I’m a Hilton Silver member, and this experience completely ruined my trust in Hilton. Before booking, I was clearly told that this hotel accepts Emotional Support Animals. Based on that information, I decided to bring my dog. However, upon arrival, I was unexpectedly charged a pet fee. When I complained, the hotel staff said that under California law, they are allowed to charge for Emotional Support Animals. If that’s the case, then don’t advertise or tell guests that ESAs are accepted without clearly disclosing the additional charges. Had I known there would be a fee, I would never have brought my dog or chosen this hotel in the first place. This felt misleading and honestly like a waste of money. What makes this even more frustrating is that I stayed at a Hyatt hotel for two nights immediately after, and when I explained that my dog is an Emotional Support Animal, they removed the pet fee with no issue at all. For anyone traveling with a dog or an Emotional Support Animal: I strongly do NOT recommend this Hilton property. Save yourself the stress and go to Hyatt instead. This experience has completely turned me off from Hilton, and I don’t see myself staying with them again.

If the customer service was better it would get a 4-5 star, and I want to give it a lower star rating but the hotel itself in terms of cleanliness and had everything gone smoothly would be a 4-4.5 star. … Pros: Beautiful Christmas decorations, fun Grinchmas opportunity (very limited hours), multiple food options (but quite overpriced & the grab n go panini for $18 doesn’t even come with chips or an apple), and walkable to the pier & a mall (with food options). Beautiful large beach across the street. 2 big pools, 2 hot tubs, and 2 waterslides (but limited hours and they shut down for no good reason, read more next). Cons: Only valet parking, and pricey ($55). While staff smiles, not exceptional customer service. We’ve stayed at plenty of hotels where just doing something small for a guest really shows their appreciation, especially if something on their end doesn’t go as planned (not a typical customer complaint about something like a hair in the bed). My son wanted a local road trip to a hotel with water slides for part of his Christmas present. We knew there was some rain Friday morning, but called before we left (1 hour prior) to confirm that the water slides were open. The staff said yes, 10-4, and they’d remain open unless there was lightning. There was no lightning and actually the rain was stopping (it was dry by the time we arrived at 2pm). Our plan was to spend 2 hours each day at the water slides to maximize our 1 night stay (at check-in and check-out). Excitedly, we got to the pool, but found the slides were closed, despite being told just 1 hour prior they were open. My son wanted me to go ask if they were just on break. The front desk said they decided to close them due to low usage. Well, obviously, it was between check-out and check-in time, and cooler weather, but you just told me 1 hour ago they’d be open till 4, and actually in the time we were at the pool there were 9 kids all playing in the water, wishing the slides were open. We asked if they’d open them, but they sent the lifeguard home. They didn’t volunteer any concession and almost seemed annoyed, stating matter of factly that it was closed. That type of customer service alone is a turn off. I asked if there was anything they would do, “no,” I asked again, they said maybe a late check out (I already have that with my status, and kids don’t want to play for 4-5 hours, we already would have 2 hours in the morning, we wanted it to be a 2-day experience, & my other kids nap mid-day). Anyway, so I asked if they’d provide a credit so we could grab a snack by the pool, and she finally offered a $25 credit. It was basically a joke since the food was overpriced. The other hotels we’ve stayed at offer a drink just because (not because of a complaint, just making guests feel special), or reimbursed parking (I didn’t even have to ask). They did not offer to reimburse the resort fee (for amenities that were not opened when advertised & specifically called to ask about…), nor reimburse parking, or anything meaningful. Disappointing because small customer service gestures go a long way for loyalty, positive reviews, and return guests. Friends often ask us for recommendations, we travel frequently, and it’s obvious to us which hotels provide that special touch. I actually rarely write hotel reviews, and rarely complain about anything, but after having some amazing hotel stays recently, it makes customer service a differentiator. (Stressing again I would have understood if it was actively pouring or had lightning, but we had even just called to ask and confirm the slides were open, and it was not raining (9+ kids, over 15+ people at the pool)…but it seems they just wanted to save a few hours of lifeguard salary.)

Took the kids here on a Staycation Sunday to Monday. We got a cabana at the pool and were met with exceptional hospitality. Katt at the front desk booked our rooms and she was so nice. Lear was the name of a manager at the pool and he made sure my family was taken care of and comfortable. The food was decent but we never ate it hot when they brought it to us. Of course the kids didn’t want to eat until the food sat for an hour. If there were food warmers on the cabanas and this place would be hard to leave.

This place is great with incredible customer service. We are in the midst of our stay. First, we are Diamond members and know room upgrades are hit and miss. The lady at the front desk, Paisley (I hope that’s her name. White/blonde lady) really fought for us and got us an upgrade. She prob took 5 minutes and was intently trying. Beautiful ocean front suite (pic below). So big shout out to her. Then we went to Henry’s for dinner and Tony greeted us he’s the general manger and the nicest guy. Gave us a free appetizer and an anniversary dessert. Our server Kyle was awesome too! So far the service has been first class, I’d argue for hiltons probably better than the Waldorf’s we have stayed at. Thank you HH for making me and my wife’s anniversary getaway so special.

The team at the Waterfront Beach Resort went above and beyond there duties during my family’s stay in October. I can’t thank them enough to how welcoming and caring and safe they made us feel after a accident occurred outside of the hotels purview but took it upon themselves to make sure everyone in our party was safe and okay. From the managers to the staff thank you!! Everything about the hotel and pools and food and ambience was great and I would say this is my new SoCal go to resort location.

Google
Great location, comfortable/pretty quiet rooms, pet friendly, EXCELLENT staff all around. Our room had a small fridge and they would bring up a microwave if we wanted for a fee (didn't take them up on it) Pool/hot tub areas were outdoors and required wristbands. There was a family one with a slide and another 'adult only' Pool area; both had beach access that was great. Just felt a little 'nickle and dimey' if you understand. People and service were great but kinda 1 forced to use them like for parking and then 2 felt obligated to tip because of it. I think this area/place is more for people looking to splurge on vacation with extra $, or just maybe its not my style in general. You HAVE to pay for vallet parking which was a little annoying i.e. no self park option. If you want to charge an EV it was flat $25 a charge I found. If you're contemplating going to/using any of the hotel services (restaurants, room service, spa, shopping) you are going to be paying what I thought was a pretty outrageous premium even considering 'California/beach or luxury vacation ness' (we abstained save for 1 night ordering dinner). Saving grace was some discount days we were offered at some of the on property restaurants.

We recently stayed for a Monster Energy trip and all the staff were so friendly ! A special shout out to Tina and Rich who helped with our private dinner on the Friday night. Their kindness and hospitality was top tier. Beautiful hotel overall I highly recommend it.

Amazing service from the Waterfront team! We came in for the air show and reserved a Daybed on the pool deck which was the perfect seat! We were greeted upon arriving at the front desk by Lear and Damian who were friendly and welcoming! The pool hostess Riley was enthusiastic and got us all set up for our day. Our server Amy was attentive and always made sure drinks were full and we had everything we needed. Thank you to the best team for taking care of us!

Yelp
Happy almost New Year! I am a little late, but I am catching up on reviews from the past few months of 2025. A highlight of my summer was celebrating my birthday at the Waterfront Hilton's bonfire service. It was so nice not having to worry about finding a bonfire pit or bringing our own supplies. We just showed up, were greeted by the super nice and helpful team members, and had an amazing night. They took special care and even put "happy birthday" into the sand before our arrival. I was so impressed! We also had amazing service from Greg! He brought out special colored lights to add to our birthday celebration and even provided a surprise dessert compliments of the hotel. There were even blankets in case we got cold! This is something my whole family would do again and we loved every second of it! Special thanks to Greg and all of his help in celebrating that night, made it feel extra special!

Yelp
The hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays. Located near Pacific City and Main Street, this hotel offers easy walking access to restaurants and stores. We appreciated the hotel's two pools: one with slides for kids and a quieter pool for adults to relax in. We also enjoyed walking across the street to the beach to watch the sunset. Overall, a great location with beautiful beachfront views. However, we had some problems with our bathroom, such as a broken bathroom door and water all over the floor after taking a shower.

Yelp
This is a very special place to stay gorgeous views, clean, and comfy rooms, excellent restaurants and centrally located in the heart of HB. Even though we live locally, staying here feels like a vacation. We are especially impressed with the staff. Tony at Henry's and Peter & Pedro at Cabo Wabo. This continues to be our favorite place to really relax in a beautiful atmosphere.

Yelp
I stayed at the Waterfront Beach Resort for a business trip and found it to be a great hotel that really embraced the surf city feel from the teal paint to the beach themed signage. I will admit I didn't see much of the property as I often was only here to sleep. I came here late at night to check-in and everyone was very pleasant. I was grateful for the gracious midnight welcome, a result of travel delays. I thought the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom acceptable. The closet's light struggled to figure out if it wanted to turn off once on, but I eventually figured out a workaround. The room felt a bit dated from the closet doors that stuck a bit when opening and closing to the deck chairs whose cushions would not stay on. The property had a ton of character from giant size versions of games to little photo op spots. It looked like a fun place for vacation.

Yelp
Location great, ambiente inside reasonable whereby I should say that I did not stay at the hotel but only visited for a meeting. The staff was nice. The provided food buffets were very good. Couple observations though: 1) The meeting rooms were far too cold, which made everything uncomfortable 2) It was raining massively (sorry for the participants who had hoped to see warm California weather): - The umbrellas leading a path to a second exhibit room were so low that I had to crawl my way there -The valet parking guy displayed a lot of intelligence in leaving the window open 3) The AV equipment provided was suboptimal and superslow ...

Yelp
The staff have made our wedding anniversary weekend so special. Everything we experienced on our weekend staycation on property has been amazing. From arrival to our staff selected room, to enjoying Cabo Wabo, Offshore 9, Surf Hero, to Henry's, we have enjoyed every moment. Yes, this is why I am a Hilton Honor's Diamond Member and owner. Check it out for yourself.

Yelp
Have stayed at this Hilton a few times now. Always happy with the service. Wish the pool was bigger but the ocean is in walking distance! Will be back!

Yelp
I recently had a 3 night stay at Hilton's waterfront property in Huntington Beach. With well-equipped rooms, multiple restaurants, and a short walk to the beach, this location can't be beat. My room had a single king bed, a small balcony with a view of the pool and beach, a nice bathroom, tv, and plenty of space. Be warned, the bed is hard as a rock. If that's your thing, you'll be comfortable, but if you need a soft mattress to sleep I would pick a different hotel. The staff was all polite and helpful, the hotel was clean and well maintained, and it wasn't loud after hours. I did try the Cabo Bar while I was there. The drinks are small and can cost you upwards of $15. On the upside, you can get them to-go and enjoy them on your balcony. Was it work the $$? Questionable, but it'll you're on vacation it may be worth the splurge. The only food I had was part of a breakfast buffet included with a conference. The variety was great, food was cooked well for a buffet. Nothing was outstanding but it was all fresh. Would I stay here again? I would! And I'd make time to hit the spa.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights and had a splendid time~ We stayed the suite in the twin dolphin tower and room was spacious with a large living room and bathroom, view of ocean was pretty from the room! The Cabo wabo restaurant is amazing here! The pork tacos are a must get~ Jacuzzi is solid and had lots of bubbles. We appreciated that the room had robe so we can walk to from room to pool. We also ordered room service and the egg Benedict was bomb! Hotel is spacious and has lots of amenities from spa, waterside to kids~ The only hiccup was that one of our relatives had trouble getting a room due to miscommunication with the front desk regarding the room block. Overall great service and pretty views! Would definitely stay here again for a staycation~

Yelp
This place is a bonafide great resort for families traveling with kids. They have a poolside that has a slide that will excite any kid. The poolside is expansive but it fills up quick so you have to go reserve a spot early on if you want a decent poolside view. The hotel rooms are very clean and have great views to the pool. Their room service was spectacular and of high quality. This hotel really feels like a vacation away from home even if you are from Southern California. It truly makes you feel like you are away somewhere distant from home. It is right on the waterfront to give you a nice view of the ocean too.

Yelp
This hotel is very beautiful and strategically located off Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Huntington Beach. Remember, the name has the word "Resort" in it, therefore, you are expected to stay in the resort to Swim, Dine, enjoy the Bars, participate in activities, and use their parking facilities. It's meant to check in and stay for a few days with all amenities in the facility. But you will be paying resort prices for all meals and activities. Pros: - Conveniently located on PCH and next to Pacific City (outdoor shopping mall) - 2 Pools. One for relaxing and another with slides for kids. - Henry & Cabo are great restaurants, but you will pay much higher prices than going into town. - Offshore 9 rooftop bar is a great environment to grab a drink, look at the sunset, and snack before dinner - Walking distance to beach Cons: - Paying a premium for hotel, food, drinks. - Resort fee is $40 & valet is $55/day. Pricey. - Rooms facing the pool may be loud because of echoes. This property is a great place to enjoy a "staycation" or if you're visiting HB. You will pay a premium for the location and convenience of foods. You can literally walk around the provided robes all day and buy drinks at the bar and bring to your room. Very convenient for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Local spots to enjoy: - Mama's for Saturday or Sunday Brunch. Rent a bike or take a 0.5 mile walk from the hotel. - 602 Coffee in downtown Huntington Beach - Old Crow Smokehouse for unique food in Pacific City - BLK restaurant on 2nd floor on PCH near Main Street.

Yelp
Excellent location and a real treat for meeting space. Service was wonderful. Atmosphere a dream Food was incredible the great staff. Views were great and pleasant outdoor spaces Only problem was the valet which tried to give me the wrong Tesla keycard and argued about it

Yelp
I've been to the Waterfront Hotel a couple of times this month, and every visit has been excellent. Chad, in particular, has gone above and beyond each time. He's attentive, friendly, and always seems to be one step ahead of what guests need. It's rare to get that level of consistent service, and he really made each stay feel effortless. Definitely appreciate his professionalism and kindness.Thank You Chad you are the Best!!

Yelp
We had our wedding here in 2022. The venue is quite new, the event coordinator Vanessa was very helpful and patient with all my questions and requests, the ceremony space overlooks the ocean and is beautiful. Unfortunately the day of our wedding there was some special event at the beach, but that's completely unexpected and out of my control. The food though, was so so good for wedding food. Pretty much all our guests agreed the food was some of the best they've had at a wedding. I highly recommend considering having your wedding or special event at the Hilton Waterfront. I look forward to going back for an anniversary in the future!

Yelp
This was our first time in this resort. We usually stay at Paséa which is right next to it. I don't really want to compare them, but Paséa is better. The room was nice but just seemed plain. We had a full ocean view with a huge balcony. Room was in the 7th floor. The Cabo Wabo bar is pretty good! Hotel service was great and friendly. Valet parking was a very easy service. They provide you with a card and all you do is text them.

Yelp
This Hilton property was a standout. The location was perfect as it was right across from Huntington Beach. It is also a dog friendly hotel. The dog fee was $99 for the stay which was a fair price. As a morning swimmer the heated pool was terrific. They have two pools and this was important as the one with the slide is very crowded. We enjoyed hanging out at the quieter pool. The room was nice. We were on the 1st floor so our patio was large. I am being picky here but the outdoor table was dated and could use updating but I saw other rooms on the 1st floor with newer patio furniture so maybe we got the "dog room". I liked the pizza place on site. They have good pizza and deserts. We did not try any other restaurants on site. The fees are pricy but the service and facilities were excellent so this is just part of staying at a resort. The daily resort fee is $40 a day. The valet parking is $55 a day. Just be aware that these charges added up. We would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Excellent experience top to bottom. Staff is excellent as are the food and drink options. Beautiful ocean adjacent location. Concierge service is great. Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway.

Yelp
Very busy hotel, but didn't feel crowded. We went first week of April and the beach was still a little cold. The pool is heated and the hot tub is huge so that's where most of the families hung out. We enjoyed the Churros from Cabo Wabo restaurant and ate them at the hot tub. Kids even got their mango shakes. Very relaxing and fun at the same time. Hotel is at the heart of the beach, outdoor mall, and restaurants, all walking distance. 4 days were not enough!

Yelp
This is one of the most beautiful waterfront properties in Southern California inside and out. On top of an absolutely gorgeous aesthetic throughout the property, each, and every staff member is completely attentive, kind, and professional. The pool areas are kept beautifully and absolutely stunning. The rooms are immaculate and so comfortable. The food is absolutely extraordinary! It is one of the most family/kid friendly/pet friendly properties I've ever stayed at and I've been fortunate in the past to stay at some of the best hotels along the coast including Surf and Sand & the Montage in Laguna Beach and the Loews Santa Monica Pier. But once again, I would say it is the staff that is the heart of why this property is so wonderful to have the opportunity to visit. I would love to give a shout out to Tamara ( and her manager David) at the front desk who is one of the most patient, kind, and compassionate people I've ever met. Prior to our arrival, Tamara helped me set up the reservation and gave me the inside scoop on anything and everything I asked her about with such kindness. She did not rush me at all, and I'm sure she had a ton of people in front of her at the front desk. She made by 53rd birthday and the celebration of my daughters' 10th birthday so special! When we arrived to the hotel, Misty greeted all of us including our two dogs setting the tone for a great stay! Jonathan who helped us to the room was such a wonderful delegate of the property explaining everything so well as if he was our personal concierge! Kevin, the bartender at the pool, was so sweet to have sent us a gorgeous fruit and cheese plate to celebrate our birthdays absolutely out of the blue! I got tears in my eyes! Jen by the pool surveys the guests with an eagle eye and is able to notice you need her before you even have to look up! The property itself is kept so beautifully by maintenance and housekeeping. All of them have a smile on their face and look truly happy to be working here. The property has two large pools that are dog friendly (as long as they are on leash by you) one for laps and a little quieter and one that's quite large looking out at the ocean with two water slides. There are two hot tubs on the property that are quite large by each pool. They have a casual dining restaurant, Cabo Wabo that you can sit inside or out by the fire pits. You can also eat their food sitting by the pool. Happy Hour is 3-5pm each day. There is a quick pick up and go marketplace that has hot and cold food plus darling little mementos's of Huntington Beach. There is a fine dining restaurant Henry's, open Thursday through Sunday, which looks stunning! They also have Room Service and of course you can always order Uber eats/DoorDash to your room. They have an in-house spa, a huge business center, a clothing store, and tons of meeting spaces plus gorgeous event spaces for weddings. You can even rent an oceanfront cabana or have them set up a fire pit on the beach for you and friends at an extra cost. I am a single mom of twin daughters and I saved up my Hilton Honors Miles for the stay. I would say the only negative is having to pay for valet parking especially since we had no need to leave the property. Although, I will say that the valet guys are all great and manage a steady stream of hotel guests and people dining at the property with expedient finesse. I've decided to put all of my automatic bill pay on my Hilton card now so we visits again soon! Thank you to each and every staff member for making our birthdays special. Each and everyone of you deserves a raise and a promotion!!!You are the reason I am a Hilton Honors member and switched from Marriot Bonvoy. Literally there is nothing to say negative about this hotel in general. Thank you 1 million times over for making our stay so very special and memorable. We truly made memories of a lifetime!

Yelp
We're at the tail end of our summer break so we decided to squeeze in a staycation at the picturesque Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. After a breezy check in we walked into a coastal chic room. It was so clean, neatly decorated with a stunning view of both the pool and the ocean. We quickly changed, headed downstairs to grab a bite to eat at CaboWabo. I love how kid friendly this hotel is. They have water slides, snowcone cart, body art and animal ballon shaping all right around the pool. Also, they make amazing mojitos. it's safe to say kiddos and parents were all living it up. Before dinner we grabbed some ice cream and iced coffee, which I can confidently say were top tier. I also love that the resort so close to The Pacific City Shopping Mall which has tones of stores, restaurants and live music playing. At night we made smores and the kids absolutely loved that! The next day we hit the pool bright and decided to go across the street by the beach. The resort provides wagons, towels, beach umbrellas and toys for the kids which made is so much easier. The beach was so clean with miles of seashells which was something we did not expect.. It was absolutely breathtaking. I have a feeling we will be back here again very very soon!

Yelp
Had a fantastic stay at The Waterfront Beach Resort. I typically have a 50% shot of experiencing a poor stay at a Hilton property, but everything was just about perfect here. Great location next to Pacific City and the heart of Huntington Beach. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, and of course, the beach itself, complete with walking trail and what not. The Waterfront Beach Resort maintains a beach shop to facilitate the item rentals that are included as part of your resort fee. Opt for a beach view if you can! My room was shockingly available at 10:30 AM, so I got a super-duper early check-in. The beach view was worth it in my mind. Room was clean and organized. Pool was clean and well-maintained. There was a wedding in the afternoon, so one of the pools was shut down to hotel guests. Water slide is available to entertain the kids. Poolside food and bar service were decent. You will need to be sporting a wrist band (single-use zip-tie, replacements available upon request) to be in the pool area. The breakfast buffet wasn't the best for $38 a person. However, the limited breakfast menu at the Cabo Wabo was basically serving the same items. I'd suggest to steer clear of the breakfast and go somewhere else instead. Alcohol menu was decent. Parking was valet only - all the valet guys were very friendly. Text the number for quicker retrieval of your vehicle, but I didn't find the wait to be terribly long at check out time. Overall, the stay was excellent, the staff was helpful/friendly, and the atmosphere of the resort was relaxed. Everything worked when it was supposed to, so no complaints.

Yelp
Arrived at check in for my upgraded suite room just prior to 4 pm. It was not ready. Was told it would be ready in five minutes. Fifteen minutes later went back to the front desk and they said it was still being prepared, only five minutes more and she would walk over to where we are sitting to get us when available. After 12 minutes, I walked back to the front desk and the person who was suppose to come and let us know was gone. Room was still not ready. When it was finally ready ( I was now already late to a meeting) we entered the room and they had not replenished the coffee pods. Toilet was from the 90's - a low boy, no plugs or clock by the bed on either side, which normally have IPhone plug ins and ac/dc plugs, had to charge phones and watches on the floor on low plugs away from the bed, TV remote only partially worked. Drape came off from hangers. Tub/shower where water comes out and has the pull you pull up to stop flow to tub to get water in the shower head only partly worked when you pulled it up so shower pressure was weak. Lighting had low watt bulbs so at night was a bit too dark. I never have a problem paying a higher price for a nice room or suite, but it is clear that this hotel needs to spend a bit more in basic upgrades for their rooms. This is 2025, not the 80"s or 90's.

Yelp
Thank you so much for the amazing stay! We've stayed at the Waterfront Hilton before and are locals, but this was by far the best experience yet. The entire team went above and beyond to make our daughter's birthday truly special. From the thoughtful touches to the outstanding service, everything was absolutely perfect. The ocean view room was stunning, seeing our beautiful pier. The food at Cabo Wabo was so tasty and the breakfast buffet was delicious! The staff all around the hotel were on top of things! A special shoutout to Jordan--thank you for your attention to detail and for making our daughter feel so celebrated. It's been a tough season for our family, and this trip brought so much light and joy. We are so grateful for the kindness and care we received. We will be back soon!

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Hilton Waterfront and stayed in the Catalina suite. We loved the location, the amazing view and the size of the room. While I understand the Huntington tower is the original tower, the room could use some updates. There were some imperfections that I would expect to be taken care of for a suite. Please see pictures below. Other than that, great pools and great service at the cabana, Henry's was amazing and great service, along either the Cabo Wabo inside bar!

Yelp
This place is stunning. As soon as we pulled up, valet greeted us right away. Since we arrived on a Wednesday, check-in was quick and seamless. Our hotel room was clean, modern, and comfortable. We spent some time by the bonfire near the restaurant and bar upstairs, where we dined at Cabo Wabo. The food was incredible--we had the Mex Bowl and lobster tacos--and the service was excellent. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Yelp
Had family visiting from the East Coast and decided to do a staycation in Huntington Beach. Reserved a comfy pool side cabana with a beautiful beach view. Spent the day dipping in their clean heated pool, eating and having a few refreshing adult drinks. We all enjoyed our visit so much. The staff was attentive and checked in with us often in case we needed anything. Even brought us extra towels and few blankets to stay warm after our pool fun. The food we ordered was great. Our favorite was the ceviche, pizza and chicken tenders with fries. The manager Lear personally came by to introduce himself and welcome us. He made sure we were well taken care off and we definitely appreciated the hospitality. My family and i are looking forward to visiting again in the very near future.

Yelp
Sadly very disappointed with the stay this time. This is my 4th stay here for my birthday. I am a diamond member and I expect a lot more from Hilton. Checkin in was poor the woman at the counter said I have a great suite. For $700 a night I expected a nice upgrade. Where do I start they have an upgraded tower but they didn't give me a suite there. Old couches and bad plumbing. The plumber spent a long time to fix the clogged sink. Then the bath tub was clogged. Usually I get a bottle of wine in the room for my bday or a free drink or something. This time absolutely nothing. Very very disappointed

Yelp
This hotel really makes you feel like you're on a destination resort. Two big separate towers. Two pools and lots of nice places to lounge on property. Balcony was really nice but there is a parking lot separating the hotel and the ocean. Room was very nice and detailed.

Yelp
Weekend getaway was what I needed. The resort is clean and welcoming. The valet was good and check in was quick. The room was just perfect, with an ocean and pool view. The decor was nice and beach theme. The comfy beds and big tv, with mini frig. And in room mini coffee bar was a perfect touch! The pool was heated and jacuzzi relaxing. There are lots to do here. We played pink pong, corn hole and sat by the fire pit at night. There is are a few restaurants and bars. Family oriented too. Very classy hotel! Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Had a rough morning here. Ordered room service and tried to call ahead to see if they could do Gluten Free French toast for my young daughter who is GF. The phone rang about 30 times and just hung up. Tried twice more and no answer. So, I placed the order through their website and added a note for GF French toast, thinking they'd call if it wasn't an option and we could pick something else. No call. After calling the front desk twice asking where our food was (it took 1 1/2 hours) , the guy shows up with 2 of the 3 meals we ordered and said they don't do Gf French toast. So, instead of calling me to let me select something else, they just canceled my daughter's breakfast. So, I guess she gets to watch us eat. However, the staff went above and beyond to make up for it! They apologized profusely and offered to make my daughter the GF French Toast, Even though it isn't on their menu and they comped our meal for the inconvenience. Very pleased with the entire staff for taking a very unfortunate situation and making it a very positive one. Highly recommend the staff here!

Yelp
The service here alone deserves all the praise in the world. From check-in to checkout, everything was absolutely seamless. We arrived early in the morning on our arrival day for an event, and the hotel concierge held onto our luggage no problem. And once we got to our room, we were floored by how spotless everything was. Plus whenever we needed something, hotel staff would be at our door within three minutes. Every single person helped us with a smile, no questions asked. Some other highlights of the resort are: 1) Multiple dining options throughout the property, including an AMAZING brunch buffet at Cabo Wabo 2) Multiple pools and hot tubs 3) A complimentary shuttle that takes you to and from destinations within a few miles of the hotel 4) An on-site spa Overall, I struggle to find something wrong with this resort. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Yelp
Great location and a perfect spot to stay with family or friends. The service was nice, the rooms were well taken care of, and the resort felt safe enough to let my teenager run around with her friends. They offer beach towels, wagons, and umbrellas for the beach. I'd recommend it and I'll be back--the beach has cleaned up and is looking good again compared to past years.

Yelp
Where do I begin....... I contacted the company to schedule an onsite tour for the wedding venues. I was in email communication with Alicia, and she scheduled the tour and stated that I will be meeting with Brooke or Vanessa. When I arrived, all hell broke loose. I pulled into the valet services and waited for 3 minutes before I asked the employees to assist with my car; they were 4 young guys just standing there talking and laughing, smh. Once I walked inside to check in, the front desk tried contacting Brooke, Vanessa, and even the sales team over and over; no one answered. So, I stepped to the side to contact them myself, and no answer. I called and emailed Alicia; no response. I called the backup line of catering; no answer. It's now 40 minutes after my scheduled tour time, and they found a manager that just so happened to be there celebrating her own family gathering. Thankfully she stepped away to assist. For the troubles and inconvenience, she offered lunch. Once the tour was completed, I still had unanswered questions and was told Alicia will follow up with me with a quote. I waited 3 days. Guess what? No response. I called Alicia myself to express to her everyone's unprofessionalism (including hers) and the worst experience ever. She apologized; however, it seemed careless as well. I was already not going to go with the venue; however, I allowed them to dig themselves in a further unacceptable hole, as I knew I was going to report them to a higher authority and leave a bad and honest review. Overall, the venue is not ideal for a wedding; they don't have locations close enough or convenient for your guests to go from the ceremony to cocktail hour and then the reception. It's noisy, there's no privacy for your ceremony, and it's overpriced for spaces. DO NOT FALL FOR THE PICTURES!

Yelp
The room was amazing and the staff was also amazing! The view was stunning and the pool was fun with the outstanding slides. The room was clean and the whole place is awesome. I will definitely be staying again and the beds were nice and the tv huge. 5 STARS

Yelp
Disappointing 25th Anniversary Experience at Waterfront Hilton! As locals, we always strive to support local businesses and we were excited to celebrate our 25th anniversary at the Hilton. Upon check-in, we were warmly welcomed, and later booked a poolside cabana through the concierge. We informed her that our sons would join us for a few hours, and we paid $850 for the cabana with the understanding it was ours from 10 AM to 10 PM. Gladis, the concierge, was wonderful and even sent us a complimentary cheese and wine plate to celebrate our anniversary, which we brought to our cabana. Our sons joined us with proper wristbands, at the pool we spent an additional $700 on food and drinks, respecting the policy of no outside food or beverages. However, at 9 PM, a security guard rudely insisted we leave the cabana--despite our rental lasting until 10 PM. We explained this, but he was unrelenting. In the confusion, we didn't even have time to collect all our belongings, including sunglasses. While my husband went to the front desk to explain, I stayed to gather our things. During this time, a pool manager named Kevin entered our rented cabana and took the wine that was gifted to us by the concierge. When I confronted him, he claimed outside wine and glassware weren't permitted--even though it was a Hilton gift. We ultimately left the pool area feeling humiliated and frustrated on what was meant to be a special evening. The next morning at checkout, I shared our experience with the front desk and asked about our missing sunglasses. A manager named Chez came out, listened to our story, and said he would speak with security, look for our items, and follow up with us within 24 hours. It's been over a week, and we have heard nothing from Chez or Hilton. We expected much better from a property of this caliber. Sadly, what should have been a beautiful, memorable celebration turned into a deeply disappointing experience.

Yelp
Just went by first time and have no complaints at all , people who complain should go to Beverly Hills hotels if you not satisfied. Everyone was nothing but friendly and helpful even offering shuttle to go places near by. I definitely recommend this Resort to everyone with kids and family

Yelp
Stayed here 3 nights for a conference, and it was an enjoyable stay. Check in and out was easy; staff was friendly. Room was comfortable, and loved the balcony with ocean view. Several restaurants/bars, including Cabo Wabo, which had a nice casual vibe w/ fun music. The Baja fish tacos were actually really good! Two pools, one with water slide and large hot tubs which were perfect for the chilly nights. The $50/day valet parking charge was pretty steep (No self park option), but I got a Hilton Honors rate that included a $50/day credit, so evened out.

Yelp
Gio Oscar Joel kami Fernando (aka Kyle 2.0) are the MOST amazing bar tenders. Made us feel so welcome and my friend from out of town said this is the best bar non bar no pun intended. Hands down would come down here 7 out of 7 days of the week!!!

Yelp
We stayed here for spring break 2024. I was reluctant to stay in Huntington beach because of all the activity on the beach near the pier and main street. However ... this place only allows you to park or even walk around the premises if you are a guest which is great by me. Parking each day is $50- which really keeps it safe and I appreciate this. also, another thing I really appreciate is (and the kids loved) was the waterslides at the pool...and the thought that went behind the fact that there is two different pool locations. There is an adult pool and then there is a family/child pool, which has the 2 waterslides. The pools are on two different floors. Separated and private I loved that too! The ocean front property is nice and calm and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean and had 2 beds and a big patio overlooking the ocean. It was also clean and safe. The staff was really great! The valet people were really great. The overall experience was really nice. I like that they had a cute photo section where we could document our vacation with a photo machine, with back drops! Then they had places for us to hang out like cornhole and a pool table and a ping-pong table. Our kids even made friends with people that we still keep in touch with now that live in a different part of California. It's such a nice environment and a perfect place to take a vacation! We will definitely come back!

Yelp
Julio provided the best room service. Very professional and helpful. The hotel gave us the best customer service. Our daughter lost her bathing suit from our balcony the security found it for us. Everything was prompt and on time.

Yelp
Not sure why this place only has 3 stars on Yelp bc we've had a lovely Xmas "staycation" here. We drove down from LA to have a low-key holiday and the hotel has done a really cute job of making the place festive and fun for kids. It's clean and well-appointed and we loved the pools, food options, and location. A+

Yelp
The Waterfront is one of the most beautiful Hilton hotels I have stayed at. Right as you walk in, it feels like a resort with its beautifully decorated spaces and thoughtfully designed architecture. The common areas are clean and extremely cozy. The vibes are coastal and very suitable for Huntington beach. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. It was a standard room but it was more than enough for the two of us. The bathroom and room was well lit and the balcony had the most beautiful oceanside view. The room was very quiet despite being right next to the elevators. Service was friendly though we checked in online and really only received service when leaving. This is a fantastic hotel to use your Hilton free night on, although the regular nightly prices can be steep $500+ a night. The hotel is overall very modernized and maintained well. Valet parking is $45 for overnight with in/out privileges and the valet drivers were nice and professional. There is no option for self parking here. As a hilton honor gold member, you receive two free water bottles at the desk. I like that they give you an extra key to keep the room energy on. They also give you wristbands to enjoy the pool deck. There is a waterslide which is mostly enjoyed by young kids. The beach access is pretty convenient for guests to just walk over to the beach. The Waterfront was really worth using up our Hilton free night stay. The views were immaculate especially during sunset from their rooftop bar.

Yelp
Racist, prejudice and evil towards people of color. They asked my daughter to not go on the slide until all the other kids went down, all because we were not white. The bartenders all sell drugs on the side. The front desk are all harassing and they overcharge you up the a** on anything and everything. The hotel is dirty, smelly and overpriced ! So do yourself a favor and stay at pelican or balboa.
