"Open to everyone for free, this library lets you browse all books written by Haruki Murakami in both the original Japanese and foreign languages, along with artworks, interviews, and records related to his writings—all donated and provided by Haruki Murakami himself." - Wakana Kubo
Great place to spend a day! The place has multiple references from Murakami’s books. Individuals don’t need reservations. Groups of 20 or more need reservations beforehand.

Homely library. Open concept makes it feel more peaceful. The amount of works on display was impressive. The timeline was nice too. There’s also a cafe on the bottom floor. Be sure to grab and quick snack and pick up a souvenir. The exhibition hall is on the second floor.

You can read Murakami’s masterpieces in a wide range of language! Beautifully and elegant-designed building, and loving the exhibition 🤍. Quiet to read Murakami books and listen to his taste of Jazz music. I fell in love with Sinarta’s songs for young lovers here

If you are here for Haruki Murakami, you’ll see all of his works in every language displayed in the half part of the first floor. And that’s it. In the museum, only a corner was dedicated for his works.

As a big fans of Haruki san, it is unbelievable to visit the library and see all the collections, the books, the music and the studio. Also the library is designed by master Kengo, which is iconic and full of his style. Wihl cafe inside is also tasty, highly recommended

Off the beaten path Library in university housing many books and collections of the famous author. Nice jazz music listening room playing records of various genre music. Nice visit if you are into literature and this author’s works. Peaceful getaway from the big city noise.

Somehow I got a ticket to this building. It's wooden and smells new and sounds like jazz. Books and records and a reconstruction of Murakami's workspace are just some of the super literary neat things here-- also the piano from his jazz cafe is in the actual cafe downstairs. If you're a fan, then totally come bask in the ambience. BOOKS!

It is a recommended visit for somebody who is really into Murakami’s work. Don’t expect something big, rather than on the cozy, exquisite design and architecture. There’s no need for previous registration anymore, you can just go in without saying a word.
The café downstairs may improve in the atmosphere, but the food was nice and not as expensive as I initially thought.

Solid place to study.
I used to come here quite often when I studied abroad in Tokyo at Waseda. There were always plenty of seats and it was ridiculously QUIET so you could get your homework/reading done in a jiffy. They have tables that you can sit at but they also have single study desks if you need more privacy. Restrooms are also pretty nice here too. Don't forget your student ID because you need it to swipe in!
