California-Based Breakfast and Brunch Restaurant the Waffle Experience is opening at the Works along Chattahoochee Avenue in Northwest Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"Set to open next summer in northwest Atlanta at The Works development off Chattahoochee Avenue, the California-based breakfast and brunch restaurant The Waffle Experience—founded by Marine Corps veteran and chef Michael Donoho and featured on the Travel Channel show Man v. Food—will take up residence on Chattahoochee Row, the development’s “main street.” Everything on the menu, from breakfast dishes and bloody marys to sandwiches and salads, incorporates waffles; the new location will offer both indoor and outdoor seating plus a walk-up window for to-go drinks under The Works’ open-container license. The Waffle Experience currently operates locations in Sacramento, Folsom, and Elk Grove, California." - Beth McKibben

This place is amazeballs. Came here to meet a friend for breakfast as they were intially craving some waffles and chicken. They ended up getting a hamburger with the works, and I got what ever picture I pointed at on the menu lol. It was a delicious experience over all from both our plates, and the service was super friendly and easy to engage with. We plan to visit here again in the future.

the food was excellent! they needed 1 more person in the lobby. there were 2 groups of 4 ahead of us 2. it was busy yes. the guy who came up was impersonal. they have an outside eating area. sent the 4 who chose to sit outside with menus and sat the other 4..we got seated fast. our waitress was very friendly..food took a little long. but as I said worth it! Bathrooms disgusting!! Lobby floor disgusting.. it was still early..floors should not be that dirty!

The best steak scramble on the planet. The steak was cooked perfect and diced big enough to enjoy a piece of everything in one bit if u are like me n like to savory all my food at once. steak, eggs, with bell peppers grilled to a medium char that cooked them just enough on the outside and still had a nice firm feel. The POTATOES OMG THE BEST AROUND TOWN. Not only are the a good size for country potatoes they were cooked to perfection. All the way through i mean soft but still crispy on the outside ! As for the waffles of course tasty but not like ur average fluffy pancake style but still delicious I prefer it. I suggest when u order this meal ask them to bring ur waffles out first or last after u eat ur main plate so they don't get cold. They would have been better hot im sure of it. I jumped on my steak and eggs what can I say I'm meater above all !!!! Definitely coming back to this location had the best waffle experience for sure the staff as so sweet and friendly. P.s. if u go please dont take the chalula! They had to replace them all. Pp have been taking them can u believe that!

Definitely give this restaurant a shot. There are more options than just waffles too but you're missing out if not trying at least one of the waffle plates. Lots of options and there is a breakfast and lunch menu. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well. The parking lot isn't super big but usually you can find a spot. The restaurant is clean and well maintained but can get a little hard to hear if crowded. Overall, we had a great experience!

I have to be honest with this review The food was on point 👍🏽 everything was cooked perfect and it was a decent portion thank u chef 💯 Service was mediocre the lady barely knew English They gave me soda from a can 😂 and they only had 3 choices The juice was in small glasses lol so for $4 it was a gulp lmao fr... The atmosphere was dry the TV wasn't on there was nothing to look at except an empty chalkboard and the music was playing that was ok and the floor wasn't sweped other than that my Waffle Experience could've been better and would I come back sure I would I'm curious to see how the other food tastes... Oh and the price was👌🏽they have it to if u pay cash it lowers your bill by a few bucks...

So this isn't good. I have tried to go here 3 times, I've walked out twice. The hostess, she gets you to your seat, she's on it. The waitresses, they don't care. They don't greet you, they don't bring water, they don't offer to start a drink. Nothing. You just sit there, until they are damn good and ready to come help you. This morning they had 4 tables and 3 waitresses and I'm sure a manager on staff. Not one single person acknowledged us in the time we sat there and this is the second time. The one time I did eat here, I didn't get sick, but the food wasn't so amazing that it's worth this nonsense. I'll never be back.

This is such a great restaurant, from the servers to the food. I haven't had a perfectly made poached egg except here.... except for the exception of once, which they replaced without hassle (yes, I'm that picky about perfection of an eggs Benedict, which is why I say I love them). The sauce is always perfect, and everything is made so amazing and consistent. The pork belly is on point. Not to mention, the bloody Mary's come with so many sides, you MUST try them all (especially the pork belly) or the waffle BLT. I truly only thought it was a waffle place, so I never wanted to try it. It's not JUST a waffle experience. It's a breakfast experience. This is a hidden gem

Soooo very disappointing today. It's sad to see some of the changes that have taken place. The potatoes are now tiny little cubes, dried out, and very bland. And forget about salting them cause they're so tiny and dried out that the salt doesn't stick anyway. Even Denny's does a better job with their potatoes. The cubes are so little that you can't stab them with your fork and if you scoop them up with your fork, they fall off just trying to get them to your mouth. The way the potatoes were in the past were made larger bite sizes, well seasoned, soft of the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. So sad to see The Waffle Experience has changed their potatoes. Also, the bacon was nothing special anymore either. (I asked for extra crispy and had to request for my to be recooked) Very thin bacon slices and nothing special at all. And the waffles, not a bit of butter on them and very little strawberries. I used to love taking friends to The Waffle Experience for those who hadn't ever been there or when I was celebrating something and wanted a fancy breakfast. After today's very disappointing experience, I've lost my excitement about going back to The Waffle House any time soon. In the future, I'll do special occasion breakfasts with friends to someplace like Orphan in downtown Sacramento.
