4 Great Spots In Boston For Iced Coffee - Boston - The Infatuation

"The Well is Boston’s only non-profit coffee shop, which may be reason enough to support them. But it’s also important to know that they make light, medium, and dark roast cold brews, which is a rarity in this city. So you can pick your preferred style of coffee, even when it’s 200 degrees outside - a fact that makes us sleep easier at night." - joel ang

The Well Coffeehouse - Review - Downtown - Boston - The Infatuation

"The Well is Boston’s only non-profit coffeehouse, with two locations in South Station and on State Street. It’s also one of the only spots that serves cold brew in light, medium, and dark varieties, if you’re particular about caffeine on ice (we are). Otherwise, there’s also a large selection of flavored drinks with things like white chocolate, English toffee, and coconut. As a head’s up - the wifi at State Street can be slow, in case you’re trying to get some work done when you stop by." - Joel Ang

After wandering around on a sunny day, we were craving some tea or coffee, a bit of relaxation and, honestly, a bathroom break, haha! We stopped by The Well and tried their Mocha and Caffè Latte. It was the perfect spot to unwind. The place has plenty of tables and seating, lots of books and board games, and a wide selection of snacks to try. The staff are super friendly, and there was even a line, so you know it’s a must-visit.

Visited for a local concert. Loved the ambience— truly goes give local coffee shop. They had a variety of pastries to choose from and excellent choices of beverage as well as snacks. I did love that they had a section for merch, cards & other small, local items. Parking was easy - spot hero & got the garage across the way. Super spacious setting in the cafe, stage for the nights they host events & plenty of comfortable seating. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for having us!

The mocha was on the pleasantly strong side, both for the coffee and the taste of mocha itself. It also is much cheaper than at other spots nearby. However, the most impressive part of this local coffee shop is the fact that it is a nonprofit and supports different charities each month! It feels genuine and positive in pursuing its mission. They also appear to be faith-based, though there is no religious iconography in the store - I only noticed a reference to a Christian Bible verse through the wifi.

Ordered their fresh brewed coffee; important to note I went close to their closing time. It was delicious and actually fresh! The staff there were very friendly, and the place itself is cute and calm.

Their crème brûlatte hits the spot. Perfectly flavored and not overtly sweet. Their croissant was nice, flaky and buttery. A good alternative to chain coffee shops around Government Center.

Cinnamon roll latte with a ham and cheese croissant. Really can’t go wrong with any of their pastries! Service was quick but can be confusing since they don’t call out names for orders. Just have to remember who was in front of you in line and your order should be the next called.

Absolutely lovely place to get breakfast! Plenty of fun coffee options if you like it sweet and flavorful, and delicious simple drip coffee too. Lots of tables, comfy chairs, and lovely baristas. Right next to the Old State House, too!

So many coffee options and delicious hash browns. I was very happy with the taste of the apple pie chai and the fluffernutter latte I received. I will be coming back to try some more flavors out!
