Here Are the 2022 Eater Awards Winners for the Twin Cities | Eater Twin Cities

"Debuting in December 2021, the Creekside reads like a veritable love letter to mid-century Wisconsin supper clubs, complete with retro ephemera (a Fawn Fleetwood cigarette vending machine, plush red booths, and some choice taxidermy) and uncanny period details: the bartender humming Billie Holiday while pouring a draft of Bell’s and brandy Old Fashioneds so true to their sweet-sour Wisco form they feel almost like cultural artifacts. I found the cooking to be an affectionate, skillful homage to Midwest traditions—an unrivaled relish tray, baskets of eggy popovers, and a warming beef short rib with carrots and hash that feels heartfelt and expertly prepared." - Justine Jones

I gave it 5 stars because it is a great place to live if you can actually get in. I have lived here since this place opened in 2020. The apartments are great even now after 5 years. I have a 2bed 2bath. The bedrooms are a nice size and the bathrooms are pretty spacious. The front area (living room and kitchen) is very open and the balcony is also pretty big. Outside is usually pretty clean. Over the years management has changed 4 times now but the company change was twice. I’ve only known the first 2 property managers Veronica and Maria. But to be fair I don’t really go to the office mostly because I don’t have a reason to aside from when it’s time to renew my lease. I went from paying 780 the first year I lived here to now a little over 1100 for the same apartment. For the last 2 years I’ve tried getting a 3 bedroom but there’s never any available and the only reason I haven’t left here is because it’s always quiet and I’ve never had any problems and I really like it here. I don’t really have any complaints but it has gotten harder and harder to get in touch with management over the phone, emails, or even going to the office. It’s been very rare to see someone working in the office. But maintenance is always on top of work orders. I haven’t had to submit many work orders but when I do they respond within 2 business days sometimes faster depending on the issue.

Has to physically show up in person to get ANY kind of communication, staff wasn’t exactly friendly. Told straight up that they had NOTHING and it’s income restricted- which is nowhere to be found on their website. Finding reviews from a year ago and on with this same issue, obviously the system you have here doesn’t work and you DONT actually value those inquiries.

I lived here for just under 2 years before purchasing my own house. The affordability of the apartments here (compared to any other place in Kenosha) is fantastic! Maria the Property Manager is amazing, and helped guide me through the entire process from application to leaving. The tenants around me were great, and I could barely hear my upstairs neighbors. The apartments were in clean & good condition, along with the grounds around the apartment complex. I absolutely recommend this complex to everyone that qualifies for it.

Asked about listings that are on their website and was told they have no availability. I also called Multiple times and never got a call back. But instead got an email last year and now this year when looking for a new place to live "we don't have anything available, but can add you to the wait list."

The property managers made the move in process quick and easy. I’ve had no issues trying to reach office staff no matter the concern. They have great communication with residents, and always let us know when something is going on at the property. The apartments are nice, and if something isn’t up to standard, they are great about fixing/replacing things in a timely manner.

The drastic increase in rent every time it comes time to renew the lease. Looking at a $300 increase which is a little bit steep for a senior citizen on a fixed income , especially considering the max income restriction/ limitations allowed to live in the community. Aside from the drastic rent increases that have occurred with no real explanation. Vista is a wonderful place and is pretty peaceful. Very convenient location and not too far from the Illinois state line. Office staff is very pleasant and professional and patient with working with elderly.

We love it here! We’ve been living here since July. It’s our first time renting and they’re really great at answering any questions you have, typically the same day or the next day. We have a two bedroom two bath which is super convenient with our little ones when one bathroom is occupied. I always recommend it to coworkers or friends when they say they’re looking for an apartment. If there’s a problem it gets handled that day. I especially love it here because my daughters are loud being toddlers and my neighbors can’t even hear them and I can’t hear theirs either! It was the number one thing I was concerned about was my daughters were gonna be too loud. But now they get to be as loud as they want.

Love love love it! Moved in about 3 months ago and everything has been so easy. Any maintenance issues are fixed in a timely manner and without any hassle. The office staff is friendly and kind. The complex is quiet and located within great distance to all Kenosha has to offer!
