"The Well is Boston’s only non-profit coffee shop, which may be reason enough to support them. But it’s also important to know that they make light, medium, and dark roast cold brews, which is a rarity in this city. So you can pick your preferred style of coffee, even when it’s 200 degrees outside - a fact that makes us sleep easier at night." - joel ang

"The Well is Boston’s only non-profit coffeehouse, with two locations in South Station and on State Street. It’s also one of the only spots that serves cold brew in light, medium, and dark varieties, if you’re particular about caffeine on ice (we are). Otherwise, there’s also a large selection of flavored drinks with things like white chocolate, English toffee, and coconut. As a head’s up - the wifi at State Street can be slow, in case you’re trying to get some work done when you stop by." - Joel Ang

What a cute coffee shop! I visited during December so the store was trimmed with holiday decor. My husband and I each had a seasonal beverage. I had the nutcracker latte and my husband had the cinnamon roll latte based on the signs at the store. Highly recommend both!

The woman that took our order wasn’t exactly what I’d call pleasant. Also, better make sure you like mud. The stuff they tried to pass off as a vanilla flavored hot coffee didn’t taste much different than wet dirt. I went across the street to get the taste out of my mouth at DD, and we all know that isn’t gourmet.

First time to Boston. Found this place on way to some sightseeing. Super nice staff, excellent bakery, and they a great Latte. Also found out that they check bags as part of Bounce app. Very convenient to use when you have time, but don't want to drag around luggage.

This shop is a nice Christian coffee shop. The vibes are alright and the service was prompt. I wasn’t in love with the coffee and thought it lacked the flavor I’m used to with specialty coffee. The bathroom was clean and no noticeable dirt or grime. Prices were average for coffee in the city. About $4 for a large

This discovery was unfortunately very disappointing. In the reviews below people were commenting on this apparently amazing coffee. Also, the pics of latte art seemed promising. In reality, however, the coffee is really bad - it’s not delicious at all, the roast is too dark and leaving the dark gold tasteless. On top, it’s served way too hot, which also doesn’t at all contribute to a flavorful experience but rather destroys the taste of the roast. This is why we only had two tasteless cappuccinos… :( Worse even you ONLY get everything served for to go, which means that their pics on Google regarding their coffee (and their pastries) are clearly fake. Very disappointing. If you are looking for latte art and good coffee look elsewhere! The pastry was good, but served cold, even though we asked for it to be toasted. Hmmmmmm…. On top, the interior is rather tasteless and not cozy or comfortable at all. The only positive point is the that the staff was very friendly. All in all, this coffee place seems like a cheap version of Starbucks. If you are looking for good coffee and a nice experience, I recommend you considering other places around…

Got a half sweet iced mocha latte, still tastes like chocolate milk. Little to no espresso flavor detectable, overall mocha rating 4/10 Service staff and overall vibes of the place were good, nice to sit and do work

Excellent latte. Recommended. Shop has a nice and cosy feel in the heart of Boston - good vibes and a chill place.

Quick service, great seating, clean, but more than anything, the baristas were SUPER friendly and engaged. Really wonderful experience! 5/5
