Victory Community Church now called The Virtue Church is a Word based ministry. Today's service was so much fun as we assembled together in the church building for some corporate praise & worship. I moved here about a year ago from San Francisco. To be honest, I was never religious. I actually hated going to church growing up, and would pretend I was sick just so I wouldn't have to go. Something about this church was different though. Pastor and his wife are amazing people. They truly do care about the people in the church. The elders are super nice. I came in thinking that I would just hide in the back and hoping no one would notice me. Nope, boy was I wrong. Everyone greeted me. It's literally the most loving place I've been to so far here in Arizona and it has been truly amazing. Now, I look forward to Thursdays bible study, Women of Wisdom Saturdays, Sunday mornings and Singlehood Simplified Fridays. If you are new, my recommendation - bring a notebook and your bible. Pastor covers EVERYTHING. I mean EVERYTHING. If I had any thoughts or questions from that week, I would write them down, and he would always answer all my questions in his sermons. It trips me out. He's good - really good. Maybe, he reads minds . Nah, just kidding. It's definitely God. I've taken some of my friends here from out of state -- ranging from all different religions, buddhist, muslim, etc. and they loved it. They wish they had a church like this in the Bay and in Hawaii. His way of teaching is unique -- truly an avant-garde way. It's different - it's not boring and they like to have fun. lol.

I have been to the Wednesday night service at 6:30 which I really enjoyed. And today my husband and I visited during their 10am Sunday service. The people here are very friendly and they make you feel welcome. There is ample parking and they also have a children's church which is always a plus so that the service can be enjoyed by the adults but the kids also get to fellowship and learn. They have a saying here "welcome to church unusual" which is to say expect something different if you are coming to hear the word you will definitely hear it and praise and worship is also very spirit filled; after today I am charged up and ready for the week!

Pastor Charles A Johnson is amazing! If you're looking for real life application as it pertains to the word then you should be here! It's not "churchy" by any means but you're definitely going to get spiritually fed. They have been working on Praise and Worship but the band is amazing- I get my praise on in the car on the way to service regardless! The word is next to none and that why I'm a member!

this is my church home hands down.. i new after the first sercice that this is where i was ment to be. everyone makes you feel very welcome!

As a first time visitor, I had a terrible experience. Was told 3 times I couldn't sit in this section, that row, nor leave a seat between me and the next person while there was plenty of open seating. I've been to small churches before, but none so micromanaged. It was impossible to stay beyond the singing, since I at least wanted to hear the preaching. It was a terrible and unwelcoming experience. Will not be returning.
