The Vintage Tea and Cake Company Lexington

We had a large table of friends reuniting. The different teas were served in vintage teapots with a pretty selection of tea cups. The savory and sweet items were amazing, full of flavor and variety. We all had a wonderful time enjoying conversations, service and the whole tea experience.

I scheduled this tea room for my daughters baby shower and I was very dissappointed with the level of professionalism, communication and the quality of the food. The communication for this event which we were hosting for 40 people was almost non existent. I had to continually engage the owner regarding this event. I reached out 4 months prior and it was not until the week prior to the event that the owner was available for a phone call which she in fact still could not accomplish. I drove 3 hours the Friday before the Saturday's event in hopes of speaking with her which I was finally able to. In that conversation I had told her how I would like to room to be laid out but the next day it was not and I was told by her staff that the layout was not communicated to them. The food itself was mediocre at best and I had opted for additional glasses of Prosecco which I had to direct the staff in getting that accomplished for my guests. Also there were complaints to me regarding the lack of all of the types of teas that were requested on the table as well as the iced and hot teas not being clearly marked for my quests to choose. One final complaint would be that at the end of this event I did not get an itemized bill which would've been very nice since I had paid a lot more money than I was originally lead to believe it would cost. I would never recommend this location for any hosted event. It was very stressful for me during a time when it should've been fun and exciting my daughter.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience today. From a young age, I have always aspired to visit a tea parlor that offers a variety of treats and an assortment of teas to sample. Regrettably, there are limited options available in my local area. Our server, Donna, was exceptionally impressive. She provided invaluable assistance in my selection of tea, which turned out to be perfect. Despite her busy schedule, she maintained a courteous and attentive demeanor. I made a concerted effort to convey my appreciation for her outstanding service. This tea room surpassed all of my expectations, and I genuinely look forward to my next visit. Considering the enjoyment I received, coupled with the remarkable service, delectable food, and exquisite tea, I believe the prices are indeed justifiable

I took my mother-in-law here for her first high tea experience ever and…she LOVED it! 💖 We had such a wonderful time. The owner is very kind and she’s from England! The decor is beautiful. I love all the unique and pretty tea pots and tea cups. It’s also nice that they offer a vegetarian selection of the tea sandwiches and it’s much appreciated! Each bite of food was absolutely delicious from the sweets to the scones, from the sandwiches to the fresh jam + cream. We will definitely come back again soon! We also loved our tea. I got the vanilla chai which was absolutely divine and my mother-in-law got the classic English breakfast tea. We sat in the window seat in the sunshine and had a very special afternoon. Thank you! 💖🫖✨

This charming tea house in Lexington, MA, is a delightful spot that welcomes families, including children. They offer a kids’ menu, making it a family-friendly choice. Reservations are necessary and can conveniently be made online. For adults, there’s a vegetarian option available, catering to different dietary preferences. While the teas are served from tea bags rather than being freshly brewed, the establishment also provides alternatives like apple juice and hot chocolate for those who might not prefer tea. Uniquely, the tea house does not have a cashier; guests are asked to wait at the door upon arrival, where a staff member will greet them, check their reservation, and handle payment using a portable device.

I’ve been to a few high teas in my day and this was just disappointing. The layout of the tearoom is super awkward, so staff can’t see you when you walk in through the door. We showed up 6ish minutes late to our reservation and waited an additional 10 minutes (just shy of the 20 minute grace period) before someone passed by and was able to admit us in. Service was wicked slow. It was super loud inside. The scone was kinda rubbery and the clotted cream was too stiff. I liked the sandwiches and I liked that the price was pretty reasonable compared to other high teas I’ve been to. It’s just a shame that Massachusetts doesn’t have more decent high tea places around.

The tea itself was amazing. The tea selections, the sandwiches, the biscuits, and the chocolate - all amazing. The staff was super helpful and kind. The venue was nice for what we were looking for, but if you are looking for a place for a fancy high tea, it may be worth visiting the venue before booking. It felt to me like we were in the reception room of my old church, which has its comforts, but isn't what everyone would necessarily be looking for. Then again, maybe that's exactly what you are looking for! Check it out! Although parking was nearby, it was metered, not enough time per payment to get through a 2 and a 1/2 hour tea, and you couldn't re-up the same parking spot. You had to move to a new spot in order to be able to deposit again. On the upside, it seemed like meter enforcement was low - nobody who chose not to move got a ticket.

We had such a lovely bridal shower today. Everything ran so smoothly. I had some special requests and Adele and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, which was incredibly kind of them. The room was set up beautifully with a variety of teapots, cups and saucers and tiered serving plates. The staff were very attentive, personable and professional. Each tea sandwich, the scones and desserts were delicious. The tea selection was wonderful. Everyone loved it and especially the bride!
