As a lifelong coffee lover, I was excited to see another coffee house opening in the Lowcountry area of Mount Pleasant and Charleston. From the moment you walk through the door, the openness is striking, especially since many coffee houses can feel small or cramped. The layout is well thought out, with an ordering area that includes wall seating and barstools, and a separate common area with tables and a couch that gives a cozy, “at home” or visiting-a-friend feel. The overall vibe of The Washington Café is warm and inviting, from the friendly customer service to the décor choices and the standout artwork that meticulously adorns the walls. I ordered a hot latte and the strawberry cornmeal cake, which was perfectly baked, tasty and full of flavor, which I enjoyed while working from my computer. On my way out, I grabbed an iced coffee and some merch. The coffee is rich, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. It is a great spot to work, meet for a meeting, or simply enjoy a really good cup of coffee! I believe The Washington Café will not only become a welcomed addition to the area, but a go-to staple for those who frequent coffee houses.

If you want good energy, good people, and coffee that truly understands you, this is it.

I stopped by for the soft opening and absolutely loved it! The vibe was so welcoming, spacious, fun and full of great energy. PJ, the owner, was super cool and made everyone feel right at home. The coffee and treats were flowing and everything I tried was delicious. The decor and art on the walls added such a real and creative touch. You can tell this place was built with love and community in mind. Definitely my new favorite coffee spot!

I was visiting family and was told about this cafe having their grand opening and decided to take a peak in. What a cute cafe. It’s very welcoming and cozy. I met the owner, who was so pleasant and appreciative of the support. I ordered a caramel latte and couldn’t choose or just one thing, so I tried the mini sweet potato pie and strawberry cornmeal cake and was blown away. I see great things for this cafe. Reasonably priced and delightful sweet treats.

The atmosphere is nice. The owner and staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The latte I had was amazing. Definitely a place to go if you want to relax and vibe.

I Just loooovvve this new cafe! The atmosphere is so mellow and laid back! The decor makes it so relaxing with a touch of urban style attached! This cafe has an amazing wide selections of teas that are so tasteful!! “Still Life”’ is a must try this tea has such a crisp pine like taste! I am so ready to try many more! Saturday morning coffee date with my son. Decided to check out the newly opened Washington Café and was pleasantly pleased! The owner, Peter, is kind and down to earth and really takes time to make his customers feel at home. The café is spacious and has a really great vibe. A family friendly atmosphere with the added touch of personal, family photos on the wall. Cultural artwork throughout the space as great tunes filled the air. They have a great selection of coffee, teas, and treats. I decided on a Dirty Chai and it was smooth and delicious. It was a great complement to the Strawberry Cornmeal cake. A must try. Cozy ambiance, great service, and seriously good drinks and treats! A great start to my weekend!

This is a new coffee shop in Mt. Pleasant and it has such a great vibe. The service was great and fast. The barista was very helpful. The sweet potato pie was good as well. Definitely, if you are in the area go and check out this wonderful small business.

I love coffee and search for small quaint shops wherever I go and The Washington Cafe did not disappoint. Super comfy, modern, and inviting. I had my favorite latte, lavender/honey/oat milk, and the barista didn't disappoint. The owner, PJ, brought it out and was the perfect host. I'll definitely go back. Thanks Washington Cafe!

One of the coolest hang out spots in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant with a soulful vibe that reminds you of a big city. And the coffee and chewies are a MUST.

Good vibes and tasty drinks! A good place to hang out and read a book. The workers were super friendly and helped us pick out drinks. My wife loved the Washington Fizz.
