Bought some Pennsylvania Dutch egg nog ready to drink, on Oct 23rd. It didn't really taste right, and it did a bit of curdling on the inside shoulder of the bottle. We didn't finish it. Went to a competitor a few days later & they said they hadn't received their shipment of it yet. Hmmm? So the competitor subsequently got their shipment in & we bought a bottle on Nov 9th, wife encouraged me to buy it as I wasn't wanting anymore after the purchase at Waterhole. So the bottle we bought at the competitor tastes great, rich & creamy & seems fresher than the one purchased at Waterhole. We used to own a liquor store & sold quite a bit of this product, it actually is very good for a ready to drink item. We never had any left after the holiday season because it sold out. We have a suspicion that what we purchased was last holday season's leftovers from 2023. We will be doing business at the competotor's strictly from here on, this product was less expensive there as well. Sorry Waterhole, we tried!
EDITED to ADD: Wife just found where Pennsylvania Dutch egg nog has a shelf life of only 7 months, it is only sold during the holiday season--Thanksgiving thru New Years. Check it out on google, just enter: how long is pennsylvania dutch egg nog good for.
