The Walker

The Walker in Downtown Cary is hands-down the best place I’ve ever lived! Going on year three and we still absolutely love it here. The location is unbeatable, the building is beautiful and incredibly well-maintained, and the amenities truly elevate daily living. What really sets The Walker apart is the people. The office and maintenance staff are incredibly kind and attentive. They consistently go above and beyond to make residents feel at home. Living here has been such a joy. I recommend it to everyone I know.

Had the worst experience. Woman said that I could not enter for a showing without showing her papers for my service dog. She called her manager and the manager confirmed this. I told her that this was illegal and that she was violating my rights ( I have papers by the way, but it was the principle! Know the law). She then said that if my (24lb highly trained Cavachon) dog damaged an apartment they had no recourse. I again said that this is violative of federal law. She said that she didn't like my aggressive tone and said that if I didn't leave immediately that she would call the police because now I was trespassing. And that she's wasn't asking me to leave because of the dog, that she was denying me a tour because of my tone. I don't know if that was a gaslight or a save. I told her to go ahead call the police. She did. I took pictures of all the ADA signs that they had on the wall and told her I was filing a report and I left. Her name is Hanna. I waited a while outside for the police then asked myself, why would I even consider living here? Never! Horrible energy. Then I went to the Allison at Fenton, they were lovely people. Later I learned from a friend of someone elses with an dog bad experience at The Walker. And they say that they are dog friendly. Never have I been treated do poorly.

The Walker is a great place to live! We enjoy our view overlooking the park and being so close to everything downtown Cary has to offer. If you are a dog lover the Bark Park is for you. And the Bark Bar is a cozy place to grab a cool drink. The Walker staff are the best from the management to the onsite wonderful maintenance staff. We are so glad we found this community in downtown Cary.

The Walker apartments are truly a remarkable place to live. The new Cary park radiates positive energy that fills the apartments. And the staff work diligently to solve any issue that may come up. Truly caring about your problems as though they were their own.

I moved into the Walker about a month and a half or two months ago and it's probably the best decision I've ever made as far as WHERE I want to live and HOW I want to live. The people in the community here are amazing. It's incredibly friendly, open, and positive. It's hard not to feel like there's something good and right when you walk in and talk with the team or meet your neighbors. And then the physical place is just amazing. I tell everybody I've got the best apartment in Cary. A world class downtown park is my backyard. Restaurants, bars, and camaraderie are all just a short walk away. The place is alive and vibrant during the day and in the evening, yet peaceful and Serene at night. There's no place I'd rather be actually than sitting on my back deck, watching the lively Park during the day or listening to the frogs at night. The Walker is more than a building to me. It's had a huge positive impact on my lifestyle. If you're looking for a place that is energizing positive, and also happens to have probably the best location in the entire region, there's no better place to be.

We recently moved from Houston to Cary, and Nicole made the entire transition smooth and easy. She responded quickly to all our questions and took the time to help set up our account. It was a great experience, and I’m truly thankful to Nichole and the management team. The Walkers' apartment itself is more than great, it's in the best location in Cary! It’s convenient to restaurants and coffee shops, and there’s a beautiful park right next door. We couldn’t be happier!

Of course the location is great… simply the best location in Cary! But then you also get a great apartment with high ceilings, huge windows, quartz counters, modern appliances and abundant lighting. But it’s the staff that really makes this a 5 star place. Everyone on the management and maintenance teams is friendly, attentive and prompt, and they’re always working to keep this place working great and looking good. Thanks team!

I moved into The Walker a few months ago, and it’s quickly become clear that I made the right decision. There’s a tremendous sense of community here—from the well-organized social gatherings to the world class amenities, to the unbeatable close access to Downtown Cary Park and shops. The staff at The Walker have been fantastic to work with, especially Don and Mike the Maintenance Staff and the Administrative Staff; Nicole and Hannah. Each of these people always have a smile on their face and always go above and beyond. I truly love living here!
