated that he was sorry for the disappointment, but that they were completely booked for the weekend. Despite this, he put me on hold to "see what he could do". After waiting on hold, he returned to tell me that there was no availability to downgrade us, but that he could upgrade us for more money. Unbelievable. The Vinoy had lost our trust at this point. Give them more of our money? No thanks. At this point, I question my memory and decided to check the website where I made the reservation just a few weeks prior because I specifically remembered a photo on the listing of this specific room choice being water and sail boats off the balcony - the complete opposite of what we were laying eyes on as we stepped out onto our balcony. Sure enough, the website listing where I booked the room for this Deluxe Tower Resort View Balcony room included a balcony photo with water in the distance... not a dirt lot.To say we were incredibly disappointed by the bait and switch we experienced and then the lack of care by staff, would be an understatement. We will certainly be booking at a different resort for future stays (being locals, there are plenty of others to choose from that we will gladly give our business to) and recommending our friends and family stay as far away as possible from this complete untrustworthy rip off of a hotel.
