Loved the concept, but not the execution
I went to check out the "Jeanius" bar, as I have some trouble finding jeans that I really love. I'm a little taller and curvier, but still fit in standard straight sizes. Angel was really nice, but seemed to be randomly pulling items after quickly eyeballing me and asking what shape/color I'm looking for. They pulled only one pair at a time, and ask to see how each fit. The first pair they pulled was tight in the thighs, gaping in the back of the waist. Second was the same. Third pair didn't even go over my hips. Fourth same issues with tightness/gapping. At that point I called it a day, as I tend to have better luck pulling my own items.
What I ✨WISH✨ this place did was:
First, staff could take measurements (waist, hips, thighs). Then they could go into inventory and filter to see what might fit, and pull those options. The team could still add some styling magic by helping prioritize which to try on, and sharing interesting/helpful information about jeans. For example, asking the individual to describe their style in 3 words, and then helping narrow down the options. Or, for example, sharing tidbits like '____ brand is naturally more stiff, where as ___ brand is usually more stretchy, which would you prefer?' Lastly, they could sell the clips and buttons for waist adjustments to add another opportunity for minor tailoring.
