What a nice place to come in a grab some food at. You feel welcomed every time you step in.

Their signature sandwich is phenomenal. All fresh ingredients, put together perfectly well. Priced well. I'm rarely in their vicinity but whenever I am, I will go back.

Delicious food & great service. I ordered the chicken parmigiana wedge sandwich, sweet potato fries, and the mozzarella sticks. All absolutely delicious- very tasty. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes. Service was great as the staff was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Reasonably priced and good food. Stopped in for a quick sandwich when walking by. I ordered a Cubano sandwich and it was quite good. My wife had a BLT which she said was very good also.

I walked almost quarter a mile to this place based on the reviews and ordered an Eggplant sandwich. However after bringing my sandwich back to the office and starting to have it, I realized that the eggplant only had the skin and nothing else. Went back with pictures he said he will make a new sandwich and charged me for it with a "discount". I asked why should I be charged and he said "had I brought the sandwich back, he would haven't charged me. Agreed, I should have but having the sandwich already taken a bite, it would have been a little disgusting to bring it with me and instead I took the pictures and showed it to him to no point. Please explain to me how do you find it reasonable to bring back to you a sandwich out of which I have taken a bite to prove my point?

Amazing!!!! I went here almost everyday while doing vaccine work and if I’m ever back in Yonkers I’ll pay you guys a visit with my family! This was an amazing place with a homey feel

Guau this is my first time in this store I'm always walking 🚶‍♂️and is close on Sunday and today I'm having pancakes 🥞 w beacon was so delicious I definitely recommend also the place was very clean 👌

I have been looking at this place for over a year and finally decided to go in. The customer service was A1. The man at the counter (assuming the owner) was super friendly and welcoming! He suggested some sandwich choices and helped me choose my sandwich. I had the Italian and it was fireeeee!! I'm from the south so we aren't big on sandwiches but I am hooked! I will defiantly be back for more. :)

Shop was super clean and staff were super friendly. Giving it 3 stars because I got the chicken chopped cheese and it wasn't great. The idea was solid but the flavors were definitely lacking, especially with the chicken. That said, I would give them another shot because apparently the jibarito sandwich is great.

Asked for some ice because their cola wasn't very cold. $1:50 upcharge...lol Lady at counter quite surly too.

The sandwiches here are still amazing. Any chance I get, I stop by and grab an El Jibarito to go, steak of course, with everything on it. I saw a sign for El Poblanito and I may have to try that sando out as well. The guys make the sandos here really well. They're quick and the place is always clean. The staff is always friendly and I've never been disappointed. Their food is on the money.

For one, this is a great sandwich place. It is usually crowded. When there is construction around here, all the construction workers come. I have just found the Jibarito sandwich on their menu and Oh My Goodness, it is friggin delicious! You can have steak, chicken, fish, and eggplant. I live for the steak sandwich. You have the option of having it on a hero roll or fried plantain. Fried plantain every day all day! It comes with stuff so you can have it made to order foe extra or to take away. It's not quick it takes about 20 min to prepare, but when it is done, you get to delve into the tastiest sandwich ever! Omg the Latin flavors! You have to try it! I have been having it delivered. But, I just came from the nail salon down the block Satchi Nail Salon and decided to stop in. I am waiting for it now. Can't wait to get home to eat it!!!!!!!! You must give it a try! The pic doesn't do it justice.

I had the El Jibarito Sandwich which was amaaaaaaaaazingly amazing. Healthy slash unhealthy. Sorry I have no photos. I was TOO hungry to take a flick. It was lettuce, onion, tomatoe, avocado... your choice of eggplant, chicken, fish, or steak. I had the steak. I can't forget the delicious house sauce that comes with the meal. I also had some black tea with it that was perfectly blended with the tea . The service is great and parking was easy to find

Sooooo dissatisfied and disappointed and grossed out. Got that steak plantain sandwich and I had to spit it out. Such a waste of money. The steak must of been old... it tasted like old steak. The one you see in the supermarket and it's brown kinda old , not the bright red fresh one. Very bad pungent smell and taste... if it wasn't for the steak it woulda been ok I guess. Definitely way overhyped.. maybe they just had a bad day.

I was in the area for work and craving something tasty and filling. I got the sausage peppers and onions on a roll. Tastes just like my mom's! Fast and friendly service too. :) definitely recommend to any local or visitor like myself.

I found this place roaming through door dash looking for a descent sandwich shop. The first Item that caught my eye was "The Jibarito" sandwich - a classic Puerto Rican toston sandwich (fried plantain sandwich). Trying that sandwich was the best decision I've made for lunch in a while. I was instantly hooked and it has now become my weekly go to for days when my appetite is being a spoiled brat. I usually get this item delivered, and its been a good mix of getting the toston crispy and not. Even on days where the sandwich is not crispy it still holds up. The skirt steak is tender and the other veggie ingredients taste fresh every time. They also add a pickle (which is a big yes for my pickle loving self), coleslaw and a really great pink garlicky sauce that really brings the sandwich together nicely. When my bank account was finally hanging by its last thread, I decided to go pick my order up to "save money" (ha!) and I was pretty surprised by its appearance. I guess I was expecting more of an upscale cafe looking place (based on the quality on the sandwich) than a convenience-deli hybrid looking store. Also, the interior doesn't have a big seating area. They have about two tables set up, which makes it a pick up rather than dine in spot in our perspective. This is just to encourage the random stroller to look past the outer appearance and order the jibarito :). You wont be disappointed. And as a cherry on top, the workers are really warm and friendly.

I get a chopped cheese on a wedge from here. I must admit it's really good. Unlike many places, they add onions and peppers which packs flavor. I went three times since my first visit just to have that chop cheese.

My fiancé and I were going to have a picnic and bought sandwiches from this shop. Unfortunately, I didn't get to eat my pastrami sandwich because they messed up the order. I asked for just pastrami and cheese on my sandwich and nothing else. This was told to them 3 times. They put coleslaw on it as well. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is because my fiancé loved his sandwich.

Above average sandwich shop in downtown Yonkers. I used to come here when I worked nearby and it was always a reliable option. Skip "El Jibarito", which is a steak sandwich that uses fried plantains instead of bread. Cool idea but it ends up being gratuitous not to mention about as unhealthy as you can possibly get. Get it with bread instead for better results. Generally speaking the Latino options are all good, but never had anything else here I didn't like. Perfect for the offices nearby and very cheap for the amount of food. A worthwhile option if you're nearby.

I had ordered online through Yelp and ordered a Chicken Parm. Not only was this a hefty, delicious sandwich, but they had it ready on time for pick up so there wasn't any waiting. The sandwich was huge for the price and lasted me two meals!

From the outside this place looks like a convenience store but the inside it looks like a deli. I ordered the chicken salad on a roll. It was pretty good. I ordered it with cheese, tomato, and jalapeno. The chicken salad wasnt bland and it had big chunks of chicken which I love. The service is quick and the price is right. Nice little neighborhood spot.

A hometown local. Firstly, let's start with the location and interior: the location is prime for downtown Yonkers as its growing and nice little gems are popping up. The interior is nice and cozy, well lit. However, there's only 3 tables with 4 chairs each with room for more. I'd say they should add 2 seaters along the side of the wall and scoot the bigger tables over a little. Staff: friendly, welcoming, gets the job done. I ate the "El Jibarito" and it was GREAT. It truly is a must have: skirt steak, avocados, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo. Steak was tender, other ingredients were fresh. Comes with a side of cole slaw(vinegar based) which was also delicious. I'd recommend getting this to stay or takeout, because I've read that delivery takes a while and the plantains arrive soggy. This spot can and should get more popular among locals, if they owner adds a menu to Yelp/Order online option + a flyer/board outside of the store with specials, etc. WILL BE BACK, when nearby.

De-Licious. Great wraps and even better salad. This place is my usual lunch spot when i'm in the area. Kept very clean as well. Parking is the only hassle but there's a 6-8 car lot on the street right next to the shop.. Definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't been here before.

Corner NY deli. Welcoming staff. Food was delicious. El Jabirito sandwich is tasty. Fried crispy plantains are used in place of a bread, which is perfect if you want to try something different. Only complaint is I wish the steak on the sandwich was doubled; seemed a bit skimpy on the portions, but overall very good. Would go back.

Excellent chicken parm wedge for $8. I got extra mozzarella and it was perfect. It was HUGE and I split it with my husband. The customer service was great and they were welcoming. I'll be coming back!

Had the philly cheesesteak which was packed with raw peppers and onions instead of cooked down. In addition the cook used sliced roast beef, which was kept long and inedible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Their Friendly staff can't make up for these flaws.

I had a large order for 10 people and needed specific things for each meal and an itemized receipt. While they couldn't provide a receipt like that, the man behind the counter gave me the sheet he wrote down the orders on, a printed out copy of the menu, and a separate copy of everything I bought. I really appreciate all the effort he went to helping me. Everyone loved their sandwiches, coffee and teas and the price was beyond reasonable. They finished all 10 sandwiches within 30 minutes of me calling too!

Great service and there prices are reasonable they treat there customers like family so actually I call this business a mom's&pop's place there food is amazing and there worker are pleasant when you come in the first thing they do is greet you so your welcome is healthy to always give them business don't ever abandon them we need them here for a very long time..family oriented but I love there food ..Chicken Parm BLT Wrap Comidas Calientes Cubano Sandwich El Jibarito Sandwich! Stopped by the wedge while looking for a local sandwich shop in Yonkers. He shop has all the basic sandwiches you could want and it seems like the staff can make you something if it's not on the menu. The prices seem fair given its close proximity to NYC. Expect to pay between 5-10 for a sandwich. Limited seating, but here is a nice park across the street. Friendly and welcoming this is a good spot to grab a bite to eat.

Small new sandwich spot in walking distance from the train. It has about 3 tables and can hold 12 people eating in. The menus are up on the wall, but a few of the sandwiches are specially named and there is no description (eg "The Wedge"). They don't have take away menus either, but it is the usual deli hot and cold fair, along with wraps, salads, paninis and appetizers. They even do breakfast. I tried an Italian Combo for my first go around. It was good sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. The bread was good, the meat and veggies were great. Keep up the great work. The only thing I wanted with this though, was a bag of chips. They had pastries and cookies, but no chips. I wish this place luck. They make a great sandwich and I hope to get another soon. It is 10x better than that old Waterfront Deli that closed recently. I'd also be interested in a take home menu and possible delivery area.

El Jibarito, no cheese, cooked tomatoes & onion. Looks to me like the best part of this place is the "comidas calientes". You can order rice & beans, pasta, vegetables, & a meat for around $11. You can pick from what they have on display. I did not know when I walked in but after I ordered the place filled up with local construction workers getting delicious smelling plates heaped with food. Good grief! It smells good. I want to stick my fork in their plates. This place is very busy at midday so preorder when you can! Fast & friendly service.

First time here and I had the Jibarito. The Jibarito is a must try! You won't regret it.

I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at The Wedge at different times over the past month. The food is solid, prices are reasonable, and the service is great. El Jibarito is my go-to sandwich here.

I've eaten here twice since I moved to the area. The first time I ordered delivery. I had the jibarito, and I think that I would have liked it much better if I'd ordered it in the shop. It was on point, I was disappointed that the fried plantain got soggy by the time I ate it. The second time I went in and ordered the chicken parm sub (or whatever they call subs around yonkers. Grinder?). The chicken parm sub was great. The bread was good and the cheese seemed fresh and the sauce tasted great. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked. I'd be happy to sit in there and eat a sandwich any time, and it's near my apartment so I'll be going back there. I would give this place 5 stars if the jibarito arrived still crispy when I ordered it.

Ordered El Cubano. It is NOT a Cubano sandwich. More Cubano inspired than anything else. Which considering the neighborhood is probably a bad idea. There are authentic cubanos around. That being said the sandwich was very tasty. It has roast pork that is actually sandwich meat. It's sliced like turkey. Not like real roasted pork. The ham is grilled and good. They add deli pickles and Russian dressing... Yeah, well the combination tastes good. The whole sandwich is grilled like a panini which does a lot for the hero bread. Anyway, the wait was ok. There are only 3 small tables inside so took it to go. The sandwich and a 20oz soda was $10.51. Good price and a tasty meal. I probably won't return. I've eaten here before. The sandwiches tend to be basic or just not something you crave. Still, if you are on the waterfront and want a deli sandwich to go for a fair price it's worth it.

Lunch Delivery is always fast and fresh. El jibarito (MUST TRY) (the puerto rican sandwich) will arrive with the plantains still crispy. All of the sandwiches that my peers and I have ordered have been good so far.

This is exactly what this neighborhood needed! While this place is more expensive than most in the area, you definitely get what you pay for. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. I tried their cobb salad and it was fresh and delicious. On top of that, it had REAL BACON! No bacon bits out of the bag for this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality food in the downtown yonkers area.

Happened to pass this spot after a long days work in need of a snack. Had a great selection of different sandwiches to paninis, wraps and even hot food. Food was Excellent!! I ordered the cuban which was cooked and seasoned perfectly and had a side of freshly cooked fries to go. The establishment was very clean and orderly. After speaking with one of the very well mannered employees i found out this is a brand new establishment and they will also start delivery very soon as well as expanding their already delicious menu. I will most certainly come here again and even have food delivered. I recommend this place to anyone in need of a great sit down meal or something on the go to your next destination.I really hope they do well. Give them your support!!!

Ordered a chicken wrap- pretty simple, right? Stingy with the chicken, didn't want to give dressing, and the wraps were just tossed in a bag- no chips, no presentation. Overpriced and terrible customer service. Too bad, since it's local and you want to support. But I'll pass on this place.
